[New York: New York City]

Currently it was a cold, rainy day in the city of New York City. All throughout the five boroughs it was raining hard as Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and the Bronx were all covered by heavy rain fall.

But to the citizens of New York City this was not anything unusual as this was another day in New York as they were use to extreme colds or heavy rainfall so everyone was wearing a raincoat or was using an umbrella to keep themselves dry as they move through the city.

Meanwhile at a certain funeral home in Queens New York people were gathering for the funeral of two seemingly normal people who died tragically in a plane crash!

Many people at the funeral home arrived to give their respects to the loss of Richard and Mary Parker, two of the most honest and well-mannered citizens New York City ever produced.

Many people were crying or were simply silent as they couldn't believe what had happened as Richard and Mary Parker were quiet and good people that didn't deserve what happened to them.

What was worse as that their bodies were so badly damaged from the plane crash that they had to have closed caskets out of respect as no one wanted to remember Richard and Mary Parker like that.

Soon the funeral doors opened as Richard's older brother Ben Parker and his wife May Parker arrived at the funeral to pay their respects.

Ben and Richard had been estranged for years but had spoken every now and again. It wasn't that they hated each other or anything it's just that they were so busy with their lives they hardly had time to see one another.

"I really wish we spent more time together Richard."said Ben as he and May walked past the crowds of crying people trying their best to hold in their tears.

Ben wanted to cry so badly but he held his tears as he needed to be strong. After all Richard was a strong man and last thing Ben wanted was to cry and show disrespect to Richard.

"My goodness Ben I still can't believe they are gone."said May as she was especially close to Mary Parker as the two had been friends for a very long time.

"I know, I miss them too but there is nothing we can do. There is no turning back the clock as we cannot bring back the loved ones we have lost. The best we can do is live on for their sake."said Ben as he and his wife continued to make their way to the front.

As they were making their way to the front they noticed a young boy about eleven years old sitting by himself in the front row of the funeral home.

He was dressed in a black suit with an orange tie but the most noticeable aspect about him was his white hair and the scar near the left side of his forehead. His hair was completely white despite his age and it did not look dyed... in fact it look completely natural and was shaped in a turkey tail fashion.

"Henry who is that young boy."asked Ben to a close friend he and Richard had known for years who was also attending the funeral named Henry.

"Oh I see Richard and Mary never told you huh?"said Henry confusing Ben and May.

"What do you mean?"asked May who did not understand.

"That's Richard and Mary's son Lincoln."said Henry surprising Ben and May as Richard and Mary never told them that they had a son.

"I don't remember Richard telling me he had a son or Mary giving birth."said Ben who downplayed his shock out of respect for the people who were mourning.

"No Mary couldn't have kids so they adopted. It's quite sad as Lincoln doesn't remember who he was before he met them since the poor little guy suffers from amnesia."said Henry as Richard told him that Lincoln didn't remember who he was before he met them.

"Oh my goodness!"said May who felt bad for Lincoln.

"Yeah Richard and Mary found him one day looking through their garbage for something to eat. Kid looked like he had been homeless for quite a while and the fact he didn't remember where he was from certainly didn't help. All Lincoln could remember was his first name as his last name was a complete blank to him."said Henry as he looked at Lincoln with pity.

"Did my brother try to find his parents?"asked Ben as the Richard he knew would do just that.

"Oh they tried but they couldn't find anyone matching Lincoln's description in the New York missing persons database. As time went on they grew close with Lincoln and applied for adoption which as you can see eventually happened. Soon this kid with no name became Lincoln Parker son of Richard and Mary Parker."said Henry as he looked out Lincoln and let out a sigh.

"A shame... that kid had been living with them for a little more than a few months before this tragedy. If anyone is suffering it's definitely Lincoln as he lost the only family he ever knew."said Henry who really felt sorry for Lincoln.

Ben looked at the boy and saw that he was not crying but by the clear markings on his eyes he had cried every last tear he could muster out of his system before he ran out of tears.

It was clear to Ben and May that Lincoln really cared about Richard and Mary and most likely considered them his parents since he couldn't remember where he came from they were the closest he had to a family.

"What is going to happen to him?"asked May with worry.

"He is probably going to go back into the foster care system since no one can take care of him. I would do it myself but I already have five little ones I need to take care of."said Henry who really wanted to take care of Lincoln but he couldn't.

"Oh my gosh!"said May as she looked at Lincoln like he needed someone.

"I really don't want him to go into the foster care system since Ben you know as well as I know how bad the New York City foster care system is! He will be eaten alive by the system especially since Lincoln doesn't remember who he was before he met Richard and Mary. I really want to help but there's nothing I can do."said Henry as he knew all too well how messed up the foster care system was and how underfunded and how under managed it was.

"Well that's not going to happen!"said Ben as he looked at Lincoln.

"What do you mean Ben?"asked Henry who was confused.

"He is a Parker and May and I are going to take care of him! Richard and Mary took him in to give him a better life and there's no way I'm going to let them down."said Ben as he didn't care if they were related by blood or not he was Richard's son and nothing was going to change.

"I agree I cannot in good conscience send a young boy like that into the foster care system knowing he will be eaten alive."said May as Lincoln was her brother-in-law and sister-in-law's son even if they weren't related by blood.

"Then go talk to him because he sure needs it."said Henry as Ben and May Parker quickly and quietly walked over to the front row and sat down next to Lincoln.

Lincoln didn't bother looking at them as he kept his head down as he was too upset at the loss of his parents to acknowledge who was sitting next to him.

"Do you know who I am?"asked Ben causing Lincoln to look at him.

