Attack of the Insane Love Obsession Sapphire!
Izuku is seen sitting on bleachers writing down some notes in his notebook which some would think it's about his homework from school, but he is writing more the analysis of his own powers along with the other Young Justice members.
"(I wonder how the training is going for Jessica.)" Izuku thought wondered as he looks up at the sky.
(With Jessica)
Jessica is seen flying fast in space doing some fighting training against another Green Lantern member who is also from earth, Hal Jordan as he goes in landing some fierce strikes on her as he makes a green spiked golfclub. Jessica flies down narrowly avoid the club and made a giant ice-cream scooper throwing Hal in a distance.
Hal regains his balance quickly to attack Jessica doing some flying clash onto each other for a bit until they stop.
"This is it!" Hal grinned and made a pole.
"I got you pinned in the tent, starting at the all-out blitz." Hal talked in sport terms.
"Wait, what? What does that mean?" Jessica confused, which is what Hal was hoping for as he changes at her.
Jessica quickly creates a green pole of her own blocking the attack and defend against a few more of Hal's strong hits, then they enter into a power struggle trying to push one another back.
"No, no, no!" A pink alien pig man shouted.
Jessica and Hal look up seeing their combat couch, Kilowog is giving them a firm look and tapping their shoulders meaning he wants them down on the small asteroid he is standing on right now, the two did that to see what's up.
"I don't get it, Cruz, what's the plan here? Hope the pizza guy happens by and distracts him?" Kilowog asked.
"Distraction is a good strategy." Hal commented.
"Quiet, Jordan! If you were fighting anyone other than this poozer, you'd be in the infirmary right now." Kiowog stated.
"Hurtful, but understandable. And I told you, Kiowog. Jess doesn't fight nor believes in them." Hal said, this made Kilowog look anger and turns to Jessica.
"In the Green Lantern Corps, everyone fights." Kilowog formed a hammer and attacks Jessica as she quickly makes a shield.
"We are sworn to protect the universe which is a very heavy weight, and you can only carry that weight you have a strong willpower. Fear weakens your mind; it renders you useless to carry that weight. And you need to carry your own weight too!" Kilowog lectured while striking at Jessica's shield slowly breaking until he shattered it pushing her toward the edge.
Hal gasp that this lesson is getting a little more intense right now.
"Why won't you fight back? You are afraid of the weight or death?" Kilowog asked as he lift his hammer.
"I'm not afraid!" Jessica launched a green octopus on Kilowog's head struggling to get it off.
"She's beating you with sushi!" Hal laughed a little.
Kilowog got the octopus off only to see Jessica is down with a smirk and pulls her green carpet causing him to fall on his back.
"I just believe that when it comes to fighting, there's always another way." Jessica stated.
"What was that you were saying about distractions?" Hal asked chuckling earning a glare from the couch.
"You got lucky." Kilowog said to Jessica and got back up.
"Well, you won't be able to keep that up forever. Soon or later, you will have to learn to fight." Kilowog stated.
Jessica looks at Kilowog with a firm look believing that she can prove the pig alien is wrong about violence being the only solution in protecting the universe and the earth.
(With Izuku)
Izuku closed his notebook as he is finish with over going a few things for today then look up at the sky again seeing a couple of green lights flying down, he immediately went to the spot they landed on seeing Jessica and Hal transform back into their normal clothes.
"Jessica, how did the training go?" Izuku asked.
"Oh, is this the guy who knows about you and the rings?" Hal asked as he remembers Jessica mentioning about a guy who is already informed about the Green Lantern Corp.
"Yep, this is Izuku Midoriya, also hero as Deku. And Izuku, this here is Hal Jordan, sports' jockey and a fellow Green Lantern, but also has a big ego." Jessica mocked a little at the last part.
"Hey!" Hal offended from that.
"Nice to meet you, training in space must be pretty amazing." Izuku looked up at the sky.
"Oh yeah, I never get tired of going up there whenever I need to." Hal chuckled.
