Chapter 1:
0630h00, Jack wakes up with a smile. For next to him, his wife of four years was snuggled up next to him. He smiled at himself. He kissed her forehead and rolled out. He walked up to the massive doors, opening it he walked into the hallway, the Jaffa guard knelt. "Good morning sire.". Jack bowed his head. "Good morning my friend.". He then walked up to the door across his door. He opened in to find his son asleep. He then looked across to see the other bed, his daughter asleep as well.
He then walked up the stairs. He was still in his regular clothing. He walked up to a balcony. There, Daniel and Teal'c stood, watching the sunrise. It had become a tradition every morning. Watching the sunrise.
All three had to adjust their regular clothing. Daniel, went for a sleeveless tunic, some strange snake-ish skin trousers and leather boots. Teal'c had his normal sleeveless tunic as well, but his trousers were more of a buckskin like make. His boots were covered in steel. Jack had on long-sleeved tunic and long-sleeved trousers and regular boots.
"Well, this sure is a nice morning." Jack said. Teal'c respond in kind. "Indeed.". Daniel then said: "Doesn't beat Earth's sunrise though.". Jack smiles. "You betcha.". To be honest, he missed Earth, living on The Capital is nice and all, but he missed home. He is grateful he gave the kegs to his cabin to good old George. He heard from some allies the guy retired. Leaving his old friend Landry in charge.
Jack then looks at his watch. He had Carter modify it to work on this planet's time. "Well, breakfast anybody?" he asked. Daniel spun around. "Oh yeah, I am starving.". The three friends walked down the stairs, Jack was about to open his kids' room door when it opened and Sam walked out with them. Little Grace was still asleep in her mother's arms. While Andrew was wide awake. Jack scooped his son up and placed him on his shoulders. "Breakfast anybody?".
At the Mess Hall, the O'Neill family were enjoying their breakfast, that's until Ro'tak and Sa'har walked in. Sa'har was now officially Ro'tak's apprentice. He was now fourteen and being trained to be a warrior. Little Andrew called out to them. "Uncle Sa'har!". Sa'har chuckled as he walked over and engaged in a conversation with him.
As Little Grace finished her breakfast, she held her arms out. Jack smiled. "Does someone want an upsy?" he picked his daughter up and carried her out of the hall. Sam was waiting until Andrew was done talking with Sa'har. Of course she trusted the kids with Sa'har, but Sa'har self admitted he knew nothing about kids. So, she watched as the two laughed together.
Jack was in his kids' playroom, where he watched his daughter playing with her dolls. Sa'har's mother did a fine job making them. He was relaxed. Until the doors open and a young guard came in. "My lord! The Stargate has been activated. The one called Hayes wishes your presence.". Jack got up and kissed his daughter's forehead. He then turned to the guard. "Assemble the council, get me Daniel Jackson and Teal'c.". The guard saluted and ran to act out his leader's orders.
Jack arrived in the gate room to see Hayes been escorted out of the gate room. Jack jogged down. "Mr. President, welcome to my capital.". Hayes then hugged Jack. "Your Excellency, thank you for this audience.". Jack waved it off. "No need to call me by title.".
The two men walked in to the council meeting room. The councillors stood up. Jack introduced them. "Mr. President, meet my council. Doctor Jackson and Teal'c you know." He then gestured to the others. "Ro'tak, my first prime. Sa'har, soon to be first prime. Councillor Kas'le from the northern mountains. Councillor Ma'relle from the eatern seaboard. And Councillor Far'tah from the western plains.".
Hayes shook each one of their hands. Taking a seat, he began. "I hate to tell you this, but the Replicators have been spotted heading to the Pegasus by our Midway station. With a rough calculation, they will arrive at Atlantis within a week.".
The council broke into whisper. Jack groaned. "Who is their leader?" he asked. Hays shrugs. "We don't know. Why they headed out there, is unknown. I was hoping you could help me out Jack, you fought Fifth after all.". "And kicked his shiny ass as well." Teal'c said out of character for himself. Which surprised him pretty well.
Jack tapped his fingers. "I'll need to think about this.". Daniel jumped in. "Jack, the council will be able to handle the empire, Atlantis needs you. You faced the Replicators up-close, therefor, you are the most likely choice.". Jack then said: "I'll give you an answer by tomorrow.".
