A/N: Hey, everyone. PerkyGoth14 here with a new solo story based on a property I'm rather fond of. Yes, Harvey Street Kids, I don't know how you guys feel about this series, but personally, I love it a lot, though I often see it as an official Rule 63 Ed, Edd, n Eddy as opposed to VampireMeerkat's An, Ann, n Anny series. I mostly love it because it introduces a new generation to Harvey Comics, which I would've loved to had seen as a kid since I had a brief moment of my childhood reawakened where I was given a Baby Huey video for Easter one year as a kid and even stickers of Casper the Friendly Ghost, Richie Rich, and my own personal favorite: Wendy the Good Little Witch. I figured that since Wendy wasn't really in the show (really a missed opportunity there, I don't get it) that she would be the new kid in town as opposed to a random OC which was my original plan after rewatching the series a little on Netflix because of a dream I had that birthed this story. I hope you all like it, let me know if you'd like to see more or if you're not interested. Just remember to please Read & Review!

Our story begins in what looked like a relatively small neighborhood, but a lot more to it than just that. There were kids leaving their houses for the day, though coming out into a blistering summer day which they would need proper nourishment in the form of ice cream. If they were lucky, the truck would make its rounds around their neighborhood so that they could satisfy themselves and save up on the allowance that their parents gave them in exchange for chores and good behavior. It was sort of like a paycheck that children earn from their parents despite their only actual work experience would be going to school during nine months of the year and having the final three months as summer vacation. However, we are not currently focusing this story on the kids in the neighborhood of Harvey Street just yet... No, we are focused on a cottage that was much further away from the neighborhood and inside were three adult women and a young girl who all resided inside the cottage, hidden from the kids in this neighborhood. Until today that is...

"You guys say I can do what?" The girl in the cottage asked with wide eyes, seeming to be friendly for the most part if not shy.

"I believe you heard us, Wendy poo," The blonde woman in the center with a dark-haired woman on her left and a redheaded woman on her right. "You have our permission to go outside and expore the neighborhood this year."

"Yes, yes..." The redheaded woman smirked. "Get to know the neighborhood better... Meet your new foolish mortals-" she then got elbowed by the blonde woman suddenly. "I mean... Meet some new... F-F-Friends." she then said, sounding like she was struggling to say that word.

"You guys never let me out of the house before," The girl said to her three guardians. "Why the change of heart?"

"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" The blonde woman hissed before smiling innocently. "I-I-I mean... Don't worry about that, okay? You're only young once!"

"Well... Thank you..." The blonde girl said. "But... I haven't met another kid like me in my entire life... What do I do?"

"Oh, just go outside and talk to some of these children," The dark-haired woman scoffed a bit. "How hard can it be?"

"Especially gullible children like those?" The blonde woman murmured with a smirk.

The three adult women then cackled together while the girl looked between them.

"Well... Okay..." The blonde girl said as she rubbed the back of her head. "I guess I could give it a try."

"Run along then, dear," The blonde woman smirked. "Just make sure you get back home before it gets dark."

"Yes, we look forward to hearing about your new friends." The redheaded woman added.

The blonde girl looked to them before she then straightened out her outfit before heading outside. The three women then went back into the darkness from the front door, letting her wander outside on her own. The blonde girl winced and put her hand over her eyes as the sunlight hurt her eyes a little and she soon stumbled out the front door. She wore a white shirt with red overalls, red sneakers, and a matching red hat. Her hair was also tied in pigtails. She then saw many kids coming outside to enjoy the summer day and she soon took a deep breath. "Well... Here goes nuthin'." she then told herself before she wandered out into the neighborhood for the very first time and little did show know, this would lead into a brand new adventure.

Wendy soon stumbled away from her cozy woodsy cottage that was her home sweet home and soon wandered right into the neighborhood known as Harvey Street. There were other kids gathered around, but they appeared to be suffering from the heat and there was indeed an ice cream truck there, but it had a flat tire and the raccoons of the woods seemed to be swarming it to claim the truck as their own while the kids suffered through sweating and raging heat from their favorite season: summer.

"Who will save the ice cream truck?" One girl complained.

"I'm melting!" A second girl added as she waved her face to try to keep cool.

"Help us, Harvey Girls! Save our frozen treats!" A third girl cried out, sounding desperate.

"I guess it is a little hot..." Wendy said to herself. "I wish I could help them, but I wouldn't know how to help."

However, help was indeed on the way and it came in the form of three other girls. Wendy looked over down the sidewalk as these girls were on their way to help save the day. They rode on a bike altogether and raced down a ramp, catapulting them up in the air as they all looked determined and excited about something.

"Whoa..." Wendy whispered in amazement as she looked up and watched them in action, wondering what they were going to do to help.

Two of the girls hopped off of the bike and landed on the road among the raccoon group while the main girl on the bike continued to ride it.

The main girl soon landed on the road and brought out one of her bike tires. "Ladies, it's go time," she then told the other two. "Lotta?"