"Unless you have to deal with an angry pig warrior." Jessica said upset walking away.
"Is everything okay, Jess?" Izuku asked concern.
"She's just upset about our combat couch, Kilowog scolding her that she has to fight as if her is on the line which does have a fair point." Hal explained.
"Oh Hal, must you be so wrong about so many things?" Jessica said while holding her hair.
"Jessica, I know you don't want to hurt anyone. But you have to understand the villains you may face in the future will show no mercy, no remorse, won't hesitate to even killed innocent lives in cold blood to get what they want unless you put a stop to them hard or else they'll use that kind nature against you." Izuku pointed out strongly.
"Whoa, that was really deep, man." Hal surprised, feeling heavy in the heart from hearing that.
"I had plenty of experience facing villains like that." Izuku mentioned which reminds Jessica of seeing Izuku's memories of those times.
"I get what you're saying, Izuku, but I still want to search for a way to end battles without anyone getting hurt." Jessica said.
"But you also know that you will have to fight someone when they're not robots." Izuku stated.
Then a couple of girls and the Hamster mascot of the school cheers at Hal for him to do well in the game tonight.
"Nibble on. Whoo! Hey. Go, Hamsters!" Hal replied back at them.
"Life isn't like a sports match, Hal. There are more ways to perform a touchdown than punching people." Jessica scolded.
"Hey, football is more than that." Hal snapped a little.
"I never actually seen a football game before, so this will be my first time." Izuku said, then suddenly got grabbed by Hal.
"Dude, how do you NOT watch football?!" Hal asked gasping.
"Because I never found the time to watch one before." Izuku answered nervously.
"Well, you're going to be blown away by how awesome the sport is and me taking home the win!" Hal smirked causing Jessica to roll her eyes.
However, Hal suddenly became scared when he saw the opposing team arriving on their bus and quickly hid behind Jessica.
"Hal, what are you doing?" Jessica asked, she and Izuku find this sudden behavior confusing.
"I didn't know we were playing the Coast City Sharks." Hal worried before hiding behind Izuku.
"Wait, is the great and fearless Hal Jordan actually afraid of the other team?" Jessica laughed, finding this funny.
"It's not the team I'm afraid of." Hal said before jumping to hide behind a trashcan.
"I finally got tracked down... By my greatest enemy." Hal narrowed his eyes at one of the cheerleaders stepping out of the bus.
"Do you mean one of the cheerleaders?" Izuku puzzled at this.
"Exactly, her name is Carol Ferris and trust me when I say you don't want to mess with her." Hal warned as he peeks over to see Carol.
Carol is a teenage girl who has purplish black hair that tied in a large ponytail with a pink bow, a pale fair skin, and dark pink eyes. She wears a red cheerleading outfit. Breasts sizes: DD-cup.
Carol's eyes widen when she saw Hal hiding behind a trashcan, and she glares before walking away from her group.
"I think she saw me!" Hal gasped.
"Oh, stop it, you big baby. She doesn't look dangerous, I'm sure she is just… harmless." Jessica said right before a violet-pink light illuminates from behind the bleachers.
Then suddenly Carol came flying above the crowd now in a new outfit. her body and eyes emit a pink aura. Her hair is down and loose, and she wears her lantern power ring on her right hand. She wears princess-themed clothing, including a pink tutu with puffy sleeves and white high collar, along with white elbow-length gloves and matching knee-length socks, and pink high heels.
"Thought you got rid of me, didn't you, Hal Jordan? Well, now, YOU'RE MINE!" Carol shouted in loving rage and unleashed destructive pink heart-shape blasts, and one hit the trashcan Hal was hiding behind.
"You belong to me, Hal Jordan! Show your face, HAL JORDAN!" Carol shouted causing destruction on the field.
Luckily for Hal, he was saved by Izuku using his superspeed and hide behind two food carts and Jessica quickly joins this.
"A supervillain cheerleader, didn't see that coming." Izuku commented despite his experience facing villains before coming to this world.
"What's going on? Who is this girl?" Jessica asked Hal.
