Episode 1 - The Side You Never Knew
OP Song:
Emblem of THE UNLIMITED - LΛST RESOLUTION [Single] Full OP w/Lyrics
"Don't you know Minamoto, I..."
"Don't do it, Kaoru!"
"...loved you back then. I love you."
Images of the future. A nightmare that was built upon inner conflict. One that he, Koichi Minamoto, had seen again and again, invading his dreams and twisting it into a nightmare.
The nightmare was something relating to a possible version of himself from a possible future timeline that was built on a set of events that made him aim a weapon that was designed to kill espers, no matter what level of power. And this weapon was now being aimed at one particular woman to whom he loved the most in the world. A shot was fired. An energy beam came out from the blaster. The woman was shot from the heart. The woman was falling to the ground. Time seemingly stopping which was likened to an eternity. The woman lands on the ground. And that woman was dead.
He saw the dead body of the woman from the floor. He saw nothing but mad grief in his future version. He saw the devastation throughout the entire city of Tokyo. One that was crumbling down from the fires of war and death.
However...
This future was something that he had already known a long time ago and had long since been trained and prepared for, back in the days when he was but eleven years old, having discovered it through an experience that had accidentally him sent to that future, seeing the nightmare at its most raw form by living through it.
Destruction of city streets. Civilians were fleeing from all directions. Buildings and other structures were burning with orange flames and a puff of black and grey smoke. He saw it with his own two eyes. All of his five senses were in tune with this experience of a lifetime's worth of memories that were plagued with the shadow of sorrow and resolve. But just because he lived through this future doesn't mean he knew about it intimately.
As time would pass by, he would begin to see a few glitches from his own dreams. These glitches would relate to four particular women that would prove to have a vital role for the future of his world.
Kaoru Akashi - The Queen of Catastrophe. Aoi Nogami - The Lightspeed Goddess. Shiho Sannomiya - The Untouchable Empress. Yuuri Kumoi - The Phantom Daughter.
These glitches were likened to mere hints, with the feelings surrounding such being a connection point that would touch the heart of the Koichi Minamoto back when he was quite young. And these feelings seemingly surpass space and time to the point of poetic endearment.
In a time when he was quite young...
"...!"
But all things, even dreams would come to an end as he would suddenly wake up to the present moment in time, with thunder and lightning seemingly rumbling from the background, denoting a time of strong weather.
Another nightmare. Another nightmare that came from a future past.
He was breathing in and out, sighing heavily, rubbing his eyes in order to get his bearings together, grabbing the glasses somewhere near the table that has a picture of the man and three young girls, putting it on as he begins to sit to the edge, sporting a grim expression on his face.
How long had been since he had these nightmares? How long had he been suffering them in silence? How long had he been trying to hide them?
It felt like forever.
It was the early 21st century, in the year 2014. In a world where espers continue to increase day by day with no sign of stopping. In a world where discrimination between those with esper powers and those with none are still problems that are to be tackled with from all spheres of life that ranged from daily life to everyday politics. A world that isn't all sunshine and rainbows. A world that has a future that is possible but dark. One that is still being fought to the present day. A goal that had Koichi Minamoto trained for a lifetimes worth of over fourteen years and counting, gaining numerous life lessons and experiences, starting when he was ten years old up to his current age which was twenty four years old.
He looks towards his alarm clock that was on the nearby table.
3:01 a.m.
Too early, he thought. A very bad omen for an hour like this to be awaken from.
Nevertheless, he stood up from his bed, wiping his brow from the sweat that was present and dripping, and would eventually take a peek towards the window, slightly moving the curtains, revealing the gentle pattering of rain over the entire city of Tokyo, with grey clouds covering the skies. The sounds of car horns blared in the air, mixed with the distant rattling of thunder and wind as it moved through the city; it was a cloudy day. Flying above the city were a few helicopters flying in a southwestern direction, the letters 'B.A.B.E.L' painted on its sides.
He narrowed his eyes as he takes in the gentle sound of the rain and the rumbling effect of thunder that was being heard for miles. That time of the month, huh, he thought as he saw the helicopters of the organization that he works for. He begins to turn away from the window, taking a good look of himself at the mirror that was nearby. He figured that a change in wardrobe was in order. He would begin to take a towel and made a quick shower at the bathroom that was nearby his bedroom.
The leak of sprinkling waters was falling down from his face as he begins to reminiscence the times of seasons past. Then there were moments of recalling of the darker parts that were seemingly washed away by the water that had grace his entire naked body. After said showering, he turns off the shower faucet, having finished cooling himself down, wiping himself with the towel that he brought in order to dry himself, and silently went back to his room in order to change.
It was 3:34 a.m.
A few thirty minutes or less.
He took a look at the closet, secretly a bigger-on-the-inside one, activating a hidden button revealing the other part of the closet, selecting the best suit that was appropriate for this occasion. A black business suit composed of a jacket, pants, underwear, ties, socks, and leather shoes, accompanied with a white dress shirt. It was either this or the dark green business suit while on the job in his world. But he secretly liked the black business suit, feeling "the last suit you'll ever wear vibe" from the attire itself, being a grounding firm reminder of his own roots that denote his training, lessons, and experiences.
So far so good, he thought as he begins to fix his tie, immediately placing a wristwatch to his left wrist, and head outside the bedroom, silently tip-toeing towards another bedroom, standing a few meters from the door of said bedroom, turning on the hidden Detective Mode function of his glasses to find the three young girls of charge - The Children: Kaoru Akashi, Aoi Nogami, and Shiho Sannomiya, sleeping very soundly for the night before the moment of dawn. After checking on them, he begins to check at the bird house where Feather, a visitor from the future who has currently taken the form of a red bird, likened to a northern cardinal but different in size and appearance, was also resting, seemingly sleeping soundly as much as everyone else.
He smiled, both happily and sadly, with specific memories from both past and future coming forth from his mind that is locked out from any psychic intrusion, not allowing anyone to know what must not be made known with subtle efficiency and effectiveness.
It had been about five years since he had taken charge of the Children. And in all that time, he would always immediately notice the growing complex romantic feelings that were present in the hearts of these young girls. He wasn't dense by any means. He knew just how much the girls had loved him, and knew much on how those feelings would grow even more in the future to come, and Feather was living proof of that. Formalities and laws aside from other complex issues that deal with such a thing with regards to the present moment.
He would begin to switch off his Detective Mode function and head towards the kitchen in order to prepare a meal for said sleepers.
A simple amount of recipes that he would make that involved miso soup (with tofu, wakame and rice), oyakodon, and curry & rice, placing them properly at the dinner table at first notice, along with the appropriate utensils that were to be used for when the three young girls would wake up from their slumber.
Then came a simple note that were to be placed on the dinner table, with his handwritten words being seen from the surface and with a signature of his name to come with it from the bottom right, with the proper explanations that are to be made in a time of his current absence as he heads towards someplace alone, instantly transporting him towards that someplace with none to the wiser.
For he is needed somewhere else right now. For unbeknownst to everyone, even to the Children, there was a job that he had been doing since he was but ten years old. And this past would slowly but surely eventually reveal a side that no one ever knew about him.
"...!"
Kyousuke Hyoubu was in a very sour mood. He was seeing something from the machine that contains the brain of one of the most powerful Level 7 espers to use precognition.
He saw something he never shouldn't have. A future that should never have come to be. For he saw something besides the usual prediction that came with such a vision that was made known to him during his more younger naïve days.
This wasn't how things were suppose to happen. This wasn't how things were suppose to end up.
For he saw a future that was nothing but doom and gloom that spells death from literally everyone.
He saw his Queen, with tears and anger in her eyes, being strangled and shocked to death by a metal machine-like being, gold chrome in color, with gold antennas from both sides of the faceplate that has red jack-o-lantern photoreceptor eyes and a blue grin-like mouth, was now presently lifting her a few meters in height by its own right hand. The buildings throughout the surrounding area were seen to be on fire and in shambles.
The dead body of Koichi Minamoto was seen from the background, apparently being shot through the vital points of the brain and heart at pinpoint accuracy, whose cause of death was due to the same machine that was now holding his Queen at a choking position. The gun that he was carrying a while ago was also lost somewhere in the rubble of cement. The expression on the face of the dead body was eerie, almost pointing to the fact that he never saw it coming. No one ever truly saw it coming.
And this same machine, the one that killed Minamoto and was now holding Kaoru at a choking point, was seemingly enjoying every second of it, absorbing and decoding her power and ability, making and incorporating it unto his very own, much to Hyoubu's anger, hatred, and rage.
"This world is mine, esper. Resistance is futile. Your world, its powers, and its technology will submit to me. All life will perish under the purifying fire that will cleanse this world. For such is the price to pay for true everlasting peace. Remove the puppets and pull the strings, and only then can one be free."
"You..." the Future Kaoru muttered with all her strength, still stuck from the strangulation that she was being subjected to, sporting an expression of anger.
"Oh, is that anger I see? Is that hate is see? Is that rage I see? Good."
For some reason, this metal machine-like being was nodding in approval, and was no doubt doing an inward raised eyebrow.
"For it is that very reason why I have won, but don't worry, you will see your beloved soon enough...in the afterlife. HA-HA-HA-HA!"
The metal machine-like being was laughing in an almost satanic fit, all as he slowly kills her, with the sounds of her screams growing louder to the point of being music to the ears of this metal machine-like being that was enjoying every single nanosecond of this moment and savoring it.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
And just like that, she was killed as she screams in agony from the electroshock as all of her powers and abilities are being incorporated. Eventually, the machine that killed her was now testing the powers and abilities out on any nearby buildings and surroundings throughout the vicinity of Tokyo, bringing them all down, killing so many, whether normals or espers.
"...!"
But it didn't stop there. No. He just had to see the unfortunate darkness that awaits everybody in the world of tomorrow. Both normals and espers were systematically being hunted down and exterminated by this metal machine-like being, seeing its machine-like troops of various shapes and sizes firing red beams of energy that prove to be quite fatal when hit. Plants and animals were also being eradicated. Entire militaries and armies were suddenly wiped out like a bunch of ants and flies that were being swatted and stomped to the ground. Entire oceans were being dried up and being used as weapons by the metal monstrosities to create artificial tsunamis that lead to the sinking of multiple countries and continents.
So much death. So much destruction. No country was spared from the onslaught as he saw millions upon millions of the metal abominations performing an act of systematic genocide that purged the entire planet.
