AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello everyone! I have never written a fanfic before, so please be easy on me. I have already mapped out the plot to this fic to be 20 or more chapters. My goal is to post a chapter every week. This fic will include many different ships. I will be exploring mostly Lyon x Juvia vs Gray x Juvia with Gajeel x Levy canon right away, but later on more ships will start to sail... I can't give away too much yet!

I also do want to note that I switched some of the ages of the characters around. I know most of the actual characters are not too far off in age from another, plus the Tenrou Island arc timeskip also skewed it.

Juvia, Lyon, Daphne, Gray, Ultear, & Anyone else in their class are all 17-18 in this. Meredy in this story is the same age as she was the first time she was introduced in the show, so about 15-16. I aged up Gajeel and Levy, they're about 20something. Mirajane and Laxus are aged up to 30's. Makarov is like 60's. Anyone else who maybe added in will be mentioned later on :)

I do not own Fairytail or it's characters. Some of this storyline is inspired by the anime/k-drama Mischievous Kiss, but no worries I put my own twist in the story line! This is going to be a School AU, with a comedic Asian Drama feel :)

*English is not my first language, if you see any errors please let me know! I am always happy to learn.

As I comb through my long wavy ocean blue hair in front of the mirror, brushing out each knot for the 8th time today, I glance at my reflection to make sure I look presentable to any suitors that may approach me today. That is if they make it in. I don't have much else to do because I'm trapped in this huge empty jail of a castle.

In my lonesome I catch myself just staring into my reflection, staring into my deep blue eyes. I've been alone for so long that when I look at myself in the mirror my brain fools me into thinking my reflection is another person. How did I find myself in this position? Will I ever make my way out of this place? Can someone rescue me?

I hear the faint roaring from the fire breathing dragon outside of my castle. Was someone there? I ran over to my balcony to watch the commotion.

There he was, dashingly handsome and... shirtless? Oh hell yeah! He was on a white noble steed. The wind is catching his dark blue gorgeous long hair. His hand swipes through his locks to reveal his incredibly handsome face. Where do I even begin? He was the epitome of handsome. It wasn't just because of his strong body, his arms, his abs... he had a gorgeous face too.

His lips were curved with a smile that could make any woman faint. When he smiled I felt like my body was being lifted from the ground. His eyes were so captivating, I could make them out from miles away. I could stare into them for hours.

He approached my castle as I watched from afar. I have been waiting for a dashing charming prince to rescue me from my god forsaken tower of loneliness. I would never be able to free myself from my curse without the kiss of my true love to free me from my prison.

I can only watch helplessly as I see my Prince Charming fight his way into my castle, passing the moats and the monsters that guard him from me. This is where most of my suitors have failed me. I have every bit of hope as I watch each attempt but this one is different. He seems more capable.

He is the one. My beloved.

I hear a loud break in the locks.

"Is that you my beloved?" I say aloud in my room. I hear a knocking at my door. I unlock the door, waiting for him to come in. I see a shadowy figure approaching from the dark castle hallway.

Is he here to give me my kiss of freedom? I purse my lips waiting delicately for his lips to meet mine, I shut my eyes and lean in towards the door. I hear my darling's alluring voice drawing me in closer and closer. I can just hear him calling out to me...

"Juvia, my dear sweet, Juvia, I have been dreaming of this moment!" He began.

"So have I, with every fiber of my being!" My eyes twinkled as I opened my eyes imagining how handsome he must be up close, I want to gaze upon him as he continues where he left off...

"Did you do the Algebra homework?" His voice seems... more feminine up close? ... And a little familiar?

Huh?

I lift my head up from my desk, and I realize I must have dozed off. It was not My Beloved Sweet Prince, but my Pinkette Friend Meredy. I feel myself snap back to reality. Meredy was waiting for me to give her my copy of the homework. She usually copies off of Ultear, our other best friend, but she does not usually show up until halfway through the class day.

"Uh. Yeah I did. Here you go." I hand her my folder from my book bag. She goes back to her desk to fill in the answers quickly, "You are a lifesaver!" She says as she hands it back.

