A few days after Paul and Rick made an agreement to sell the mineral at an auction house in the state of Washington.

Paul was given a link to watch the auction stream live, so he can watch the final price of the mineral, as he wouldn't be able to attend the auction.

He was awaiting for his item number to be called out. Paul had to pay a small fee of 50 dollars to enter the auction which wasn't any trouble at all. Trusting Rick and his buddy Marcus, that he'll make a whole lot more than 50 dollars with this mineral, plus the 20K he lost from Drakcoin NFTs.

He would also have to give a cut to the auction house and to Rick's buddy. Rick would also receive 30% of Marcus' money for finding the place to sell the mineral. It was a small percentage, but he wouldn't mind giving them a few thousand dollars and of course... the taxes.

After an hour and a half of items coming, going and being sold. It was finally the moment he was waiting for.

"Okay, Item Number 309, is an 18 carat jadeite necklace."

Paul heard his item number being read out by the auctioneer.

"This was found in the Cambodian Jungle by an anonymous person, most likely an explorer. It was shaped and cut into a beautiful necklace as you can see right here. Is has been authenticated and verified. This is in fact a real jadeite mineral. What you see is what you get."

Paul watched the crowd come close to the necklace to have a look, it appeared to be a lot high rollers, collectors, tycoons... Simply people who have a hell of a lot of money on them. After a few minutes of previewing the necklace, everyone was ready for the auction to continue. And the bidding of Paul's item to commence.

"Right, the bidding will now start at 1 Million dollars."

Paul eyes open wide at the opening bidding number.

1 Million dollars already! That was easy.

Paul immediately thought, that was a pretty high price to start the mineral.

A guy puts up his number plate and starts the bidding.

"1 Million right here."

A different man puts up his number plate.

"2 Million here, anyone want to bid 3 million? Do I hear 2.5?"

"5 Million dollars."

Paul was already in awe at the price of his mineral already. Within the space of 30 seconds.

"5 Million dollars! Do I hear 6?"

"Is that Warren bidding?"

"Might be."

"YUUUUUP!"

"6 Million dollars. Weeelll do I hear 7? 7 anyone. 6.5? Going once... go-"

"10 Million dollars."

Paul had his mouth gaped as he lost balance on his chair and fell on the floor in shock.

"10 Million! Oh boy, we got a real auction here. Do I hear 11? Do I hear 10.5? Nope... No one."

"12 Million dollars. It's mine sonny. There are other items for sale you can afford." An old man said.

"Thank you. 12 Millio-"

"13 Million dollars!" The early middle aged man puts his number up again. He was battling to win the necklace against the older male.

"13! Do I hear... 14? Anyone? 13.5 million?"

"15 Million dollars."

The crowd starts to murmur quite loudly at this.

"15 Million! Do I hear 16? 15.5? No anyone?"

"20...Million... dollars."

Some people in the crowd gasped at this price.

"Order order."

"This ain't a court room buddy."

"Right. My bad... 20 m-"

"25... Million...Dollars."

"... You know what folks, this is going to be a long night tonight. Why don't you get a coffee or something."

2 Minutes Later

"Sold for 54 Million dollars! Congratulations to ticket number 402 for winning the bid. Thank you and stay back afterwards to pay for this fabulous necklace." The auctioneer says. The old man ended up winning. The other guy who was dressed in three piece suit lost the bid.

Looks like that old man loves his necklaces... Probably for his wife... or girlfriend.

"Now moving onto this fine piece of... (Whispers) What's the next item for sale?"

"Diamond contact lenses." The guy whispers back loud enough for the auctioneer to hear.

"Diamond contact lenses? For real?"

Paul turned away his attention from the stream to think about what happened.

He was absolutely stunned. Looking through his monitor, he moved away to gather his thoughts...

..

.

He would be making...

54 Million dollars just for a mineral!

A very rare mineral that happened to be in a cave, in the middle of the Cambodian Jungle!

He was still trying to process how on Earth that just happened.

This would be a massive pay day for him. Compensating for the lost of his 20K to Drakken last week. This was a major win for him!

