Chaos, destruction and evil, these were connections which linked the heroes of the Digital World.
From the Digidestined facing Devimon and up to the second generation forming as a new team and working as one to combat the darkness of Myotismon restored, the Chosen Digidestined and their partners had been keeping both their world and the Digital World protected from evil.
It had been over six years since MaloMyotismon had been vanquished, and the Digital World had found a sense of peace and tranquility to it, with the exception of the occasional wild and mischievous Digimon, bringing a little disorder to the regions, only for the Digidestined to taking time out of their normal lives to quickly put an end to their rampage.
Currently, within the streets of Odiaba, a familiar pair of Digidestined, alongside their partners, were on their way to one of their homes after school, happily chatting and laughing with one another.
These were the now eighteen year old Davis Momotiya, the Digidestined of Miracles, escorted by the eighteen year old Kari Kamiya, the Digidestined of Light.
And with all their efforts, their partners, Veemon and Gatomon, were happily walking by their sides, no longer having to hide themselves less their appearances bring unwanted fear.
"That was a great game today, Davis, you really shined out there." Kari said to the boy next to her, expressing a friendly smile upon her face as the duo continued their walk, which grew as Davis blushed lightly and replied. "Nah, the whole team was what shined out there today."
"You can't spell team with an I." Veemon commented, sharing his partner's support.
"I know you've changed over the years but please, you don't have to be modest all the time, Davis, take the compliment." Gatomon then chimed in, her words causing all four to laugh lightly as they continued to venture through Odiaba, enjoying their company and the sights around them, seeing many Digimon now playing and working alongside the humans, rather than hide from their knowledge.
Four years earlier, TK had moved from Japan to France, but even before then, Davis and Kari seemed to grow even closer as friends, the pair seeming nearly inseparable and spending as much time with each other as possible, a connection Veemon and Gatomon seemed to share.
Looking out the corner of his eye, seeing Kari still laughing lightly, the maroon haired boy mentally sighed, but smiled nonetheless.
Taking in the appearance of the Digidestined of Light, the brunette had matured over the years, not just mentally, but physically as well, this left Kari looking even more beautiful in Davis' eyes than she had during their first few years of highschool.
His eyes remaining drawn to the brunette, Davis admired Kari, not only for her beauty, but to her outfit, finding that while the Digidestined of Light managed to maintain a familiarity in her clothing, she also showed maturity and elegance in her appearance, with the the Digidestined of Light now wearing a white and black patterned jacket over a pink top, while a pair of yellow shorts and thigh high white stockings adorned her legs.
Noticing her D-3 proudly attached to her belt, continuing to show herself as a Digidestined, Davis found himself blushing as his eyes looked Kari over, unintentionally overlooking her D-cup sized breasts, before quickly looking away before Kari noticed.
Despite having long ago stopped asking Kari out, believing she only saw him as a friend, Davis found his feelings for the brunette only growing and maturing over the years, changing from a childish crush and into much stronger feelings.
In the past few years, Kari had gone on from not only being one of the top students in their class, but also head of the Odaiba High cheer squad, even becoming one of the most popular girls in school, but this never changed the caring and friendliness that was the Digidestined of Light, who remained holding onto her dream of becoming a teacher, which caused Davis to mentally smile.
And like many, he was also surprised that Kari did not end up with TK, and took his move quite well.
But allowing the mistakes of his past to get the better of him, this left Davis thinking Kari would only see him as a friend, and he would never do anything to ruin the relationship he had with her.
However, had Davis looked back at Kari, he would've seen her checking him out with a mental sigh, and a dreamy smile.
She wasn't certain when it happened, perhaps before or after their fight with MaloMyotismon, but Kari found herself slowly falling head over heels in love with Davis Motomiya.
Like Kari, the maroon haired Digidestined had matured as well over the years, showing a further growth in terms of his maturity, which included him now thinking over ideas and strategies during conflicts, rather than run head first into the problems.
Davis had even ceased his arguments with Yolei and his long time rivalry with TK, devoting himself to being a true friend and showing his kindness within their friendship.
Kari found herself falling more and more for Davis as she admired his personality and traits, his confidence, his bravery, his selflessness and his continued faith in others continued to sway Kari's heart.