"Good Morning, Juvie-baby!" I turn around to the smell of garlic and onions sizzling hitting me in the face. I see my classmate Lyon with a spatula, a hot plate on his desk and a line of my classmates waiting with an empty plate, "I am cooking you up a morning breakfast of champions! How many eggs do you want with your rice, My Love?"

He runs over to grab my hand in an attempt to kiss it and I immediately yank it back. Lyon had a way with being a little too forward about his feelings towards me. Hell, not even a little. He comes on really strong, and no matter how many times I tell him I don't like him like that, he never seems to give up.

I don't have time to answer him back as Mr. Makarov, the school principal walks by. He probably was following the smell of garlic and onion that you could probably smell from his office. I was in Class B, and our classroom was infamously known for being the most delinquent class of our grade. We were essentially where the teachers would put you when they believed you were incapable of success. Mr. Makarov, for reasons unbeknown to me, has had it out for Lyon.

Lyon waves and says, "Good Morning Mr. Makarov! Do you want an egg?"

I could see the angry vein coming from his bald forehead, steam was practically coming out of his ears. Of course, it could've been the smoke from Lyon's fried rice.

"VASTIA MY OFFICE. NOW." He yelled at the top of his lungs.

Lyon shuts off his hot plate and groans, "Yes, Sir."

A round of sighs go around from my classmates that never got their food. Everyone in line disperses and waits for our teacher to come in at their desks.

Lyon drags his feet out the door, but passes my desk on the way there. He drops off a plate of fried rice and egg. I look closer and see the egg is in the shape of a heart. I looked back at Lyon who was just at the door and he winked at me on the way out.

"'Til we meet again, Juvie!" He lingers a little too long, looking at me like he had practically hearts for eyes.

I hear Mr. Makarov yell for Lyon again, "THAT IS ENOUGH VASTIA. TO DETENTION."

I hear Lyon reply from outside the hall, "Wow sir, your vein on your head got even bigger!"

... That moron, he will probably not be back until after Lunch for that comment. I pick up my spoon and start scooping a bite into my mouth. Lyon had boundary problems, but man he did know how to cook up a mean fried rice.

The teacher was late again, Miss Mirajane Strauss was a nice woman, but she really did not make a good teacher. I always assumed that because the school pretty much gave up on my class, they just saved the more academic and studious teachers for the better classes, like Class A. She was too easy to work around, especially with the group that she taught. She needed to be more strict. She was late to class almost everyday, and always has an excuse as to why she could never seem to be in class when she was supposed to be. Not that anyone actually cared if class started later than usual.

Speak of the devil, she came running frantically with random piles of papers in her arms, "Hi guys, I'm so sorry. I accidentally tripped coming outside of my car. I dropped all of your essays, not that most of you even turned them in, so I will just see if we can do an alternative assignment today!" She announced.

Ms. Strauss kept talking about something academic. Truthfully, I tuned out when she was speaking. I couldn't shake my dream out of my mind. Thinking about the man of my dreams.

Gray Fullbuster... If he would ever smile at me or so much as gaze into my eyes... To meet his eyes with my own is something I could only dream about.

I catch myself in a dream like trance as I think about Gray Fullbuster. Not sure why I even try, he has never so much as noticed me. We have been going to the same school since elementary school, but he is light years ahead of me.

He was in Class A, and has always been in the accelerated class. He has never formally noticed me. I'm just an insignificant bug in his bright big world.

I tried to confess my love to him in our first year of high school, but it didn't exactly work out...

[Flash Back]

First-Year Student Juvia watches Gray from afar as he grabs his books out of his locker, she waits for him to walk away as she is not brave enough to work up the strength to do it in person. As soon as she sees his Raven Hair shut his locker and head to class, Juvia sneakily runs over to his locker.

Juvia pulls out a pink envelope with glitter, hearts, and stickers galore. She debates on if she should or should not drop the letter into his locker and seal her fate. She spent hours working on this confession letter, making sure it was visually pleasing and from the heart. As she worked up the courage, she felt confident this would be fool proof.

Her best friends Ultear and Meredy watched her from afar, half-proud of their friend and half-worried about the outcome of this letter, but overall ready to support their best friend no matter what.