Alongside a few others that deserve a piece of the money too.

A few days later after all the taxes were deducted by the auction house, a small fee was paid between Marcus and Rick and finally due to Paul being a minor, he had to get Rick to sign off on this. He agreed as Paul said if he's parents found out, they would absolutely freak in delight. And with such a huge amount of money, he had to keep it a secret, only telling friends that he can trust.

Rick handed over Paul a small cheque. Written on it, 52,850,000.00.

"Well congratulations Paul. Here is a cheque of 52,850,000. Sorry the tax kind of screwed you. And a fee of 100,000 was paid for the research services and finding a place to sell the mineral as agreed upon." Rick says.

Rick was quite surprised that the mineral went for soo much. If the mineral got sold for around 1-2 million, Paul would have only had to pay around 2-3K. Rick made almost 30,000 dollars from this, but still felt bad for letting Paul spend almost 20 times the amount he was supposed to pay originally. It was business after all, but he was only a teenager... Who had 52 million dollars.

"I hope that's alright. It was supposed to be about 5-10K but since the item went for so much, it went up."

"The tax wasn't a set back with this amount I got and what we agreed upon was fine. Thank you so much Rick!" Paul hugs Rick. Needless to say the bald man was shocked at the hug, and eventually hugged back.

"It's okay man. This is a lot of money. It's life changing money for anyone. I just hope it doesn't change you as a person."

"Don't worry Rick, I plan to put this in the bank and make investments in heaps of Crypto stocks."

"My man!" Chum Leigh says trying to give him a fist bump over the counter, Paul responds back by giving him the fist bump back.

"Well... It's certainly safer than gambling. It's your investment. But you need to be responsible with spending... Or you can spend it all in here (Insert Smokers Laugh)." Rick says.

"(Laughing) I will be responsible Rick. Thanks for the advice, you've been a big help with finding a buyer for that mineral."

"No problem... Oh I almost forget to give you this box." Rick pulls out something.

Rick gives him a small black box in his palm.

"As we agreed. It wasn't easy, but he did it. Take care of it."

"Thank you so much Rick." Paul says before saying goodbye to the bald man.

He leaves the Pawn Shop and heads straight towards Middleton's local bank, where he would be signing more paperwork and lots of eyebrows would be raised in the next hour or so.

He looks down at the black box that Rick gave him. He had to keep it somewhere safe.

A few days had passed and Paul had everything in place. He was currently sitting in a booth at Bueno Nacho.

He invited Kim and Wade to lunch to discuss about something very important.

He didn't order anything yet, as he waited for his friends to arrive first. The teen seemed a bit nervous and was anxiously waiting for them to arrive. He was wearing all black, which consisted of a hoodie, jeans and black sneakers He looked like a drug dealer of some sort. He had a few things to give out today.. Not want you think. Just some cabbage.

He sees the door open up and inside came Kim and Wade at the same time. Both look around for Paul and spot him in the booth. They wave at him, as he waved back.

They walk towards the table and take a seat inside the booth.

"Hey guys, thanks for coming here on such short notice."

"Of course Paul." Kim says.

"No worries. Can I ask... What's up with the outfit?" Wade asks.

"Didn't want to bring attention to people." He says. That's legit the worst outfit he could of picked to avoid suspicion!

"I think that outfit gets spotted in a crowd easily." Kim says.

"Plus it's very sus. Major red flags at a concert." Wade says.

"Right right, I know. 100 Security guards will tackle me if I had a backpack on as well. Look, the reason why I called you guys down here today is to give you these. Now I don't except anything in return, just accept them as an early Christmas present."

Paul took out two rectangular pieces of paper from his pants and slides them towards Kim and Wade retrospectively.

Both were confused what this could be.

A coupon possibly.

A receipt of some sort.

The possibilities were endless in their intellectual minds. Although he said they were a early Christmas present.

Both pick up the small thick piece of paper and turn it around.

Neither of them would have guessed this in 7 years.

What Paul had given them was a cheque.

...

..

.

Each written down...

...

..

.

A hundred thousand dollars for each person.