It also helped that Davis had grown physically as well, and was quite a sight.
Having seen Davis many times after his matches and training sessions, Kari had gotten many sights of seeing the maroon haired Digidestined without his shirt, showing her his well-developed chest, which often filled her dreams and fantasies.
His looks, along with being captain of the Soccer Team, had also caught the attention of many of the other girls in their school, making Davis the most sought after bachelor in their class.
Despite this, Davis ignored his growing fanclub, politely declining the affection as he focused on his soccer practices, his cooking lessons, his duties as a Digidestined and his friends, much to Kari's relief.
But as much as she wanted to be with Davis, to be his girlfriend and spend the rest of her life with him, the brunette found herself unable to confess her feelings, believing her own past had left the maroon haired Digidestined losing interest in her, now seeing her only as just a friend, instead of someone he would want to spend his life with.
And so, the brunette made sure to spend as much time with Davis as possible, hoping that maybe one day, he would once again see her in that light one final time, while enjoying being with him, even as just friends.
Looking at their partners, Veemon and Gatomon each sighed softly, the pair knowing how their partners each felt about the other, though not knowing how the other felt in reply, both even failing to realize that they too were in a similar situation.
Noticing the time via a television monitor set within an electronics shop, Davis then commented. "We should hurry up, otherwise Tai might start dinner without us, before Agumon eats the fridge."
Giggling at Davis' comment, mentally picturing Agumon shoveling food into his mouth straight out of their fridge, Kari nodded her head as the four picked up their pace, not knowing how quickly their lives would change soon.
-Meanwhile-
"I'm glad you both came by." Tai Kamiya, the Digidestined of Courage, said as he looked to the Digidestined of Love, Sora Takenouchi, and her partner, Biyomon, as they took a seat upon the Kamiya's couch, while Tai and Agumon continued to take out cooking utensils as the brunette added. "Kari and Davis should be here soon, and Davis is cooking."
"Those two are spending so much time together. I wonder when they'll finally stop dancing around the subject and ask each other out." Sora said in reply, supporting their friends, but also wanting them to finally express the love nearly everyone seemed to know about between the pair.
Stopping in his tracks, Tai looked back at Sora with a confused look as he asked. "Wait, what?"
Sora then gave Tai a deadpanned expression as she clarified for him. "Seriously? You don't see it? They are in love with each other."
"I thought Kari still liked TK." Tai confessed, this causing Sora to sigh as she brought her hand to her face, thinking with a small smile. 'Still as dense as ever, Tai.'
It had been nearly half a year since Sora and Matt ended their relationship on friendly terms, the pair seeing each other as more friends then lovers, leaving the orange haired girl free to go after whoever she desired.
However, despite this, Sora found herself unsure how to express herself to the one she truly loved, knowing how dense Tai could be at times, as the brunette even missed her own attempts to quietly let him know she wanted to be with him.
And supporting Sora, Biyomon remained quiet, keeping the feelings of her partner a secret, though deep down, she wished Sora had the heart to express her emotion.
Tai, meanwhile, found himself looking over Sora quickly, blushing lightly as he averted his eyes, hoping she didn't catch him checking her out, though Tai liked what he saw.
Currently, the twenty two year old Digidestined of Love was dressed in a light orange tank top, which stopped just over her toned, tanned stomach, which also showed off her smooth arms and DD-cup breasts, while a pair of jeans hugged her long legs, this left Sora looking as beautiful as ever in Tai's view
Mentally, the brunette kicked himself, feeling like a coward for still not being able to tell the girl he loved how he really felt, thinking similarly to Davis, that he too had missed his chance to be with the girl he loved.
Eventually, the door to the Kamiya's apartment then opened, with the sounds of laughter filling the living room, allowing Tai, Sora and their partners to see Kari, Davis, Veemon and Gatomon arrive.
And after what Sora told him, Tai actually started to see how close the pair were, and wasn't exactly sure how he felt about it.
While part of him trusted Davis deeply, having seen how mature and responsible he had become over the years, the fact that his little sister was interested in someone caused Tai's older brother instincts to kick in.
