[1] Taxi
"Here. Drink." The elder man held out a big ceramic bowl to her through the bars.
She looked at it in disgust, getting an idea of what was planned for her again; that day.
The hand at the back of her neck shoved her forward, after his command, landing her in the back seat.
A bloodied figure stepped out onto the street. They looked around, noticing the familiar surroundings once again.
They were stood on a dimly lit street, at the outskirts of the bustling town the taxi had just driven through; the scents that broke their limits of restrain.
When they turned back to the taxicab they grabbed hold of the small luggage that had been thrown at her before driving away from the church.
Seeing the state of the taxicab, it was clear the driver would never work again.
As the building, their future home, came into view past the tree tops a downpour started.
Arriving at the gates of the premises her hunger pains roared again; want growing stronger.
The cold was getting to her, the rain washing off the remains of blood.
An all too familiar figure stepped out from the shadows of the premises, the gate opening as they did; Bernard. He stepped up to her, taking a bow before her and taking the bag off her arm.
He was one of the servants, quiet and reserved, yet kind. He had been the sole one to welcome her almost all of the time. This silence of his this time around was odd, yet comforting.
Bernard lead the young woman through the main entrance of the manor and a long way away to a small bedroom; her bedroom.
Along the way there were none of the usual greeting theatrics, not even a single sign of the other occupants. It felt rather cold, but something made the air around incredibly tense.
As the sounds from behind the door assured her, he had left and no one was around. She walked up to the bed, sitting down at the edge of the bed before finally sinking backwards onto the mattress. She took one more look around the dark room, small windows leading the light of the stars down an angled ceiling and onto the dark wooden door of the light colored room.
She slept soundly again for the first time in ages.
Awoken by a slight hint of that fresh scent wafting through the building, she sprung up and against the door, breaking it in the process.
Near animalistic she ran through the halls. First following the rattle of chains, then just the human scent and she sprung through another door.
This one didn't so much as break, but was opened from the inside.
In a single moment the petit girl behind it jumped out of the way, turned and ran out of the door, at the growl emitted by the other person.
The, now animalistic, woman followed her by foot, and by even just appearing before her.
With each of the woman's steps spooked again, the blond girl emitted a scream and was lead a different path. Everything happening was driven by mere instincts; fear and craving.
Reaching the lower level of the manor there was no other way for the girl to run, but straight ahead. Seemingly safe behind big doors she remained still behind them.
The very next moment the girl slid across the dust littered floor of the abandoned ballroom, colliding with the opposite wall.
The woman ran up to her, getting on her knees and pulling the girls blond locks out of the way, before leaning down to embed her te-
She was writhing in agony on the ground; pink light flooding from her neck. It felt like electrical shock after electrical shock was sent through her. His words are still active.
A while passed before she could comprehend or even realize her surroundings again.
Voices rushed to her ears, melodic in different tones, a single one occasional groans and growls. Tears blurred her vision, as she looked ahead at the irritated boys standing by the girl.
No one moved to pick up the girl or help her, but alone their gestures showed how vivid their conversation was.
A bespectacled man was the main speaker of the group, talking about mistakes and etiquette until he noticed the woman's eyes.
He glared at her as his tone shifted to something colder when addressing her.
As the last throbs of pain had finally subsided the only guy remaining in the room with them spoke up in a growl: "Get up! And get a move on."
It was the albino boy, stood at one of the entrance doors.
She couldn't believe she was expected to carry her victim, holding her breath as the sweet smell of the blond's blood filled her nostrils. Smaller pain, compared to before, coursed through her again, reminding her not to harm but to protect the girl, as she thought this.
She slowly shook her head through the new throbbing pain, indicating a clear "no" to him.
"What do you mean "no"? You're going to take her back." He groaned out of a sigh. His deep voice held more agitation than before, so she carefully got up and walked toward the girl, testing how close she was permitted this time around.
Her eyes were pinned to the pink jewel on her neck, watching horrified and with slow reaction time as it began to sparkle, about to deliver a new wave of pain.
The white haired boy seemed to notice that something was incredibly wrong, seeing as he walked past her and picked up the blond while the young woman stood frozen in place.
Going decades without it, it almost seemed like this was a whole new experience to her, when actually she had known all levels of the pain and slowly grown used to them.
Still watchful she kept the two meter range away from the petit girl, as the crimson eyed, pale skinned boy carried her through the hallways.
She had known both of them very well, but was unsure.
For one she knew of the caring nature of the boy walking in front of her, which is why his action wasn't too surprising, but Subaru had never been so quick to help her.
Charlotte, though it was mostly a blackout to her, would have liked to continue todays violent act from what she could recall had it been a different time.
But this was a new now.
The platinum blond haired girl on the other hand was quite surprising now. It stuck with Charlotte how Yui was able to evade and pass her so quickly.
Maybe things would be easier, what with Yui seeming to work through things quicker now.
Maybe now could actually work out.
