James, Al and Lily accidentally land themselves in 1996 burrow while sneaking into their dad's locked office .How will Harry and Ginny from both timeline handle this news?

James was so bored he thought he'll combust with the pent up energy within him. They had been home for Christmas holidays for two whole days but weren't allowed to go outside because the muggle world was going through pandemic due to some 'korona virus'. Al was in his room studying for his exams and Lily was helping her parents bake Christmas biscuits. James thought that Al has studied enough and decided to go and bother him.
"Hey ,Al" said James cheerfully
Al looked up from his history of magic textbook titled "Upto the battle of Hogwarts" written by Ginevra Potter in the honour of the twentieth anniversary of the battle of Hogwarts. The book was a huge success and Minerva had liked the book so much that she had introduced the book in the Hogwarts curriculum for the fifth years.
"What do you want James?"asked Al bookmarking the page and tucking the book under his arm.
"what? can't I just come to talk to my lil brother, huh?"
"you can, but I recognise the look in your eyes and know that you are upto something"
"fine, how to think about taking a trip down mum and dad's office, I saw the door unlocked for like the first time in forever"
"Are you mad!! if dad finds out we'll never hear the end of it"
"mum and dad are busy with lily making Christmas biscuits, c'mon Al don't be a scaredy cat " James pleaded and resisted the urge to roll his eyes
"fine, but only for five minutes"
"thanks Al, you're the best bro ever" James grinned and Al rolled his eyes
James and Al took the invisibility cloak that James had inherited from his dad and sneaked into Harry's side of the office carefully. Harry's office was quite organised, his desk contained a photo of Ginny in a sundress smiling beautifully at the camera, their wedding photo and a family photo that also included Teddy.
James walked passed it towards the drawers and opened it. He brought out a necklace with an odd-looking hourglass , looking at it fascinatingly.
"hey Al look what I found"said James excitedly
Al who was busy rummaging through the letters stored in the cabinets which Harry and Ginny had written to each other through the years looked up at his brother to see him holding a necklace he instantly recognised from a picture in his history book
"James, where did you find this?" Al asked wide-eyed.
"I found this in dad's desk drawer" said James ,confused at his brother's behaviour
"James, this is a time Turner ,but they were all destroyed during the battle at the department of Mysteries, how come dad has it?"
" maybe it's aunt Hermione's" said James
"What are you two doing here?" yelled a voice from behind them. The two brothers startled and James dropped the time Turner to look at lily standing in the doorway.
The timeturner broke from its impact on the ground and started to fill the room in a green smoke.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING??"screeched Lily
"JAMES ,YOU DROPPED THE TIMETURNER!!!" yelled Al looking wide-eyed at the floor.
James could only watch as the green smoke swept him and his siblings as the room started disappearing they were pulled into darkness.
This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction so reviews will be greatly appreciated.Also this story will follow mostly canon but I'll be making slight changes to fit my storyline
