Chapter 1: Start the Romance Dawn!
"Huh? What is this?" A woman with short orange hair asked. She wore a dark blue collared shirt with a long light blue tie, and a short white skirt. This was Nami, the Navigator of the Strawhat Pirates.
She had just woken up before the rest of the crew could, so she could check to make sure they were still on the correct path to Water 7. When she entered the deck of the Going Merry there was a weird box lying down on the deck. Nami had picked it up and found a note taped to the box.
"As a gift from us to you as a Thank You for all you've done! Enjoy this game to your heart's content! Instructions are inside!"
"A game? Some kind of board game?" Nami rolled her eyes. She opened the box and saw something that she had never seen before in her entire life. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?"
"From what the instructions say, it's called a 'Playstation 4'," Robin explained to her crewmates.
After Nami's loud outburst, the rest of the crew had awoken(Though, waking up Zoro took a bit more effort). The boys had come out of their cabin screaming, and Sanji was acting as if Nami was dying. The navigator calmed them all down with punches to their heads, screaming at them to shut up. While that was happening, Robin had taken the time to observe the package and the instructions.
"So, someone sent us this 'game' as a gift?" Usopp asked. Next to him was Luffy who was busy poking the system with a stick. Usopp smacked the stick out of his hand, so that Luffy wouldn't break it.
Nami shrugged her shoulders. "That's exactly it, that note didn't really say anything else. Other than saying that those instructions would explain some more," Nami said.
"I say we toss it overboard, who knows what the hell it might do," Zoro pointed at it.
"Y-You mean it might be a bomb!?" Chopper panicked.
"A bomb!? M-My 'I-can't-touch-a-bomb' illness is acting up!" Usopp pretends to collapse from sickness.
Chopper started panicking even more. "USOPP! SOMEONE CALL A DOCTOR!"
"THAT'S YOU!" Sanji and Nami yelled.
"Maybe it spits out meat!?" Luffy suggested, then a light bulb appeared above his head. "Oh! Sanji! Breakfast!"
"Yeah yeah! I'm working on it!" Sanji yelled at him. He then turned to both Nami and Robin with hearts in his eyes. "Nami-Swan! Robin-Chwan! Breakfast will be ready in a minute!"
Both women nodded their heads and smiled, sending Sanji into a love frenzy. The two gazed back at the instructions in Robin's hands. The archeologist dug into the box and pulled out a video transponder snail.
"Hm? What is that?" Usopp asked.
"A video transponder snail. A regular one is used to communicate with those of far distances, but these can transmit videos. Either recorded or for present time communication," Robin explained.
"Cool!" Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper exclaimed.
"But why would it be in the box with this Playstation thing?" Nami asked. She picked up the black controller, examining it.
Robin continued to read through the instructions, nodding her head as she read. "Okay, I think I've figured out how this is supposed to work now. I'll explain it after we eat breakfast."
After breakfast they all sat inside of the dining room with the table cleared. Robin was busy instructing Usopp on how to get the game setup.
"So, plug it in here?" Usopp asked. In his hands was a black cord and in the other hand was the back of the transponder snail.
"Yes, then place the snail on the table," Robin instructed. Usopp did as told and plugged the cord into the snail, its eyes opened up, and light began to pour out of its eyes. A transparent screen appeared in front of all the Strawhats.
"Oh! Mystery Screen!" Luffy cheered.
"Robin just explained it, you idiot!" Nami slapped him.
"Next, we need to take this next cord and plug it into the front of the system. Then attach the smaller end of the cord into the controller," Robin instructed.
"Controller? You mean this?" Nami picked it up off of the table.
"Yes, that."
Nami did as told and plugged the cord into the controller. The controller lit up and started to vibrate, scaring Nami. "EPP!" She dropped it abruptly.
"Nami-Swan!" Sanji was at her side in a second. "Are you okay!?"
"Y-Yeah, it just vibrated out of nowhere," She answered.
"Yeah, so calm down, Shitty-Cook," Zoro said.
"What was that, Moss-Head!?"
"You heard me, Swirly-Cook!"
"SHUT IT!" Nami smacked them both with the controller. Both men winced in pain from the hit, Zoro grumbled under his breath while Sanji continued to swoon.
Luffy picked up the controller, he put it into his mouth, then spat it out. "Ugh! It tastes awful!" Nami smacked him in the head with her fist.
"DON'T JUST PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH!" She yelled at him. The navigator rubbed her temples and turned to Robin. "What next, Robin?"
The archeologist lifted up the pamphlet. "It just says to press the on button before turning to the next page."
Usopp did as it said and held down the on button. The button illuminated with a blue color, and a noise started coming out of the game system.
"AH! Is it going to explode!?" Chopper cried.
"No, I just think it's turning on. However, if it did explode we'd all be charred corpses on the ground," Robin chuckled.
"THAT'S NOT FUNNY AT ALL!" Usopp and Chopper cried.