Both of their eyes widen at that number.

Both look at their check before looking back at Paul, who had a simple smile on his face.

"T-this must be a mistake. This has 5 zeros on it." Kim says chuckling nervously at the cheque.

"7 zeros if count the last two." Wade clarifies. It's still a 100K, but was written down like any other bank cheque. 100,000.00.

"There's no mistakes. Both cheques each have a hundred grand written on it." Paul says with a neutral voice. He wasn't lying, but they weren't buying it.

...

"Is this a joke? Am I being Punk'd?" Kim says looking around for hidden cameras and Ashton Kutcher.

"Like the show? No. No. It's a real cheque with real money. Go to the bank. They'll cash it out for you, right now... With ID of course." Paul says, "And possibly parents permission." He adds.

When Paul opened up a banking account, his father Angelo would have to sign an agreement with the bank. Paul asked him politely if he could only access through it. He agreed without hesitation.

Both thought he was joking. But every second after that, was turning out to be more real. They started to believe, he really handed them 100,000 dollars each.

"H-how? Where did you get this kind of money?" Kim asks.

"The Cambodian Jungle. Inside the cave where we located the last Jade Idol. I found a rock, which turned out to be a mineral. Jadeite." Paul explains.

Wade gasps. "Jadeite!"

"What? What's so good about Jadeite?" Kim asks.

"Jadeite is a very rare mineral. It's used as a form of jewellery and thousands of years ago, it was used to manufacture weapons. Each carat is worth millions of dollars!" Wade says.

"Really? How come I didn't know about that. I have heaps of jewellery. So I'm guessing you sold this mineral?" Kim says.

"You betcha I did." Paul says.

"For how much?" Kim asks.

Paul looks around first before spiting out a number.

"...52 Million dollars." Paul says quietly.

"52 MILLIO-"

"Shh! Shh! Guys! Chill. Not so loud. You wanna get robbed?" Paul said quietly.

Both of them calm themselves down and leaned in closer towards Paul and spoke in a quieter tone.

"You got that much for the Jadeite mineral?" Kim said lowering her voice.

"Well too be fair, rich people love to spend their money on jewellery, paintings and useless fancy vases." Wade says.

"It's the culture they have. Spend millions on paintings they can see everyday framed up in their houses, vases with squiggly patterns, relics that are easily breakable around small children, statues of people who passed years ago and bungalows." Kim says.

"That and they've got too much money and they don't know what to do with it." Wade says.

"The guy said I could have made a bit more, but I was extremely satisfied with the amount I got. Even 10 Million would have been great." Paul said.

"Wow. For a guy that lost 20K sure got lucky fast." Wade says holding up his cheque in delight.

"I got to thank you two though. If it wasn't for Fiske, none of this would have happened. He made the enquiry about the mission, Wade gave us the mission and Kim chose to accept the mission. So thank you guys." Paul says.

"Gee thanks Paul. I really mean that." Kim says being thankful for being credited and receiving some money from it.

Kim didn't feel right accepting the money, but Paul made the money off the mineral that he found, it wasn't money from a person that asked for Kim's help. He found it and made money off it. And was doing the right thing by giving some to his friends.

"Yeah thanks man. And it was you how found that mineral in the first place." Wade says still holding up his cheque.

"Correct, and I'm sorry I have to do this Wade."

"Do what?" Wade asked curiously.

"Unfortunately, Wade's money must be taken care of properly." Paul says taking his cheque away.

"Hey!"

"I'm doing this for your own good Wade. You're a young man. I'll protect your money, to ensure you don't spend it all on one place. Or at one restaurant."

"Aw man." Wade pouts.

"Don't be sad. I'll still give you some money when you need it. It's for your own good Wade. I'll promise I won't take anything from it. I'm sure Kim's responsible and mature enough to keep her money safe."

Kim was on her phone looking up the Club Banana website.

"Huh? Oh yeah sure. Responsibility is a word that I carry very strongly these days."

"Kim." Paul says sternly.

"Okay fine. 1000 dollars on shopping today."

"..."

900?

"..."