Juvia closed her eyes and slipped the paper into the locker and ran back as quick as possible before any of her classmates noticed.

Juvia jumped up and down triumphantly, "I did it, I did it!" She cheered, almost not believing it herself.

"Hey Juvia. Did you have anyone look at the paper before you did that?" Meredy asked, remembering Juvia was not the best at spelling and grammar.

Juvia shook her head no proudly, "I think that this is a matter of the heart, and it is between me and my darling."

Ultear chimed in, "Well... did you remember to write your name on it?"

There was a pause of silence, Juvia felt herself screaming on the inside.

No, it wasn't internal. She didn't know what to say, she tried to open her mouth to reply but, instead Juvia actually shrieked at the top of her lungs. She felt her knees give out and fell to the floor in defeat. She lay there wallowing in her own misery.

How could she have forgotten the most important part of confessing?

Meredy tries to talk Juvia back up and Ultear couldn't stop herself from laughing.

"There, there, I mean at least you can always try confessing in person?" Meredy tried to lighten the situation, while slapping Ultear lightly for being insensitive.

"I don't know if I have the courage to," Juvia replied in between sobs, she laid face down from the floor.

Lyon heard Juvia's scream from the other side of the hallway, he ran down to see Juvia on the ground, crying her eyes out.

"JUVIE MY LOVE, ARE YOU OKAY? WHO HURT YOU?" He tries to help her up and slaps the dirt off her uniform. Lyon looked around in a fight stance, "WHO AM I BEATING UP?"

[END OF FLASHBACK]

I cringe at the memory. My mind keeps haunting me even nearly 4 years later. It's our senior year. I never told him, I couldn't even bring the strength to write a new letter. What would he think of me if I couldn't even remember to write my own name? So, I did what any rational person would do... I spent the last 3 years simply admiring from afar. He hasn't ever even spoken a word to me.

*RRRIINNGGG*

"Alright class, that was the bell. Enjoy your Lunch. I will see you all for your afternoon classes!" Ms. Strauss waved us goodbye.

I gather my things and put them into my book bag, and I see that Meredy was waiting for me at the door.

"I'll meet you in the lunchroom! Save me a seat!" I yell from the door.

She nods, "No problem, I'm sure by this time Ultear will be here and honestly I'm pretty certain Lyon has a seat for all of us since he is closer to the lunchroom today. See you there."

Meredy was always one of her sweeter friends, she was the one you could always count on to cheer you up when you were feeling down. She was short in stature and very petite, but she made up for it with a lot of heart. Everything about her was cute and petite. She had bubblegum pink hair that framed her face and spent a lot of time customizing her uniform everyday. She always found a way around the rules by adding fun accessories or wearing cool socks to her outfit. It matched her sweet and loving personality.

Meredy was also a lot younger than the rest of the class, truth be told she should be in Class A. Meredy, unlike the rest of us, was actually very brilliant. She skipped a few grades in Junior High and was bumped up to a Freshman when she should've been an 8th Grader. Ultear and I met her our Freshman year. Meredy was exceptionally gifted. Which is great for her, but Meredy is what many teachers like to call 'Wasted Potential.' I don't entirely know the full story, but she stopped trying after Sophomore year and wound up with Ultear and I in Class B. We are all in our Senior Year now. Meredy has completely checked out academically, she spends all night playing video games at the Internet Cafe much to her parents dismay. She's pretty good at it though. Whenever she puts her all into anything she's spectacular.

As for my other friend Ultear, she is a different case. I personally think that if she actually went to class she might do better. We only ever see her after Lunch. Meredy and I aren't too sure what she is doing or where she goes but, she always catches up with us when she is here. We don't try to ask too much. She's been this way ever since her parent's divorce 2 years ago and it really changed her. Ultear has been telling us that her mom apparently cannot handle being independent because all she does is go on date after date and doesn't have enough time for Ultear. I can tell it really bothers her and she just needs some time to herself to work out her feelings. She was the toughest person I knew. A lot of people dismiss her because they're scared of her. Sure, she's rough around the edges but, once you get to know her she's has a softer side.

