Inside an airport somewhere in Canada, an eighteen-year-old dude is wearing a beige trench coat, a murky green shirt, black jeans, and rectangular silver glasses. He has dark brown spikey hair, light brown eyes, and tan skin. He seems to pack some muscles, but his outfit barely shows it.

This is Knick, a contestant from Total Drama. He seems to be waiting for someone, sitting in one of the many provided seats across the airport. He looks at the gate he is at, Gate A23.

Since the last episode of Radiant Redemption, he has been enjoying himself quite a bit. He got fifty grand and feels like he finally has a stable relationship with his girlfriend, even if doubts cloud his mind since that was the same thought process he had with Lucy. Still, this girl feels different.

He puts his hands inside the pockets of his trench coat. He sighs happily. Probably because there are no fans or haters where he is at in the airport. He made sure that the airplane will arrive at a time where not many people will recognize him from the show. Sure, he met a few during his walk to the gate, but nothing extreme like other times where a crowd jumps on you and starts asking questions.

"Can't wait to see you in person again," Knick said to himself. Who is he waiting for?

The answer will now show its reveal. He sees people exiting out of the gate, many of which go get their luggage. He stands and walks closer to find someone. He stops in his tracks once he catches the eye of a female, giving a genuine smile to him.

The female in question is sixteen, has silky black straight long hair reaching her bottom with a few side bangs that reach up to her chin. Her eyes are black, and her skin is Caucasian. She has thin lips and small ears. She stands at five feet and eight inches, sporting a rather skinny pear body. She wears an orange long-sleeved shirt with a white round collar, a navy-blue skirt reaching mid-thigh, black tights, and black flats. She also has an orange butterfly hair clip. Lastly, she has gold butterfly earrings and a matching pendant.

"Hey Knick," She greeted and immediately goes to hug him.

Knick was taken aback by the sudden hug, but he quickly responds with his own hug. "Good to see you again Yves."

That is right, this is Yves. Another contestant from Total Drama. The two got together in their second season and have been doing well in their relationship at the moment. The two stop hugging.

"This is going to be such an experience," Yves admitted, feeling a bit nervous. She rubs the back of her head a bit with her left hand. "The only time I was even in Canada was in Pahkitew Island and Boney Island."

"Well, allow me to give you a tour," Knick told his girlfriend. They give a quick kiss on the lips and then hold hands.

"You didn't bring any luggage with you?" Knick wondered.

"Well… it's a long story," Yves said, a frown growing on her face. She quickly smiles again. "I'm just glad to be with you now."

As the two walk to the exit of the airport, they can hear many voices talking at the same time. In front of them there was no one, but once they look behind it was there. Reporters, fans, and haters. They all circle the couple.

"Yves, how does it feel to be an official Total Drama winner without obtaining the five million dollars?" A busty female reporter asked the dancer.

Yves tries to answer the question, but a different reporter interrupts her. This is one is a young male.

"Do you feel any regret of losing your friends during your run?"

Yves tries to answer his question as well, but more people start talking and asking questions.

"You don't deserve to be the official winner!"

"Should have gotten fifth place!"

"Have you contacted anyone from the show that is not your boyfriend?"

"What were your parent's reactions to seeing your gameplay?"

"This girl cost Ingrid's sanity!"

"Christopher is my favorite; how could you eliminate him?"

"How much you enjoyed destroying every possible friendship?"

Knick notices the anxiety his girlfriend is getting from being bombarded by so many people.

"Do you still have those bandages on your arms to remember every despicable deed you did?"

That question right there broke Yves. Tears start coming from her eyelids. Knick grips her right hand more tightly and runs with her to the exit of the airport, needing to escape the crowd. Of course, these people will make sure to follow them.

Luckily for the couple, a few security guards see the commotion and rapidly create a wall for the two to escape.

"Every one of you deceases this at once," A cop exclaimed. It was the last thing the couple heard before leaving the airport.

Time has passed as it is now night with an establishing shot of the moon next to an apartment building. Inside one of the apartments is where Knick and Yves are. The dancer's girlfriend puts all locks on the door for safety.

"My brother Adam is out of town playing baseball on the road, so it's just going to be you and me for the time being," Knick told his girlfriend.

Yves gazes around the apartment. She is right now in the living room. The space is simple but has a casual vibe to it. There is a black couch that fits four people, a small table with books on it, and a television screen on a wall to watch shows.

She looks further to see the kitchen connected to the living room without a door. It is clean with a counter, cabinets on the wall and ground, and two brown wooden chairs. She bets there is a fridge, but it is not in her view. To her right, she sees a door closed. It is either the bathroom or bedroom.

