You asked for this monstrosity. You know who 'you' are.
SO BEHOLD! MY ABOMINATION!
CRACK LA CRACK!
"What the hell?"
One second Satsuki was sitting on her chair, drinking tea made by Mitsuzō, and the next she was sitting on the floor, still in her untransformed power armor, and now with an expensive looking sword in her hand.
"Oh brave heroes, please save our world!"
"What?!" two voices rang out.
Satsuki looked around the room to see three more men besides her, with a bunch of robed people surrounding them. One of them looked like a kid, and held a bow in his hand. The second one was a tall guy with blond hair in a ponytail, with a spear in his hand. And the third had a black Jacket, dark gray pants, green t-shirt, and a shield on his hand. He glanced at her for a moment before turning his attention to the weapon he was holding.
"We used an ancient ritual to summon you four here. Please save us, oh Great Heroes!"
"What the hell?" the bow hero muttered.
"Seems like a bother. Can you guys even send us back to our world?" the spear hero asked.
"And how would you even accommodate us?" the bow hero continued.
"What would be the point of us working for you, if you just got rid of us as soon as we are finished?"
"Do not worry heroes. If you talk to our king, I'm sure he will be more than happy to reward you for your help."
"Well he better have a good reason to summon me from my world. I was in the middle of something important," Satsuki said as she stepped forward. The guy with the shield rolled his eyes and walked forward.
'Ah sh*t, here we go again' he thought, following her.
The four of them were led to a throne room where an old man sat on a throne.
"So these are the heroes of old? I am the king of this country, Aultcray Melromarc the XXXII."
"I hope you didn't summon us on a whim, and you actually have an important reason for bringing us here," Satsuki spoke up.
"Why of course. Allow me to explain the situation…."
Waves, deaths, yada yada. Y'all know how this goes. I'm not rewriting this for the third time.
During the explanation Satsuki noticed that while the other two were giving the King their full attention, the guy with the shield was staring at his shield, completely ignoring the king's words. Though she did catch him glancing at her a few times.
"I see. So we just have to defeat these waves then. But how are you willing to accommodate us?" the spear hero asked.
"Otherwise won't it just be free labor?" the bow chimed in.
"I assure you, you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts. You will be paid a monthly salary for defeating the waves, and we have already prepared rooms for you to stay and regain your energy."
The two men up front seemed to be pleased by this. Satsuki looked at the two in disappointment, while the third one continued to look at something in his shield. Satsuki raised her sword to see what she was missing, but lowered it when she didn't find anything interesting.
"Now that you understand our situation better, could you tell us your names?" the king asked.
"Well I suppose I'm up first. My name is Kitamura Motoyasu. I'm turning 21, and a university student,' said the guy with the spear.
"Guess I'm next. My name is Kawasumi Itsuki. I'm 17 and a high schooler," the one with the bow replied.
"My turn. My name is Kiryuin Satsuki, I'm 18 and the Student Council President at Honnoji Academy," Satsuki said, looking at the last hero.
"The name is Lyn Reith, I'm a r-"
"Motoyasu, Itsuki and Satsuki, correct? Now the-"
"Haven't you forgotten one, your majesty?" Satsuki suddenly spoke up, pointing to Lyn.
"Ah, my apologies sword hero," the king replied with a bit of annoyance heard in his voice.
"Lyn Reith, 22 and a uni student," Lyn quickly spat out.
Don't want to hear me out? Fine, now you get random bs, he thought, looking at the king.
"Now brave heroes, please check your status," the King quickly changed the topic. Satsuki looked puzzled and looked over at Lyn for an explanation.
"Bottom right corner of your vision. Focus on that for a few seconds," he replied, not even looking up from his 'status'.
Satsuki looked at the corner of her vision and noticed a small icon that slowly grew as she focused on it. Sunnely a holographic screen appeared in front of her.
[Kiryuin Satsuki
Class: Sword Hero Level 1
Equipment: Small Sword (Legendary Weapon), Junketsu
Skills: none
Magic: none]
She looked a bit more and found her stats. Then she glanced over at Lyn, who was completely absorbed by his status screen, which she couldn't see.
[Lyn Reith
Class: Shield Hero Level 1
Equipment: Small Shield (Legendary Weapon), Blank Slate, Otherworldly Clothing
Skills: none
Magic: Healing, Support]
Lyn closed his status and looked up at the other heroes, who were still looking at their status screens.
"What is this?" Satsuki asked.
"Do you not have this in your world, Heroes? Here it is something everyone can use."
Lyn sighed and looked over to see how the others were doing.
"From here you will have to adventure and strengthen your weapons,"
"I see, then should we four form a party?" Motoyasu suggested.
"I'm afraid that won't be possible. According to the legends, the legendary weapons will repel each other.
Suddenly Satsuki saw something appear in her status menu. She opened her status again to reveal a message that said the following:
[When Two more wielders of the legendary weapons operate together, it causes an adverse reaction in the weapons. Working separately is highly advised.]
"The sun is about to set. Rest up tonight, and set forth tomorrow. In the meantime, we'll gather the best of the best to form your parties," the king promised, and a girl in a yellow dress led them to their room.