"On it, Dot!" The heavy set girl answered before lifting up the ice cream truck in amazement.

"Wow..." Wendy whispered, finding that to be very amazement.

"Huh... Lot of gum under here." The girl said as she looked under the truck, picking a piece before deciding to chew it which was kind of gross.

"See, this is why I always carry at least three types of spare tires," The girl on the truck said as she replaced the flat tire before calling out to the side. "Audrey, perimeter secure?" she then asked.

The final girl smirked as she stomped in front of the raccoons. "If you mean 'Is raccoon butt about to be kicked?', well... What's your answer, boys?" she then replied before smirking and brought out a jump-rope.

The raccoons started to chitter before glaring at the brunette girl and came to fight her. Wendy put her hands to her mouth in concern, though she decided to keep watching. Audrey soon jump-roped as the raccoons lunged out at her, only to be swiped away by her rope and were sent scattering and flying. Once they were gone, the ice cream truck was able to drive again, much to the delight of the other four girls who cheered for Lotta, Audrey, and Dot. Many kids soon gathered around the ice cream truck and came to get something while the three girls proved to be victorious.

"Post-victory frozen treat? It's on me," Audrey offered to Lotta and Dot. She then suddenly sniffed the air like she could sense something with animal instinct deep within her. "I smell something very unfamiliar in the air." she then said.

"Really?" Lotta asked. "I wonder what it is?"

"Not what... Who..." Audrey told them before she came over to the bushes and pushed them back to see Wendy. "You!"

"Me?" Wendy blinked.

"You!" Audrey repeated.

"Who?" Lotta asked.

"Please stop." Dot muttered slightly.

"Who are you and why are you spying on us?" Audrey glared at Wendy.

"Oh... I'm sorry..." Wendy said softly as she felt nervous. "I-I was just exploring the neighborhood."

"Exploring the neighborhood?" Dot asked. "Are you new around here or something?"

"Yeah... Sorta..." Wendy said before shrugging.

"Sorta?" The three girls asked, a little confused.

"Well... I've lived here all my life, but my aunts have kept me inside and this is my first time in the outside world." Wendy explained bashfully.

"The outside world? Oh... Wait, I know what this means," Dot said as she thought about it. "You've been a home-schooled kid, haven't you?"

"Uh... I guess so..." Wendy said before shrugging.

"I completely understand," Dot said as she put her hand over Wendy's shoulder. "You've been surrounded by your home and your family all day everyday for a long time and this is your first time meeting other kids, right?"

"Uh... Yeah, actually," Wendy said with a small smile, glad that someone understood her. "It's a bit of a long story though."

"We should let her be our new friend." Dot told Audrey and Lotta.

"That sounds fine by me," Lotta smiled. "How about you, Audrey?"

"Well, I guess," Audrey shrugged as she crossed her arms before glaring at Wendy, pointing right at her with a warning look on her face. "But I got my eye on you. You got that, Pigtails?"

"Well... Okay," Wendy replied before she looked a little confused. "I would love some new friends though."

"Well, it's good to meet you then," Dot smiled. "My name is Dot Polka... Yes, I see the humor in my name." she then added as her name was a bit funny when you really thought about it enough.

"Dot Polka?" Wendy repeated until it then hit her before she giggled. "Oh... Like polka dots?"

"Precisely," Dot smiled and nodded. "Though, my name is actually Dorothy, I just go by Dot." she then explained.

"Oh. Okay." Wendy said.

"And I'm Lotta Plump," Lotta added before looking bashful. "Please don't make fun of my name."

"I won't." Wendy shook her head with a smile.

Audrey then spit to the side with a smirk. "And I'm Audrey Smith." she then added as her name sounded very normal compared to her friends.

"It's really nice to meet you all," Wendy said with a small smile. "My name's Wendy. I'm just glad to make some new friends."

"Understandable," Dot nodded. "Welcome to Harvey Street as you're an official Harvey Street Kid!" she then announced.

"Wow... I feel so honored and special now." Wendy smiled thankfully and feeling proud to have three new friends. This was a lot easier than she anticipated it to be.

"Yeah, we should hang out and-" Audrey said before she suddenly sniffed the air again. "Girls... I smell something else."

"Uh... What is she doing?" Wendy asked curiously.

"It's complicated, but it's best that you don't think about it too much." Dot advised as Lotta nodded in agreement.

"Um... Okay?" Wendy shrugged. "What do you smell, Audrey?" she then asked.

"I smell fresh injustice." Audrey narrowed her eyes.

Wendy looked a bit curious.

"Come with us, Pigtails," Audrey told Wendy. "You're gonna be our new rookie."

"I told you that my name is Wendy." Wendy reminded.

"I know, but until I can trust you, I'm calling you Pigtails, got it?" Audrey replied.

"Uh... Okay..." Wendy blinked.

Audrey then took off running, prompting Lotta and Dot to follow her.

"Hey! Wait for me!" Wendy piped up as she decided to run after the other three girls, wondering what this would lead up to.