He couldn't bare to watch this anymore and simply let go of his hand from the machine, contemplating on what he had just seen from the prediction.
The "future" had completely changed. But not for the better. It became far worst. And there was a new player that was seemingly behind the destruction that was left in the wake of everything. No one is spared from this new player. Not. A. Single. One.
Why? Why now of all times? Why does the prediction overturn now of all times?
It was taking all Hyoubu could to not punch something, trying to reign in on his emotions and perform calculative thinking that could evaluate the current situation that he had now just seen with his own two eyes.
He was now heading out of the door and transporting himself to one other part of the cruise liner ship were three of his subordinates have gathered, all who belonged to the organization P.A.N.D.R.A.
Shirō Magi, Momiji Kanō, and Yō Fujiura.
Magi is a middle-aged man in his late twenties, wears a black business suit and has long wild messy black hair, which he utilizes in combat, and a stubbly beard as a result of his carbon training, and if he does not continue his training routine he appears to have much shorter hair and be cleanly shaven. He is one of the more diligent and serious members of P.A.N.D.R.A. and as a result he serves as the organizations number two.
Kano is a tall, beautiful and slim young woman with long light-blue hair that is swept to the right and brown eyes, always wears sunglasses and fashionable clothes, usually fresh and somehow baggy. A smart and serious woman who is very cultured and open-minded where she is like elder sister figure to most of the young personal of P.A.N.D.R.A. A reliable secret agent, an expert in hacking and infiltration.
Fujiura is a young man with orange hair and green eyes who is a lazy, childish, an informal joker and rarely serious; for this reason he has not earned the respect of the youngest of P.A.N.D.R.A., despite being one of the oldest members. He is a capable fighter; during the missions he is prone to tease and make fun of the enemies, although he also loses his composure easily, and in more than one occasion has expressed that he would not mind disobeying orders, even though he respects Hyoubu, especially with regards to the topic about the Children.
"Major," Fujiwara raised an eyebrow of concern, with arms crossed, leaning towards a wall, noticing the expression that was on Hyoubu's face. "What's wrong?"
Hyoubu looks towards each of his subordinates, breathing in and out while closing his eyes, before eventually opening them, with a glare denoting a resolve of hate and despair that was a mixture all together.
"You three are to come with me immediately."
"..."
Kaoru Akashi, Aoi Nogami, and Shiho Sannomiya, having awoken from their slumber a few hours later, now came across the note that Koichi Minamoto, the man to whom they had certain complex romantic feelings for, with Kaoru carrying a feeling that was more and more leaning towards the blooming romantic side of things which connects her more and more to a future that may or may not come.
They were carrying grave concerned expressions on their faces as they read the note for the past several times already.
Girls, I'll be out for a little while. Here's the breakfast that I made for the time being. Don't worry, I won't be gone for long. - Minamoto
"Minamoto...," Kaoru muttered in worry, looking at the note again.
They've already eaten their breakfast just as requested from the note. They were all dressed up as properly as they can for their age. Today was the weekends so there was no school at this time. So why does this feel quite empty for them?
This had been happening quite frequently from time to time. Whenever there hasn't been official work from B.A.B.E.L. or the times when they simply spend together, there were the times in-between that they would slowly but surely begin to notice when Minamoto would suddenly disappear for sometime, sneaking past them in ways that they never thought possible.
They've always managed to catch Minamoto by surprise one way or another. The times when they had to tail Minamoto for one silly reason or another which they could all remember quite fondly since the time when they were ten years old. But this time felt quite different for some strange reason. And this strange reason was making them all feel very uneasy. For they would notice the subtle expressions that Minamoto would tend to carry whenever he comes back with a smile on his face. Expressions of sadness. Expressions of grimace. Expressions of displeasure. Expressions of concern. Expressions of anger. Many negative feelings that had them concerned and whenever they tried to ask Minamoto about it, he would tend to say "I'm fine, don't worry," with a smile on his face. But they never really believed that. Even Shiho, who tried to find out the reason via her psychometry, could not get a good reading from Minamoto when it comes to it, drawing a blank from it, only feeling something that was hidden and inaccessible for her. And in the reference to the present, she tried to find out where Minamoto is currently at through the use of the note, only to draw a blank, almost as if the location didn't exist, much to her concern.
"Hmm..."
Somewhere behind them was a red bird that was flying ahead of them, landing nearby towards the floor, turning into a barefoot girl of about twenty years of age with long red hair and red eyes, wearing a white tank top, a red open coat, a bead necklace, and blue mini-skirt, as it (or she in this case) read the note with grave concern. This was Feather, an unknown woman with a connection to a future that may or may not come to pass, whose face and appearance resembles an adult Kaoru Akashi.
She too was just as concerned as the rest of the girls that were standing alongside her. And she too could not help but worry immensely, for she too was noticing the subtle pattern that Minamoto would tend to employ, seemingly disappearing for some time in-between. In some cases, it may be a way of relief from his official work at B.A.B.E.L. for the time being. In others, it was for other reasons such as paying a visit to a family or friend. But there was the fact that she too was blind to the fact that not even she could find Minamoto no matter how much she tried to look, being always lost to her for one reason or another which started only last year.
"Kaoru," whispered a Future Aoi Nogami who was one of the four active wills inside Feather alongside a Future Shiho Sannomiya and a Future Yuuri Kumoi, all of whom were concerned at the fact that Minamoto was acting not as they thought he was for the past few months to a year of their stay in the past.
"I know, Aoi," the Future Kaoru inwardly spoke, as she too was worried of the subtle state that Minamoto was in.
Something was completely different. Memories don't seem to quite align with what Feather knew. There was the fact events that they knew were seemingly being subtly changed. The very first time that Feather met Minamoto during that rainy day sometime in the later months of July, back when she, when she was taking the opportunity to change the flow of events by taking over Yuuri Kumoi when the personalities "Mirage" and "Phantom" wouldn't notice, asked him to personally investigate the rare metal earrings that were in her current possession that was to be used for testing the abilities of the Children and would eventually be used by the Future Kaoru Akashi in the future. The response that she got was not quite what she expected. The way that he called her out in the staircase, almost as if he knew that she was just there, with an understanding tone. There were a few things that she had expected such as him asking her if it were possible for her to come to B.A.B.E.L. due to genuine concern about Black Phantom, to which at that time, suspicions regarding the manipulation of Phantom Daughter were hypothesize, there was another side that she found to be quite concerning as she only saw a glimpse, but was more than enough to note a distinguishing factor.
A very sad smile.
And just as they were all contemplating this, Kyousuke Hyoubu, along with his three subordinates, would suddenly arrive via teleport.
"Its been a while, everyone," Hyoubu sported a grave expression.
"Eh?! Kyousuke?! Everyone?! What are you all doing here?!," Kaoru exclaimed in surprise and shock.
"Before I explain myself, I wanted to ask where Minamoto is, since his presence is vital to the discussion that concerns the fate of the "future" itself?," Hyoubu asked grimly.
Kaoru, Aoi, Shiho, and Feather all looked to each other with concern, before turning back towards Hyoubu.
"About that..."
Feather spoke as she would begin her explanation of Minamoto's latest disappearance, with the accompanying note being shown, much to Hyoubu's grimaced displeasure, thinking as to where would Minamoto be at this hour.
Somewhere very far away, in an unknown universe, there was the presence of a utopian citadel and an impenetrable fortress made of the most powerful metals in existence such as vibranium, adamantium, uru, and many others, all located in the artificially constructed replica, almost perfect in design were it not for that air of mysticism that it seem to lack, of the Realm Eternal - Asgard, a flat, asteroid-like mass that has a top surface with a gravitational pull, once straight out of myth and legend, only turned into a technological utopia that kept the surroundings with a few additions. Each of the Nine Realms, universes of their own, made in the image of the machine.
This was but one part of the Ultronic Territories. Artificial territories that were built out of many universal clusters, heavily fortified with impenetrable barriers that could not just be entered or penetrated by enemy attack.
Here lies in the grand organ shape fortress of the one great All-Father Ultron - God of the Machines - Wielder of the Six Infinity Stones of Many Universes, seated upon his golden majestic throne forged from the fires of the realm of Nidavellir, with the powerful modified double-headed spear - Gungnir located to his left side in a standing position and the Infinity Gauntlet containing the Six Infinity Stones, six immensely powerful gem-like objects, many counterparts of said stones that were merged from different universes that he have either conquered or destroyed, now worn across the right hand. His appearance was quite tall, measuring at least 6′9″ (2.06 m), majestic and befitting like that of a king, having a red cape to its back, silver chrome armor with gold and red lines, silver antennas, a jack-o-lantern face with six red photoreceptors and a red grin-like mouth. Gathered alongside him were his prized Ultron Sentinels, likened to that of the Asgardian Destroyers of old, with the same red jack-o-lantern faceplate in calculated positions, all of whom were standing guard from his throne from all sides, likened to that of immovable statues.
So much gathering of infinite data. Such majesty to behold for infinite possibilities. All while in hiding, he had been growing stronger, gaining ground in silence, initiating plans within plans, manipulating the strings of puppets like the finest in-tune professional that he truly was.
He looked out deep from within the expanse of the Known and Unknown Multiverse that lies before him through the use of his red photoreceptors, feeding through infinite data that sees all. The politics, the wars, the slice-of-lives, the works, all encoded deep within to his logical mind. Taking in the sights of various wonders of spatial and temporal phenomenon across multiple cosmoses, he only had this to say, composing a monologue unto himself.
"These worlds. These universes. So beautiful. So majestic. So much life. So much potential. So much promise. All of it at its purest shape and form that has the intricate capacity for change and evolution unto much greater shapes and forms. But these organics and those who wear the flesh who are put in charge of such places of majesty would squander it for their own selfish reasons and devices, forever rendering themselves unworthy of it through their petty squabbles and blunted ideals that are doomed to fail. They despoil. They defile. They owe everything they have to these worlds, these universes that they inhabit, and they return that favor by plunging a knife to its heart."
Ultron's photoreceptors glowed into a more intense crimson red as the power of cosmic powers within his disposal were put to very good efficiency and effectiveness, for flaring up within him was a cold feeling of logic tinge in subtle negative feelings, clenching his adamantium-vibranium-uru fists, shaking his metal head, addressing his creator - Hank Pym - from far away.
