Chapter 1
Magnolia, Kingdom of Fiore...
It was a quiet and cool spring night in a forest on the outskirts of Magnolia. The sky was starry, no clouds, calm winds stirred the treetops, but this lull was about to be shaken.
Dark clouds began to form over the forest, strong, howling winds blew hard, causing branches and trunks to shake violently and break. More and more dark cloud cover was thickening more and more. Lightning began to fall one after the other until several rays formed spinning around the storm. It was as if the earth was falling through the event.
From the middle of this storm, a hole began to open between the clouds and a strong white light illuminated the space left by the clouds clearing the entire surrounding area. That's when an object came out of the middle of this light and this storm, crashing violently into the ground. Just as the storm came, it dissipated, and the lull returned to the forest.
The next day, an elderly, short-statured man strolled through the forest, Makarov Dreyar. I was squeeathing, wanting to relax from the bustle of the Guild and the last events that took place in the kingdom.
"Sometimes taking a break from that guild is good. How agitated those kids are! " he thought." Now with the end of the war against Alvarez, I think we can finally have peace. Even more so that Zeref and Acnologia were defeated."
Makarov looked up at the clear sky, felt the warmth of sun on his face, and sighed. "Finally a moment of tranquility. Now guilds can do what they've always done. Missions, help people, add wizards and make friends. They will be a place for friendships and adventures. "
He kept walking, until he noticed a smoke in the distance. "A fire!" he thought. "No. If the smoke would be more intense. So what's it going to be?"
Makarov headed to the scene as fast as he could in order to verify what was happening. When he arrived at the scene, the vision he had made him alarmed. A stretch of forest was all destroyed, trees uprooted, branches broken, trees overturned on top of each other. He crossed this field carefully in difficulty.
Arriving at the center what he saw the shafted with his mouth open and more alarmed yet. There was a crater and at the bottom of it was a man, lying unconscious. He was seriously injured, there were cuts and blood everywhere.
The master of the Fairy Tail guild came down the slope easier, taking care not to slip or drop any stone along the way and went to the man. He tried to call, but the subject did not answer, he checked and noticed that he was still alive, despite the damage he had suffered.
"What happened here? How did he get here? And as he is still alive with all these injuries," he thought stunned and looking at the whole situation around.
"Well, there's no time for that now. I have to take him to Porlyusica. She's the only one who can save him now. Then we look for answers." Makarov held the injured man by the arm in the best way he could, without worsening his injuries, as he was much lower than the injured.
With great difficulty, he managed to take him to Porlyusica, which was not far away.
Four days have passed since Makarov took him to Porlyusica, and the man remained unconscious, but his wounds had healed almost completely. Porlyusica was sitting at a table on the opposite side of the bed where he was lying, seeing and preparing potions with herbs facing a window, from where a light would light up the entire room.
That's when eyes began to open slowly. He saw everything blurry, not being able to focus on anything, his body was quite sore and could not move properly. The lying man waited for his vision to improve a little, which took some time to get used to, so he noticed, looking around, that he was in a room, which was made of wood. There were many jars, herbs and shelves, with countless objects and books that he had no idea what they were.
"Where the hell am I?" he thought. "What is this place and what am I doing here?" He didn't know what was going on until he saw what appeared to be a woman of a certain age sitting across the room, facing the window. He struggled to move her body so that she did not notice, not wanting to draw attention, at least not yet.
Slowly and quietly he sat on the bed, moved his toes, then moved his feet, passing to his hands and arms and finally his neck. Seeing that his movements had returned as well as his motor coordination he rose.
"Hey!" spoke loudly to Porlyusica, who turned frightened and saw the figure of the man standing throwing at her a serious look. "What is this place? What am I doing here? And who are you? "speaking in earnest and cold tone, almost menacingly, was with closed fists, ready for anything.
Porlyusica looked at him in a frightened way, it was very difficult for someone, or something to scare her, but that man was different. The way he looked and the energy he was transmitting, cold and hostile, made her nervous.
At this moment, the door opened and Makarov entered. The two turn to him, the man entering combat form, ready to attack the old bass, almost automatically.
"Hey, calm down, young man!" Makarov raises his hands in defense form, not showing himself a threat to him. The guy retracts, but maintains a defensive posture.
"Who are you? And what am I doing here? " he asks again.
"I am Makarov Dreyar and this is Porlyusica. I found you not far from here in a crater. You were badly hurt, so I brought you here. " He said with his hands still in front, not showing himself to be a threat.
The man cast a slightly wide-eyed look, showing surprise. "A crater!" he thought. Then his gaze got serious again. "And why here?" he asked.
"Porlyusica is the best healer we have, she would surely heal you."
"You should thank me human," Porlyusica said.
The man turned his eyes to her in an angry manner, which made Makarov tremble.