"Your dad's older brother Benjamin Parker. My dad showed me a photo of you before...he passed and told me all about you..."said Lincoln who felt like he wanted to cry but there were no more tears coming out of his pupils.

"Do you know who I am?"asked May as Lincoln looked up again.

"Your Uncle Ben's wife May. My mother told me all kinds of stories about you and how great of a cook you are."said Lincoln who smiled a little as he liked talking about his adoptive parents.

"That is right Lincoln we are your aunt and uncle Benjamin and May Parker. But you can just call me your Uncle Ben."said Ben as he extended his hand which Lincoln shook nervously.

"I heard my brother took you in when he found you going through his garbage."said Ben hoping to break the ice.

"Yeah... I honestly don't know how I got to New York as I honestly washed up in the Hudson and just went through place to place through the five boroughs looking for food and getting chased off by business owners and people who didn't even want to look at me. Even my fellow homeless people did not treat me kindly as they always tried to steal from me or... hurt me as they saw me as competition."said Lincoln as he held his arm nervously as life on the streets was not easy especially for a kid.

"It must have been tough."said Ben who knew all too well how cruel his fellow New Yorkers could be to the homeless...

After all he volunteered at a soup kitchen every Thanksgiving and he heard plenty of stories of the homeless getting bullied by their fellow New Yorkers and the police as well as the criminals that plague the city.

"I noticed that you have that scar on your head."said May as Lincoln held his scar.

"I don't know how I got it as I had it when I washed up in the Hudson. I honestly don't remember anything before I ended up in the Hudson."said Lincoln as he was grateful that he was still alive despite having been in a big, powerful river.

"Your very lucky to be alive young man."said Ben as it was clear to him Lincoln's desire to stay alive was fierce.

"Yeah mom and dad said I had a powerful will that kept me alive for some reason despite all the hardship I endured. Even no I didn't know them that long those few months I knew them were the happiest months of my life... whatever I could remember of my life."said Lincoln as tears start to form on his face.

"I miss them very much! They took me in when I had nowhere else to go and treated me like I was their own despite not sharing their blood! But now they're gone and I don't know what I'm going to do as I don't want to go back to the streets but I don't want to go to foster care as even I know from my fellow homeless kids how bad it is!"said Lincoln who felt like he was a wounded animal trapped in a corner.

"Well that's not going to happen!"said Ben surprising Lincoln as he looked at him.

"What do you mean?"asked Lincoln as he was confused.

"We will take you in Lincoln! We will ask the court to give us custody of you as you are Richard and Mary's son and since we are the next of kin it's natural that we take you in."said May as Lincoln couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"But don't you have lives to live? Children of your own to take care of?"asked Lincoln who felt like he was being rude.

"I'm sorry."he said.

"There is no need to apologize Lincoln as it's understandable that you're skeptical as you barely met us today during one of the worst days of your life. But rest assured we will take care of you as even though you are not related by blood you are my brother's son and nothing is going to change that. Besides he would probably turn in his grave if I didn't take care of the boy he worked so hard to adopt."said Ben with a smile as tears of joy fell down Lincoln's face.

"Thank you!"said Lincoln as he gave Ben and may a big hug and they hugged him back.

Meanwhile the rest of the people at the funeral home smiled as they watch the beautiful scene before them as Richard and Mary's beloved son Lincoln was now going to another good home with Richard's brother Ben and his wife May.

They all new that this was what Richard and Mary would have wanted if something happened to them and they couldn't take care of Lincoln anymore.

It was good to see that despite their tragedy there was hope for a better tomorrow!

...

A short time later a judge granted Ben and May's petition to take in Lincoln after it was established that their home would be a good home for him.

Lincoln was soon enrolled into a school in Queens where they lived and Lincoln got to know his aunt and uncle who had now become his legal guardians better.

"Ah a spider!"said Lincoln as a spider crawled on his head and quickly swatted it off.

"It's okay Lincoln he's more afraid of you than you are afraid of him."said May and she picked up the spider and let it out of the window.

"I know and spiders are cool and all but it's a different story when they got on you "said Lincoln as he looked at the spider as it slowly crawled down the wall towards its spider web.

"Spiders certainly have amazing abilities don't they."said Lincoln as he looked at the spider with Ben and May.

"Yes they certainly do Lincoln."said Ben as he patted Lincoln on the head.

"Come back in you two the pizzas here."said May as she was currently giving the police a delivery man the money for the pizza.

"Oh pizza!"said Lincoln as he and Ben left the window to get some pizza.

The spider meanwhile caught a fly on its web and started spinning a web around as it planned to eat the fly later.

Hey guys PrimusPilus here with some news.

Yeah I decided to do a Spider-Man story involving Lincoln as none other than Spider-Man.

This story will have some elements of the Spider-Man PS4 game as well as elements from other video games and the comic books.

Lincoln is the oldest Loud child in this story.

I just wanted to make that clear to everyone who didn't pick up on this.

Anyway next chapter will take place a few years later not long after Ben passed away...

It was one of the saddest scenes in comic book history and it still is to this day...

But as Peter Parker had to learn the hard way with great power comes great responsibility and in this fanfiction Lincoln had to learn the hard way that lesson as well.

With great power comes great responsibility..

Anyway I hope you enjoy this story as I plan to try to make it into a masterpiece.

I hope you enjoy this story and if you have any suggestions for the story don't be afraid to leave a comment or send me a PM.

And criticize the story anyway you like as any criticism whether it's good or bad helps me become a better writer as I evolve with criticism.

Anyway...

Until next chapter enjoy this one as this is PrimusPilus signing off and hoping to see all of you next time as the journey continues.

Have a great day and I will see you all next time!