"Uh? I think something is happening," Zoro got everyone's attention back onto the screen. It shone with a bright blue color before a big bold text of words appeared on the screen.
ONE PIECE
PIRATE WARRIORS

[PRESS TOUCHPAD BUTTON]
"ONE PIECE!?"
"AND WAS THAT LUFFY'S VOICE!?"
Everyone was completely baffled by what had just happened, even Robin's eyes were wider than normal. Nami hastily grabbed Robin by her shoulders. "ROBIN, HURRY AND TURN THAT PAGE!"
The archeologist did as told and started to read out loud the text in front of her.
"Hello, Strawhat Pirates! I'm sure that after starting up the game you're all shocked by just the title screen! I could explain how all of that works, but eh, it's not that important."
"SOUNDS PRETTY IMPORTANT!"
Robin continued to read. "What you're all about to experience is a new invention called a Video Game! Don't worry too much about what it is, your time period hasn't figured it out yet."
"Time period?" Robin raised an eyebrow. "What could that mean?"
"Come on, keep reading, Robin!" Chopper pleaded.
"Yes yes," She smiled down at him. "This game is a documented version of your previous adventures and the adventures you will experience in the future!"
"THE FUTURE!?"
"Nope, not gonna play it," Luffy got up from his seat. His words shocked everyone, they had figured he'd be excited to play this game, especially since it seemed to be about them.
"Why not, Luffy?" Nami asked.
"I don't want to know about the future. Adventures aren't fun if we already know everything about them," Luffy explained.
Robin chuckled at her Captain's stance on the matter. "I don't think that will be too much of an issue, Captain."
"Why not?" He asked.
"Allow me to continue," She said. "And after I had just said that I'm sure Luffy has already declared that he doesn't want to play the game. Which is fair, spoilers aren't fun at all. So, what was decided was that you guys will only be able to go up to a certain point and any future adventures will be locked until you've experienced it yourselves."
"Oh, well, then let's get to playing!" Luffy plopped back down in his chair.
"That switch was so fast…" Everyone sweat dropped.
"These next couple of instructions will help you proceed to the game and help you as you play. Only let Robin read this and if she's unable to then give it to Nami. They're the only two trustworthy enough to not screw up the instructions."
"Did Sanji write this or something?" Usopp grumbled.
"That black controller will be how you guys will proceed to play the game. Just press the touchpad and begin the first episode! Time for you Strawhats to begin your journey all over again! Please remember that some events may not be completely accurate, and have been changed to fit the game!"
Robin finished reading the note and picked up the controller. "Who wants to start?"
Usopp reached for it. "I'll start-"
"ME!" Luffy's hand smacked the sharpshooter out of the way and took the controller from Robin's hand.
"OI! Luffy, be careful about how you grab things from a woman!" Sanji yelled.
"WHAT ABOUT ME!?" Usopp roared.
"Eh."
"EH!?"
Nami leaned over to Luffy's side. "Now, be careful not to break it, Luffy. It's the only one we got," She told him.
"Shishishi! I'll be super careful, Nami!" He laughed.
"That doesn't reassure me at all," She sighed.
Luffy pushed the touchpad in the middle, staring the game up. Everyone gave their attention back to the screen as it turned dark.
"Gold Roger, a man who once held the entire world in his hands. They say his dying words inspired many to take to the sea."
Gold Roger's face appeared on the screen. Two swords clashed underneath his chin to signify his execution.
"He spoke of the "One Piece" at the end of the Grand Line. Pirates across the world have set sail in search of that treasure. They went in search of a life of romantic adventure. The world entered the Great Age of Pirates."
"Shishishi! And I'm gonna be the one to find it and become King of the Pirates!" Luffy declared his dream. His crew all smiled at his familiar confident declaration.
A giant pirate ship with the Jolly Roger of the Red-Haired Pirates is shown being loaded by multiple men.
Shanks appeared on the screen with a younger Luffy looking up at him.
"SHANKS!?" Luffy gawked at the screen.
"They did say we were going to see our pasts, but I didn't think we'd start with a young Luffy," Nami said.
"It did say all of our past adventures. It only makes sense that we'll start with where our Captain began," Robin explained.
"Does that mean all of our pasts will be shown?" Zoro wondered. Everyone suddenly grew a bit tense at the thought.
Usopp wondered if he was going to see his dad in this game at all.
"I won't ask you to take me with you anymore. I'm going to become a pirate, all by myself," Luffy said.
"Ha! As if you could become a pirate," Shanks laughed.
"I CAN!"
"Someday, I'll gather a crew that's even better than yours! And we'll find the world's greatest treasure! I'll become the Pirate King!" Luffy declared, fiercely.
"And my crew is definitely strong! We'll find the One Piece before anyone else!" Luffy huffed, smoking blowing through his nose.
"Oh…so, you're going to beat us?" Shanks asked. He took off the strawhat on his head. "Well, then…" He placed the hat on Luffy's head.