I make my way over to the lunch table and spot Ultear's striking long silky purple hair. She was so lucky her hair was so sleek and shiny. I had to brush my wavy hair multiple times just to make sure I didn't look like a Bluenette Wicked Witch of the West. Ultear was always easily the most conventionally attractive one in our group, she was tall and skinny with an amazing figure and she didn't even have to work for it. She always wore the best clothes and her make up was never short of perfect. She always had better style than I did, I've known that since the day I met her. Her mom, Ur, would take her shopping all the time when we were younger, I've never seen Ultear wear the same outfit twice.

I look over the sea of my classmates trying to find my friends. I spot Ultear's silky purple hair, along with a pinkette and a spiky white haired teen. Yup, can't miss that.

I walk over and take a seat next to Meredy, and pull out my sack lunch from my bag. It wasn't anything special, just a peanut butter sandwich, an apple and my water bottle.

Lyon takes my sandwich and replaces it with a bento box, "Here my love, I will trade you. You need way more nutrients than I do, and this mere sandwich will not do that for you." He opens his bento and he has a full meal inside. It was Chicken Katsu, and honestly it looked delicious. It was decorated with edible flowers and everything.

"Lyon I can't do that, you made it look all pretty. You should eat it." I push it back to him. I felt bad if I ate that, and he had my peanut butter sandwich.

Ultear glances at the bento box and gasps, "Well, if Juvia isn't eating it I'll take it!" She yanks the bento box from Lyon's hands.

"H-HEY!" Lyon grabs it back, "THAT'S FOR JUVIE!" Ultear grabs it back again, they go back and forth yanking at the bento box.

Meredy tries to make conversation with me while those two were going at it next to us, "So Juvia, are you excited to move into your new house today? Your brother built it himself right?" She asked while taking a bite out of her lunch.

I was about to respond, but we got distracted by the side show next to us. We both turn our attention back to Ultear and Lyon, who are comically fighting over a lunch box like something out of Tom and Jerry, eventually they both pull on the box with such overwhelming force toward themselves that it flies out of both of their hands, into the air then lands smack dab on to the floor.

Lyon throws his body on the ground in front of the food, "Look what you did!" He points at Ultear, "I made this with love! Now it's trash!" He scooped it up and threw it into the trash can.

Ultear replied, crossing her arms, "Well next time if you want your lunch so badly you should have just eaten it yourself!"

Meredy looked at Ultear in disappointment, and gave her a nonverbal look for disapproval.

Ultear rolled her eyes, "I am sorry Lyon. I didn't mean to spill your lunch."

"Uh, yeah it's fine I guess..." Lyon replied. I watched Lyon look defeated at his seat, without any lunch to eat.

I sigh, "Here." I rip half of my peanut butter sandwich and offer it to Lyon.

Lyon looked at the sandwich in my hands as if I just offered him a million dollar check or world peace. His eyes were sparkling with joy.

"Did you make this with love for me, Juvie?" He asked, in a daze.

"...Um," I didn't entirely know how to answer that so I thought back to this morning when I made it, "Well I made it in like 2 minutes before I left for school because, Gajeel yelled at me saying he had to get to work on time or he was going to make me walk to school. So not sure about love, but honestly some of my sweat might be in it."

"Close enough." He took a bite and chewed it with an abundance of joy on his face, "I can taste the effort. Thank you, Juvie."

"Uh... No problem, Lyon." I move my attention back to Meredy, to bring the conversation back on topic after our short tangent, "Anyways, yes Meredy. We are almost fully moved in. I'm pretty proud of him. I know he worked day and night trying to build us a home. We should be fully moved in later today. Would you guys like to see the place?"

"I will follow you to the ends of the Earth, Juvie." Without any hesitation Lyon agreed immediately, which surprised no one.

"I will let my internet friends know not to expect me this afternoon," Meredy pulls out her laptop and types into her group chat.

"Eh, I have no plans. Sure." Ultear shrugged.

School came and went, we didn't really do anything I can particularly remember. Honestly, I don't really pay attention at all in school. I tend to spend a lot of time in my own thoughts, and I tend to lose track of time or reality.