"When she is like this, she is called Star Sapphire, and she's super clingy." Hal answered.
"I can see that. Is she some kind of super evil maniacal space princess or something?" Jessica asked as she looks over to see Carol, now as Star Sapphire, recks the field.
"Worse! She's... my ex-girlfriend." Hal revealed.
"Wait, what?" Izuku and Jessica gasped.
The two food carts get destroyed from more of Star Sapphire's blasts causing the three green-themed heroes to run towards a new hiding place.
"Leave it to you to date a super villain." Jessica said.
"Hey, she wasn't always a villain." Hal stated.
"Then why does she look like a predator wanting to kill her pray?" Izuku asked.
"It's a complicated story." Hal said before another blast hit the ground close to them.
"We better stop her before she destroys the school." Izuku pulled out his hero costume from his backpack.
"Right, as Kilowog would say, "Let's stop this bruiser."" Jessica said as she and Hal hold up their hand with the green rings.
"In brightest day, in blackest night." Jessica started the Green Lantern incantation.
"No evil shall escape my sight." Hal said.
"Let those who worship evil's might..." Jessica said.
"Beware our power..." Hal grinned.
"Green Lantern's Light!" Hal and Jessica finished together as their rings glow brightly to become Green Lanterns together.
"Okay, I'm ready. How about you… two?" Izuku paused when he saw Jessica is now Green Lantern, but Hal is not for some reason.
"What's wrong with your ring?" Jessica asked.
"I don't know, I know I charged it this morning." Hal confused then Jessica gasp in realization.
"Hal! Are you scared?" Jessica asked smirking.
"Dude! She really freaks me out." Hal admitted before suddenly got blast closely by Star Sapphire.
"We need to hide him until we can figure this out." Deku said.
"Quick, in the locker room!" Jessica pointed at the doors to the locker room, and they start running/flying from Star Sapphire.
"You can't hide from my love, Hal Jordan!" Star Sapphire blasted more burning hearts at him.
Deku kicks a few of them away and Jessica forms a ball shield around them to be protected from the heart blasts.
"What did you do to her?" Jessica asked.
"Nothing. She's just mad 'cause I broke up with her." Hal answered.
"Worst. Text. EVER!" Star Sapphire cried.
"Wait!" Jessica stopped the ball causing Hal to crash onto it before she disform it. "You broke up with her over text?"
"I put a smiley face in it. I'm not the Joker." Hal tried to defend himself but fail.
"Well, now there's a frowny face... On my heart!" Star Sapphire created a big heart with a frowny face.
Deku quickly got Hal up and they ran for the locker room.
"Did you ever think something like this would happen when you sent that text?" Deku asked.
"No, I didn't think she would become a Violet Lantern when I dated her." Hal shrugged.
"How could you do that to her? That's the lowest thing you've ever done." Jessica scolded.
"You broke my heart. I cry myself to sleep every night." Star Sapphire cried as the frowny face heart became a little bigger.
"This is why I broke up with you!" Hal yelled.
Deku turns around blasting a strong wind pressure blast from his fingers sending Star Sapphire back along with the frowny face heart.
The three young heroes burst into the locker room believing they are safe for now, then they saw all the guys inside.
"Girl!" One guy shouted and all the guys panicked as they quickly leave the locker room.
Then Jessica smacks Hal in the head hard.
"Ow, come on! I said she wasn't always a villain." Hal repeated.
"You mentioned she's a Violet Lantern, is that different from the Greens?" Deku asked.
"Yep, like how our rings are powered by willpower. Violet Lanterns, like Carol, are powered by love." Hal explained.
"And how did you discovered her being one?" Deku asked.
"When I saw a violet glowing ring fly down towards her when I moved away from Coast City six months ago." Hal answered.
"Wow, I guess obsession can count as love… in a way." Jessica commented.
"I never knew she would be like this until I did." Hal sighed.
"So, how long have you two dated exactly?" Izuku asked.
