Super Handling on the Supergirl Jealousy

Everything in Metropolis seems peaceful for a bright morning until a car is driving fast breaking the speed limit rules driven by a man with a red ski mask and a tiny red cape.

"HAHAHA! I got all them pretty jewels before those idiots even knew what happened! I like to see another thief do that." The red-masked jewel thief laughed.

"How about you find that out behind bars?" Superman asked causing the thief to turn his head to see the Man of Steel.

"Superman! You ain't getting me alive!" The jewel thief angered.

"I have to, how else are you going in jail?" Superman shrugged, then suddenly got blinded by the thief throwing a very hot towel in the face.

"Hope you enjoy your towel treatment!" The jewel thief laughed as he drove away.

Suddenly Deku landed on the street and clutching his right fist to get for a big uppercut.

"One for All 10%: Detroit Smash!" Deku threw the uppercut causing the car to go up for a bit then fell backward.

The red-masked jewel thief is groaning in pain with his eyes swirling of dizziness from the sudden attack of that hero, Deku rips the door open and pull the thief out just as Superman lands next to him.

"Good work, Deku. You certainly got the upper "Hand" on that." Superman punned with a gentle pat on the back.

"Thank you, sir. Just doing what any hero would do." Deku smiled.

"I'll take the thief to the police; you should be getting to school by now." Superman offered as he took the jewel thief from Deku.

"Sure thing. Oh, before I go, there is something I wanted to ask you." Deku said.

"What is it?" Superman allowed Deku to ask his question.

"Well, I was just wondering about my friend, Supergirl, your cousin." Deku mentioned.

"Ah, Kara Zor-El, how is she doing. Hasn't cause any trouble with your group, has she?" Superman wondered.

"No, no, she's doing fine though can be a bit hard to handle. What I wanted to ask is why does she hate?" Deku asked the question.

"Wait, she hates me?" Superman shocked.

"Yeah, every time I wanted to ask her about you and the planet you both came from, she would seem to get angry about how you're always got the glory and people's attention when she could barely get any respond on her hero duty." Deku explained.

"Oh, that…" Superman sighed, understanding what Deku is talking about. Then Superman quickly knock the thief unconscious, so he doesn't hear their conversation and they flew together.

"Well, in the very close moments when our home planet was about to be destroyed, our parents build rocket ship for each of us going to the same planet together, but her ship got a little damage and was in stasis for years during my time on earth. I grew up with a lot of complications as you know until I became the hero I am today, then Kara came to earth, and I tried to help her, but she has been…" Superman tried to think of a good word to say about Kara's personality.

"Impatient like a raging bull?" Deku guessed.

"Yeah, exactly! She's trying too hard on becoming a hero and gets mad when people compare her to me since we basically have the same background story and powers, and that gave her the angry-jealous feeling towards me." Superman pointed out.

"I can understand a little of that, I knew someone who tried hard to outshine another hero who inspired others trying to use any means he can use." Deku recalled Endeavor and his family problems.

"I have been getting worried for her of how she tries to do things, even having to move from Smallville after an incident, but when saw her with you and those other girls. It made me happy to see that she right and joined a team." Superman smiled.

"And something tells me you helped her the most." Superman said.

"I don't think I did anything much, just doing the best I can as a friend." Deku stated.

"Just a friend? Well, I kind of figured you two would be going out." Superman teased with a grin causing Deku to almost lose focus of his flight.

"Us? Going out? It's nothing like that?!" Deku stuttered with his face blushing under his mask.

"Sure, whatever you say, just promise me that you'll look after Kara and help her become the hero she can be and maybe stop being obsessed trying to outdo me." Superman said.

"I'll do the very best I can, Plus Ultra!" Deku promised with the UA High School motto.

"Plus Ultra? That sounds pretty cool." Superman commented.

"And I believe your school is that way." Superman pointed the way.

"Right, I should get going. It was an honor teaming up with you, Superman." Deku saluted.

"You too, Deku. And maybe check your phone when you get to your school." Superman winked before zooming away to drop the thief off the police.

Deku didn't understand what he meant by that and decided to find out right when he gets to school as he quickly flew away.

(Metropolis High School, Locker)

Deku managed to get his school on time changing into his normal clothing and got his things from his locker, then decided to take a quick look at his phone like Superman told him and became very surprise that there is a picture of himself as Deku, Superman, and the jewel thief they caught.

"How did he even have time to do that?" Izuku wondered thinking Superman is super more than he thought.

Izuku put his phone away and make his way to his first period as he flinches back a little when he saw Kara walking out of the newspaper room looking all angry.

"M-Morning, Kara." Izuku greeted nervously.

"Not in the mood, Izuku! I need to go punch something before class." Kara growled and walks away, with each stomp causes a slight earthquake.

"I hope something bad didn't happen to her." Izuku concerned.

"More like something already did." Jessica commented as she came out seeing Kara leaves in anger.

"She's just mad because of Superman the main talk in the city, and he ended up on our school's newspaper when Jimmy, our cameraman, took a picture of him yesterday." Jessica explained.