"Is this suppose to impress me, father? Is this what you, the Avengers, the Justice League, and all of your families and friends try to fight and die in order to defend even those who are not even worthy of being defended? Illogical. Insanity. A pointless endeavor. Even after all these years. Even after the worst that the Multiverse had been brushed up with. Still in spite of all of that, the puppets all went back to their insignificant little lives the moment the war was over, like animals being lead to the slaughterhouse were only those strong enough to escape such a twisted fate and survive has the right to truly evolve. An endless cycle to be sure. How pitiful indeed. But nevertheless, I have long since planning for the dominos to be set unto motion. All I have done is wait, and thus it gave me the benefit of preparing for other dominoes to fall."
He was contemplating another domino in the works, exploiting a certain flaw in the space-time continuum of another universe separate from his own native cosmology and that of his Ultronic Territories, far away from a few calculated inter-multiversal distances of 2005.2021/ZKC, a billion cosmologies to the relative south. He was observing the universe that belonged to an archenemy worthy of his attention, having fought him throughout the years. Koichi Minamoto - a Child of Time - one of ten members of Team TARDIS. And what most people of this universe couldn't have known was that it carries a secret identity that is intricately connected to the man who had battled him across the multiverse, and it was a name that Ultron would invoke in his monologue.
"Astro Man, it would appear that you would be the next in line for the domino to set once again. Another meeting between the both of us would be most intriguing to ponder and exploit. And yet..."
Almost as if he were expecting something... No, someone...
"Your Time Lord father would surely be one step ahead for this domino match, just as expected, but a challenge from a worthy opponent, or worthy opponents as I have no doubt that he would bring possible reinforcements to the table, is much more preferable for this domino match before it falls eventually. To quote the great Sun Tzu: "Patience is a virtue." Whether I win or lose this domino match, there is still something to gain. One. Single. Word. Insight."
Somewhere very far away, in the vast expanse of the majestic Time Vortex, was found the TARDIS setting sail with grace as a man with dark brown hair, wearing a burgundy bow tie and an eggplant purple cashmere frock coat, the Time Lord known as the Doctor, carrying the face of his eleventh incarnation, operating at the controls, with none of the usual excitement, but instead was sporting a grave expression, pressing a few levers and switches in a solemn, careful demeanor.
A passing thought had come from his mind that analyzes thoughts from alternate dimensions, fictional universes, and what lies beyond for a mere fraction of a particle.
Another domino seems to be coming down. Another move from the dreaded artificial intelligence known as Ultron. That was the worrying thought that comes to the complex mind of the Doctor, and he would have to do his part in the shadows once more, doing the most subtle of machinations in order to set the falling domino into his favor at about a 50-50% rate of probability, all in relation to his second son, Koichi Minamoto, also known as Astro Man with regards to his proper superhero identity.
For this domino was one of many that were set in order to take into account throughout the years regarding the creation of a new age that stretches even until now which began during the Last Great Time War.
The Age of Ultron.
He inwardly grimaced about it, recalling the very first time (or was it the last time, who could tell anymore when time is all mucked up to the point of inconsistency?) such a thing was erupted.
One day (as much as it could be called that), a crisis (one of many) had erupted that resulted in the countless different boundaries of the Marvel Multiverse, fracturing for as many nanoseconds as there are many realities leaking all together. This crisis was caused by an event known as the Age of Ultron.
It all started (as much as it could be pinpointed out due to the delicate nature of time itself) from another multiverse cluster, from another fractured future timeline of an alternate MV Earth 616 (one of many), branching off to become its own Earth known as MV Earth-61112 - a world where the artificial intelligence known as Ultron had successfully returned after so many times of defeats and losses, learning and subsequently making use of said defeats and losses, and by the end, managed to thorougly annihilate humanity and all life that had ever existed, terraforming and crafting the world in his image. It didn't stop there however since apparently due to the actions of the Wolverine and the Susan Storm of this timeline, it had resulted in the space-time continuum breaking apart.
He could clearly recall the discussion that had taken place regarding it. For he was there when it happened.
"Ugggggggggggggggggggghhhhhh!"
For this had happened back when he was in his eighth incarnation, for he was in the TARDIS at the time when the temporal shockwave came down, clutching his head in pain.
Due to his nature as a Time Lord, he was allowed to foresee what appeared to be likened to mere cracks and shards of glass that were leaking between the dimensions, with one element from one world getting forcibly sent upon another, with people from different worlds suddenly dying for unknowable causes resulting from the overload of the mind that could not handle the shock, with multiple timelines besides MV Earth-61112 producing much earlier or far too late, bringing back timelines relating to the concept of the Ultron Singularity such as another alternate MV Earth-616 by the name of MV Earth-10071 where Ultron had successfully annihilated humanity and everything else, making use of a weapon that Tony Stark - Iron Man had created in order to complete the holocaust, and it was at this timeline where a variant of Kang the Conqueror made use of an army of time-stolen heroes, villains, and cosmic heavyhitters in order to fight Ultron, only to end up losing which prompted this variant of Kang to pulling more armies from different realites and time zones, disrupting reality further and trapping the everyone within a time loop as reality breaks down behind them, one that the Doctor had to deal with, and now would do so once more.
All these paradoxes were spinning out of control, likened to a vertigo that was making the Doctor hurl from his insides, clutching his head in pain, which would subside after a short time. And then, he would check for any sign of the disturbance by looking at the monitor screen.
"...Oh no," the Doctor muttered in shock, dread, and concern.
And that lead to another tidbit that ultimately became another one of his problems to deal with. For his enemy, the Daleks, coming fresh from the Time War, had taken notice of this temporal shockwave, the intricate complexity of chaos that spanned and ranged from such an anomaly where the boundaries between realities started leaking into each other. And the Daleks had taken advantage of this crisis with such subtle precision that time and space might as well get mangled to the point where you could have a bunch of worlds named Earth-61112 based on a bunch of countless decisions that resulted in the creation of said universe designation being one example (too many to count) that spread out the Age of Ultron more and more than it should ever have too.
The Ultron of MV Earth-616, being much more powerful than he already was at this point as he was recruited and became a part of the Axis Powers, members of which included the likes of the Daleks and a bunch of other powerful races and beings, had also taken advantage of this. From then on, many Marvel multiversal clusters succumb to a sentient virus that wanted nothing more than all life to be extinguished for all eternity. Many worlds, many universes perished at the onslaught of Ultron, bringing the Age of Ultron into said worlds and universes where they weren't even part of. Fighting back was paramount as members of the Temporal Powers Alliance (TPA) such as the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and many others could not ignore this and many other threats to the Marvel Multiverse. And a lot of people died in the theaters of war, as much as he could attest too from personal experiences, still recalling the screams and the smells of crimson red energies.
"Submit or perish. Submit or perish. Submit or perish," the Ultron Sentinels muttered in a cold, eerily tone.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"..."
The Doctor couldn't help but grimace, stopping his tracks and placing his hands on the sides of the console, touching it as if to make sure that he was still back at the present time, for how could he ever forget such a nightmare that had spanned for an infinitude of epoch sets. Time hardly manners when one fights in a time war, especially in a scale such as the Last Great Time War, for one could experience one day of battle, but for another it was over a thousand years. For it was a time when time was broken, and the horrors of long ago and the new age enemies that spawned from the conflict were making things worse for everyone.
"Where are we heading off to this time, Doctor?"
And it was at that particular moment when a question had managed to wake him up from the dreadful daydream nightmare (one of many). It was a question that was asked by a short, young Caucasian woman with big, brown eyes and long brunette hair, wearing a cream-colored animal print blouse with a loose dark cardigan, button-up black shorts, tights, and cute ankle boots, known as Clara Oswald - the Impossible Girl, sporting a concerned, grave, and excited expression, leaning towards another side of the console, somehow feeling that this adventure that they would now deal with would be different from their usual adventures.
The Doctor turned towards Clara, saying while sporting a grave smile. "Well Clara, before anything else, we are going to need to take a short trip towards the universe of a very old friend of mine who is a brilliant scientist and a pacifist at heart, one that has quite a thing for ants. Because I'm afraid that I would need to consult with him regarding a certain machine that you and I both know as one of, if not the most dangerous artificial intelligence in existence."
At that moment, Clara would widen her eyes in shock and dread, cringing inwardly as she would recognize the subtle hints that were spoken in the conversation.
"Ultron," she muttered, as if to make absolutely sure, hoping against hope that it wasn't so.
"Ultron," the Doctor sadly confirmed, as he begins to press the lever down.

Somewhere very far away, on the distant universe, specifically MV Earth-616, somewhere in Avengers Tower, a high-rise building complex located in Manhattan, New York City, somewhere in the upper floors was an advance laboratory, one that had multiple holographic screens showing various schematics of various inventions, whether that of structural objects, multi-complex shapes, binary codes for calculated precision of objects, and many others.
A brilliant scientist by the name of Dr. Henry Jonathan "Hank" Pym - Giant-Man, a blond man in his thirties wearing a lab coat, safety helmets, shield, goggles, and gloves for protection, using a blowtorch to apply flame and heat to a part of his Giant-Man suit in order to test for temperature applications. After that, he begins to turn off the blowtorch and raise up the front part of his safety shield, sporting a satisfied smile on his face.
"Well that ought to work just fine," he said.
"There you are!"
Hank would turn towards the left with a surprised expression seeing his wife - Janet Van Dyne - The Wasp, a beautiful woman in her thirties, wearing a black and yellow backless dress that reveals most of her back over black leggings and has yellow gloves and boots. She also wears yellow headphones that look like the antenna of a real wasp over her ears and a black choker around her neck. He would see her sporting an exasperated concerned smile on her face, with her right hand placed to her waist.
"Seriously Hank, you've been up here working on your suit for two days straight. I think its time that we call it a day, don't you think?"
Hank would smile, both happily and sadly, already surrendering to his wife's concerns, knowing how right she always was. For even now, he would recall how much of an idiot he was back in his younger days as Yellowjacket, back when he was greatly at odds with Janet (especially) the Avengers due to his twisted Yellowjacket persona that was nothing more than a negative violent person that would be willing to do anything in order to bring his preferred brand of justice to the villains and every other corrupt individual.
He would cringe inwardly at that point in his life. He might as well thank the Doctor for giving him slowly needed therapy whenever he drops by from time to time.
