Arthur had always been a quiet, soft-spoken kid who did his best to avoid conflict. However, when he saw a green-haired kid being bullied for being Quirkless, he was angry.
Arthur's Quirk wasn't like most. He didn't manifest a Quirk at the age of 4, he was born with it. It made him a creature called a Vaewolf. A being that was half vampire half werewolf. It granted him all of the perks, and none of the weaknesses.
This also afforded him control of the elements, enough that he could make them do just about anything. He formed an aura of ice around him. It wasn't physical, but it made the surrounding area much colder.
He walked up to the kid with explosive hands and spoke. His voice was quiet, though it demanded attention, "Leave him alone."
"What?" The boy asked as his hands sparked again, "What did you say, Trash?"
Arthur gazed into the boy's eyes, there was no hatred. It seemed the boy thought that he had every right to harm innocent people. Arthur sighed, very unfitting for his young appearance.
"I'd prefer that we didn't fight, but don't blame me." Arthur's eyes glowed. The red glow was frightening to all who saw it.
Five large spikes of ice formed behind him, one directly above his head and two above each shoulder, "I said: Leave him alone."
The bully looked at the spikes and Arthur and gritted his teeth. He reluctantly left, leaving Arthur with the green-haired boy.
The boy went to say his thanks, but Arthur was already walking away. Arthur glanced at him, then walked up to two adults. These were obviously his parents. They knew about Arthur's overpowered nature, and were happy with it. Both of them were Quirkless as well, so they were excited to see what kind of future their son would have.
He gripped their hands and they headed home.
Arthur came to the playground everyday after that, protecting the boy - whose name he learned was Izuku - and playing some games with him. This proceeded for about 6 years, after which Izuku suddenly stopped coming to the playground.
Arthur was saddened, but said nothing to anybody. Over the last year or two he had begun to develop amorous feelings for Izuku. He didn't know the exact day, he just looked at Izuku's smile one day and felt something in his chest.
Of course, he hasn't admitted this to anyone, except his parents. His parents got into contact with Izuku's mother, who was named Inko.
Izuku did in fact have a Quirk Arthur found out. However, he seemed to have a late manifestation. He became strangely strong one summer before high school.
Arthur smiled as he watched Izuku slowly push trash off the beach. For the duration of the summer, he had been doing his best to clean the beach. All Might, the man Izuku had worshipped, had asked him to do it. And, every morning, All Might was out there to encourage Izuku.
Neither All Might nor Izuku knew that Arthur was watching them. He was flying high above them, laying horizontally in the air..
He laid lazily, watching Izuku cleanse the last of the beach from trash.
All Might decided to celebrate, and Arthur decided to join them. He struck the earth like a lightning bolt, startling both of them. He slowly left the dust cloud he had kicked up.
"Art?" Izuku questioned as he looked at the bored-looking Arthur.
"In the flesh." Arthur answered, a wide smiling finding its way onto his face.
All Might was currently in his weakened form, but that didn't stop Arthur from acknowledging him, "All Might. I thank you for training my… my friend."
All Might noticed the pause and the look that Arthur sent Izuku, but the target of the look didn't seem to. All Might was also a bit scared to know that Arthur knew who he was. He kept his face calm, however, and spoke, "Please keep my identity a secret, young man."
"No problem. You are no concern of mine." Arthur's eyes never left the sweaty form of Izuku, who had his shirt clinging to his muscles. Arthur wanted nothing more than to touch them, but kept himself under control.
"I'm the number 1 hero." All Might commented, "I'm everyone's concern."
Arthur knew All Might wasn't being narcissistic so he just clicked his tongue, "Not for long, I'd imagine."
All Might seemed to get the hidden message - though there wasn't one - and sighed, "You're right. I'm getting weaker."
"What?" Arthur finally moved his eyes away from Izuku, "Oh. I wasn't talking about that, but sure, whatever."
"Young Midoriya, you should head home. I must talk with your… friend." Izuku nodded and left in a quick jog, making his way home.
"You are in love with him. Are you not?" All Might asked. Arthur narrowed his eyes. Where he came from, he was considered to be a demon. That's how he died in his past life, someone found out he was gay and decided that was bad. They burned down his house with him in it. He was only 17 at the time. Luckily, his parents weren't home.
Now, however, he had the power to protect himself. Light flashed in his eyes, and he readied for a fight. All Might put his hands up in mock surrender, "I do not wish to fight with you."
"What do you want? Money? A favor?" Arthur asked defensively, secretly gathering power in his closed right hand.
"I want to give you some advice." Arthur readied for the harsh words he was going to hear, "He seems to like you as well. You're all he talks about when he's not talking about me or other heroes. Get him before someone else does."