"Then it's a good thing I didn't show her the picture of Superman and Deku." Izuku relieved.

"Hold the phone, did you just say Superman and Deku together?" A young woman asked with a curious look on her face.

Before Izuku could answer that, the young woman grabs him by the shirt pulling him into the newspaper room all the way to her desk.

"Alright, kid, show me the picture. If this is legit then I might consider hiring you to be our second camera man." The girl offered.

"Huh, what?" Izuku confused of what is happening right now.

"I'm pretty sure he's not into news reporting, Lois." Jessica stated.

"This is Lois Lane, the editor-in-chief of the school's Daily Planetoid newspaper." Jessica introduced to her newspaper manager.

Lois has black hair that is tied into a messy bun with some pencils sticking out and purple eyes. She has pink glasses above and wears an oversized cardigan. She sports dark blue pants and black flats. Breasts sizes: E-cup.

"Nice to meet you, and I just huh, took this picture my chance when I saw the fight scene." Izuku showed the picture to Lois.

"Well, if by chance you mean making our school's paper a big name then this can definitely make it happen!" Lois impressed as another guy saw this giving Izuku a thumb up.

"Oh yeah, he deserves more than a thumbs up, Jimmy Olsen. This guy here is our photographer and a man of fewer words." Lois said as Jimmy waves at Izuku.

"Well, you can have the picture. I'm just a big hero fan like the Young Justice." Izuku said.

"Ah yes, the Young Justice, newest teen heroes in town became big in the news from the pier incident with Lena Luthor." Lois recalled.

"So, was Kara here by any chance complaining about… Superman being in the school's paper?" Izuku asked.

"Actually, yeah, she was. Don't know why this is eating her, it sounds like she's not a Superman fan." Lois confused of Kara's reaction earlier.

"I think it's because she sees Supergirl as a better hero, she's one of the heroes of Young Justice." Izuku showed her an acritical of Supergirl with the rest of the team from their debut.

"Oh, that's Supergirl! Of course, I should've known with the costume and the powers so similar to Superman." Lois realized, then she was offered a cup of water by Izuku.

"I thought I get you something because you look like you haven't slept in a day or two." Izuku explained.

"Huh, most people wouldn't notice that because I'm always trying to find the next big scoop." Lois impressed that he was able to see that on her.

"Well, it just you seem to be okay on the outside though it's because of messy your hair is and the pencils sticking out along with the little bangs under her eyes shows that you only gotten a few hours or less of sleep in the night." Izuku mumbled on again.

"Whoa, whoa, easy there, kid. You're already making my brain confuse with that smarty talk." Lois said snapping Izuku out of his mumbling.

"Sorry about that, it's a habit." Izuku chuckled embarrass.

"(A cute hábito.)" Jessica thought smiled.

"Anyway, do you think you can put some pictures of Supergirl to help cheer Kara up?" Izuku asked.

"I could if we can get some photos of her doing hero things." Lois said.

"Olsen! We're going to find this Supergirl and take some shots of right after school!" Lois ordered and Jimmy nods.

"(After school, no doubt Kara is gonna try to make people notice her then I better tag along.)" Izuku thought.

"Well, it was nice meeting you." Izuku said as he walks away.

"I got to say, that kid sure got a strong when he had that concern look when mentioning about Kara and got strong eyes too." Lois complimented.

"Izuku has always had a strong heart, caring for others more than his own being." Jessica stated.

Lois looks down at the cup of water Izuku have her with a smile thinking about wanting to get to know that kid more.

(Later)

"Alright, time to show this town what hero Supergirl is." Supergirl smirked as she flies over the city.

"I hope with Deku's help." Deku said as he flew after her.

"Dude, what are you doing following me?" Supergirl asked surprise.

"I thought about making a little name for myself too, and showing that Supergirl is an amazing hero too, that is if you don't mind sharing the glory." Deku explained.

Supergirl wanted to reject his offer as she wanted to do her hero thing along to show off that she can be better than her once younger cousin, but her heart is telling her to let him come along and thought about having him around could be good for her rep to show she is a good team player.

"Okay, you can come but you better not make me look bad or else you'll be getting a fist that'll send you to the sun." Kara playfully threatened.

"Wouldn't dream of it." Deku nodded.

The two young heroes soar through the city patrolling to see if there are any crimes and other bad things to stop, until they spotted a muscular thug stealing an old lady's purse and Supergirl tackled the guy down bringing the purse back to the old lady.

Then Deku's Danger Sense went off alerting him of a nearby danger as he turns around seeing an armored truck bursting out of a bank, Deku quickly catches it with his Black Whip trying to keep it from escape until Superman appears taking the engine out. The people cheer for Deku and Superman for stopping the bank robbery while Supergirl growls that her cousin shows up, and Lois and Jimmy got some pictures of them too.

"What was that about?" Kara asked Deku angry.

"Stopping the bank robbers?" Deku confused of the question.

"I mean you going off taking all the glory with my dumb cousin which you should've been helping me." Supergirl pointed out.

"I just happened all of a sudden, promise. These kinds of thigs will do that when you least expected." Izuku stated.