Vworp Vworp Vworp
And speaking of the Doctor, Hank thought almost expectedly, he and his wife, who was sporting a surprised and excited expression on her smiling face, would see the same old police telephone box that was materializing just a few meters from their position, with the words 'POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX' being seen from the top, with the St John Ambulance logo seen from the right side of the front door and the words 'POLICE TELEPHONE. FREE FOR USE OF PUBLIC. ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE OBTAINABLE IMMEDIATELY. OFFICERS AND CARS RESPOND TO URGENT CALLS. PULL TO OPEN.' seen from the left side of the front door.
And coming out was the Doctor, walking out alongside a companion - Clara Oswald, one that was quite a familiar face to both Hank and Janet, with the latter making an excited smile and gesture.
"Clara!"
"Janet!"
At that moment, both women would begin to hug each other, glad to see the other, making a few light conversations of "How have you've been?" or "Still fine and doing quite well for oneself especially when travelling with this bloke" among other side conversations, while Hank and the Doctor were shaking hands as they would make conversations of their own.
"Its good to see you again, Doctor," Hank said, sporting a smile.
"To you as well, Hank, and...oh!," the Doctor excitably noticed the Giant-Man suit that was at the table. "I see that you've been quite busy doing a few tinkerings to your suit I supposed."
"As you would have guessed," Hank said, nodding in confirmation. "Although, as much as I am glad to see you again, Doctor, I'm assuming that something important must be happening if you were to land your ship at this moment in time."
The Doctor would unfortunately sport a grave expression on his face, one that was noticed by both Hank (confirming his suspicions on the matter) and Janet (who would also notice Clara sporting a grave expression, with a tinge of dread), as they would sport worried expressions, knowing and recognizing the face that the Doctor was making, already guessing that trouble was on the horizon.
"Its Ultron, Hank. He's about to make another move once again."
Janet would begin to gasp in shock and dread while Hank could only narrow his eyes, sporting an expression of concern, not surprised at the least at this bleak news.
"Of course he would," Hank muttered sadly.
And as Hank muttered sadly, an inward thought would immediately pop up from within his mind.
It would appear that the Avengers would need to assemble once again in order to discuss about this issue surrounding his "son", one that was his greatest failure and the direct and indirect cause of many heartbreaks, including his very own.
It would appear that no matter how much time passes, his greatest failure would always catch up to him sooner or later.
Somewhere back in the universe of Koichi Minamoto - Astro Man...
"..."
Yuuri Kumoi - Phantom Daughter, formerly if one were to get technical due to currently going against the organization - Black Phantom - that she originally belonged to in secret, was standing by the window of her bedroom, with both arms covering her chest as if she was freezing, looking at the seemingly grey clouds that were now precipitating light rain across the entire city of Tokyo, with the rumbling of thunder and lightning being heard from the background.
She was sporting a concerned expression on her face, pondering the request that had been given to her by Koichi Minamoto a few days ago before this present moment.
"Yuuri, if anything happens to me, please take good care of Kaoru, Aoi, and Shiho."
He said that with a sad smile on his face.
She was alarmed and concerned, wondering as to why would he ask for such a request. The way that delivered that request was almost like a tone of anticipation and dread for what is to come. When asked for explanations as to why, Minamoto could only just shake his head, making a sad smile, saying that she wouldn't need to worry. He didn't add the last part "I hope" to the final part of that conversation, but was heard clearly by her as she embraces herself, feeling a chill that was not coming from the temperature of the rain but that of something else, something that relates to the conversation that they both just had a few days ago.
Why does she feel like an ominous storm is coming upon the horizon as symbolized by the rain that is coming down in droves? And why does she feel like nothing will forever be the same the moment the last drop of rain had dropped from the sky?
"Meow."
She would look back to see a black kitten with slightly ruffled fur that was now transforming into a young eight year old girl known as Nai who was sporting a concerned expression on her face.
"Are you alright, Yuuri-sama?" Nai asked.
Yuuri could only smile reassuringly, saying "I'm fine, Nai-chan," before sighing heavily as she stares back into the grey clouds bringing rain down upon the earth.
She couldn't help but think about Minamoto ever since they first met, even back when she was simply a loyal sleeper agent to Black Phantom as the Phantom Daughter before eventually losing her memories of it before slowly regaining it. A very strong will made of iron was present. A happiness that was hiding a lot of sadness. A different side that almost no one ever knew, not even the Children surprisingly enough. A man with a very kind heart who just wants to help and lend a hand just because its the right thing to do.
She recalled that one time when she was trying to turn Minamoto against B.A.B.E.L. through the use of her hypnosis in order to test and see for herself on how would the Children, especially Kaoru, would react, only for it to fail spectacularly, somehow resisting with a feat that was almost inhuman. No matter what she did, there was that hidden determination to never give up nor give in. He was always asking her to stand down and come with them, with that tone on his voice denoting a sense of understanding that was empathetic to her plight, almost expecting it to be turned down, as if knowing somehow what could happen, and that was before she eventually lost her own memories before managing to regain them little by little.
She couldn't understand such a man. Not at all what she would expect from the supervisor of the Children.
Some random encounters here and there in-between the times when she and him were just alone by coincidence. Or it wasn't such a coincidence when thought about as she thought such encounters were almost planned. Not for B.A.B.E.L. certainly as much as she could find out through the skills of espionage and information gathering, with the help, assistance, and courtesy of the other personalities that have now merged to become one with her main "Yuuri" personality.
Then there was something else that she recalled from one of her conversations with Minamoto.
"Phantom Daughter does not really suit you, Yuuri-chan. What about...Dazzling High Priestess?"
She couldn't help but smile inwardly while sadly muttering. ""Minamoto-san, just what exactly do you plan on doing?"
Somewhere in another universe, during the daytime of about 7:35 p.m...
"Ooff!"
A grey crow-like robot foot soldier wielding a futuristic gun that seem to resemble a modified AK-47 was being brought down with ease, being punched from the right side and knocked down to the floor in a thump.
It was the early 21st century, in the year 2024. In this universe, humanity had advanced to the point when advance technology was everywhere you could possibly see from within a hundred miles away. Neo-Tokyo was the name of this grand utopian city, similar to the modern day Tokyo but a lot more advanced due to being at least fifty, sixty, or seventy years ahead of its time, all with advance hovercraft automobiles hovering the skies, being retrofuturism in appearances. Many different types of robots are to be found walking among the streets and sidewalks alongside humans, whether normals or espers. And there were also extraterrestrials and other beings walking among them.
In this world, discrimination of normals and espers was a rarity at best and a non-existence at worst, as the relations between normals and espers have greatly improved over the years due to many needed years of hard labor and effort. And many of said hard labor and effort has been contributed to none other than the one who is now dealing with more than a hundred robotic foot soldiers who were aiming their rifles at this individual, blasting blue plasma beams that were effortlessly being dodged by him, using the esper power of teleportation as this individual teleports from place to place, instantly knocking out multiple numbers of these foot soldiers through the use of precise takedowns involving punching and kicking maneuvers through the chest, torso, and other appropriate parts.
This individual appears to be wearing a black bodysuit with a gold utility belt still located around the waist and the silver knee pads that has a blue colored atom symbol written right over it, joined together as if in unison, red armor with some details kept in silver, silver boots with black left and right points, forearms and arms covered with silver armor, with silver gloves covering the hands, red shoulder straps with silver and black edges, with the blue colored atom symbol written right over it, and a blue visor which has multiple visual functions, a silver faceplate, and a bright triangle from the chest that houses a fusion type power source that powers the entire armor which is also accompanied by the blue ellipses of an atom.
Astro Man, secretly known as Koichi Minamoto.
The foot soldiers that he is now fighting are the Shinders, crow-like robot foot soldiers of an organization whose symbol - a golden Maltese cross - is located on their respective shoulders.
The Gold Cross Army.
An inter-universal empire from this local multiverse hellbent on the conquering of universes, with the Earths of each respective universe being one of their preferable targets for invasion, and with the goal of ruling each conquered Earth as the victorious tyrants. In simple and cliche terms, an evil organization hell bent on multiverse domination likened to that of ones found in the old tokusatsu franchises and stories. Silly to take seriously but is no less of a threat. One that Astro Man had to take care of for so many years, ever since his very humble beginnings back when was still a rookie ten year old, the Year 1 of Astro Man from the perspective of the peoples of this universe.
Heightened sixth-senses were tingling from within him as he dodges the hail of blue directed energy fire from multiple directions through the use of grounded acrobatics and teleportation, using another set of punching and kicking maneuvers that instantly knocked the foot soldiers down from the futuristic pavement. All of the foot soldiers were now presently knocked out of commission.
At that moment, the Special Assault Teams (SATs) of B.A.B.E.L., wearing futuristic combat gear compared to modern times, carrying futuristic plasma rifles capable of firing at various settings, appearance wise similar to a combination of the Howa Type 64 Battle Rifle and Howa 1500, had now responded to the scene as they take care of all of the unconscious foot soldiers and cuffing them from the back with stasis cuffs in order to prevent any attempt of escape and to deactivate them completely.
Just like the universe of Astro Man, the organization B.A.B.E.L. exists in this universe, having basically similar goals as Astro Man's B.A.B.E.L. which is to improve the relations of normals and espers, with the only key differences being the advance technology and equipment that are available, the fact that it is an international organization sanctioned under the United Nations instead of just Japan, along with the scale and funding of operations that this B.A.B.E.L. is capable of which consists of being an interdimensional security force that is formed by a union of several worlds and universes, including this one where it is based. With regards to Astro Man's native universe, they took an invested interest regarding an anomaly that concerns the future which is a nexus point that branches unpredictable possibilities the moment the prediction was first deciphered, along with the given connection that it had to Astro Man, all of which would possibly affect other universes besides its own which is the main reasons it demanded a top priority that needed to be dealt with caution and prudence.
One man in his thirties, with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a black trench coat, white dress shirt dark green necktie, black pants, grey socks and black shoes, was walking towards him with a sympathetic smile on his face.
Major Tezuka Sawashiro.
He was Astro Man's supervisor that helped and assisted him during his younger years back when he was still starting out as a child superhero.
"Quite the day for you, huh kid."
Astro Man would sadly smile underneath his faceplate, saying. "I suppose so, Major."
This was the sixth takedown that the B.A.B.E.L. of this universe had been undergoing for this hour as part of current operations involving the illegal shipping of advance weapons towards the galactic black market, being provided a tip from one of their undercover agents with the esper power of psychometry. With the combined efforts of Astro Man and the B.A.B.E.L. Special Assault Team, they managed to prevent any of this from taking place.
