Christmas in Alaska
Leroy Jethro Gibbs had been hiding the gifts from his wife Cecelia after he had been away for a few days as a consultant at the Naval base, NCIS Bristol Bay, Alaska. It was almost a week away with Christmas to be arriving in the region.
Even though both Bristol and Naktok Bay had been expecting six inches of snow. And Gibbs had been prepared with the snowplow he had purchased.
He had been shopping for the past few weeks with help from his newfound friends moving to Naktok with his wife Cecelia and a year old son Shane. But of late since he's been settled now in Alaska, his old friends from the Naval Yards Special Agent Timothy McGee had decided to fly down to Naktok, bay for a few days.
Delilah had decided to stay back in Alexandria, Virginia to visit her mother having to be feeling out of sorts of late as the twins will keep her company.
Walking around the perimeter of his cabin that he had extended twice since moving to Naktok, Bay. He loved this place as compared to the one in Possum, county. He was able to pay a good price for it since the money was used from the sale of his house in Alexandria with Doctor Jimmy Palmer and Kasie purchasing the house along with the basement.
There were a number of secrets with the house that Palmer had found and including a number of firearms that Gibbs no doubt had probably forgotten...
Since Palmer was able to become closer to Kasie since the death of his wife Breena during the Pandemic. He was scared to make the next move by asking her to marry him. He's been still reeling with the fact he wasn't able to say a proper goodbye to Leroy Jethro Gibbs to not come back to the Naval Yards, NCIS.
Even though he's been staying in contact with Gibbs and Cecelia via the satellite phone or facetime and the tablet.
Looking up into the grey skies with a possible chance of snow. Gibbs had noticed a Naval jet flying over as if it was in trouble. Then all of a sudden there was a crash maybe a mile or so away from the cabin. Gibbs had been concerned as he called for help at the Naval base and NCIS.
Since he was going to move into his new grey truck purchased by his wife for him during the early days of their move to Alaska. Turning on the heat inside the truck to keep himself warm by wearing his black leather jacket over his Marine sweatshirt and sweats with his black boots.
Moving quickly by listening to the scanner sitting in front of him with the calls from the locals in regard to the crash of the jet. It had reminded him so much for when his own RULE 91 had exploded on the Crystal Lakes, North Shore, and with himself thrown overboard with a number of injuries.
Stopping the truck to try and get near the wreckage seeing a body on the solid ground. He had noticed it was a Naval officer with his face to the ground and if he was breathing.
Cecelia had taken their son to visit the local doctor of the region across the bay for a checkup as with herself since coming to Naktok, bay.
Gibbs had gotten out of the truck with his satellite phone to call the authorities before moving over to the body not knowing whether he was still alive.
However, he bent down the best he could with his right knee stiff as a board with getting old. He heard a moan coming out of his mouth through the blue helmet he was wearing. He was able to remove it without any further trauma.
"Try and take it easy Commander?" seeing his rank on the uniform sleeve. "Do you remember what has happened to you?" Gibbs needed to have said to him with grave caution.
"Sabotage for the third time within the last three weeks." he croaked out with his reply trying to catch his breath.
"Do you know who is behind it at least Commander?" Gibbs can hear the sirens in the background not knowing whether it's an ambulance, fire trucks, NCIS, or the Naval authorities?
However, he was able to see a black truck that very much looked like his wife's truck since it's been a while since he had spoken with her today.
Commander Jerry Mills screams out at Gibbs with his answer. "I believe and others have been thinking that it might be Sonata Industries once again causing trouble with NCIS stopping them with the ECOSYSTEM for both Bristol and Naktok bays." he cries out before passing out as Gibbs needed to pull him further away from the wreckage, while Cecelia stopped her truck with Shane and the protection detail.
"Stay back Cecelia, I don't know when the wreckage is going to blow with the fuel?" he was able to tell her with his concern watching his wife pull back, while Gibbs and the Commander had gotten away further before it blew throwing debris and flames all over the area to miss the truck and most of all Gibbs and the pilot.
Naval base fire trucks had arrived with the three trucks and crews, along with General Armstrong in charge for the last eight years. He's had his hands full the past two years when it comes to the ECOSYSTEM for Alaska.
He was driving in his green jeep with his escort driving him to see his pilot being escorted off onto a stretcher with the ambulance and two medical technicians
General Armstrong had been shaking his head with seeing Gibbs involved in the middle of the situation. He had gotten out of the jeep stepping over debris that was going to check back at the base for what caused the crash.
"I should of known Gibbs you're here to help save my pilot?" he alluded with his comment and with the shake of his hand and seeing his wife Cecelia not amused.
"I was in the area when your pilot crashed. I did my good deed for this past year or so General?" Gibbs has a smug smirk on his face.
"When you get the chance Gibbs to come back to the base before Christmas to write out a full report," he tells him with a choke of smoke with the fire trucks to use the foam, water, and other chemicals to coat the wreckage.
"Sure enough General," Gibbs says with walking away from them to head for his wife's truck to talk with her for the moment.
Cecelia standing outside watching the scene. "Are you alright Jethro?" she preceded with her response.
"I seem to be fine except for a stiff knee with pulling the commander to safety. Otherwise, I don't like the fact that the Commander had mentioned that this was this third time a plane had crashed due to sabotage," he grumbled under his breath.
"Did he happen to say who might be behind it Jethro?" she needed to ask the question of needing to get back to the two-level cabin that her husband and friends were able to expand the past plus year since quitting NCIS as a team leader.
"Once again Cecelia, Sonata Industries is involved!" he exhaled out of his eye with the pilot being placed inside the ambulance before heading off to the medical center a few miles from Naktok bay harbor. "I will meet you home unless you're able to pick up food for dinner?" Gibbs needed to say with either being Chinese, steaks, fish, or deer meat having stocked enough in the newly build storage area next to the cabin.