"I'll give you this hat to look after. It's very special to me. Make sure you come back and return it someday! Become a great pirate!"
"So, that's how you got it," Nami whispered, awed by the scene.
"Shishishi! Yup, Shanks is amazing! And there's still so much to do and see before I can ever return this hat to him," Luffy grinned.
The camera zoomed out as the Red Force pulled away from Foosha Village. Luffy stands on the docks as he watches the ship leave.
"And so, that boy's adventure begins here, ten years later."
The screen turns brown as it does the timeskip to ten years later.
A 17-year-old Luffy stands on a little dingy as he begins his journey as a pirate. "Wow, it's great weather for sailing today! First, I've gotta gather a crew…I want at least ten people!"
Chopper looked around the room and counted. "Ah! That's six of us if we don't include Luffy!"
"That means just four more to go, Captain," Robin smiled.
Luffy's grin increased even more. "Shishishi! All we need next is a musician!"
"Why are you so fixated on that!?" Zoro yelled.
"All right, here we go! I'M GONNA BE THE KING OF THE PIRATES!"
Just like his game counterpart Luffy was already screaming it out again. "I'M GONNA BE THE KING OF THE PIRATES!"
"YOSHI!" His crew pumped their fists in the air.
The screen's background changed to that of a Marine Base.
"I'm looking for good men to join my pirate crew."
"All I have to do is survive. Then I'll be free to pursue my dream!"
"Besides, one day I'll show you…! I'm gonna be a Marine Officer!"
"Roronoa Zoro, next to my authority your power is pure scum…!
"I can't die yet…There's something I have to do…!"
"LUFFY! Destroy this lousy Marine!"
"Bullets can't hurt me!"
"They're all mine…"
"I'M THE GUY WHO'S GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES!"
"What's with all the words?" Luffy tilted his head, confused.
Robin turned the page on the instructions. "Seems before every episode there will be a screen like this, where any important words someone has said will appear. The quotes that have the biggest impact," She explained.
"And if I'm right, this will be when I join Luffy," Zoro said.
"What!? Why do we gotta start with, Moss-Head!?" Sanji cried, aghast.
"Jealous?"
"YOU WISH!"
PROLOGUE EP 1
ROMANCE DAWN
"FINALLY! Let's get to playing!" Luffy grinned, clenching the controller.
"Let's check out the controls first, Luffy. We don't even know how to play yet," Usopp said.
"I'm not sure if he's going to be willing to wait that long," Zoro said.
(NOTE: I'm skipping the summaries before every episode, because that's too much to write out. Nor will I write out every cutscene or Treasure scene. Those will be summarized by me. So, just assume that the summary of how Zoro got tied up has already been read to them by the game's narrator).
The cutscene began with Luffy standing in front of a tied-up Zoro. "I'm looking for pirates to join my crew."
[Pirate Hunter Zoro: Bounty Hunter of the East Blue]
"...And? You can't expect my help just because you untied me."
"I never said I planned on asking you. You've got the reputation of a bad guy," Luffy said.
"Says the pirate," Zoro rolled his eyes. Seeing their first meeting again reminded him of just how much of a selfish guy Luffy is, but he wouldn't have him any other way.
One thing that bothers him though is that his outfit was wrong in this game. But, he didn't care that much to point it out.
"Even if you don't set me free, I'll survive on my own. If I can make it for a month, they said I'll be released. So I'll survive no matter what! I'm going to do what I want to do!" Zoro declared.
The swordsman clicked his tongue. "Bastards had no plan to let me go," He growled.
"You would've died from hunger anyway, Zoro! No one can survive that long without food or water!" Chopper exclaimed, frantically.
"I would've been fine."
"NO, YOU WOULDN'T!"
Luffy and Coby converse about Zoro, the two overhear two Marines talking about executing him. Revealing that they had no plans of letting Zoro go free at any point.
Luffy and Zoro smile at the sight of Coby, the boy who they left to become the Marine he wanted. They wondered if he was doing okay, who knows they might just end up running into him again.
But of course, they'll be enemies if they do.
Luffy gets to his feet. "I've decided, Coby! I'm going to get Zoro to join my crew!"
"Wha…What? You can't just decide that! If you make the captain mad, you might just have the Marines after you!" Coby yelled, scared.
"I'll deal with that when it happens! First, I'm going to go see Zoro!"
"As if some stupid axe-guy is going to stop me! I'll kick his ass all over again!" Luffy shouted.
"Captain! It seems that you'll finally have your turn to play," Robin said.
BRIEFING:
VICTORY CONDITIONS: Bring Zoro into your crew!
DEFEAT CONDITIONS: Failed to rescue Zoro!
MISSION NO.1: Defeat Marines and head to Zoro!
"What do the instructions say next, Robin?" Nami asked.
"Since at this current moment we're just beginning, we don't have much to upgrade our characters. So, use the left analog stick to scroll down to battle start, then press 'X'," Robin explained.
