"I still think we should kill her." Rosalie shrugged, leaning against Emmett.

"We shall handle this situation like we do every issue-a vote. Esme?"

"No. Rosalie?"

"Yes. Alice?"

"Yes. Emmett?"

"No. Jasper?"

"Yes. Edward?"

"Yes. Carlisle?"

"No, but I guess it doesn't matter. I, however, will not be the one to carry out the deed. You can discuss amongst yourselves, but I don't want any blood spilt, understand?" Carlisle asked, casting a pointed glance in Edwards direction.

Edward nodded, deciding that he would not be the one to end Isabella Swan's life, therefore leaving to job up to Alice, Jasper, or Rosalie. "I'll do it." Jasper offered. He thought back to the many lives he had stolen, what was one more? Especially when they had near perfect records. Alice smiled gratefully at him before turning and making her way up the stairs. Rosalie followed finding Emmett and pulling him into the game room.

Jasper glanced around the now empty dining room, plopping down on a chair he began to think of ways to fake Isabella's death. A fall from her window... tripping down the stairs... car accident...

"Stairs." Alice spoke softly.

"Thanks Ali"

Alice stared down at her floor wistfully, she knew he wasn't hers, that she had no claim over him what so ever. But she wanted him. She shouldn't really, but his southern charm, wavy blond hair, and adorable humor had her attached the moment he interred her visions. There was no future for her and Jasper, no matter how many different decisions she made, he ended up with someone else and she remained searching for her other half. She wasn't very surprised honestly, being some ones mate required you to love every part of that person, for Jasper, that included the Major.

All vampires had another side to them, one that normally came out when the vampire was hunting or experiencing strong emotions. The Major was ten times worse. He was hardened by war and loss, and extremely skilled, the Major cared for absolutely no one. Alice had to admit that the Major terrified her, she had never come face to face with him, but she had heard stories.

It started with silly rumors, but soon turned into a tale of horror. Jasper Whitlock, the youngest major in the confederate army during his human years, wasn't a well known name. But Major was. Not many knew of the Majors more humane identity, no one faced the Major and lived to tell the tale. The Cullen family, Maria, and Jaspers 'war buddies' were pretty much the only ones who knew Jasper.

Maria had scarred Jasper horribly both physically and mentally, it was a blessing that his friends had come to rescue him. He had been lost and alone, fighting his desires at every turn. When Alice received the vision of Jasper in a near empty café, she switched her course. Instead of heading straight for the Cullen residence, she made a pit stop at the café. She told Jasper that she could show him another way of life, and after feeling her genuine want to help him, he followed her. Once they arrived at the Cullen house, Alice took Edwards bedroom, while Jasper occupied one of the guest bedrooms.

The Cullen's had been very welcoming to them, if a bit wary of Jasper, of course any vampire would be. Jasper was covered in scars, labeling him as dangerous, someone to be afraid of. It took Rosalie and Edward the longest to accept Jasper, with Rose's distrust of pretty much everyone and Edward being able to see all of Jaspers history, it took forever for them to welcome him into the family.

"When should I leave?" Jaspers soft voice floated up to her, shaking her from the memories. Alice skimmed the future quickly, deciding that now would be an acceptable time.

"Now." she muttered, pity filled her as she thought over what Jasper was about to do. The door closed quietly down stairs and Alice sank back into the fluffy pillows that crowded her headboard.

There was a light tap on her door and Edward poked his head through the crack. "Wanna hunt?" He asked with a small smile. Edward was perhaps the only person who knew of her crush, while he knew-much like she did-that it would never work, he had been there for Alice to confide in.

"That sounds great." Alice nodded.

Edward led the way out of the house, and once they were a safe distance away he turned to Alice. Edward folded himself gracefully onto the ground and patted the place beside him, "How ya doin Ali." He asked pulling her into his side.

Alice shrugged and snuggled deeper into the brotherly embrace, happy to have him as her best friend.

Jasper approached the two-story white house with a detailed plan in mind. He would climb into her bedroom, snap her neck quickly and then bring her to the rather large staircase, then he would shove her down them, effectively making her death look like a freak accident. Jasper nodded to himself, glancing at the small window above him before he began to scale the house. He reached her bed room with no trouble and took a quick glance around. Her shelves were covered with romance novels and picture frames, most of them stared an older looking version of Isabella.

"No mom, the cat can't go outside alone..."

Jasper spun in surprise taking in a small gasp as he felt the girls emotions, serenity and slight annoyance flickered over hum. As Jasper moved forward to complete his job, he began to feel disconnected from his body. Jasper glanced at the sleeping girl in horror, knowing that if the Major took control she would be in for a world of pain. Jasper fought, he really did, but like always the Major won. Jasper was forced to fade into the back of his mind rendering him useless to so anything but watch.