"We are not your enemies, we just help you," Makarov said, trying to calm the mood.
"We tell you who we are, now it's your turn," Porlyusica told the man.
The man looked at them from top to bottom, looked around the room, as if analyzing the location and the situation he was in and processing the information. This took a few seconds, until he fixed his cold eyes on those of Porlyusica, remaining for a few more seconds. It seemed like forever to her. Then he switched to Makarov, he could feel a huge, threatening energy coming from him. It worried him, it was not common for someone with such an energy and with such intensity, however his energy was appeasing, until Makarov no longer felt a threat. It made him sigh with relief.
"My name is Ryker."
"It's a pleasure Ryker. Could you enlighten us why you were in the middle of a crater?" asked Makarov.
"I have no idea, I'm sorry."
"Well, that's okay. And where are you from? "
"By far, I suppose. I'm not familiar with a place like this. "
"And how did you get here?"
Ryker turned for her and he stopped and thought for a while. "There was a light. All I know is I got sucked in by her and woke up here. That's all I know. "
The guild master put his hand on his chin in thoughtful form. "Maybe you got caught up in some kind of space magic or something.
"Yes, maybe. But I don't think I can go back to my home. I don't know where I am and I have no idea how to get back. "
"Well, I can say you're in Magnolia, in the Kingdom of Fiore, young man." Makarov said with a smile.
"I've never heard of it," he replied disdainly, crossing his arms over his bare chest.
"Ahn!? Well you must be from very far even," Makarov said smiling and with one hand behind his head. "Well, you seem to have magic power, so why don't you accompany me to my guild, I'm the Master there."
"What?" Porlyusica said amazed looking at Makarov. "Do you want to take him to the guild?"
"Why not? If he accepts, he can help us a lot and I believe we can help him too. "
Ryker was looking confusedly at the two of them, not understanding what they were talking about and what a guild was about. "What the hell is a guild?" he asked.
Both Porlyusica and Makarov turned to him with wide-eyed and surprised eyes. "Don't you know what a guild is? Aren't there guilds where you come from? Makarov said.
Ryker looked annoyed at both of them with this question. "If I asked what a guild was it is obvious that I do not know, nor that there is this in my homeland."
"Ah... yes. Well, a guild is a place where wizards gather and we can do missions that are requested to us. That way we can make money. But more importantly, guilds are places to make true friends," Makarov said proudly.
Ryker was looking at Makarov and thought with himself for some time. "It seems like this guild thing is stupid, but I don't think I have much choice at the moment. What would be the other options in this place? I'll see what that can give, but it's best not to promise anything."
"All right, I'll go. But I promise nothing," he said.
"According, young man. You look good, so we can go today. "
"Okay!" He said how much he was going through the pockets of his military-style black pants. He ran his hand down his neck and began to shake. I was looking in every pocket I had and looking around where I was. "Where is it!?" he cried. "Where are my belongings?" he looked angrily.
"If you're referring to your necklace, the box and the crystal orb, they're here." Porlyusica said as she opened a drawer on a dresser next to the bed. She took the objects and handed them to Ryker, who abruptly removed it from her hands.
Then he immediately put on his necklace, which was a military dogtag, the orb and the box shoved it into his pocket as quickly as possible, and sighed with relief.
"We take it off to treat you better and not to lose," Porlyusica said.
"Thank you." Ryker said looking at her. "They're very important."
"Here, take it. This t-shirt I picked up with my grandson, it should fit you. "Makarov said handing a black T-shirt to Ryker, who was missing nothing on the top of his body. Who dressed immediately and thanked the master. "If you're willing and have all your stuff we can leave, yes?"
"I'm ready. We can go to your... guild. "
"Makarov? I want to talk to you a little first." said Porlyusica.
"Ahn!? Oh, yes, that's fine. Ryker wait for me outside, yes? I'll be right back. "
"As you wish." replied Ryker as he left Porlyusica's house.
"What do you want, Porlyusica?"
"Are you sure about that? You don't know anything about him. I mean, you saw it, didn't you? The marks on his body. They weren't any marks, nor were they made recently. Especially the mark on his left chest. "
"Yes I noticed. I think something really bad happened to him. It also looks like he's faced a lot of battles. But he doesn't strike me as a bad person, and that's what Fairy Tail is for. Help those in need. "
"One day you'll still burn with it." Porlyusica replied "But if that's what you want, There's nothing I can do."
"Hahaha... I'm going to keep an eye on him. Sometimes you worry too much Porlyusica. "
"Just don't bring me any more humans here."
"You may leave." Makarov said as he headed out.
"Hi! We can go now," Makarov told Ryker, who was waiting for him outside Porlyusica's house with his arms folded.
"It's about time." They started walking. "So Makarov? What's this guild of yours like? "
"When we get there you will see." said Makarov with a broad smile.