The energy he had been saving up instantly died out as Arthur stood there in shock. He went to speak, but found he couldn't. Nobody had told him anything about how this world felt about homosexuality, until now.
"You're serious?" He finally managed to say as All Might began to walk away.
He got no answer, just a nod. Arthur immediately decided to surprise Izuku. He sped to his house, breaking the sound barrier as his maximum speed on foot was Mach 5, and his flight speed was around three times faster.
He landed on his balcony and ran inside, he searched his room but couldn't find what he was looking for. After a couple of seconds, he got an idea and rushed downstairs.
He searched the kitchen and found what he was looking for. It was a card in his name that he had never used. It had a good amount of money on it, as his parents were filthy rich. He grinned and turned to leave.
He bumped into his father, who backed up slightly. His father was a tall man with black hair and piercing blue eyes. He looked at the card in Arthur's hand, "Special occasion?"
"I'm gonna ask him on a date." Arthur said. Then, he realized he had never explained to his parents that he was in love with Izuku.
"Who?" His father asked, his expression never changing.
"Izuku." His father's expression softened. He thought of Izuku as a second son. He was truly happy that Arthur found someone he liked.
"Go." His father said. At first, he thought his father was angry, then he continued, "Go ask him."
Arthur smiled and ran out of the door, breaking the sound barrier almost instantly when he was 1,000 feet in the air.
He landed in front of Izuku's house 30 seconds later. He was brimming with excitement. He knocked on the door and waited. When the door didn't open after a short while, he knocked again.
He was starting to get worried, then he heard a voice inside, "Hold on."
It was Izuku. Arthur rolled on the balls of his feet and waited patiently. He had waited years, what was five or ten minutes.
The door opened to reveal Izuku. His hair was wet and his green eyes scanned Arthur. Arthur couldn't wait, "I like you."
"What?" Izuku stuttered. His eyes wide in confusion and shock.
"I like you. I was kind of hoping you liked me." Arthur sounded shy. He hasn't been shy in a long time.
Izuku's surprise didn't dissipate, "What? How's that possible? I've seen the way you look at girls."
"Just because I thought you liked them. I longed to be like them, just so I could catch your eye." Arthur didn't think he was a girl, didn't want to be a girl at least not seriously. He didn't plan to try and become a girl, not that any surgery or medicine would allow him to. He couldn't be injured, even by doctors. He was also immune to every drug in existence, and every disease, every poison.
"Huh." Izuku let out a small surprised sound, "How long have you liked me?"
"A-about two years, maybe." Arthur looked down, his eyes focusing on Izuku's floor tiles. They were nice, he thought. Better than the disdain he thought would be on Izuku's face.
This was a mistake. He shouldn't have listened to All Might. He was just so happy that he might have a chance.
He turned to leave, but a hand caught his shoulder. He looked to see Izuku. Arthur was about to cry, something he hadn't done once since he got to this world, "I'm sorry. I-"
Arthur apologized. He wanted to continue his apology, but his lips were suddenly sealed by Izuku's. His eyes went wide, but closed shortly after. Tears still fell down his face, but they were happy tears.
When Izuku pulled away, Arthur could see reluctance in his eyes. Unlike Arthur, Izuku had to breathe. Unlike Izuku, Arthur forced himself to breathe. He wanted to seem normal.
This time, he forgot to force his breathing. He stood there completely silent. He didn't know what to say, Izuku had made the first move. That set a precedent, Arthur wasn't sure how he felt about the precedent. He did, however, know how he felt about the short kiss.
He began to grin. His teeth were unnaturally sharp, his canines a bit longer than normal humans. His red eyes gleamed in the light, and he snapped back to reality, "Do you wanna go on a date?"
He spoke fast, but Izuku still understood him. It was weird for Izuku to see this side of Arthur, as he was always so stoic and quiet. This outgoing and cheerful Arthur felt nicer, he thought.
"Sure. Let me get dressed." He came back shortly after. Izuku was wearing a white shirt and black pants. He also had on a black coat and grey shoes.
Arthur simply wore all black, but didn't bother with a coat. His power didn't allow him to feel uncomfortable even in the most extreme temperatures.
He scooped up Izuku like a princess and jumped. He had never carried Izuku before, so Izuku was fairly frightened. He gripped around Arthur's neck and clung tightly.
Arthur laughed as he formed a sheet of ice. He set Izuku on it and he stood shakily. Arthur stood across from him, standing in the open air.
"How does it feel to be so high up?" Arthur asked. He watched Izuku glance over the edge of the ice and pale slightly.
"Art, is this safe?" Izuku asked.
"Of course. Who do you think I am?" Arthur lowered himself and flew under the ice board, coming up on the other side with his hands in his pockets.
Izuku laughed softly, then leaned over the edge once more. He could see his apartment below them, it looked so small.