"I thought your family is well, rich since almost all of them play sports," Yves admitted as she sits on the couch.

"We are," Knick stated as he sits next to his girlfriend. "But Adam wanted his own place once he turned eighteen, so he's staying in this apartment until he gets a big contract in the major leagues. Lucky for me." He begins taking some books into his hands. "Pretty sure my parents would have kicked me out when I turned eighteen if I didn't tell them I was staying at my brother's place."

"Yeah, kicked," Yves said then sighs.

Knick notices her expression. "You're not thinking about what happened earlier today are you?"

"I wasn't until you reminded me," Yves told him coldly. She looks at the ceiling. "It has not been easy since that day."

Knick shrugs and gets up from the couch, still holding some books in his hands. "Eh, you still won the competition. That's all it matters."

Yves narrows her eyes at the journalist as he opens the door connected to the living room. She can take a glimpse to see that it opens to a bedroom with two separate beds.

"I lost the money," Yves said bitterly. "I walked out with nothing." She crosses her arms with frustration. "Should have competed for those fifty grand."

Knick exits out of the bedroom and proceeds to take more books from the living room table. "You and I both know you were not ready to get back into competitions. I did not let you participate for those reasons."

"I can make decisions on my own Knick," Yves told his boyfriend rudely, now having a cold stare in her eyes.

Knick rolls his eyes. He then enters the bedroom once again to drop books there. "You agreed with it, but I guess you do tend to forget things."

"You really want to do this? Now, when I just got here?" Yves told.

Knick closes the door to the bedroom of the apartment. "If we are going to go on about this, the best we need to do is eat and drink. That always helped Lucy and me when we need to discuss stuff." He walks into the kitchen to search for food.

Yves once again sighs. Bickering on their first reunion day? She is just tired. She has been focusing on her health after the Radiant Finale, but the thoughts of making practically everyone her enemy lingers. The dancer looks at the remaining books her boyfriend did not pick up. One of them catches her attention.

The book looks old but has been cleaned from dust. It is almond color and has the title 'Vinolucard Island' in grey.

Yves grabs the book and opens it to give a quick reading. What catches her eyes as she passes pages is a drawing of an orb. She reads a bit of its description.

"You want oven-made pizza or should we order delivery?" Knick asked from the kitchen.

"Is oven pizza even good?" Yves asked as she continues to read.

"Not really, unless you want a steak that has not been seasoned for four days," The journalist spoke.

"We'll do delivery," Yves spoke. She hears the footsteps of the tan Canadian approach her.

"I see you caught your eye on a book," Knick stated.

Yves finishes reading and looks at him. "Where did you get this book?"

Knick grabs a remote from the floor to turn on the television screen. He looks through channels. "Found it at a library that closed down nearby. It caught my interest since I visited the island. Some peculiar stuff in that place."

"Do you think we can go there on a date?" Yves asked playfully.

"No," Knick answered and turns around to see her stand up. "That place is potentially dangerous and…"

Yves pulls him into her for a long kiss on the lips. She lets go and continues with her playful smile. "Please?"

Knick narrows his eyes at her. Wow, that was a good kiss. "Fine, I'll take you to Vinolucard Island."

After a few days of being together, the couple is shown inside a yellow helicopter with a driver. The driver has a short sleeve dark blue button-up shirt with light blue jeans and brown shoes. The pilot has pale skin and wearing sunglasses. Knick is now wearing an orange trench coat. Next to the couple's feet are two reddish-brown bags as they are sitting in their seats.

"I still do not understand why you want a picnic here," Knick said.

"Well, when I visited three islands in less than three weeks, you kind of want to explore more islands," Yves replied.

"Not me, unless it involves cash," The journalist casually said.

The helicopter is now above the island. Yves takes a look at the place.

It has a full stone keep castle. Circling the curtain walls, flanking towers, and turrets that connect is a ten feet tall barricade. The stones of the barricade are seven feet thick, making it hard to knock down without the proper weapons. The curtain walls are twice as high. The flanking towers are three times taller than the barricade.

The gatehouse seems to be broken as the gates are open to the bailey area. The bailey area has a keep, a well, and an outhouse kitchen.

One corner of the island is full of snow while another corner is covered in a strange purple fog.

Yves smiles at the sight, controlling her excitement. The drive of the helicopter then descends to land on the sand. The dancer immediately gets out of the vehicle once its spinning blades stop and runs to the castle.

"Yves, wait!" Knick shouted, but the girl continues to run. He goes and follows her until he hears the pilot's voice.