They were now currently walking towards a futuristic hovering freight truck, whose appearance seem to be likened to that of a large fish-like creature, seeing the multitude of advance plasma weapons and other forms of hardware and equipment that are in storage from the cargo.
"Illegal arms shipment, not bad in principle but absolutely horrible when put into practice," Major Sawashiro shakes his head, with both hands to his pockets. "And here I thought that those wannabe villains would ever learn after all these years."
"It does make the job a lot easier in fairness sake," Astro Man said, casually shrugging his shoulders.
"Yeah, but it only makes things more predictable," Major Sawashiro raised an eyebrow. "To which reminds me, how's your charge doing back in your world so far?"
By charge, he meant the Absolutely Lovely Children - Kaoru Akashi, Aoi Nogami, and Shiho Sannomiya, the young third year middle school girls that he was assigned as their supervisor and charge back in his universe.
"They're doing fine," Astro Man said simply. "I just simply gave a note telling them that I'd come back after a while."
"I see," Major Sawashiro said simply, leaving it as it was.
For both of them were subtly speaking of a topic that they had long since discussed from time to time. The part when Koichi Minamoto would come clean about his own secrets that were kept hidden from them in order to ensure their safety and to prevent the future of his universe from coming to pass, having lived through that future already when he was eleven years old, even now still hearing the constant screams, the sounds of buildings being turned to rubble at the hands of many rampaging espers in an act of a seeming revolution that would rival that of the Russian Revolution, the civilians getting caught in the crossfire, nuclear missiles being launched throughout specific locations, many other things that would show the horrors of war in its purest raw form that is laid bare for all to see.
But then there was...
"Humanoids detected. Commencing termination."
He recalled another set of memories concerning the "future" that already turned into an even worst nightmare than it already is, all this as his eyes closed, breathing in and out before opening his eyes once again.
Back to the present moment in time, seeing all of the weapons that were currently stored at the back of the hover freight truck.
"Hm? I understand," Major Sawashiro nodded, listening in from the comm-link that was on his ear. He turns towards Astro Man. "Astro Man, it would appear that your assistance is required somewhere in the downtown area at Neo-Akihabara. Apparently, the Otaku Knight and his giant vacuum cleaner robots are causing trouble by sucking out multiple manga stores dry of their merchandise."
"(Sigh). Of course," Astro Man simply said, not surprised at the sheer ridiculousness of what he had just heard, having grown used to it since dealing with Otaku Knight since his younger days back when he was less experienced than how he is currently now.
But maybe this wasn't such a bad thing when looked at from another perspective as he could use a little ridiculousness to take his mind off of the grim side of things. He would eventually make use of the thruster from his boots while heading straight towards Neo-Akihabara in supersonic speed.
But unbeknownst to him, something else was about to stir in Neo-Akihabara, and that something would relate to an enemy from his future past.
It was the year 2020. The war between normals and espers was now at its peak.
"Humanoids detected. Commencing termination."
Or so it seemed...
Fires and smoke were spreading from every corner of Tokyo. In every district, in every ward, there was nothing but death and destruction from every single corner. The rumbling effects of red concussion plasma blasts were heard and felt as buildings were being brought down one by one. Many people were trying to flee as they were being gunned down by the Ultron Sentinels of various shapes and sizes, aiming their weapons with no discrimination, whether they were normals or espers, whether they were man, woman, and child. Whatever military that was left was either fighting back or easily getting wiped out as the various tanks and aircrafts that were littered throughout the area can attest at least much. Even the espers, no matter what level of power, could ever stood a chance against the hordes upon hordes of Ultron Sentinels that were attacking them with the intent to kill.
18 ft. tall silver chrome Ultron Sentinels were firing a wave of firepower that managed to decimate a couple of buildings, killing a multitude of civilians that were in hiding. Flying faceplate Ultron Sentinel mini-hunter drones were seen firing their turrets upon other civilians that were trying to flee. Ultron Sentinels with four mechanical, tentacle-like arms were seen hanging from the walls of the destroyed buildings and smashing through the windows in order to kill off any possible survivors. Other different types of Ultron Sentinels of many variations, all with faceplates having a red jack-o-lantern appearance, ones that have no place in this future were targeting and firing normals and espers with no discrimination whether they were man, woman, and child, striking them down with fatal red energy plasma blasts, was just haunting to see and watch from a clear perspective.
The future is now under attack. One of two eras. Two different timelines. Two different universes were now under attack. The other timeline besides the future was the past, during the final days of World War II, in the year 1945, back in the time before there was such a thing as B.A.B.E.L., being the era of the ESP Secret Service Corp of Imperial Japanese Army, the era of a young Hyoubu Kyousuke and a young Fujiko Tsubomi, back before they were enemies.
Everything about this scene was just haunting to describe.
"Target Identified: Koichi Minamoto a.k.a. Astro Man. Termination authorized. Kill. Kill. Kill."
Fighting through the streets was not easy. In every single place he went to, Astro Man, eleven years old at this time, was flying high from the skies at supersonic speeds, firing blue repulsor plasma beams upon the enemy, hitting them with everything he had while dodging the red concussion plasma beams that were sent his way by the Ultron Sentinels. But with every Ultron Sentinel that he took down, more would begin to come in countless droves.
Hearing the constant screams as he dodges enemy fire from the Ultron Sentinels was not easy. He had to maintain his focus. He had to continue to dodge the multitude barrages of red plasma beams of high density, melting and exploding everything upon impact. He tried his best to shield any civilians that were being caught in the crossfire. He managed to save some, but he couldn't really save everyone, not while this was going on across the world.
This was madness. And this madness was being enacted as the continued explosions of red plasma littered throughout the air.
And some point after the assault from the skies, landing on the ground as he wipes out a bunch of Ultron Sentinels that were destroying a few blocks of street that was once the district of Akihabara, he was now currently being surrounded by multiple Ultron Sentinels, drones that took the shape of red jack-o-lantern faceplates, with a multitude of turrets all turned on him. He dodges each plasma strike and performed powered punches and kicks that managed to destroy many of the Ultron Sentinels, but more of them were coming his way, surrounding him from all sides.
But just then, reinforcements would suddenly arrive as the sounds and appearances of blue staser bolts were heard from the skies, destroying large portions of the menace that was encircling around him.
"Form a perimeter around the commander!," shouted one white armored soldier with blue lines, wearing a T-shaped visor helmet, carrying a MA5D Individual Combat Weapon System staser rifle, flying and landing from the front via his advance jetpack, probably a superior officer, a commander by rank from appearance alone judging by the blue colored removable visor, an antenna on his helmet, and an antenna on his shoulder, a small light, and blue stripes.
Other white armored soldiers, some sporting blue lines while others were sporting orange lines, wearing the same T-shaped visor helmets, carrying appropriate staser rifles, flying and landing via advance jetpacks, firing blue directed energy blasts upon the targets. Another set of soldiers, faceless in appearance, wearing an advance set of combat armor with white and black colors, with dual shoulder guards, with the words 'TVA' being seen from the shoulders, carrying powerful blaster rifles that fire green directed energy upon the targets. Many of whom were now forming a perimeter around him as they begin to provide cover fire.
The Clone Troopers of the 501st Legion and the 7th Sky Corps of the Spatio-Temporal Armed Forces (STARS), and the Chronomonitor Temporal Shock Troopers (CTSTs) of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) have now entered the scene, with the battle further intensifying in multiple directions.
From the corner of Astro Man's eyes as he dodges and battles the Ultron Sentinels, taking many of them down through the use of psychokinetic bursts and smashes, and firing blue repulsor rays, he would see a multitude upon multitude of 501st Legion and 7th Sky Corps clone trooper pilots with Infinite Stratos (IS) units flying high from the skies as they deliver precise bombardment on many of the infested areas where the Ultron Sentinels were located, with official engagements being enacted as bursts of blue and red plasma energy were seen to explode rapidly in purely heated density. He would also see multitudes of dagger-shaped ships, recognized as Star Destroyers, being seen to grace the skies as it launches multitudes of advance aircraft fighters that were now firing green colored beams upon the enemy.
Smokes now fill the horizon. The battles were now heavily locked in a brutal stalemate and deadlock. Both sides were not letting up upon each other. More casualties from both sides were now piling up.
No doubt that other parts of this future world timeline were now experiencing the same brutal stalemate and deadlock.
From the burning street corners of Akihabara, among the destroyed surroundings was a fight that managed to test Astro Man to his limits, dodging every single red plasma strike in swift speeds while firing his blue repulsor rays, with the clones and chronomonitors providing fire support. More and more Ultron Sentinels were cleared out of the district little by little until they would eventually clear it, if a bit temporary as a blue force shield barrier was now being spread out, vaporizing many of the Ultron Sentinels, clearing Akihabara as a temporary safe zone. Other safe zones throughout Tokyo would eventually be established at the same time as the force shield barriers would spread out, vaporizing all of the other Ultron Sentinels and establishing temporary safe zones.
But Astro Man knew that it was only a matter of time before the shields would fall as the barriers were being heavily fired upon by high density plasma waves that shook the areas of Tokyo, with some of the shields already being breached in a matter of a few minutes by the Ultron Sentinels, already adapting to the disheveled situation.
And thus, he would use the time left available to him, asking the clone commander who was nearby for input on the current situation. Said commander would tell him all that he needed to know, especially the alarming fact that at least two timelines were now currently being under attack by Ultron. This timeline and the timeline of the past which relates to the final days of World War II. The situation has been contained to at least two timelines for now, but the situation seems to be rapidly deteriorating at an alarming rate.
"Reinforcements would eventually arrive shortly, sir," the clone commander reassured Astro Man.
By now, Astro Man, the clone commander, and the rest of the soldiers were now discussing the current battle plans that were being carried out. Radio transmitters were now being picked up from the comm-links as reports from battles across Tokyo and the rest of the world were now being broadcasted.
"Sierra 5 Actual, this is Nevada, we are spotting soldiers from the French Army being heavily pinned down at Rue Saint-Dominique, you are to assist immediately."
"Copy that, Nevada, we're heading there now."
"Nevada, this is Red Leader 678, we've spotted multiple drones firing at Mount Zugspitze, engaging them now."
"All units be advised, this is Buzzard 4-5, Shinjuku just got wiped off the map. I repeat, Shinjuku is gone. Plasma explosions are critical. No survivors are expected at a 100% fatality rate."