"What's a anabog stick?" Luffy asked.
"The thing you have your thumb on," Robin sprouted a hand to mimic the controls for Luffy.
"OH! Thanks, Robin!" Luffy grinned widely.
"No problem."
LUFFY: Alright, I'm gonna ask Zoro to join my crew!
Luffy stood ready as a group of Marines charged at him to attack. On the map to the top right of the screen it showed the current location of Zoro.
Head for the goal!
The Strawhats were amazed by what they were looking at, the game looked so vibrant and colorful. It really did seem like something from the future.
"AH! Luffy, you gotta attack!" Usopp shouted, seeing the enemies rushing towards 'Luffy'.
"Right…uh? How do I do that?" Luffy asked. Everyone, but Robin fell over at his question.
"Press square and triangle to attack, Luffy," Robin instructed.
"Right!"
Luffy striked his enemies with normal punches, finishing the combo with a Gum-Gum Cannon. He continued to charge through the weaker grunts without much issue.
Gum-Gum Whip!
Luffy's leg stretched out and whipped five enemies. Adding to the growing K.O. count at the bottom right of the screen.
LEVEL UP!
"Huh!? What does that mean?" Luffy asked.
"It means that you just got stronger, Captain," Robin answered.
"YOSH! Let's keep kicking ass!" Luffy exclaimed, happy with the results.
Gum-Gum Gatling!
Gum-Gum Cannon!
Luffy smashed through more of his enemies to break past them.
MISSION START:
Head to Zoro!
"Head to Zoro, Luffy," Nami said.
"But I want to keep beating up enemies," He pouted.
"Head to Zoro or we'll lose!" Nami yelled.
"He'll be fine! It's Zoro!"
"Don't worry, Miss Navigator, at the moment we're in no danger of losing," Robin reassured her.
"If you say so," Nami relaxed.
Due to not paying attention to what he was doing, Luffy accidently pressed down on the 'O' button.
Gum-Gum Rifle!
Luffy stretched his arm back, twisting it as he did, before releasing it in one powerful shot. The super attack took down the rest of the grunts in front of him.
150 K.O.
"COOL!" Luffy and Chopper exclaimed.
"What did he just do?" Sanji asked.
"Appears that he's used a 'Super Attack', by pressing the 'O' button, you can unleash a very powerful attack," Robin explained.
"Let's do it again!" Luffy pressed the button once more, but nothing happened. "Huh? Is it broken?"
"No, I think it's because that meter is empty," Usopp pointed.
"You would be correct, Long-Nose," Robin nodded her head. "You can only use a 'Super Attack' when that meter is filled."
"Awwww…" Luffy whined.
"Just hurry up and get to me already!" Zoro barked.
Luffy sprinted up to the gate to see the Gate Guard standing there with multiple grunts around him.
Gate Guard: "W-we won't let you get by!"
Defeat the Gate Guard!
"He has a health bar too!" Chopper pointed out.
"Yes, which means that to get to Zoro, we'll have to take care of that guard first," Nami said.
Gum-Gum Cannon!
Luffy knocked the enemies back against the gate, defeating the grunts but the Guard still had some health left. The pirate continued to knock down multiple grunts in his mission to defeat the Guard.
Gum-Gum Rain!
Luffy jumped into the air and unleashed a barrage of downward fist strikes onto the Gate Guard. It was enough to lower his health, and complete the mission. There were still a few grunts left that Luffy continued to beat down.
Head for the Goal!
The gates opened!
"Yosh! We're coming, Zoro!" Luffy cheered.
"We won't let you die, Zoro!" Chopper yelled.
"I'm right here!" Zoro reminded them.
A text bubble appeared above Luffy's head, starting another cutscene.
ZORO'S CONVICTION:
"I don't know what these other folks say about me, but I've never done anything that goes against my code!" Zoro yelled.
"Like I care! I've decided that you're gonna join my crew! You said they took your sword, right? I'll go get it back. And if you want me to give it to you, you join my crew!" Luffy declared.
"What!? That's messed up, kid!" Zoro gawked.
"Alright, I'll be back!" Luffy said.
"That's how he convinced you!?" Sanji questioned.
"That rubber bastard is more stubborn than you can imagine. Playing dirty like that…" Zoro sighed.
"Shishishi!" Luffy laughed.
LUFFY: I gotta find Zoro's sword fast. That looks pretty suspicious!
MISSION START!
Raid the Marine Base and retrieve the sword!
"Wait, why does it say 'sword'? Shouldn't that be plural?" Usopp asked.
"Ah, right, I forgot to tell him I had three swords. I was lucky that he just decided to come back with all three," Zoro explained.
"Dumbasses…" Almost everyone thought of the two.
Defeat Marine Commander and get information on the sword!
You can see Zoro tied up to the post in the middle of the courtyard. Running past him and through the back gate, there was a large crowd of enemies. Luffy attacked them all instantly with powerful strikes.
Gum-Gum Gatling!