We all took the train to my new neighborhood. It was in a cute small suburb of houses that looked exactly alike, Gajeel managed to buy the plot of land in the neighborhood but, instead of hiring anyone to build the house he brought it upon himself to build it from the ground up.

My adoptive brother Gajeel has always been looking out for me since I could even remember. He has always done his best to take care of me, and he always meant well. Much like Ultear, Gajeel was the kind of person who looked unruly and wild because of the way he looks. He was big, muscular, had a face full of piercings and a rockstar haircut. Honestly, he was such a big old softie. Gajeel never finished school, he just always said it wasn't his thing but, always insisted it was going to be my thing whenever I tried to say the same thing. Figures. He works at a junkyard right and has a weird interest in building things with scrap metal and other recycled pieces. This house was going to be his best project yet.

The exterior of the house was made almost entirely of reclaimed wood and old barn metal roofing. It wasn't visually appealing but curb appeal was never really a deal breaker for us.

"Hey kids! Geehee, Levy is on her way, I will unveil it all to you guys as soon as she comes here!" Gajeel stood in front of the door bouncing with excitement.

Not even a moment passes and Levy parks her car across the street from our lot. Levy, Gajeel's petite bluenette girlfriend, steps out of her car. "Hello everyone! Sorry I'm late, I had to close the library up before I came!" She was the beloved neighborhood librarian.

"Better late than ever, Babe!" Gajeel gives Levy a quick squeeze before moving on to the unveiling, "Before I let you guys in, I just want to thank you all for your support today. No more crappy apartments for us, Juvs! I want to take this moment to think about my departed father as I made this in his honor. I love you Dad, to you Metalicana!"

"To Metalicana!" Everyone replied back in unison.

Our adoptive father passed away my freshman year of high school, which was the same year Gajeel dropped out of high school. It was his senior year, but he had just turned 18 and he had no other choice. He got a job and made ends meet as best he could. He's been doing a good job so far, I am still alive and kicking so that's good for something. If it wasn't for Gajeel stepping it up, I would've most likely ended up back in a group home. So no words could ever express how thankful I am for him and all he does.

Gajeel reached for the key in his pocket and pushed it into the lock. As he jiggled the key to unlock the door, the whole doorknob fell and hit the ground.

Everyone was awkwardly silent, as if it was an indicator that it was a precursor for something worse yet to come.

"Geehee, whoops! I can fix that!" Gajeel picked up the doorknob and put it in his back pocket.

Everyone was in awe with how cozy it looked. Sure none of the windows or doors matched but, it was put together and there were 4 walls and a roof. Gajeel made sure to make me a small room, it wasn't much but it was something. We had all of our things set up nicely. We didn't have a lot in the house but it gave the home-y warm feeling. It was a shabby little cottage, but it was also our home.

"I'm actually quite surprised." Ultear commented looking around, pressing on the walls to see if it would hold up.

"I agree Brother-in-Law! You did an amazing job. One day I'll ask you if I can take my dear Juvia's hand on this very couch!" Lyon sat down admiring the handwork while stroking the couch's arm rest.

Oh god, how embarrassing.

Gajeel leaned over to Juvia with a puzzled look on his face, "Would you like to mention something new going on, Juvs?"

I immediately shook my head vigorously, completely mortified, "ABSOLUTELY NOT."

Gajeel was perplexed but, decided to brush past it. "Let me know if you need me to kick this guy out." He patted my shoulder.

Meredy and Levy, the more technical ones in the group, inspected the house thoroughly. Levy was opening and closing the doors to see if they were shutting properly and for the most part they were.

Meredy looked uneasy, and whispered to Levy, "Is it me... Or does it seem like the walls aren't sitting at a 90° angle from the floor?"

Levy took a second look around and inspected closer, "You're right... The wall looks like it's leaning at a 80° angle on this side and a 110° on this side. It seems to be okay, as long as the roof and the foundation holds up. I can talk to him about trying to possibly fix the foundation, and it might help it. I don't want to ruin his good mood right now." Meredy nodded in agreement.