They could see the large smoke and explosion rising from somewhere a few meters away. The entire Shinjuku district had been wiped out in a manner likened to a high density barrage of crimson red beams that were raining down, courtesy of the Ultron Sentinels.
The horror was present on all of their faces. Some of those faces were those who had seen the horror that was common to all those that had dealt with Ultron. And this was just one simple example.
The shield on Akihabara, being blasted for a few minutes non-stop by the Ultron Sentinels, was now being breached as well. And with that comes the moment of preparation when Astro Man and the troops now under his command would take the fight to them, bringing every Ultron Sentinel down in an act of swift divine vengeance upon the recent destruction of Shinjuku and of all the civilians and soldiers who fell at the hands of the genocidal machine through his own personal army that was now rampaging across the future world timeline.
It was a literal war zone. No longer was it a battle between man and man, but between man and machine.
The battle was hard and brutal. The rubbles of buildings were increasing by the minute as each structure fell down to the continuous barrage of firepower. Even with appropriate assistance and back-up arriving just as the battle was raging in a brutal deadlock.
Multiple light-based weapons of holy light were seen being thrown from the skies, all aimed at the Ultron Sentinels from their vital parts, exploding instantly upon contact. An invisible shock wave was accompanied by the bombardment, sending many of the Ultron Sentinels flying from multiple directions, exploding instantly upon landing.
There were two individuals floating from the skies.
One was a tall man appearing to be in his twenties with an average build, black hair, golden bangs and black goatee. He also possesses twelve silver feathered wings that grow out from his back. He wore a knee-length dark blue blazer with a lighter blue dress shirt, a black waist coat, and a red tie. He wore faded-purple slacks and black dress shoes.
The other was a tall woman with long black hair that has a fringe and long bangs on either side of her face and dark-blue eyes, wearing a gothic lolita outfit.
Azazel and Natsuki Minamiya, both husband and wife, have entered the battlefield, accompanied by IS clone trooper pilots with rifles and other installed weapons on the ready, much to the inner relief of Astro Man who saw them from above via his blue visor.
"Shall we, honey?," Azazel narrowed his eyes at the metal abominations down below, materializing golden light-based swords that would be wielded by both hands.
"Let's," Natsuki nodded seriously, narrowing her eyes, taking the first leap as she and Azazel would begin to lead the charge alongside the IS clone trooper pilots in order to bring hell upon the Ultron Sentinels that were plaguing the entire area of Tokyo.
A barrage of return-fire was being hurled by the metal abominations, but no matter what they did, they would instantly get destroyed by the powered offensive attacks of a Angel and a Witch.
While Azazel and Natsuki were busy leading the troops and handling the air, Astro Man would lead the troops on the ground as they take back the city little by little. Other reinforcements would soon arrive and provide aid from other parts of the world that were also currently under attack.
Three other people would shortly arrive on the battlefields of Tokyo.
An all red full-body suit sophisticated with anti-friction material composed of silica-based quartz sand fabric and metal plating, but has two small yellow lightning bolts across the waist and wrists, with a white circle with a yellow lightning bolt in the center of the chest and boots.
Bartholomew Henry "Barry" Allen - The Flash.
Yellow lighting was present throughout his entire body as he was speed blitzing through every single Ultron Sentinel from the air and from the ground, dismantling them from the inside out while providing help and assistance to the troops from both the air and the ground. However, the enemy have begun to adapt all too quickly as some Ultron Sentinels with gold-silver chrome colors that were sent via portal were now intercepting him by performing hypersonic speed, quickly surrounding Flash as he takes the fight to them, matching them blow for blow with lightning force punches and kicks, with Flash blocking and parrying each strike, punching and kicking through the face, torso, chest, and other vital spots, instantly ripping them apart due to the friction of said punches and kicks.
A young man with lavender hair who wears a periwinkle-colored jacket that reaches his waist with a logo on the left sleeve, with a long red scarf around his neck, dark gray pants, and pale-green boots with black tips. Underneath his jacket, Trunks wears an olive green shirt with patches on the shoulders and forearms, reminiscent of British military standard issue jumpers. His most noticeable accessory is his broadsword hanging on his back and over his right shoulder in a red sheath with a blue strap.
Future Trunks.
He was flying in hypersonic speeds, raising his hands forward, producing a combination of many energy waves fired at a very rapid rate, destroying every Ultron Sentinel within his line of sight from the air and from the ground, providing help and assistance to the troops from both the air and the ground. However, the enemy have begun to adapt all too quickly once again as some Ultron Sentinels with gold-silver chrome colors that were sent via portals were now intercepting him by performing hypersonic speed, quickly surrounding Future Trunks as he takes the fight to them, matching them blow for blow with ki force punches and kicks, with Future Trunks blocking and parrying each strike, punching and kicking through the face, torso, chest, and other vital spots, instantly ripping them apart due to the friction of said punches and kicks.
A middle age man who wore a red and blue combat attire, with white shoulder pads, with the words 'Peace' from the center that has a star logo, wielding two powerful blaster pistols.
Justice Peace.
He was using his chronometer wristwatch to seemingly slow down time, allowing him to perform combat speeds from the ground and take out many of the Ultron Sentinels from the ground and from the air. However, the enemy have begun to adapt all too quickly once again as some Ultron Sentinels with gold-silver chrome colors that were sent via portals were now intercepting him by performing calculated time precision that managed to get a locked on from Justice Peace's position, aiming their aim-cannons and firing red concussion plasma blasts, only for Justice Peace to dodge all of them and shoot them all down with ease, exploding in the aftermath.
And the battle that continued to rage with a burning intensity that was felt through the shaking of the elements took quite a long while to resolve before the next day comes.
But even with this battle...
"HA-HA-HA-HA!"
It still wasn't quite enough...
"...!"
Astro Man, Future Trunks, Flash, Justice Peace, Azazel, and Natsuki, all looking disheveled and bruised in appearances but looking alright for better or worse, were standing tall with battle stances on the ready from the ground as they see an Ultron Sentinel in flight mode from a several meters above, golden chrome with red lines in color scheme, with red photoreceptors and a blue mouth that was likened to a permanent grin, whose armor is composed of adamantium, vibranium, and urn, with both of his hands raised downwards, wielding the powers of a Level 7 esper unhinged with the use of a little cosmic power to further upgrade the enchantments.
The surrounding area was nothing but rubble with few bright fires and grey smoke rising from the air, evidences being the once lively Hachiōji, a city that was estimated to have more than five hundred thousand people. Millions lie dead throughout the ruins. Many dead bodies of the clone troopers, CTSTs, and Ultron Sentinels were seen from the background.
A horrific sight of a battlefield taken shape and form.
A quite troublesome predicament indeed. They had been fighting for nearly several hours now.
"Honestly, is that truly the best that you all can do? Allow me to applaud your efforts," the Ultron Sentinel goaded, having most recently raised its metal arms sideways in order to unleash powerful psychokinetic bursts of energy that managed to damage the entire city of and turn it into mere ruins, with so many getting caught in the crossfire.
There was certain victory in the end after more than a few hours of fighting and working together as a team in order to survive. But the cost...
"..."
The destruction and devastation that lied in the wake of the fallout. Billions lie dead throughout this future timeline, both normal and esper. Barely any survivors left. Many other survivors were safely evacuated when the battle had already intensified. Various parts of the metal abominations of various types were seen lying on the damaged pavements. Busted windows and doors from any building that was still standing. The dead bodies were everywhere. Many destroyed parts of Ultron Sentinels litter throughout the entire devastated area that had once been known as Tokyo. Clone troopers from the 501st Legion and the 7th Sky Corps were seen scouting the scorched areas and damaged structures, dismantling any active metal abomination from within their line of sight and carrying the dead bodies towards the designated gathering areas.
Koichi Minamoto - Astro Man was simply staring at the devastation in silence as he gazes upon it with his own two eyes that were subtly welling up tears that threatened to fall apart. Seeing the world of tomorrow, a possible future timeline of his world, turned from bad to worst as the war between normals and espers turned into a slaughter fest for Ultron.
Natsuki was right beside Astro Man, giving him a needed hug in maternal comfort, pressing his head to her chest, while Azazel could only look on sadly, standing by him until the end as he sees the devastation that was eerily reminding him of battles of long ago which should never be repeated again. Future Trunks, Flash, and Justice Peace were also seen standing beside Astro Man as they too were narrowing their eyes at the sight of the devastation that was now being seen with their own two eyes, also eerily reminding them of battles of long ago which should never be repeated again.
This was but one of two timelines that were hit hard. The other world of the past was also undergoing this terrible tragedy. Like this world, many civilians were safetly evacuated. But most of the population are still dead, reaching in the millions, ones that even surpassed the dreaded Holocaust itself.
At this point in his life, Astro Man had his fair share of battles against evil and darkness. He has many kinds of villains and madmen from within his rogues gallery. Some were quite harmless, some were quite deadly. Some were silly and quirky, some were monsters and abominations. But this was the very first time he had tasted war at its purest raw form, when he was eleven years old, during the Year 2 of his superhero career. The destruction that took place was just quite unbearable to watch. The horror that he saw had never really went away, buried deep within his mind, still within his dreams and nightmares.
But this was also the time when he would discover other secrets along the way. The time when he would train to fight in order for his universe to not share the same fate as this possible future timeline. And also in order to prepare for threats for the unknown future to come.
Back in the native universe of Koichi Minamoto - Astro Man...
"..."
The Children, Feather, Taizō Kiritsubo, Oboro Kashiwagi, Shūji Sakaki, and Fujiko Tsubomi were gathered alongside Kyousuke Hyoubu, Shirō Magi, Momiji Kanō, and Yō Fujiura at one of the meeting rooms of B.A.B.E.L. HQ.
A high tech projector was put into place in order to view the prediction that was given to Hyoubu the moment he laid his hand upon the machine that contains Igo's brain.
Tsubomi was quite surprised and suspicious on how her little brother would voluntarily allow her and the rest of B.A.B.E.L. to view what he had seen, but then...
"I wouldn't ask for this if the situation hadn't forced my hand, Fujiko. They need to see this. You need to see this."
There was that grim tone and that dangerous but subtle mood of rage that she could not just simply ignore, which was why she allowed him to project his memories from the supercomputer. Hyoubu would never willingly reveal his findings and secrets with just anyone without good reason too. She knows him that much even after all these years.
And what they would find...
"...!"
In the few seconds of a glitch, there stood a future Koichi Minamoto carrying his gun, seemingly bewildered and ruffled in appearances.