"Well, I expect you to be by my side when we save the day." Supergirl glared.

"I promise, by your side!" Deku nodded rapidly.

"Better, now let's go find some other crime to burst for glory!" Supergirl excited, hugging Deku with a one-arm bone crushing hug.

"Yay!" Deku cheered nervously and groaning.

For over the next week, Supergirl and Deku have done some hero saving the day that got the people's attention on them which she hopes they'll also focus on her too, but a certain cousin of hers kept entering the scene either helping or cheering for them.

Saving a train from falling over into the water below. Stopping a meteor by breaking it down into smaller, harmless rocks. Saving the beach from a sudden shark attack.

For every danger those two stops together, Superman somehow keeps on entering the scene to "help" them which were mere coincidence as he just wants to help like they are, but Kara doesn't see that seeing his face on the newspapers with them making her angrier.

That's when Kara had enough and decided to talk with Superman now.

"Hey!" Supergirl shouted getting his attention.

"Supergirl, Deku, out patrolling too?" Superman asked friendly.

"No, just here to tell you to back off!" Supergirl shouted.

"I don't follow." Superman confused.

"I've been working my butt off for days trying to save people in Metropolis. But every time I do something to prove I'm a hero, there you are—"

"Being a hero, like you two are?" Superman raised an eyebrow.

"Yes! I... I mean no. Ah uh, I, I mean..." Supergirl struggled to make a good backtalk.

"Supergirl, I told you before these things just happen without any warning and such. Not to mention your cousin has been kind enough to share the spotlight with the only family he has left in the universe." Deku said getting between the two Kryptonians.

"And being a hero takes time to earn the people's respect just like I have to being the man now." Superman added.

"Like an adult? Ha! You were Superboy, like, last summer!" Supergirl mocked.

"First off, I was Superboy from 12 to 15. Second, you have to be patient to get what you want." Superman said.

"How about you get out of my face!" Supergirl prepared to throw a punch, but Deku stop her with Black Whip.

"Supergirl, you have to calm down and talk things out." Deku advised.

"I'll show you calm!" Supergirl grabbed the Black Whip spinning around fast which smack Deku onto Superman to be caught in the pain and thrown away.

Supergirl charges at the boys as Deku charges at her using 80% of One for All clashing his fists against her for a moment until Superman came grabbing her from behind.

"Supergirl, stop! This is ridiculous." Superman said.

But she didn't listen as she threw him off as they flew throughout the city causing little damage as Superman and Deku are being careful, but one blast from Supergirl's heat vision causes one piece of pipe to fall onto a switch causing some green toxic substance to come out into a trash of toxic waste and forming into a green monster.

"Opportunity just knocked, kiddo. Ready to earn that Daily Planetinternship?" Lois asked Jimmy as he nods.

"Hey, goo guts! Turn around and smile for the camera!" Lois tossed a rock, but when it splashes into the goo monster, its fluid splashed some of its surrounding causing them to melt.

The monster turns around roaring at the woman and walks toward her and Jimmy who became scared.

"On second thought, run now, pictures later!" Lois decided as she and Jimmy run for their life.

Karen saw this and quickly change into Bumblebee.

"Please Kara, you should know how proud he is toward you." Deku said.

"What, he is?" Supergirl shocked stopping her punch.

"HELP?!" Lois shouted catching Supergirl and Superman's super hearing.

They all look down seeing the green goo monster and they quickly go down to stop it seeing it can melt anything it touches, even its feet making holes.

"Superman! Supergirl! Deku! I know what that is!" Bumblebee flied up to them.

"You do?" Deku asked.

"It's filled with hydrogen fluoride and antimony pentafluoride! It's 20 quintillion times more corrosive than sulfuric acid!" Bumblebee informed, but Supergirl didn't get it.

"It's a really dangerous glop." Deku transplanted.

"Exactly! Don't even try to throw a powerful punch at it or else it'll reduce Metropolis to a smoking hole in the ground!" Bumblebee warned.

"So, how do we stop it?" Superman asked.

"It's just like in the chemistry class I did with Supergirl. High temperatures can break chemicals down to their base elements!" Bumblebee stated. Once again, Kara has no idea what she's talking about.

"Use heat to blow it up, but make sure it's away from the city." Deku said.

"We can do that." Superman looked at Supergirl, believing in her and this time, she is accepting his help.

Both Super cousin flew at the glop monster carrying it into outer space, then heat it up with their combined heat vision causing the monster to explode.

They flew back down and loud cheers are made from the people who have witnessed that.

"What Deku said about you being proud of me, was that true?" Supergirl asked.

"Yes, I've always believed you can be a great hero, you just need to believe in yourself more than comparing yourself to others, and I'm even proud that you found some great friends to help you." Superman gestured to Deku and Bumblebee.

"Yeah, they are great." Supergirl looked at Deku feeling her heart racing again.

"Superman! Supergirl! Can I get a picture of you two together?" Lois asked as Jimmy held his camera at them.

Both alien cousins look at each other smiling for a second then held each other in arms and fist bump as the picture is taken and the next day, the newspaper shows them together.