"About time you guys got here, I'm hungry!" Agumon said in joy, causing the rest of those in the room to laugh, before Davis and Veemon went into the kitchen to make another amazing meal for their friends.
An hour later, the four Digidestined and their Digimon sat at the table with satisfied looks on their faces after another amazing meal, courtesy of Davis' cooking skills.
"Wow, those cooking classes are really paying off, Davis." Sora commented with a smile, looking at Kari and smirking lightly, thinking of how the brunette would be treated to such meals every day if she could finally make Davis hers.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see how popular your noodle cart business will be." Kari added with a smile as she looked at Davis, who chuckled lightly and scratched the back of his head with a modest look on his face.
Now looking at his sister, however, Tai could see the shine in Kari's eyes as she looked at Davis, mentally groaning as he saw that she was indeed in love with Davis.
"Let me clean the dishes before we leave." Davis offered as he grabbed the plates and took them to the sink, finding Kari getting up and following.
"I'll help." She offered with a smile, keeping a respective distance to Davis as the pair gave the dishes a quick scrub.
A few moments later, Tai, Agumon, Sora and Biyomon watched as Davis, Kari, Veemon and Gatomon cleaned the dishes, with the two younger Digidestined chatting as Kari giggled at a light joke Davis told her.
Sora watched the scene with an amused smile, mentally trying to think of how she can help push the pair together finally, before her eyes shifted to Tai, seeing the look on his face as it finally dawned on him how Kari felt for Davis, where the Digidestined of Love also tried to think of ways to let Tai know she felt the same for him.
"Do you have to leave already?" Kari asked as the time spent with those close to her came to a near end, trying to avoid any desperation or depression in her voice.
"I was thinking we could watch a movie." The brunette then offered, the younger brunette wanting to spend more time with the boy of her dreams.
"Yeah, not a bad idea, I can get the popcorn going." Tai spoke up, both sharing a respect for his sibling and hoping that Sora would stay as well.
Both thinking about it, along with their partners, Davis and Sora started to think it might not be a bad idea.
However, before either could reply, a loud beeping sound caught the attention of the four Digidestined and their Digimon, where Tai, Kari, Davis and Sora withdrew their Digivices and D-3s, seeing that they were the source of the strange sound as the screens began to glow brightly.
"What the...?!" Tai started to say, before there was a flash of light from the Digivices, consuming the entire room.
When it faded, there was no sign of Tai, Kari, Davis, Sora or their Digimon, leaving the Kamiya residence empty.

With a loud cry, Davis landed on solid ground, before feeling several others land atop of him with equal cries, this leaving the maroon haired Digidestined to groan lightly at the familiar sensation when it came to traveling between the Real World and the Digital World.
Turning to look at who had landed upon him, Davis found his gaze met by a brunette with deep red eyes and yellow goggles set around his forehead, who shared a matching confusion.
It was then that memories that were suppressed came back to the forefront of Davis' mind, of him and the other Digidestined being summoned to another world, along with those like them from other worlds, to battle a powerful Digimon called Quartzmon, where they worked together with their new allies to stop the twisted minded Digimon, before being sent back to their time and dimension.
"Takato?" Davis asked in confusion, where the leader of the Digimon Tamers blinked back at him and asked in equal confusion. "Davis?"
Veemon, meanwhile, recognized the large, red Dinosaur-like Digimon whose back he had landed on, causing him to say apologetically. "Sorry about that, Guilmon."
"It's ok, Veemon. It's just nice to see you again." Guilmon replied in his usual friendly and child-like voice.
Confused herself, but more agile, Gatomon landed gracefully upon her feet, before looking downward to see that though she made a delicate landing, she was now standing atop the head of a familiar vixen Digimon.
"Sorry, Renamon." The Digimon of Light said apologetically as she jumped off of Renamon's head.
"No apologies necessary." The vixen replied understandingly.
Quickly getting up, Davis moved to help Kari back to her feet, the action appreciative within the Digidestined of Light's eyes.
But noticing another familiar face amongst them, Davis was a little surprised to see Rika Nonaka.
"Hey, Rika." Davis then said as he held out a hand, offering his kindness as to help her up.