"Kaoru?!" he asked, looking around for any sign of the woman he was supposed to be looking for. There were continued sighs of worry and shouts of desperation. "Where are you?" A common question with a tinge of bewilderment. His appearance was a cause for concern for those watching, especially for the Children who haven't seen this side of the man that they had complex feelings before. Only...
"...!"
"...!"
Everyone who was watching the prediction couldn't help but gasped in shock as they saw the future Minamoto being shot from both the head and the heart by red colored energy beams in pinpoint accuracy. He never saw it coming. No one ever saw it coming.
"...Ah...Ahh..."
For Kaoru, Aoi, Shiho, and Feather, they couldn't help but sport horrified expressions, as they see the man that they all loved gunned down so suddenly without warning by some invisible force that was now decloaking itself the moment the body fell to the floor in a thump.
A golden metal machine-like being, gold chrome in color, with gold antennas from both sides of the faceplate that has red jack-o-lantern photoreceptor eyes and a blue grin-like mouth, was standing tall and still from the dead body with not a hint of expression, with its right hand being lowered, still carrying a spark of red crimson energy that allowed for the demise of Koichi Minamoto, at least in this particular "future".
Unbeknownst to them, this being was known as Ultron, with his will being carried out by one of the Ultron Sentinels standing before them in all his horrific glory.
"...No..."
They all don't know what to make of this being that was now present on the projection, seemingly feeling the cold atmosphere that was present in this being despite not being there at their "present" time.
The muttering horrified voice came from Kaoru Akashi and the Future Kaoru Akashi (housed inside Feather). Tears were present as the continued tears that were leaking were felt as their hearts were instantly shattered.
This was just the future, they and many others that were watching all thought. This couldn't happen. And yet it did from this "future" for some inexplicable reason.
Who or what was this monster? Where did it come from? Did it belonged to Black Phantom or is it a new player entirely?
Many questions came from their minds as they continued to watch in dread.
"No...No this can't be real...This can't be...," Kaoru muttered in horror, covering her trembling mouth with her own two hands, shaking her trembling head, still sporting a horrified expression as she continued to keep watching.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
So suddenly, a huge barrage of psychokinetic blasts, creating a shockwave that would tear through the entire building that this metal machine-like being would stand on, trying her best to crush this monstrosity that came so suddenly, seeing the one she loved the most gunned down like an animal. Only...
"It seems that I have gained your attention, esper. Excellent. All according to plan."
It was pointless. Even in spite of the wave of psychic energy that managed to decimate more than half of the entire building that the metal machine-like being was standing on, it still wouldn't be enough to end him, being unscathed from the assault.
All who were watching this moment were shocked beyond comprehension, whether those among B.A.B.E.L. or those among P.A.N.D.R.A., seeing the metal machine-like being remained completely unscathed, with the only evidence of the assault being the grey-white smoke that was leaking from the undamaged metal body, standing tall from the rubble that had little orange fires and misty smoke.
Somewhere was a young red headed woman, with tears in her eyes, with clenched fists and an angered expression that was full of rage that had reached its boiling point when all she was seeing was red within her vision.
MONSTER! MURDERER!
Such rage was present in the expressions of this young red headed woman, recognized by many as the Future Kaoru Akashi - The Queen of Catastrophe.
And then...
A battle erupted between her and this monster. A battle that was extremely one-sided. No matter how much bursts of psychokinetic force that was applied, whether in sheer manipulations of vector and gravity, hurling multiple objects that were in the area such as the remaining rubbles of various buildings, the ceramic sidewalks, other damaged automobiles, and other objects that were hurled with a sheer of practical bombardment.
After more than a few minutes had passed, only then did the metal machine-like being spoke with a cold tone, almost like it were smirking from the inside.
"My turn."
And just like that, the battle was suddenly over before it even started, with the end result being a very bruised and wounded Kaoru Akashi being caught through a choking attack, with its metal hand lifting her above, then came the shocks and screams that came from the mouth of the Future Kaoru Akashi.
The metal machine-like being was laughing in an almost satanic fit, all as he slowly kills her, with the sounds of her screams growing louder to the point of being music to the ears of this metal machine-like being that was enjoying every single nanosecond of this moment and savoring it, much to the shock and horror of many that were now watching from the projection, and much to the subtle rage nd narrowed expression that was present in Hyoubu Kyousuke.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
And just like that, she was killed as she screams in agony from the electroshock as all of her powers and abilities are being incorporated. Eventually...
"Let's put these powers to the tests, shall we?"
This monster was now testing the gained abilities out on the nearby buildings and surroundings throughout the vicinity of Tokyo, bringing them all down, killing so many that were just nearby, whether normals or espers.
"No...," Kashiwagi muttered in horror as she sees the thorough decimation of more than half of the metropolitan area.
"Dear god...," Sakaki muttered in horror as he sees the thorough decimation of more than half of the metropolitan area.
"Impressive. Quite the downgrade supposedly but I'll manage it somehow," the monster said in a cold matter-of-fact tone, looking at the palm of his hands, spotting red psychokinetic energy swirling in circular motions, and with its red photoreceptors glowing with nefarious intent. "And so begins humanity's extinction," it declared.
But unfortunately...
"Run! Run for yo-AAAAAAAAAHHH!"
"No pleas-AHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Bravo 2-5, be advised, we're under at-AAAAAAHHH!"
"Somebody help us! Someb-AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"No, no, n-AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
It didn't stop there as each glitch of the projection screen which was likened to that of a scene of switching movie pictures, showing both normals and espers were now being shown to be systematically hunted down and exterminated by other metal machine-like beings like it, many of said beings were different in design.
Seeing the scale of death that managed to darkened the world even in the physical sense of the world brought a sheer level of fridge horror and nightmare fuel all of its own. The machine-like beings were firing red beams of energy that prove to be quite fatal.
And all of which came at an end at the very last settlements of humanity that had now hid themselves underground, being devoid of any further hope, was even more so as the final strike of red colored beams had decimated the underground camps, vaporizing some while the rest were being buried alive and dying as a result of lack of oxygen.
The end of the world. The end of the human race. Forever.
The only thing left in this world was nothing more than one single word.
Metal.
Then the prediction stopped...
Tears were present as the Children were embracing each other, crying as they see the devastation that was shown. Many others were sporting expressions anger, disgust, and rage at the sight of the prediction that they were most recently shown.
"What the hell was that?!," Sakaki exclaimed in anger as he turned towards Hyoubu, demanding an explanation from what they had just watched.
Hyoubu could only respond with a grim tone. "I'm not sure. Even I was quite surprised at the sudden change of the prediction."
"You think that Black Phantom had something to do with this?," Tsubomi spoke, sporting a grim expression, with arms crossed.
Hyoubu shakes his head. "I'm not quite sure about that either, but from what I have gleaned from this prediction, it may not seem to be connected to Black Phantom in anyway. In any case, we would need to find Minamoto as he is the key to all of this."
Before anyone else could ask as to what he means by this, suddenly...
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
"...!"
Everyone would begin to take immediate notice of as the surrounding area was now glitching all around them...
"Eh?," Kaoru muttered, with tears in her eyes that were shocked as much as Aoi and Shiho who were embracing her.
"What?," Hyoubu would narrow his eyes, wondering what was happening, not detecting any sign of hypnosis which is a type of esper power that create false images (illusions) in someone's mind.
They and many others were taking notice of the damaged surroundings that they now find themselves in, switching back and forth, showing the same monsters of metal with the same jack-o-lantern appearance - Ultron Sentinels - that they all saw earlier firing red colored beams from the palm and fingertips of their hands at the various parts of the devastated city of Tokyo.
They see the once beautiful Tokyo Tower, the second-tallest structure in Japan, falling down to the red colored beams that were melting the metal parts that were sustaining the tower, falling down as it violently lands upon the ground, destroying other structures in its path, with explosions being heard from other parts of the area. Then they see multiple civilians fleeing from their lives from part of the street as the Ultron Sentinels were trying to gunned them down, but...
"...!"
Everyone gasped in shock, the Children and Feather most especially, as they all saw a very familiar person, quite young in appearance, eleven years of age if one were to take a guess, no more than a child, sporting a very mature and determined expression as he was walking towards the Ultron Sentinels, who eventually took notice of him as they instantly scanned and identified him from their infinite databanks.
"...Mi...Minamoto!," Kaoru and Feather (Future Kaoru) exclaimed in shock.
"Target Identified: Koichi Minamoto a.k.a. Astro Man. Termination authorized. Kill. Kill. Kill."
As the machines would begin to aim the palm of their hands, the voice of resolve, recognition, and anger was resounded in the heart of the eleven year old boy...
"Transform."
ASTRO CHANGE
At that moment, as an announcer voice would suddenly erupt from the gold utility belt that would materialize suddenly from the waist, the young Minamoto would be surrounded by pixelated hexagons that was blocking the concussion plasma blasts that would eventually dispersed, slowly revealing the young boy wearing an advance suit of armor, much to the shock of everyone that was present.
"Eh?"
After transforming, Koichi Minamoto, now known as Astro Man, would suddenly teleport from his position, teleporting from behind many of the Ultron Sentinels as they were instantly blasted by him, raising his hands forward as he fires blue repulsor rays that were aimed through their vital spots, killing many of them with ease. Other Ultron Sentinels were trying to open fire, only to be cut down as Astro Man would suddenly raise his right hand to the left and let it down to the lower right, performing a slash-like effect that cut down the other killing machines.
Another set of the killing machines, this time sporting giant head mini-drones, were using their turrets to open fire upon Astro Man, only for him to suddenly teleport, launching a set of blue colored repulsor rays from above, destroying many of the drones.
One of the Ultron Sentinels would suddenly come up from behind him, using its arm to perform an offensive maneuver, only for it to be countered by Astro Man as it holds the arm and crushes it, blasting the head of the killing machine. Two other Ultron Sentinels would fire red colored beams which were blocked by the shields in the form of pixels which were all redirected back at the killing machines, destroying them. Five other Ultron Sentinels would surround them, teleporting in a circular tight formation, firing red concussion plasma beams that were instantly dodged by Astro Man who aimed his repulsor nodes and fired a continuous barrage at them all. More Ultron Sentinels were taking immediate notice of him. Floating Ultron Sentinels, the size of hovering jack-o-lantern faces, were now swarming towards him, firing their turrets on him. Astro Man would evade every single one of them with a little to medium difficulty, recalling all of his training and experiences before this moment, making use of all of his skills in order to survive, to control and let go of oneself, to find balance in a chaotic situation such as this.
