AUTHOR'S NOTE: This fanfic is inspired by Glory's original back card story, as well as her story from the UK MLP Fact File. All ponies, as well as Megan, Danny, and Molly belong to Hasbro. All the other human characters belong to me.

Glory wanted a special friend. Sundance had Megan, Surprise had Danny, Shady had Molly, Medley had Julie, and Whizzer had Tommy. Glory was friends with all of them, but she wanted her own special friend. But not just any special friend. Her special friend had to believe in unicorns, and her special friend had to believe in magic. Those kinds of people were hard to come by. All she could do was sit and watch her friends play and spend time with their own special friends.

"What's wrong, Glory?" Moondancer asked.

"Oh nothing," Glory sighed. "I just wished I had a special friend like Sundance, Surprise, Shady, Medley, and Whizzer."

"Well, don't give up," Moondancer said, giving Glory an encouraging nuzzle. "You never know when someone special is going to drop in on Ponyland."

"I hope not!" Truly shouted. "I've had dreams where people keep comin' into Ponyland, makin' friends with us. It was like everyone and their brother was comin' up here and we were bein' crowded out!"

"But I'd still like to find a special friend of my very own," Glory said, wistfully.

"We know," Truly said. "And I don't blame you one bit, sugar, I really don't, but you can't expect to find someone with the standards you've set!"

"What's wrong with wanting a special friend who believes in magic and unicorns?" Glory asked. "If people didn't believe in magic and unicorns, we wouldn't even exist! Would we?"

"Oh, who knows?" Truly asked, and she started to trot away. "I'm just tryin' to be realistic."

Glory glared at Truly, and went back to watching the other ponies with their special friends.

That night, Glory looked out the window of her bedroom, watching the stars in the sky. She kept waiting for a falling star, so she could make a wish upon it, but one never appeared.

"Oh well," the unicorn sighed. "There's always tomorrow night."

Glory yawned, closed her eyes, and went to sleep, hoping someday, she'd meet her special friend. As she slept, she began to dream. She was in a large, grassy field, and at the end of the field was a path.

"I just know if I follow this path, I'll find my special friend," she said.

Glory followed the path to it's end, which was at a large white castle with golden turrets. The unicorn immediately ran toward it. As she got closer, she saw a girl blond-haired girl with green eyes, sitting by a pond. She looked up, saw Glory, and practically jumped to her feet.

"It's you," she said. "You're the one I dream about every night! Are you here? Are you really here?"

"I . . . . I think so," Glory said, as she walked closer to the girl.

"I knew it!" the girl shouted, giving Glory a hug around the neck. "I just knew if I wished long and hard enough, my wish to meet a unicorn would come true!"

"I've been wishing to meet a special friend, too," Glory said. "One who believes in magic and unicorns. Oh, I'm so glad I've finally found you! Please, tell me your name!"

Before the girl could answer, there was the sound of a bell ringing. It was the alarm clock. Glory woke up with a start, and realized she hadn't found her special friend after all.

"Oh, pony feathers," she grumbled, frustratedly. "It was just a dream. I'll never find my special friend at this rate!"