However, from her position, Rika found herself frozen in place, the red haired Tamer's eyes widening upon seeing the Digidestined of Miracles once again.
But overcoming her confusion and awe, Rika took Davis' hand, saying as she rose. "Thank you, Davis."
With Kari and Rika back to their feet, Davis looked to see Takato helping a brunette he had never seen before, with her hair tied in a ponytail to the side.
"You ok, Jeri?" Takato asked the girl as he helped her back to her feet.
"Yes, thank you." Jeri replied with a warmth and kindness in her tone, acting on this friendliness as she gave Takato a small kiss on the cheek, the action causing the leader of the Tamers to blush a little.
"Marcus, get your elbow out of my face!" Tai suddenly yelled as he tried to get the DATS member off of him, who yelled back. "I'm trying, but Agumon's in the way!"
"Will you guys just get off of me!" Takuya Kanbara, the Legendary Warrior of Fire, yelled from beneath the pair and their Agumon, while nearby, Zoe Orimoto, Yoshi Fujieda, Sora, Lalamon and Biyomon tried not to laugh too hard at the sight playing out before them.
Though concerned a little at the interactions between the boys, hoping none would lose their cool and engage an unnecessary fight, looking past Tai and the others, Davis took note of Mikey Kudo and Tagiru Akashi, two of the heroes whose world they came to save, along with Shoutmon and Gumdramon, helping up the brown haired girl that was with their group, Nene Amano, to her feet.
Taking a moment to see who was among them, Davis quickly realized that all the "heroes", as the Old Clock Shop man called them, were present, along with at least one girl from each of their respective groups.
But as the group realized who was around them, an unfamiliar voice caught their attention, where they heard someone yell. "What was that?! So not groovy!"
Looking over, the group saw three humans they had never seen before, alongside who they guessed were their Digimon-like partners.
Looking toward the group, Davis and the others took in the appearance of one of the boys, who had green hair and a pair of goggles set around his head, guessing he was the leader of this new Digimon group.
Beside the possible leader was a pink haired girl, who looked to be the strong and fighting type, a young and cute looking girl who was clad in a simple white top, alongside a pair of shorts.
Although her outfit was fairly simple, it didn't take anything away from her continued beauty.
But before the pink haired girl could examine the situation around her, taking notice of the others staring at her, hearing a groan beneath her, the pink haired girl blushed, embarrassed to see another of her friends had unintentionally been used to break her fall.
Looking over the boy, his appearance was a little unusual within Davis' eyes, an opinion shared by the other Digi-heroes as they took in the blond, seeing the boy was a few years younger than his friends, with his outfit including a brown vest set over a black t-shirt, a pair of yellow shorts and a black cap set with a metallic-like plating at the front.
"Astora!" The girl let out, expressing embarrassment and sympathy to the position of her friend, keeping her apology as she was removed from atop the whisker faced blond, puzzling those present to see a small blue creature with metal arms the source of the girl's retreat, seeing the creature not only remove his supposed partner from off of the boy, but now hold her above his head, as if trying to make sure everyone acknowledged her.
"It's ok, Eri." Astora groaned in reply as he tried to stand up, being helped by what appeared to be his partner, a small, yellow Digimon, which had an extra set of arms for ears and a techno vibe to its appearance, namely to the large headphones set over its head and its speaker set vest
It was then that Davis and the others saw a small white creature, with claw-like hands and a red helmet, set with a magnifying glass now examining them, where his eyes looked at Tai and Marcus' Agumon and commented. "Hey, aren't those Agumon, Haru? Like from that old game of yours?"
At this, Davis, Tai, Sora, Kari and their partners' eyes twitched lightly, while Takato held in a laugh, remembering how Kazu and Kenta drove the Digidestined crazy by telling them that their adventures and lives were TV shows and card games in their world.
The green haired boy, Haru, looked at the other humans and their partners, before exclaiming excitedly. "They're Digimon!"
"Digimon?" The pink haired girl, Eri, let out in clear confusion, before adding as she asked. "Are they like Appmon?"
'Appmon?' The group thought with a shared puzzlement toward the new heroes, before Shoutmon shook his head and asked. "Ok, hold on a minute! First, does anyone know how we got here and where we are?"
