The ground rumbled as a fireball flew past. Screams echoed through the woods.

Kakashi scowled.

Obito.

Gripping his kunai, Kakashi hoped he could salvage the mission before Obito fried the opposing shinobi, the scroll they were supposed to retrieve, and half the forest.

There was another explosion.

Fucking Obito.

He heard Rin somewhere off to his left, but he ignored her, eyes trained on the battle in front of him. Four Rock-nin battled Sensei, who blocked their attacks with ease.

They would never see Kakashi coming.

He swiftly moved from tree to tree, sneaking behind the enemy with the fluidness that none of his teammates had. They were far behind, not able to keep up. Sensei would be able to keep three of them at bay while Kakashi focused on one. Kakashi eyed the one who was hanging back, the scroll slapping against his hip. Sensei could have easily taken him out, but was waiting for Kakashi to make his move, he was certain.

Kakashi slipped from the trees, his fingers brushing the scroll. Suddenly there was a loud bang behind him. A rush of chakra filled the air. His fingers grasped the scroll as his small frame collided with the larger man. Kakashi braced himself, body covering the scroll as he and the leader went through a tree.

Kakashi's ears were ringing as he rolled off the Rock-Nin. He looked up to see a small crater covered in slabs of crumpled rock had appeared on the forest floor. Thick trees were toppled like twigs away from a large pile of rubble. Crackling branches and blips of lighting filled the air. Kakashi got a whiff of burnt hair, skin and wood.

O...bito…?

"What the hell was that?!" Obito shouted from the other edge of the clearing. He held an arm out, blocking a running Rin from entering the area. Obito pointed at Kakashi accusingly. "Did you do this?"

Kakashi rolled his eyes, ignoring him. He looked down to the crumpled scroll in his hands and carefully put it in his side pocket. Kakashi felt the wind rip from his lungs as a flash of yellow blinded him. There was another thunderous boom and Kakashi felt himself airbourne.

As Kakashi went sailing past his teammates as his brain realized Sensei had thrown him. He watched as Obito and Rin grabbed each other as the rubble exploded.

Kakashi shifted in the air and landed feet first on the trunk of a tree. Kakashi watched as someone shot out from the rubble towards him. Kakashi launched himself forward, but another flash and another boom had Sensei on him again, pulling him down towards their team as a man sailed above him. He had dark hair and dark clothes that were covered in dirt and blood. Kakashi caught a glimpse of a strange purple eye, but he quickly slammed his eyes shut. If there was anything he learned from having an Uchiha on his team (as much of an idiot as he was) was when strange eyes looked at you, don't look back.

Kakashi was thrown on top of Obito, knocking them both to the ground as kunai went flying. Minato deflected two while the man was struck with two; one in the shoulder and one in the neck. The man fell to the ground in a heap, but quickly rose to his feet and disappeared into the trees.

Silence filled the area.

"Friend of yours?" The Rock Nin leader appeared next to Minato-sensei. Sensei was eyeing the tree line as the rock nin eyed him.

In the blink of an eye, the Rock Nin was flying through the clearing, a Rasengan in their gut. Kakashi's smirk fell into a scowl as he shoved Obito off. The other Rock Nin, who were still on the opposite end of the clearing, took a few steps back before quickly retreating into the surrounding woods.

Obito let out a pathetic battle cry, shoving Kakashi roughly and running . Minato-sensei grabbed him roughly. "Let them go. Kakashi-kun already collected the scroll." Sensei's eyes never left the trees.

Obito huffed, "Of course Kakashi got the damn scroll."

Kakashi shoved Obito. Before the idiot could shove him back he ducked to the otherside of Sensei, his hands going behind his head.

"Who was that guy?" Obito put his hands on his hips and squinted to where Sensei had been looking. Kakashi rolled his eyes and looked at the rubble. That's where Sensei was looking now.

A rustling came from the epicenter. Obito jumped back with a squawk as Minato-sensei lit up, his eyes turning into slits. Kakashi stayed perfectly still.

Sage Mode.

