Blue Bloods - Season 12 - Danny and Maria
Season 12 opens with Danny carrying Seans suitcase and other belongs to the car as he is about to drive his youngest son to college where he will now be living for the next for years. Danny has been dreading this day ever since Sean got his letter of acceptance , which was read at the family Sunday dinner.
When they arrive at the dorm, Danny helps his son bring his things into the dorm room, looks around and sees Sean's new roommates and comes to the realization he is alone . Loosing Linda 5 years ago was devastating, trying to be father and mother to two teenage sons, took everything he had out of him. When Jack went away to college he had Sean still with him, but now he will go to an empty house, every night. This is not what he thought his life would be like.
Driving back to the Precinct, the one thought stayed in his mind…. " What do I do now? ". Then he started thinking…. " I'm not the only one… Erin has been doing this for a while ever since Nikki went to college and now lives in LA. She appears to be doing alright…. Her mom Carmen can't understand why she hasn't gotten married. Her sister Ana keeps blaming her for leaving the neighborhood and making her responsible for taking care of their mother ever since their father left them. She has her own problems especially when it comes to men. Ever since Maria had an affair with the married detective, her choices have gone from bad to worse. Detective Mosley two timing her with another detective made her shy away from dating.
With the thought of being alone from here on out, Danny enters his squad room and his desk in a very shitty mood. Maria sees him and immediately sees this is going to be a very difficult day…. She tries her best to see what's going through his head

Danny: Look at the poor bastard….. died all alone ….. he had nowhere to go …. No one to go to.
Maria begins to suspect what Danny is going through….. she remembers that today was the day Sean went to college… Danny is feeling lonely and doesn't know what to do.
Maria : let's take pictures, but this doesn't look like a crime scene….. Call the ambulance and have him checked out if there is any foul play. The Coroner will let us know cause of death….. see if he has any ID so we can notify his next of kin.
Eddie: Will do…. Bye the way Danny …. Does Sean like his school ….. He was telling me how much he was looking forward to it

The Coroner provides finger prints so that any identity of this person can be made if he is in the system and hopefully contact any remaining relatives of his passing.
Maria: Danny our shift is almost over…. Thank god it's been a slow day and this night is not going to be ruined for both of us….. where are you taking me for dinner.