Gum-Gum Rain!
Gum-Gum Battle Axe!
Gum-Gum Whip!
Luffy soared past a majority of the enemies in his path with his strong attacks
Gum-Gum Rifle!
He used his super attack to take out the last bulk of the enemies. As he continued to make his way to the objective, there was something that caught their attention.
"Base? What's that?" Chopper wondered.
"Hm, says here that bases are little assets that will help defend areas for you. However, since they're weak enemies can also quickly beat them. Fighting them is not necessary, so do what you want," Robin explained.
"Eh, I'll just ignore it," Luffy shrugged.
MARINE: "Captain! It seems someone from Roronoa Zoro's crew has entered the base!"
MORGAN: "What!? Kill all dissenters. And be quick about it!"
Marine Commander and company are advancing towards Luffy!
"Well, it saves you the trouble of having to run all the way towards them," Zoro grinned.
"Yosh! Time for an ass kicking!" Luffy yelled.
Luffy attacked fiercely against the two Marine Commanders.
Gum-Gum Rain!
His attack was strong enough to take out one of the Marine Commanders. Leaving the other one open for his charged up special attack!
Gum-Gum Rifle!
Luffy blasted the 2nd Commander away, completing the objective.
LUFFY: "Hey, where's Zoro's sword?"
MARINE COMMANDER: "I-It's in the base's armory."
LUFFY: "So, it's in the armory!
500 K.O.
"OH! I'VE BEATEN THAT MANY!?" Luffy's eyes sparkled.
"Good work, Luffy! Captain Usopp is proud of ya!" Usopp slapped his back.
Gate Guard has appeared!
Defeat Gate Guard and head to the armory!
"Shishishi! Easy as taking meat from the fridge!"
"YOU WHAT!?" Sanji roared.
Luffy made his way over to the Gate Guard and easily defeated him with a Gum Gum gatling and cannon. With his defeat, Luffy made his way into the armory.
Break open the treasure chest and retrieve the sword!
HINT: Various items are inside Treasure Chests located throughout the stage. Attack Treasure Chests to make the items appear!
"OH! TREASURE!" Nami swooned. "Luffy! You better break open every chest you see! Who knows what we can use the acquired beli for!?" Nami shook him.
"N-N-N-Nami! Y-Y-Y-You're shaking m-me t-t-too much!" Luffy stuttered due to Nami.
"Oh, sorry. Just make sure to grab all the treasure!"
Luffy destroyed the chest that held Zoro's swords! He also broke open the three treasure chests that were located inside of the armory.
Luffy has obtained the sword!
MISSION SUCCESSFUL!
LUFFY: "I found it! The sword! But there are three of them. Which one is Zoro's?"
MORGAN: "Enough! Change of plans… Execute Roronoa Zoro immediately!"
"WHAT!?"
"THAT BASTARD!"
Marine Commander and company have opened the gates to advance!
ZORO: "W-what's that? …We had an agreement!
2 '59 "00
"THERE'S A TIME LIMIT!?" Usopp and Nami screeched.
"Seems that if we fail to reach Mr. Swordsman in time, then we'll fail the mission," Robin concluded.
"Damn!" Zoro cursed.
"There's like a buttload of enemies in front of us!" Usopp yelled.
"Then I'll just have to kick all of their asses!" Luffy grinned.
"No, Luffy! That'll just waste time, defeat as many as you can, but don't stop moving or Zoro dies!" Nami instructed him.
"Right! Just hang tight, Zoro!" Luffy yelled.
HINT: During battle, missions with a Time Limit may appear. If you go over the Time Limit, it could be Game Over.
COBY: "Luffy, the execution has been moved up! Please hurry!"
MISSION START!
Deliver the sword to Zoro within the time limit!
? has appeared!
"NAMI!?" Everyone who wasn't Robin yelled.
The Navigator was confused for a moment as to why she was there, until she remembered breaking into a Marine Base to steal some of their money so she could meet Arlong's deadline. "I had no idea that Luffy and Zoro were both there!"
?: "Sounds like something's up… Ah well, that suits me just fine."
MORGAN: Tighten the security for the vault. It has all the valuable sea charts.
Marine Commander has begun advancing towards Treasure Storehouse!
?: "Oh no! Marines are coming this way!
A question mark appeared on the map, over to where the orange haired woman had appeared.
"What does that mean?" Nami asked Robin.
The archeologist looked down at the instructions. "That means there is a Treasure Event over there."
"And that is?" Zoro raised an eyebrow.
"An optional event to do besides the main objective. By completing those we can unlock other rewards that may help us on our journey. But, be warned that most of them can be difficult due to them happening at the same time as the main objective," Robin explained.
"Should I go help, Nami?" Luffy asked.
"No, just get to Zoro before the time runs out," Nami told him. Luffy wasn't sure, especially since those Commanders were heading straight for her, but he knew Nami was strong. She'll be fine.
"Yosh! Let's save Zoro!"