"I was going to take you somewhere. But, then I realized you've never been to my house." Arthur said. Izuku realized he was right. They had never been to each other's houses.
"How did you know where I live?" Izuku questioned with a wandering gaze.
"Didn't you know?" Izuku shook his head, "I can hear heartbeats. Everybody's unique. I just followed yours. It wasn't that hard."
"You can do that?" Izuku almost shouted. He then noticed that they had been moving slowly away from his house.
"Yeah. It's not hard, like I said. I memorized yours all those years ago." Izuku just realized they had known each other for 10 years. They were both almost 15 now.
Arthur floated over and landed on the sheet of ice, "I suggest you hold on to something."
Izuku did as told and gripped Arthur's arm. The sheet began to melt into a small disk that held only enough room for them to stand one behind the other. Izuku stood behind Arthur with his arms wrapped around his midriff.
The disk sped up until they were in front of a large, whit house. They landed on a balcony on the second floor. It was the same balcony that Arthur had landed on earlier. It led into his room.
The disk of ice evaporated into mist that flew into the atmosphere. Izuku looked around, "Is this…?"
"My bedroom. You're the first person that's ever been in here besides my parents and the occasional maid." Arthur smiled sadly, "I don't have many friends. But, you knew that."
Arthur opened his door, only to see his mother standing there about to knock, "Oh, Art, I didn't know you had company."
"Mom, this is Izuku." Her eyes flashed with recognition. She was sick, so she couldn't leave the house. However, inside the house she could roam freely. She hasn't seen him in years, and it showed in her face.
"Ah, Izuku. How has Arthur been treating you? You know, he's liked you for years." She tried to embarrass Arthur, but was surprised when neither of them showed a flustered or shocked expression.
"He knows, mom. That's why he's here. We were gonna go on a date." She smiled kindly and clapped twice. A maid appeared from seemingly nowhere.
"Carlene, please prepare a romantic dinner for my son and his new boyfriend." The maid nodded and vanished again.
"He's not my boyfriend, mom." Arthur's face had finally flushed. He then murmured, "Not yet."
She just smiled knowingly and walked away. Arthur turned to see Izuku looking down. His ears were tinged bright red, "I'm sorry, Izuku. I didn't know she would do that."
"It's fine." He spoke quietly enough that Arthur had to strain to hear him. When Izuku looked up, his face flushed, "I'm not opposed to the idea. We've already had our first kiss, after all."
He didn't look into Arthur's eyes, instead he found something interesting on his shoes. Arthur chuckled and closed his door. He moved closer to Izuku and whispered in his ear, "I can have our food delivered if you want that."
Izuku shuttered with the warm breath on his neck, Arthur grinning softly - though Izuku couldn't see it. He could hear Izuku's heartbeat sped up, and could see his ears turn red.
He pushed Izuku backwards, just in time for a knock to come to the door. He looked at Izuku who was seated on his bed, then at the door. The knock came again, and he grunted.
Arthur opened the door, only to find no one there. He looked down. Sitting on the floor was a box of condoms and a note that read 'Be Safe.'
He chuckled to himself, and picked up the box. He turned to Izuku, who looked a bit scared, "My parents must really like you, Izu~~Kun~~"
Arthur stretched the word purposefully, rolling it on his tongue. Izuku looked at the box, his eyes widening. He backed up until he was at the headboard, "We-we shouldn't."
Arthur was already in front of him, "Do you not want to?"
Izuku didn't not know what to do. On the one hand, he really did like Arthur and wanted to be his first. On the other hand, he was afraid it would hurt. He had seen Arthur's strength and was worried he'd break.
"It's not that." Izuku explained, "I'm scared of what will happen."
"Well, we can wait. Wouldn't want you to be sore for the exam tomorrow, now would we?" Arthur grinned, his teeth gleamed in the light of the setting sun.
The door was knocked on again, slightly angering Arthur. He growled softly and suddenly appeared in front of the door. He opened it and his sister, Liz, was standing there, she looked past him to Izuku. She, too, was Quirkless. It seemed everyone in their family was except for Arthur.
He had offered to turn them, but they all refused. They didn't want to live forever, and he didn't have a choice on the matter.
"I was just coming to ask if you've seen mom," Liz grinned towards them, "But, it seems you're busy."
She forcefully closed the door and left. Arthur turned back towards Izuku as food appeared on his desk. There was a note that he picked up, "Young Master, congratulations on your new relationship. Should you need it, I've loaded these foods with all the nutrients an active boy should have."
Arthur laughed as he read the note out loud. It seemed his family - and even his servants - wanted the two of them together.
Izuku also chuckled, "What does that even-."
He stopped when he noticed the look he was getting from Arthur. He turned beet red and buried his head in Arthur's blankets.