"Ten months. Few girls I dated before her only lasted for two months at best, but Carol was different and thought she could be my girl when I used to live in Coast City as the courterback of the Shark team." Hal answered.
"Wow, sounds like you really cared for her." Jessica surprised to hear this from Hal.
"I did and we had good times. But I started to notice how super jealous she can be when other girls would try just talking to me, she would freak out and try tearing them apart. She sends me five or ten text messages every morning and night, I thought it was cute at first until it became boring and annoying fast. She even stalks me wherever I go when I'm alone and not with her, and I mean EVERYWHERE I go like in the bathroom." Hal explained how his days was with Carol.
"Oh, oh wow, I can see why you would want to break up with her. But why didn't you do it face-to-face instead through a text?" Jessica asked.
"Believe me, I tried telling her that we should call it off, like hundreds of times but she always dodges the subject with a joke or distracting me with my favorite things." Hal exclaimed.
"That's when my big brother gave me the idea to text her, when we had to move because my mom got a new job in Metropolis as a workout instructor and my dad as a test pilot." Hal revealed causing Jessica and Deku to facepalm themselves.
"Hal, your brother is an idiot and you're an idiot for listening to him." Jessica deadpanned then suddenly another explosion happened outfit.
"We need to stop her now. Jessica, hold her in place." Deku said before blitzing out and Jessica follows from behind.
They dodge Star Sapphire's blasts as Deku distracts her with some air blast of his own, the villain of love dodges them and blast some more which gave Jessica the opening she needs to create green chains wrapping around her and Deku flew above her.
"Italy Smash!" Deku kicked Carol so hard that her impact on the ground causes a big crater.
"Don't think this will stop me from getting back my beloved Hal!" Carol shouted before Deku came down with a foot on her stomach.
"I think you're done hurting Hal as you are now." Deku said.
"What was that?" Carol asked, staring at him angry.
"What you're doing you claim to be love, it's more of an unhealthy obsession that is destroying your love life how you caused him to break up with you through a text." Deku stated.
"No, he's just confused. He'll love me again and we'll be together forever!" Star Sapphire proclaimed.
"But this isn't love! It's obsession! Hal told me all the things you've done after you two started dating including the stalking, all those things are unhealthy obsession and deep down, you know it's true." Deku pointed out.
"No, I was just…" Carol tried to deny it, but the words he says are making her believe they are true. However, she wouldn't let that stop her.
"NO!" Star Sapphire shouted breaking out of Jessica's chains and flew up.
"You will NOT stand in the way of my love for Hal! I will make him love me again if it's the last thing I… do." Star Sapphire shocked of Deku instantly right in her face staring with his glowing green eyes.
"Detroit Smash!" Deku threw the powerful punch sending Carol flying out of the scene as she screams.
"Sorry, Jessica. I know you wanted to stop this without violence." Izuku apologized.
"That's fine, but I think you gotten through to her for a moment. Which means there is still a chance for her yet." Jessica believed.
"Let's hope so." Deku looked in the direction he punches Carol in.
"Dios mío, eres el hombre más asombroso y sexy que he conocido." Jessica talked in Spanish feeling the love.
"What?" Deku asked.
"Nothing!" Jessica quickly said with her cheeks blushing a little.
"Hey, is everything okay?" Hal asked running up to them.
"Yeah, did a little talking though it didn't go well, so I sent her away." Deku explained.
"Sent her away, how?" Hal asked.
"Let just leave it as that, but it looks like you may see more of her now that she knows where you live." Jessica stated.
"Great." Hal facepalmed himself, then suddenly transformed into his Green Lantern uniform that bewildered Deku and Jessica as Hal started to notice this too.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Hal grunted.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The episode "#HateTriangle" was crazy, but fun to make as Deku has entered the crazy thing about love just like he was in with one crazy girl for blood. The history between Carol and Hal I put in were ideas from another writer Pixel's Fanbook and his DC Superhero Girls X My Hero Academia story, which is amazing! Let's hope Deku can handle another crazy girl in this world.