"Hey, you need to pay at least thirty percent of me taking you two here and back," The pilot reminded.

Knick groans and turns around to walk back towards the helicopter. He takes some money out of the right pocket of his trench coat and gives it to the pilot.

"Here, and you better be back before sundown if you want me to pay you twice as much that you are supposed to take," Knick told him.

"Trust me, I'm making sure the pay is mine," The pilot smiles.

Knick proceeds to go find his girlfriend as the pilot leaves the island with his helicopter.

"Come on, you know we need to be together. Especially in an island this big," The journalist told himself. He stops running to think. Where will Yves end up at?

Thinking of the dancer, she is now on the sixth floor of the keep on the island. She walks around, noticing statues of knights holding spears and shields. These statues are next to the walls, making the hallway look elegant. The color of the floor is the same as the walls. There is a throne at the end of the hall, with two closed wooden doors to the left and right.

The throne looks like it was handcrafted by mahogany wood. The chair features abundant and sturdy frames, huge and high in size. Decorated with elaborate carvings of bat wings and skeleton faces. The armrest rails of the chair have red cotton on top of the wood for comfiness. The red cushion on the seat for people sitting looks also comfortable. The backrest of the seat also has a soft red cushion.

There is a red orb on the throne. Yves now walks slowly towards it. Her hands almost grab the sphere, but she stops.

"I know you're here," Yves said.

Black smoke irrupts behind her. It disappears to show a mighty figure. The man has pale skin, black eyebrows, yellow eyes, and black wavy hair that is covered by a stylish red hat. His outfit consists of a white bowtie, purplish-black suit, and matching pants. His shoes are also black. Lastly, the man wears a red cape and is seven feet tall.

"You're aware of my presence," The man said with a Spain accent, impressed.

"I studied a bit about you and this island before coming here," Yves stated as she turns around to face the person. "King Vinoripmav, the great vampire of Vinolucard Island."

The vampire king smirks. Yves walks away from the throne so the king can sit there. The vampire grabs the orb and holds it in his right hand. Then he sits on his throne.

"Let's cut to the chase, shall we? It's clear you are here for something," Vinoripmav said with an amused look.

Yves makes sure to be in front of him and stare into his eyes. "I read that the orb your holding can change events, correct?"

"I guess you can say that," Vinoripmav spoke, moving the red orb around in his right hand. "It only travels to events, though I can with my power make it change them."

"Well, ever since I betrayed a friend of mine, my entire life got screwed up," Yves told the vampire. "I was wondering if you maybe could make that event never happen?"

"First of all, I just don't use my power for any human unless I receive something in return," Vinoripmav told her. "Second, I need to know about this event to use everything correctly."

"Then I'll tell you everything and my offer," Yves stated, wondering deep down inside if she should do this.

Knick enters the keep of the castle. The walls are white with red stains all over. There are also many paintings on the walls. The floor has a nice red with black vertical stripes carpet in the center. The floor is painted a golden yellow. Two tall brown stairs go up to various floors of the keep. On the ceiling of the first floor are six chandeliers unlit. Around the first floor are various ten feet tall taper candle holders also unlit. There are windows made of glass.

"I know we only been with each for less than a month, but I am sure she wondered off here," Knick said to no one in particular, acting as if he was using a confessional booth from Total Drama. He realizes what he is doing and groans. "Despise this habit I got from the show." He walks up some stairs.

Back with Yves and King Vinoripmav, the vampire turns his eyes velvet, and his hands start glowing yellow. He stands up and levitates the red orb between him and the dancer, creating a yellow aura around the sphere.

"The entire world is about to forget that Yves was responsible for Sami's elimination," Vinoripmav said.

"Wait, what will happen if we change that event?" Yves asked the vampire.

The king puts his hands together. He then makes movements with his hands, still levitating the orb in place at the same time.

"Will I do later it on or will somebody else get rid of her?" Yves asked another question.

"I can only change the event, not foresee the future of its result," The king answered as he continues moving his hands to create yellow and red mystical circles around the two.

"Wait, do I not make it to the merge because of Christopher?" Yves for the third time asked a question.

"Stop talking I'm concentrating," Vinoripmav said, focusing on performing his magic.

"Do I make it to the finale?" Yves questioned and gasps, realizing something big. "Do Knick and I never get together?"

"This is much harder than it looks," The king responded as more mystical red and yellow circles appear.

Knick arrives on the sixth floor and sees everything gone. He is confused, what is his girlfriend doing with the vampire?

"Yves?" Knick called out.

Hearing his voice, Yves turns around. She accidentally hits the red orb with her left shoulder. "Knick?"