Gajeel gathered everyone into the kitchen and dining area of the shack and pulled out a pizza from the oven, "Hey you guys, hope everyone is hungry!"

I rubbed her hands together, "It looks so good Gajeel!" I handed everyone a plate, then helped myself to a slice. "So delicious! I love Dad's secret family recipe!"

"Oh Brother-in-Law, I would love for you to share the recipe with me one day!" Lyon added.

Gajeel threw his oven mitts on the ground, "Okay, that's enough Spikey, you're out!"

"Gah!" Lyon immediately starts running away, Gajeel chases him like a lion chasing a gazelle. Lyon is bobbing and weaving around the furniture and Gajeel is pacing back and forth trying to keep up.

Gajeel stubs his toe on the couch, Lyon was crouching in fear waiting to be punched. Gajeel was jumping up and down in pain.

Levy tried to break up the fight, "That's enough you guys, you are shaking up the house!"

Gajeel finally sat down to access his toe, but the house was still shaking?

The rumbling progressively intensified. This wasn't just Gajeel and Lyon anymore... This was...

"EARTHQUAKE!" Meredy screamed, panic erupts as everyone scrambles around.

Knickknacks fell off the shelves, chairs were falling over and drywall was falling from the ceiling.

Ultear dove over to Meredy and led her under the dining table.

Lyon ducked down with his hands over his head in the corner of the dining room.

Gajeel grabbed me and Levy. He covered us with his body, protecting us by blocking all the debris with his back.

The shaking reached a screeching crescendo. I hear the sounds of glass shattering around me. I shut my eyes and cover my ears until immediately everything subsided.

Gajeel had both me and Levy in his arms, he stood up to check out the damages. Ultear and Meredy came out from under the table and Lyon got up from the floor. We all seemed to get away with everything with minimal damage.

We all exited the house to see if everyone else in the neighborhood was alright, but it seemed everyone's houses overall were left undamaged. We also wanted to steer clear for any possible aftershock effects.

Surprisingly, our house was still upright and most of the damage was our possessions, but that could all be replaced.

"GEEHEE. WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT." Gajeel boasted, "THIS HOUSE IS BUILT WITH QUALITY! IT CAN WITHSTAND THE POWER OF A THOUSAND EARTHQUAKES!"

Gajeel gave the exterior wall a good strong pat while he laughed with pride. With one pat, in that moment our whole house just broke apart into a hundred pieces. The earthquake may not have brought our house down, but Gajeel's pat on the wall seemed to be the final blow to the breaking point of our house's structure. Everyone is at a loss for words.

My jaw dropped as I watched the look of pure pride and joy move to extreme guilt from Gajeel's face. 10 months of day and night work all fell down in the span of 6 hours into us moving in.

Gajeel fell to his knees and looked at what was once junkyard scrap metal, then his new house, now turning back to scrap metal yet again.

Levy and I put our hands on each of Gajeel's shoulders in an attempt to comfort him. Gajeel's voice was shaking like he was about to start crying but, doing his best to remain positive, "Maybe... Maybe u-uh I-I didn't do the math right. Geehee, you know... It wasn't always my best subject." He tries to add a laugh to lighten the mood but, I could just tell he was trying to hold it together the best he could.

Lyon stumbled over to the rubble and loose sheet metal, "You know Brother-in-Law, maybe it's like a Lego house. If you accidentally do it wrong, let's just try to build it back up again!" Lyon picks up a few rectangular shaped pieces and gathers them together.

He balances some blocks of wood into a stack, "See! It's coming together! Tada!" He poses with his hands gesturing towards his make-shift tower he stacked and accidentally smacks it over in the process.

His eyes widened as he realized that probably didn't help the situation. He made immediate eye contact with Ultear and Meredy who were shaking their hands on their necks and mouthing 'cut it out!'

Lyon quickly took a huge step out of the way and speed walked away from the rubble with a nervous chuckle, "Oh hey... You... Uhh know what?" He takes one big step away with each breath as he checks his wrist. There wasn't even a watch on his wrist, but he looked at it with the intention of checking the imaginary time. "Oh my mom wants me home now... I will... Eh... See you in Chemistry. Bye Juvie!" He ran out so quickly that his shadow couldn't even keep up with him.