"Wait, you don't?" Rika asked with concern as she looked around, seeing that they were in the middle of a large forest area.
If the Digimon King didn't know where they were, then things were worse than expected.
It was then, however, that a rusling of bushes caught everyone's attention, where the Digimon and Appmon quickly sprang into action, hoping to take out any potential threat before they could harm their partners.
"Hold it!" Kari suddenly called, the command causing Guilmon to come to a complete stop, which caused Shoutmon, Gumdramon, both Agumon and the Appmon to crash into him as they fell into another dog pile, while Renamon and Gatomon leaped away, the feline pulling Veemon with her, as Biyomon and Lalamon remained hovering in the air.
"Not again..." Shoutmon whined, before looking to see Kari walk past them and slowly toward the bush.
"It's ok, we're not going to hurt you." The Digidestined of Light soothed as she moved the bushes aside, where the group saw a scared Digimon hiding within, one none had ever seen before.
Resembling a small, bipedal red lizard, the Digimon had big, yellow eyes like Guilmon, but was wearing a red and black robe over his body, along with a hat that looked like an old wizard's hat.
Taking out his D-Power, Takato tried to bring up information on this Digimon, only to look surprised at what he saw.
"Novicmon, Rookie... Ok, that's all it's giving me." The brunette told the others, the words and actions of Takato causing the others to look at him in confusion.
Novicmon, meanwhile, looked in awe at those before him, especially seeing the beautiful smile on the female before him, easing his nerves, a sight that caused Davis, Tai, Sora, their partners and Gatomon to smile at seeing the effect Kari has on others.
However, a look of fear returned to the new Digimon as he said in a fearful voice. "It's... It's not you I'm hiding from..."
It was then that more rustling was heard, causing the group to turn behind them, where nearly a dozen large Digimon came out of the forest and into the clearing.
And from their appearances, the heroes could tell these newcomers meant trouble.
Each looked like a bipedal, black furred wolf, holding a set of menacing red eyes, while their beings were covered in a dark purple metal, running along their arms, up to their clawed hands, torsos, legs to their feet and slightly over their heads as they snarled at the group.
Looking at the foes, Davis and the others noticed a half crescent moon on their chests, a symbol of sorts, before Rika took her D-Power out, wanting to know what these were.
"DarkWolfmon, Champion Level... Dang it, no more information either!" The redhead let out in frustration, looking to see their new enemy ready to attack.
Though many remained with questions, the Digimon and the Appmon moved before their partners, drawing defensive stances, with Takuya and Zoe gripping their D-Tectors as the DarkWolfmon continued to glare them down.
"Jeri, stay back." Takato said as he remained in front of the brunette, keeping a protective stance against the snarling Digimon.
Despite being afraid, Jeri nodded back in reply, trusting Takato and their friends.
It was then that one of the DarkWolfmon, with a crescent moon on top of his helmet, clearly the pack's leader, let out a loud howl, setting the rest of the dark Digimon off as they began rushing towards the heroes.
"Let's take these creeps out!" Marcus yelled in retaliation as he charged toward the DarkWolfmon pack, the brunette drawing his Digivice as his Agumon, Tai's Agumon, Guilmon, Renamon, Biyomon and Lalamon were covered in spheres of light.
"Agumon Digivolve to... GeoGreymon!"
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to... Growlmon!"
"Renamon Digivolve to... Kyubimon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Lalamon Digivolve to... SunFlowmon!"
"Zoe!" Takuya called, grabbing the attention of the Warrior of Wind as he suggested. "Let's help out!"
Nodding to Takuya's words, Zoe withdrew her D-Tector alongside the Warrior of Flame, where both prepared themselves for battle.
"Execute, Spirit Evolution!" The pair cried out as they were consumed in cocoons of Data, emerging a moment later in their Human Spirit forms as they cried in unison. "Agunimon/Kazemon!"
However, upon completing their transformations, both Legendary Warriors felt something was off, as if their power wasn't what it was supposed to be, this causing Kazemon to look at Agunimon and say. "Agunimon, something's not right with me..."