"The orb!" Vinoripmav exclaimed in dismay as it hits the floor. The part of the orb that hits the floor breaks a bit, looking like glass shattered.

No longer concentrated, the king accidentally moves his right hand to a mystic circle, touching it. This makes all the mystical circles turn orange. What is worst is that the broken part of the orb creates strong winds and orange clouds, making Knick unable to see what is going and not get close. The clouds engulf Yves and King Vinoripmav.

"What is happening?" Yves exclaimed with fear.

The vampire stays silent, hoping whatever happens to them does not cause too much damage. The strong winds stop and the orange clouds clear. However, Yves and Vinoripmav are gone in the hallway. The broken orb is also gone. What remains is the few small shatter pieces.

Knick quickly goes to grab some of the pieces in his left hand.

"Where did you go?" He pondered, now all alone.

Pitch black darkness is on display until Yves opens her eyes. She knows she is sitting on a chair since she is not standing, and the seat is quite comfy. She decides to look around her surroundings. She is inside a massive dome and notices several teens sitting in chairs next to her. The only person she recognizes is Buck, a contestant she participated in Total Drama Back to the Islands and Radiant Redemption.

Buck has dirty blonde hair that looks like a mullet. His eyes are blue and has a nice tan from being in the sun for a lot of time. He has a few front crooked teeth and is five feet and eleven inches. He has an excellent body for lifting and pulling stuff. He wears an unbuttoned red flannel shirt over a white shirt, ripped blue skinny jeans, a brown leather belt, and worn-down brown boots. Some parts of the shirt and pants are covered in motor oil stains.

"What?" Yves wondered, further upon looking at the room with a landing pad and plane near it.

"Welcome campers," The voice of Chris McLean is heard. The dashing host walks up to a podium to see all contestants.

There is a short girl beside him about twelve years in age. Huge glasses that cover her bright blue eyes, brunette hair done loosely in a ponytail. Red polo shirt with a robot face in the center. Lime long green sleeve shirt under it. Baggy black pants, white socks, and white sneakers. This is Dana Starshine

"Welcome to Cali-Tokyo, home of Total Drama Mega Mechas," Dana said.

"Huh?" Yves exclaimed with confusion. What is going on?

A new scene commences with King Vinoripmav and her at night near a broken building, conversating above the full moon that shines on the dome.

"We tampered with the stability of space and time," The vampire king told Yves. He shows the broken orb to her in his left hand. "The multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little."

King Vinoripmav narrates a bit as different scenes arrive.

Yves, Buck, Chris, Dana, and the other contestants see a snow-covered mountain with a large wood cabin on top that ascends from the ground.

"If you get voted out, we may never be able to repair the orb," The king told as a scene shows Yves dodging sword slashes from a robot pirate skeleton at night.

"But the longer we stay the more damage this universe beholds," The king continued as Buck and Yves are shown working on an iron suit in a bedroom.

Another scene comes in with a grenade being thrown into one of the hallways. It is unknown who threw it. A maniacal laugh is heard as the grenade explodes, creating dark green smoke.

Now there is a pitch-black void once again.

"Be careful what you wish for Jimenez-Chui," The voice of Henry said, another contestant that was on the Total Drama show.

The last part demonstrates Yves, Buck, and two other contestants looking nervous at something. They are watching a mutated Venus flytrap coming out of gray smoke and digs itself into the ground. A figure steps out from the smoke, showing all four Venus flytraps that are connected to her back.

The girl has curly long unkempt black hair and orange skin. She is only five feet. She looks lanky but does not have any physical disabilities. Her outfit consists of black frame goggles covering her eyes, a torn-up dark green hoodie covering up some of her hair, torn-up baggy jeans, yellow gloves, long black socks, and brown work boots.

The Venus flytrap that dug underground gets out to show the mutant human completely.

"Hello Yves," The mutant girl said.

Yves suits up in an orange iron suit to fight her. She runs to get some speed to deliver an attack.

"Excuse me miss, the plane has landed," A flight attendant told Yves, who is sleeping in the first class of the plane.

Yves wakes up thanks to the woman's voice. She puts her right hand on her forehead. "Sorry, had a deep sleep."

"Go get some rest when you can," The flight attendant advised her.

Yves gets up from her seat and exits the plane. Then exits the gate she was in and sees her boyfriend Knick waiting for her.

Normally I do not do an author's note for my short stories, but this one is an exception. This short story is inspired by a movie trailer. Since Yves has appeared in many TD SYOC stories, I instantly wanted to write this. This might evolve into something bigger in the future, but for now, it will remain like this.