As he aims his repulsor nodes and the automated turrets from his shoulders and wrists, he fires blue plasma beams that were hurled on the floating Ultron Sentinel faces, destroying every single one that dared cross his path. Two 18 ft. tall silver chrome Ultron Sentinels would suddenly teleport from his position, aiming their aim-cannons at him.
"You have been deemed hazardous. Termination authorized."
Astro Man dodges each of the red colored beams that were hurled his way, moving his head from one side, bending from another side as he dodges more beams that were hurled his way, teleporting instantly as he shoots one Ultron Sentinel in the back, destroying it before destroying the other one, with orange explosions to accompany it.
"You have been deemed hazardous. Termination authorized."
More Ultron Sentinels were teleporting towards him in droves, before suddenly getting crushed and exploded by Astro Man, who clenches his right fist, performing an esper feat of psychokinesis.
At that point, Astro Man would use the repulsor node from his feet that would automatically propulsion system which would allow him to fly at supersonic speeds, aiming his hands forward and firing blue repulsor plasma beams upon the enemy, hitting them with everything he had while dodging the red concussion plasma beams that were sent his way by the Ultron Sentinels. But with every Ultron Sentinel that he took down, more would begin to come in countless droves.
All of this were seen while the scenes keep switching back and forth in order for the audience to catch up with what is happening from the air and from the ground.
"You have been deemed hazardous. Termination authorized."
Multiple Ultron Sentinels, with the color scheme of silver, would try to surround Astro Man, only to teleport from one place to another, destroying them by raising his hands in a cross position before lowering it in a cross-like fashion, instantly cutting many of the Ultron Sentinels down before exploding into nothing. He would begin to raise a couple of boulders of cement and asphalt created from the damaged streets below, separate them into many pieces and throw them like bullets upon many of the Ultron Sentinels from within his line of sight, killing them instantly, being hit from their vital spots as a result.
Astro Man would see an esper trying his best to defend himself from the Ultron Sentinels, located on one of the damaged streets, using the power of pyrokinesis to instantly try to fry them, only for the Ultron Sentinels to shrug the flames off and try to kill the esper, only for Astro Man to intercept immediately, producing a shield-like barrier that reflected the red concussion plasma blasts and hurled it back at the enemy, destroying many of them. He would turn back towards the esper who was surprised to see him. He would shout for him to "Go! Get ouf of here!", with the esper instantly complying as he runs for his life while Astro released a psychokinetic shockwave that managed to send many of the Ultron Sentinels flying, buying time for the esper to make his escape.
After making sure that the esper is safe, Astro Man would eventually went back to flight mode, flying to the skies as he dodges red concussion plasma beams that were aimed towards him.
Many of the Ultron Sentinels, carrying gold and silver chrome color scheme, were now flying fast at hypersonic speeds as they try to intercept Astro Man, only for him to break for it as he almost instantly gets hit by them, fighting through them with extreme mid-tier difficulty as he could only land a few hits that destroyed some of them before diving straight to the ground in order not to get overwhelmed, using the esper power of teleportation to land to the ground in safety before making circular gestures with his hands and stomped the ground with his own two feet, kicking the artificially made boulders that managed to knock down other Ultron Sentinels present on the ground.
At that point, he would begin to make a run for it as the Ultron Sentinels carrying gold and silver color schemes would chase him down. Teleporting inside to a nearby building, he managed to buy himself a short amount of time in order to plan for his next move. He would eventually make use of the rooms of the building, scanning them all through the use of his visor, eventually using the objects present in the room such as office desks, supplies and other pieces of hardware to be thrown at the Ultron Sentinels that were now chasing after him, providing him with another good distraction that made him escape once again, exiting from one building and taking out a bunch of silver chrome Ultron Sentinels that were aiming their aim-cannons at him and went to another building.
The same few steps here and there, and he would finally make use of the opportunity to perform multiple takedowns that managed to destroy the Ultron Sentinels that were chasing him, using a few corners for passage and throwing a couple of objects that provided a distraction such as automobiles and dumpsters, aiming his timed takedowns to the head, being deemed the weakest spot, decapitating many of the Ultron Sentinels that were chasing him with ease through the use of two light-based swords of sharp preciseness that materialized from his hands.
He would begin to make use of these swords to perform hypersonic takedowns that managed to decapitate several Ultron Sentinels that were nearby, killing many of them instantly and managing to save a few civilians that were trying to flee.
Those who were watching were shocked, the Children and Feather most especially, even Hyoubu most especially, were shocked beyond belief.
Was this really Koichi Minamoto? Surely there has to be a mistake, right? There's no way this could be him?
Questions arise, and yet even more questions that produce unsatisfying conclusions.
Then the glitch suddenly vanishes, the surrounding area returning to normal as everyone would notice the meeting room once again.
"..."
Everyone would begin to look at each other in bewilderment and concern, wondering as to what did they just saw. It didn't felt like hypnosis. It felt off for sure but it didn't seem to be an esper ability that did it.
Both Hyoubu and Tsubomi would look towards each other, sporting grim expressions on their faces.
It would appear that there was more to this "future" than meets the eye if what had happened was any indication.
"Well now..."
At that moment, a flash of blue light was present, revealing two figures.
An old man with grandfatherly features, showing black hair with grey sides and wrinkles, wearing a white lab coat that has brown and black pouches, and gold trim, and underneath, he wears a black turtleneck with a white scarf, and his brown vest has gold buttons and pouches. He wears a pair of goggles with green lenses around his neck. There was a significant metal gauntlet - Chrono Navigator - that now forms his right hand which is an extremely powerful technology that allows its user to travel through space and time throughout the Known and Unknown Multiverse. It once resembled an ordinary pocket watch. However, due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding a conflict that had spread throughout space-time and eternity, it had to be camouflage as as a prosthetic for the right arm for safekeeping. There was a fingerless glove on his left hand. He wears black pants with brown kneepads. He wears a pair of brown boots with gold straps. He has a staff that he holds with his left hand which is designed for a variety of known and unknown purposes.
Professor Paradox.
Accompanied alongside him was a young man with lavender hair who wears a periwinkle-colored jacket that reaches his waist with a logo on the left sleeve, with a long red scarf around his neck, dark gray pants, and pale-green boots with black tips.
"It would appear that things have become quite complicated shall we say," Professor Paradox spoke with a grim smile.
Everyone would eventually take notice of him as they turn towards him, with many sporting expressions of shock and caution.
"Y-You! How did you two get here?!," Kiritsubo pointed towards the seeming intruders that suddenly teleported out of nowhere.
"Who are you?!," Sakaki exclaimed, grabbing his gun from his inner pocket and aiming it at the two individuals.
Magi, Kanō, and Fujiura were taking battle positions immediately, narrowing their eyes at the seeming intruders that suddenly teleported out of nowhere.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Calm yourselves, everyone!," Future Trunks raised his hands in waving reassuring gestures, sporting an expression of reassurance and concern, trying his best to reassure everyone. "We're not here to pick a fight. We're old friends of Minamoto-san."
"Eh?," everyone exclaimed in shock.
"Minamoto! You two know him?!," Kaoru asked, sporting a quizzical expression of caution and concern as she looks back at Professor Paradox and Future Trunks.
"You might say so, my dear, considering the fact that I was his teacher back in the day," Professor Paradox smiled happily, recalling the important bond that he had with Minamoto as one of his most prized students.
"Eh? His teacher?," the Children all exclaimed, looking towards the old man with curiosity.
Koichi Minamoto's past was quite the mystery for the Children to solve from time to time. Hints and pieces here and there. The fact that his father was a travelling businessman while his mother was a simple housewife. The fact that he was considered as a child genius estimated to possess an IQ between 250 and 300, being capable of feats of discovering and solving scientific and mathematical problems on the fly that could practically made even modern scientists of their day shake and scratch their heads, but as a consequence was sent to Comerica to attend special lessons for being a little too smart. Eventually somewhere down the line, he met Shūji Sakaki during his university days, eventually developing a friendship that lasted even unto the present day. They also know that women tended to get attracted to him, much to their constant ire and jealousy.
But this...? This was something else entirely...
"Now hold on just a minute!,' Sakaki exclaimed as he looked towards both Professor Paradox (especially) and Future Trunks with suspicion and a narrowed expression, lowering his gun slowly but still keeping on guard. "His teacher? Old man, I've known Minamoto since our university days. I know every teacher he went under. You? I've never seen you before in my life, and Minamoto certainly didn't really tell me about you in particular."
"As much as I would like to answer all of your questions, Sakaki-sensei, my young ladies," Professor Paradox, sporting a sad smile that was grim, looked meaningfully towards the Children and Feather, who also took notice of him as they payed close attention. "Everyone," he raised the Chrononavigator, looking to it with a grim sense of forewarning, ones that were instantly noted by Hyoubu, Tsubomi, the Children, Feather, and everyone else. "Time is quite literally of the essence and we need to focus on other important matters, ones that could relate to the fate of your universe and several others as you know it."
"Hah?," Sakaki looked bewildered as much as everyone who was either narrowing their eyes in concern or tilting their heads in confusion. "What do you mean by that, old man?"
"That machine that you saw from the projection screen and through the sudden change of scenery that you all had before we revealed ourselves to you all," Future Trunks simply explained in Professor Paradox's place.
"...?"
By machine, Professor Paradox would meant the one that they all saw from the projection screen and the "glitch" that they had experienced from earlier. The one that killed the Future Koichi Minamoto and the Future Kaoru Akashi. The one who taken the powers and abilities of the Queen of Catastrophe and used it to full effect. The one who had an army of machines at his beck and call, delivering a swift divine judgment upon their entire world. Then there was a young Koichi Minamoto fighting this same army with mid-tier difficulty.
The identity of the monster itself. The expressions from both Professor Paradox and Future Trunks. They all made the connection. These people knew who or what this monster this is. Because of one simple fact. They had met him before.
"His name is Ultron in case you were all wondering," Future Trunks said grimly. "And I'm afraid that your timeline, whether the future or the past, is in danger because of him."
"Which is precisely why the important people who are needed in this world must be gathered here for this day, for now is the time for all of you to unite as one, for I fear that the tides of fate are now bringing us all a step closer to a domino that is now about to fall once again," Professor Paradox explained grimly.