"I feel it as well, but we'll figure it out later, once we take care of these guys." Agunimon said back, feeling a similar lack in terms of their power, but knew he had to focus on keeping his allies protected.
Meanwhile, Davis and Kari reached for their D-Terminals, in order to Armour Digivolve Veemon and Gatomon, to add their own power to their side.
But upon reaching for them, the pair found the devices missing, much to their surprise.
"Wait... did we leave them behind?" Kari asked in concern, the question left Davis shaking his head, remembering having his Digivice upon his person as he replied. "It's more like they didn't travel with us."
"Even if we can't Armour Digivolve, we need to help in one way or another!" Veemon pointed out, getting a nod from his partner as he took out his D-3, causing Veemon to glow for a moment.
"Veemon Digivolve to... ExVeemon!" The Digimon of Miracles bellowed, altering from his small dragon-like frame and into his larger and more draconic form.
"Gatomon!" Kari then called toward her partner as she held out her D-3, causing Gatomon to nod as she started to yell out." Gatomon Digivolve to..."
However, unlike the others, Gatomon didn't feel the energy she normally held in order to Digivolve, something the others noticed and found themselves concerned with.
"You good, Gatomon?" Mikey asked, seeing the feline Digimon still in her Champion form, and yet to access her Ultimate form, Angewomon.
"I... I don't know..." Gatomon confessed in reply, before clenching her fists as she looked at the DarkWolfmon and said. "But I can still kick their asses as I am now!"
Nodding back and confident in their allies, Mikey and Tagiru took out their Fusion Loaders as both Shoutmon and Gumdramon glowed with light, Digivolving to their superior forms.
"Shoutmon Digivolve to... OmniShoutmon!"
"Gumdramon Digivolve to... Arresterdramon!"
Upon seeing the various Digimon altering their appearances and sensing their levels of power increasing, though there was a growing side to Gatchmon, which wanted to know the phenomenon, but deciding to fight and then get his answers, the search Appmon, Gatchmon looked over to his partner with a determined expression.
"Let's help too, Haru!" The search Appmon then said, causing the boy to nod as he reached for the Appmon chips, but found that aside from Gatchmon's App Chip, the others were missing.
And finding themselves in a similar position, Eri and Astora found the only Chips stored within their Appmon bands were Dokamon and Musimon respectively.
Concerned for her Appmon friends and their new allies, Eri asked aloud. "What?! Where are the others?!"
"I have no idea, Eri-chan, but we need to help them!" Dokamon said in reply, wanting to help fight, and leave the questions for after, leaping into the fray with Musimon behind him, while Gatchmon quickly chased after the pair.
Despite their size, Gatchmon, Dokamon and Musimon showed their power, the trio fighting close together as they took on a single DarkWolfmon.
"Gatch Claw!"
"Big Bang Punch!"
"Music Hour!"
Through their calls, Gatchmon and Dokamon closed in, delivering a set of powerful punches toward the DarkWolfmon, throwing the Dark Digimon back and allowing Musimon to fire off a blast of multi-coloured energy from off his arms and ears, showing the Digimon their power, skill and their teamwork.
But looking to see the DarkWolfmon pack remaining strong, Gatchmon and the other Appmon knew they had a fair fight to go before they could celebrate.
Striking in a show of fury, three of the DarkWolfmon leapt into the fray, their right claws glowing with a dark purple light as they shot toward their opponents.
But working as a team , Greymon, GeoGreymon and ExVeemon got in their way, using their horns to block their attacks, though straining lightly as they felt the energy behind the attack as they pushed them back.
"Nova Blast!"
"Mega Flame!"
"V Laser!"
The three Digimon bellowed with might as they unleashed their unique attacks upon the DarkWolfmon, who howled in pain as the flames and energy blast consumed their beings, causing the DarkWolfmon pack to fade and dissolve away into Data particles.
"Lightning Paw!"
"Pyro Blaster!"
"Fox Tail Inferno!"
"Meteor Wing!"
"Sunshine Beam!"
Remaining strong and acting as a team, the series of attacks rained down on the DarkWolfmon who shielded themselves from the various fire attacks, before being punched by Gatomon's right hook.