Levy helped Gajeel up on his feet, "You know, Honey, I think that you had the right idea but, the execution might not have been the best. We can try again."

I chimed in, "We can make it even better than this one!"

Gajeel still looked quite defeated, "I made this in honor of our dad, and he always told me to protect you... And I feel like I just failed him." He looked down at the ground and refused to make eye contact with any of us.

Levy picked his chin up to look into his eyes, "Hey now, don't say that! When the Earthquake erupted, you went into action mode. You grabbed Juvia and I so fast before I could even think about finding a safe place to hide. You are doing your best"

Gajeel nodded and started to genuinely smile for a bit, "Thank you Levs," he looked back at Meredy and Ultear behind us, "You girls are alright, right?"

Ultear held up her bloody elbow, "I got a gnarly scratch but, eh. Nothing a little Neosporin won't fix."

Meredy playfully slapped Ultear in the shoulder, "We are fine! The dining table you made actually held up as an amazing shelter!"

"Geehee! Great to hear!" Gajeel laughed and gave them a thumbs up and turned back to me, "Now, listen. I officially gave up our apartment last night. We don't exactly have a place to sleep until we have a new place to go—"

Levy cut him off mid sentence, "You guys are always welcome in my house. Panther Lily loves having company!" Levy pulled Gajeel into a hug.

Levy was the perfect girlfriend for my brother. I loved Levy, and I loved her cat, Panther Lily. But, unfortunately I'm allergic to cats. I could never ask her to put her cat out for me. Levy lived in a one bedroom apartment with her and her rescue cat. It didn't seem like there was enough room for me to stay with both of them, especially at this stage in our relationship. I try to hide my discomfort but, I had a way with wearing my expressions like it was written all over my face.

Thankfully Meredy understood the look I was giving them and swooped in.

Meredy asked Ultear using the loudest voice possible to make sure Gajeel and Levy would hear, "Why Ultear, didn't you say that your house is TOO big and SO lonely since your mom isn't home a lot?"

Meredy nudged Ultear to get her to play along.

"Huh? Why are you talking like that?" Ultear questioned Meredy's strange behavior.

Meredy smacked her in the elbow, Ultear jolted back, "OW! HEY!"

Meredy was mouthing 'play along' to Ultear and said, "Wow, what is it like having a place SO close to school? Must be nice to be so CONVENIENT!"

Ultear finally catches on, "Why YES Meredy! I DO love LIVING NEARBY. I get to SCHOOL everyday ON TIME"

Meredy slaps her again, Ultear glares back and mouths 'what now?'

Meredy replies by mouthing 'be realistic!' I hold it together trying not to laugh at their efforts.

Gajeel and Levy at this point have caught on to our attempts and laughed with one another, "As long as Juvia makes sure she keeps up her attendance and your mom is okay with it Ultear. I am fine with it."

Ultear replied, "I'll ask her right now!" and turned away to call her mom on the phone.

I waited with full anticipation, trying not to get my hopes up too high in the event I would be majorly disappointed soon.

Ultear turned around to face all of us, while on the phone with her mom, gave us a thumbs up, "My mom said, Juvia is welcome anytime and can stay as long as she needs to!"

Gajeel replied, "Tell Ur thank you for me!"

Meredy and I high fived. I couldn't have done it without her.

Meredy, Ultear and I jump up and down, and squeal in joy.

"I'll pack now!" I said eagerly. I turn around, forgetting my house is in shambles along with all of my things, "... Oh right." I sigh and begin scrambling through the wreckage to see what was spared.

Meredy and Ultear start looking around the area that used to be my bedroom. Gajeel and Levy collect Gajeel's things and put them into Levy's car.

We eventually gathered our things and I was left with enough clothes to last me a few days, some pictures of my family, my favorite teddy bear and everything I had in my backpack with me when I went to school. I didn't have much anyways. Ultear let me know that whatever I needed I could borrow from her at her house.

AUTHORS NOTE: That's all for Chapter 1, this was more or less to set the scene and introduce some of the main characters. Hope to share more soon!