Luffy charged past as many Marines as he could, using quick attacks to take out the guards in front of him. He ignored the Treasure Event involving the mysterious thief and entered the courtyard to give Zoro his swords!
A cutscene was triggered due to completing the objective.
"YOSH! WE MADE IT!"
"Roronoa Zoro… Your so-called strength is nothing but garbage in the face of my authority! Prepare yourself!" Morgan declared. All of the Marines loaded up their rifles to execute Zoro.
"Nngh! I… I'm not gonna die here like this…! I swore to become as strong as him…to become the world's strongest swordsman…so infamous that my name reaches the heavens…!"
A still image of Zoro declaring his dream to his crying childhood friend was shown.
"Kuina…" Zoro's heart clenched at the memory of her. He was fine with his crewmates seeing an image of her, as long as everything from his past wasn't touched.
"I swore it…! So, I can't die like a dog here…!" Zoro cried mentally.
"FIRE!" Morgan ordered.
Suddenly, Luffy dropped down out of the sky, each of the bullets hitting his rubber body. Zoro watched in shock as Luffy took on each bullet.
"You look like an idiot, Moss-Head!"
"HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO REACT TO THAT!?"
"Nooo!" Luffy shouted as each of the bullets were rebounded off of his body.
"You…! What the hell are you!?" Zoro asked.
"I'm the man who's going to be the King of the Pirates!" Luffy smiled. "Hey, which one's yours?"
"All three of them are mine… I use the Three Sword Style…" Zoro answered.
"Help me fight the Marines here, and you'll be a lowlife who defied the government. Which is worse, that, or dying like this?" Luffy asked.
Zoro smirked and looked at his Captain. "As if you even needed to ask."
"Shishishi! I knew your answer anyway, I just needed to hear you say it!" Luffy laughed.
"You're a real devil, kid… Well, fine. If I'm just gonna die like a dog here. I might as well become a pirate!"
"And that's how Zoro joined!" Chopper's eyes sparkled from how cool the scene was.
"Now to kick the axe-guy's ass!" Luffy grinned.
"I'm really gonna enjoy this part," Zoro leaned back in his seat.

HINTS: By defeating tough enemies, meeting certain requirements in battle, and so on, you can trigger Treasure Events. Omen Marks will display on required enemies and territories.

"AH! I can still help Nami!" Luffy grinned.
"Yup! But, first take out those Marines, Luffy," Nami said.

Luffy's powerful blow took out a row of Marines and a Commander.
Raise the Kizuna Level and use a Kizuna Attack!
HINT: As you deal out damage to enemies, the Kizuna Gauge will rise. When the Gauge is full, your Kizuna Level will increase. If you have a Kizuna Level of 2 or more, and you press the attack button once more after using a charge attack, your crew will appear and launch an attack.
"Sounds like we can do team attacks with each other!" Usopp gasped.
"SO COOL!" Luffy and Chopper shouted.
ZORO: "I'll become a pirate for you… But listen up! I have my own dreams! I'm gonna be the world's best swordsman, so I can't go ruining my name."
LUFFY: "World's best swordsman! The Pirate King's crew needs someone like that!"
As Luffy continued his beatdown on the Marines, the triangle button appeared on the screen. The button was pressed and Zoro appeared in a blue light, launching an attack. He did another combo, and this time the square button appeared. He pressed it again, bringing in Zoro for another support attack.
"Woah! What did Zoro just do!?" Luffy asked.
"Seems by increasing the Kizuna gauge, we can call in allies for support attacks," Sanji noticed.
"SO COOL!"
MISSION SUCCESSFUL
Marine Commander has appeared! Advancing towards Zoro!
Use Kizuna Attacks to destroy Marine Commander!
LEVEL UP!
Luffy has defeated 1000 people!
"It's not letting me use it," Luffy pouted.
"Maybe, we have to wait for a certain prompt. Like with the support attacks?" Chopper assumed.
"You might be right, Doctor," Robin said.

Luffy and Zoro finished off the last remaining Marine Commanders with powerful attacks and support attacks.
HINT: When your Kizuna Level goes up, the power of your Kizuna Attack will also increase. Also, the Kizuna Attack skills unleashed with 'SQUARE' and 'TRIANGLE' are different for every character. Use every skill to the fullest to advance strategically in battle!
"Strategy isn't Luffy's style at all," Nami sighed.
"Yeah, he's just gonna use them all however he wants," Zoro sighed.
LUFFY: "That arrogant jerk isn't here? I'm gonna find him and beat him down!"
Defeat Marine Commander and head to Morgan!
Victory conditions have changed!
Marine Commander has opened the gates in order to advance!
Morgan has appeared!
MORGAN: "That brat must have eaten one of those rumored Devil Fruits..If bullets don't work, then cut him up! Just finish him off quickly!"
"Rumored?" Robin questioned.
Nami turned to her. "Devil Fruits weren't really common in the East Blue. That's why Luffy freaked us all out the first time we met him."
