Chapter One:

Sacred Gears. Mystical artifacts that come in a wide variety of abilities and levels of power. The strongest amongst them earning the rank of Longinus. Of course, raw power and potential means nothing without a wielder. The wielders of the Sacred Gears were always, initially at least, Humans born with the Sacred Gear dormant in their souls. Though whether or not they awaken it as Humans, after reincarnation as another species, or at all isn't guaranteed.

A Sacred Gear that has only once been documented to have awakened by the Supernatural World is the Sacred Gear known as the Gate of Babylon, with the only known wielder being the original. Gilgamesh. The First Hero. The Sacred Gear granted its wielder access to Gilgamesh's vast treasury of various Mythical artifacts and weapons, many of which are the prototypes of the various weapons and artifacts of legend, summoning the items either directly in the wielder's hand or at a distance. With or without the addition of velocity, launching the items straight out of the Gate at great speeds. While the Gate of Babylon wasn't amongst the Longinus-ranked Gears, it was definitely on par with them. One of the main reasons it wasn't officially ranked as such was the lack of documentation.

The latest wielder of the Gate of Babylon was a young child of the Wizarding World by the name of Harriet Potter. A young girl who despite being born with a gift that originally belonged to a King didn't have the best life. Having been subjected to things no child should have to know about. Something that the numerous scars, bruises and aches in places they don't belong could attest to. On a good day, Harriet's maternal aunt, Petunia Dursley, and her husband, Vernon Dursley, just ignored and neglected her. Normal days usually resulted in a new bruise or scar being added to Harriet's body. Bad days involved Vernon shoving something that definitely didn't belong there up Harriet's butt or down her throat. But the worst ones were the ones that resulted in having the… thing shoved up Harriet's butt or down her throat and a new bruise or scar.

While Harriet wasn't a particularly religious person, she regularly prayed for something, anything really, to save her from her torment, despite knowing that she would most of the time never receive salvation. Until her prayers were finally answered after a really bad day and when the thought of self-inflicted death was very tempting. But what answered her prayers wasn't what most people hoped would answer, but she simply didn't care. A Devil. Harriet didn't really listen to the Devil's introduction, but she did catch that the Devil was in the service of the Noble house of Gremory and that she had to pay some form of price.

"Want my soul? My life? You can have them! I don't care what price I have to pay! Just make it end. Please." Exclaimed Harriet desperately, tears streaming down her cheeks. The Devil didn't really get a chance to answer as another one appeared in a flash of crimson light. This one being definitely female. The female Devil had violet eyes and short brown hair and introduced herself as Venelana Gremory.

While she forgot most details of what happened, there was one thing that she would never forget that happened that day. Her life as Harriet Potter ended that day and her new life as Enuma Gremory, the youngest child of the house of Gremory through Blood Adoption, began.