The ground erupted. A bright flash of yellow exploded in Kakashi's peripherals. He instinctively held out his arms so his teammates wouldn't run past and get in Sensei's way.

A figure came exploding out of the debris. The figure was small, wearing black and red. Their hair was a reddish black and brown with dirt and twigs flying as Minato-Sensei appeared in another flash of yellow next to them. Sensei spun into a kick but he missed (Sensei never missed). The figure ducked, grabbing hold of Sensei and hurling him through the air (No one was quick enough to touch Sensei!)as if he was...as if he was Kakashi!

Sensei righted himself in the air and threw his kunai. With two more bright flashes Kakashi watched as his Sensei's kunai went sailing, slicing the figure's arm. The figure grabbed the kunai mid air, blood and a chunk of their arm coming with them as they threw it back at Sensei. They charged with a yell. Kakashi watched as the gash seeped blood, mixing with blood coming out of another deep gash on their arm.

Rin gasped.

Kakashi watched as Minato-Sensei charged the figure, a rasengan forming in his right hand.

That's when the three students gasped - the figure side stepped and caught the wrist of the rasengan user.

Everyone froze.

It was then that Kakashi saw that the figure was a woman. A small woman with wide green, glossy eyes.

She was still holding Sensei's wrist when her other hand went up towards his face.

"Na-Naru…" she sobbed. The rasengan disappeared as Minato-sensei grabbed her wrist before it could touch him. Kakashi grabbed his tanto white-knuckled as the woman pulled his hands to her chest. "You made it-" Her eyes widened as Kakashi slowly started to unsheath his tanto.

She reached up and grabbed his face, her fingers brushing his cheeks, "Naru-?" And like a marinette that had their strings cut, she crumpled. Minato-sensei caught her before she could hit the ground. He released sage mode.

There was silence again. Sensei looked around the crater before looking back at her lifeless form. Slowly he pulled her into his arms, hoisting her over his shoulders. He looked over to his team, "Let's get back to the village."

"You...know her, Sensei?" Obito's voice was quite behind Kakashi.

Their teacher's brows were furrowed. He paused and looked at the middle of the clearing. Kakashi followed his gaze. It looked like an asteroid had crashed.

"Sensei?" Kakashi hated how small his voice was.

His teacher looked at the team and smiled, "We need to get her back to the village."

He walked past the team. The three watched him pass with purpose, the girl slung over his shoulder. "But Sensei-"

He turned back to the team. "It was prophesied to me that a feisty young woman would fall from the sky, into my life." He looked over to the woman. "I always assumed Sage-sama meant Kushina." He gave a half shrug. "Though I didn't think he was being literal." Minato-sensei smiled. "She is quite feisty."

"I'd say…" Obito muttered. Minato-sensei gave one more look at his students before shifting the weight on his shoulders and motioning them to follow.

Kakashi wasn't so sure about all this.

AN:

Welcome to the remake/revision/finisher of the Misadventures of Kakashi and the Girl from No Where! If you're new to this story, just skip on past and enjoy!

If you have ever read Misadventures before, or seen it pop up, you'll notice some drastic changes, starting with the first chapter, and the end.

First, this story is complete, clocking in at 88 chapters. What I have written is what is written for better or worse (I say that as I added things here or there last night). I will spend the next few months uploading it for the KakaSaku fans of the world to enjoy.

I always wanted to finish this story. I started writing this, I believe posting my big speech about how no one ever finishes time travel pieces and so I'm here to do this (that was...ahem...over 10 years ago and I took at least a two year and five year hiatus from this story). But it has always been in the back of my mind!

If you've read the first rendition you'll notice something very quickly, it's not the same. People change with time and when I completed this story I had to change the beginning. And the middle. And even the end, actually. Time gets shifted, people aren't the same, and those that had small roles now have bigger ones. I feel that my decisions make it a more cohesive story.

I don't plan on making AN's longer than the chapters again! Maybe a few notes here or there. I plan on posting those to my Tumblr.

TLDR; Please enjoy