?: "Good, now it's time for me to go…"
? is retreating!
"What!? I couldn't do the event thingy!" Luffy yelled.
"We can replay it again later, Luffy. Just focus on the objective," Nami said.
"Fine…"
Luffy has defeated 1500 people!
Defeat Marine Commander!
Luffy and Zoro left the courtyard to chase down Morgan. They found the Marine Commanders and swiftly dealt with them with support combos.
MORGAN: "My orders are absolute! I will execute anyone who disobeys me!"
Marine Commander and company have opened the gates to advance!
COBY: Luffy! Crush those crappy Marines!
Gum-Gum Cannon!
Gum-Gum Pistol!
Gum-Gum Gatling!
Luffy has defeated 2000 people!
"Go Luffy go!" Chopper continued to cheer.
"Tch! When it's my turn, I bet I can get way more," Zoro said.
"Then, I'll even get even more than you, Moss-Head," Sanji challenged.
"You think you can beat me!?" Zoro got into his face.
"You bet your ass I can!" Sanji yelled.
"How about you two shut up and watch!" Nami yelled.
"Yes, Nami-Swan!"
"Tch."
Luffy and Zoro continued to make their way into the storage rooms. Where a bunch of Morgan statues could be seen. Luffy wasted no time in destroying each one, while pounding every enemy that came his way.
Gum-Gum Rifle!
"Those statues are ugly," Luffy's face scrunched in disgust.
Robin noticed the omen marks at their location. "Seems we found another Treasure Event," She smiled.
A question mark appeared above Luffy.
TREASURE EVENT!
Coby talks about how he made enemies with the Marines, wondering how he got mixed up in all of this. Luffy responds by telling him about his dream once more, and Coby tells him that if he aims to be the Pirate King, then he'll have to deal with pirates and marines. That he could die.
Luffy tells him that he's fine with dying to try and accomplish his dream. His words inspire Coby to do the same thing to be willing to stake his life on becoming a strong Marine.
"Even if they might even become your enemy, you somehow manage to inspire the people around you, Captain," Robin smiled.
"Shishishi! I didn't do much, Coby came to that conclusion all on his own. I'm sure he'll accomplish his dream," Luffy replied.
Luffy opened up some more chests at the request of Nami and made his way over to Morgan. It was time for the final fight!
MISSION SUCCESSFUL!
"Yosh! Time for some ass kicking!" Luffy grinned.
Morgan dropped down onto the stage.
HINT: A Shock Mark will appear when there is a break in the enemy's attacks. When the Shock Mark appears, strike with chain attacks to put the enemy in a Stunned State where they are defenseless.
LUFFY: "How dare you crush Coby's dreams! I'm gonna kick your ass!"
MORGAN: "Shut up! Everything those with rank do is right!"
"Tch, your rank means absolute shit compared to us," Zoro spat.
"Treating your underlings like shit and acting as if your God is downright pathetic," Sanji lit his cigarette.
"You're going down, Axe-guy!" Luffy yelled.
MISSION START!
Defeat Morgan!
Luffy and Zoro attacked Morgan with team attacks, whittling down his first health bar. The shock marks appeared above his head, and he powered-up.
MORGAN: "You people with no status, no title…Remember that you have no right to disobey me!"
HINT: When your Kizuna Level is at MAX, if you press "R2", you can use a Kizuna Rush.
"Alright, let's use it now-"
"Wait, Captain!" Robin stopped him.
"Huh? Why, Robin?"
"Wouldn't it be more satisfying if you could finish him off with it?" She suggested. His response was an excited grin at the idea.
Luffy waited to use the Kizuna attack until he got Morgan down to his last health bar.
Gum-Gum Cannon!
Gum-Gum Rain!
Gum-Gum Pistol!
Gum-Gum Gatling!
Morgan staggered back; his health now close to being emptied.
"YOSH! Let's do this, Zoro!"
"Hn, Yosh!"
Lightning sparked around Luffy's body as the Kizuna Rush was activated. "IKUZO!"
CAN YOU CALL ME A CREW MATE?
Luffy's body now had a more orange glow to it, and he pressed the circle button to finish off Morgan.
"GUM-GUM…!"
"THREE-SWORD…!"
"PHOENIX OF CANNON!"
The combined attack of Luffy and Zoro destroyed every last Marine in its path and finished off Morgan in an explosive finish!
"THAT WAS SO COOL!" Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp were bouncing off the walls at the super cool finish. There others were more composed about it but were also excited and amazed by the combined attack.
"Makes you wonder just how many combinations we can do," Robin mused.
"I wanna try them all!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Me too! Me too!" Chopper agreed.
"Me three! Me three!" Usopp also agreed.
They now entered the finishing cutscene to the battle.
"I'm Axe-Hand Morgan, Captain of the Marines!" Morgan declared, running towards Luffy.
"I'm Luffy! Nice to meet ya!"