Enraged, the lead DarkWolfmon and those close to him gathered air into their lungs, before letting out a loud howl in the direction of the heroes, sending out a shockwave that caused most to shield themselves from the intensity, with the humans holding on and trying not to be blown away.
It was then that Davis saw one of the DarkWolfmon leaping towards Kari, its jaw open wide and ready to sink its fangs clean through the Digidestined of Light.
Acting on his desire to ensure Kari's safety, the maroon haired Digidestined quickly grabbed a broken branch that was nearby, shoving it into the beast's mouth and wedging it open, much to the Dark Digimon's discomfort.
"Marcus!" Davis then yelled out, where not even a moment later, the auburn haired DATS member quickly slugged the DarkWolfmon in the face, sending him stumbling back a few feet.
"Pyro Punch!"
"Roseo Temporale!"
Both Agunimon and Kazemon rushed at the dazed DarkWolfmon, delivering a set of powerful strikes upon their foe, sending the beast flying into the air as it too dissolved into Dark Data.
Meanwhile, OmniShoutmon and Arrestedramon found themselves surrounded by six of the DarkWolfmon, where the Digimon King called out to his partner. "Mikey, we could use some help here!"
"Right." Mikey said in reply as he went to use his Fusion Loader, to call upon Ballistamon and the others, but found a dread feeling overtaking him, finding his Fusion Loader empty.
"Where... where are the others?" The Fusion Fighter's General questioned himself, before Tagiru let out in shock. "What the heck? My Fusion Loader's empty! What happened to my team?!"
"What?!" Arresterdramon let out, expressing his own bewilderment.
Against the DarkWolfmon and without their Fusion Fighter allies, Mikey, OmniShoutmon, Tagiru and Arresterdramon knew their fight would be tougher, but a familiar light then caught their attention, looking to see Nene withdraw her Fusion Loader and point it toward the DarkWolfmon.
"Madness Merry-go-round DX!" The voice of Mervamon announced with a familiar might as the amazoness Digimon emerged from the Fusion Loader and attacked.
Spinning her body around as she moved in, Mervamon struck through the DarkWolfmon with her sword and snake arm, breaking the DarkWolfmon in her path into Data as she cleared out those around her friends.
When Mervamon was done with her attack, she looked upon her partner and told Nene with clear worry. "I'm not sure what's going on, but Sparrowmon and the Monitamon are all missing."
"What?!" Nene asked in concern as she looked at her Fusion Loader, seeing that it was indeed empty, before seeing Mervamon stumble to her right knee, concerning OmniShoutmon and Arresterdramon, where the pair rushed to her side, the Digimon King asking in concern. "You alright?"
"No... I feel drained... What is this place?" Mervamon asked in wonder, feeling that this was not the Digital World she was used to.
"We'll figure that out soon. Let's mop up the rest of these creeps!" Arresterdramon said in reply, getting a nod from the other two as they rushed at the DarkWolfmon.
"Twin Fireball Strike!"
"Mach Flicker!"
"Final Strike Roll!"
As the heroes battled the dark Digimon, Novicmon continued to watch in absolute awe, wondering who these Digimon and the creatures with them were to be able to take on the DarkWolfmon.
Through their continued efforts and their teamwork, only the pack leader remained, who held a worried and confused look upon his face to see his pack defeated, before looking to see the heroes now looking at him.
Sweating nervously, but keeping his fangs bare, the DarkWolfmon turned and rushed in the opposite direction on all fours, leaving the heroes to smile at their victory, before seeing the Digimon reverting back to their normal forms.
"Ok, what were those guys?" Tai's Agumon asked in wonderment, where the De-Digivolved Shoutmon slumped to his rear as he caught his breath and replied in a tired voice. "I have no idea. I've never seen Digimon such as them in our Digital World before."
"Digital World?" A soft voice asked in an inquisitive voice, catching the group's attention as they all looked at Novicmon, who tilted his head in confusion as he then said. "This isn't the Digital World, this is Witchelny..."

Author's Note: New story, new adventure.
A fair warning, this will be my take on the infamous side dimension of the Digital World, so it shall deviate from already written lore, but still have elements already known.
Also, updates will be slower than my past stories, but will be worth the wait.