Luffy jumped over Morgan's swipe and drop kicked the Marine Captain in his face.
"What the heck are you doing standing around!? Get them now! If shooting him doesn't work then cut him down!" Morgan commanded his subordinates.
The Marines charged in to strike Luffy with their swords. The pirate turned around to face them, leaving his back completely open to Morgan's strike.
"Gum-Gum…!
Zoro charged in.
"Whip!" Luffy swiped them all away. "Nice…"
Morgan fell to the ground unconscious.
"Zoro!"
"No problem, Captain."
"You guys were so cool!" Chopper gushed, stars in his eyes.
"Hm, as Captain Usopp, I've beaten plenty of Marine Captains in even cooler ways than that!" Usopp lied.
"Really, Usopp!?" Chopper gasped, falling for it.
"He's lying," Sanji and Nami broke the illusion.
"REALLY!?"
The final cutscene was of Luffy and Zoro bidding farewell to Coby, by pretending he hadn't cooperated with them at all. By breaking off contact, they allowed him to pursue his dream of becoming a Marine.
"I…I will become a Marine Officer!" Coby declared with all of his heart.
Luffy and Zoro smiled warmly at the scene, remembering when Coby had finally grown a backbone.

"Who said you get to go next?" Sanji asked.
"You haven't been introduced yet, Shitty-Cook! So, I'm going next," Zoro took the controller from Luffy's hands.
"Tch," Sanji relented, not being able to beat that argument.

CREW LEVEL GROWTH:
During battle, your Crew Level with the crew members you fought alongside will grow, according to the number of "!"s you have obtained. As your Crew Level increases, you'll get various special bonuses. "!"s can be obtained in battle by defeating enemies using a Kizuna Attack, Kizuna Rush, or Special Kizuna Attacks.
Switch between different crew members and aim to obtain plenty of "!"s.

"So, the more damage we deal the stronger we become? I like the sound of it. I'll make sure not to use Curly brows, though," Zoro said.
"WHAT!? I DON'T WANT TO BE USED BY YOU ANYWAY!" Sanji shouted.

When a battle ends, you can obtain the Skill Posters of the characters available for use by the player, or of the characters you defeated in that battle.
By completing the requirements on the Skill Poster, you can learn Player Skills.
There are various kinds of Plater Skills, including ones that power up your combos and make it easier to stun enemies. For some skills, you can raise their Skill Level by learning the same skill.
"Hm, it would be imperative for us to take the time to raise our skill levels when we can. Wouldn't want to be walking into battles unprepared," Robin said.
"But-"
"Luffy, let us handle all of the skill building. You can do the punching when it's your turn," Nami said.
"Oh, sure!"
"He agreed way too quickly," Everyone thought.
GETTING COINS:
By defeating tough enemies in battle, you can lay claim to their Coins.
If you use a Kizuna Attack or Rush to defeat them, the number of Coins you can obtain will increase.
You can get Coins from allied characters by winning the battle. The number of Coins obtained will increase according to the number of "!"s obtained by those characters in battle.
"Wow, there's a lot to this game it seems. Some technical stuff, so it doesn't just seem like a punch-fest," Nami said.
"Yeah, which makes me excited to get to play! Captain Usopp's will be the most power-" Usopp was knocked off his high horse by Zoro. The swordsman kicked him off of his chair in annoyance.
"Shut up, so that I can play already! I need to get such a high score that Swirly Brow won't be able to match it," Zoro said.
"HUH!? I hope you lose this next one, you Shitty-Swordsman!" Sanji yelled.
Nami shook her head while Robin just chuckled. "This is going to be a headache; I can already tell…"
"Shishishi! I think this is pretty fun, give it a try, Nami!" Luffy said.
"I will once I get a turn before those bozos," She sighed. "Before we start, let me go check to see if we're still on course." Nami got up from her seat and went outside.
"I wanna play too!" Chopper exclaimed.
"But you don't have any fingers, Doctor," Robin pointed out.
Chopper blinked as he also came to the realization. "NOOOO!" He cried into the boards, much to Robin's enjoyment.
"Adorable," She giggled.

NOTE: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and I did my best to telegraph the gameplay into writing format. Hopefully, you guys could tell what was happening.
1. Robin calls them by their titles, because she isn't close to them yet. Once Enies Lobby happens she'll be calling them by their names.
2. For this beginning part, they'll be going up to Skypia and won't be doing Water 7/Enies Lobby after Franky joins in.
3. Anything that could count as spoilers has been skipped and will be skipped until they eventually get there. So, I made sure they aren't seeing any future crew mates and Post-Timeskip stuff.
4. The Dressrosa they'll be playing WILL be the Pirate Warriors 4 version, so think of this story as a combination of both 3 and 4. This story will be mainly 3 since it covers all of Pre-Timeskip. This story WILL end at Dressrosa, so yeah.
5. If you guys want me to do Dream Log, then just say so and I'll make a side story of the Strawhats and others playing it.