"(Sighs) Fine... 650 and that includes that cute jacket I wanted to get since October."

"I'm fine with that. But it's your money Kim, I just don't want you to spend it all in one day." Paul says.

"100 grand is a lot of money for a teenager. Surely we wouldn't spend all at once." Kim says.

"People have spent more and lost it in one day." Paul says

Both couldn't imagine doing that. But he was right. Gambling is one of them. But they are far too young for that. Especially Wade.

"Just please be responsible with your money please." Paul says.

Both look at each other with a smile.

"We promise Paul." Kim says.

"I promise not to spend it all on 100 Tacos for 100 for Taco Tuesday for the next 1000 tuesdays." Wade says.

"That's about 20 years, and you'll be working by then." Paul says.

"Should be." Wade says back.

"Okay. Now that's settled, I think this calls for a celebratory lunch." Paul declares.

"Yes." Wade celebrates to himself.

"We're buying for you. You shout us most of the time." Kim says offering to pay. Not with her cheque, but her wallet.

"Oh cool. In that case, I'll just get a Chicken burrito please."

"Done and done. Come on Wade." Kim says as her and Wade get up to order food. Paul was still sitting in the booth.

When they were at the counter, he took out a few other cheques. He had quite a few of them. Some had certain names, the one that he held up had the name...

'Ronald Stoppable'

He taps the cheque on the table and thinks about what to do with it. He couldn't remember where Ron lived, only remembering the time where he dropped him off in a Uber whilst being in London for the first time ever, en route to America.

He puts it first on the other cheques and he hides them from his friends. He had a lot of work to do, as he had to get these out of the way before Christmas comes around.

Today was officially the last day of school... for the year. Yes sadly 2020 will be ending very soon.

And with the US being in the Northern Hemisphere it was currently winter. The weather in Colorado was pretty cold compared to Australian weather. It was even colder than ACT and Tasmania. Temperatures reaching minus degrees. Where Paul lived, it was rare to have minus temperatures in Melbourne. Only at night time because there was no sunlight. Last time he had a day where it was a minus degree day was a few years back. Today was minus -4C (26.6F), there was morning snow at ground level in the morning. First time Paul saw it for long periods of time. Back at home, it would only last an hour, before the bright sun melts it into water.

Speaking of Paul, he has been busy dropping off some letters to two certain individuals at school in their lockers.

Right now, they were at lunch with their friends, enjoying their last lunch break of 2020.

"Can't believe we already halfway through Freshman year." Monique says.

"The year has gone by so quick." Kim says.

"Time flies when you're having fun." Paul says.

"So, Paul... How have you enjoyed your first year in the US?" Josh asks him.

Paul stopped for a second to think about this.

"It's been really great if I'm being honest. Had different expectorations at first, but they've exceeded. You guys have been really great to hangout and talk with everyday."

All three grin warmly at him. They felt very appreciated about his honesty. He too has been a great friend back.

"Maybe you'll like it too much around here." Monique joked.

Paul chuckled back, "Still too early for that Monique."

"Say... After all what happened last week and with your savings, can you teach us about cryptocurrency? If you want to of course." Josh asks.

Paul dropped his spork upon hearing that.

"You wanna hear me talk about cryptocurrency?"

"Sure. We're your friends, we would love to hear about Crypto. I had enough with Drakcoin last week, but I might learn something when you explain it." Kim says trying to make Paul better about he's loses last week. For Paul, it was distant memoires. He grins in delight, thinking about what to talk say first.

"Well.. Where to begin. The first few things you need to be successful in crypto stock is time, patience, research, awareness, limitations, budgets and most importantly... You gotta have the money."

20 Minutes Later

"-heaps of coins that you can purchase using stock exchange markets like Coinbase, Crypto dot com or Binanace, but you can't always buy the coin you're looking to invest in on public exchanges. That's why you have to use Trust Wallet a program you can buy on your phone and exchange certain coins to purchase them from Pancake Swap, which is another exchange to convert certain coins that aren't on public crypto exchanges."

While Paul was explaining Crypto to Kim and his friends. A few other students came up to listen in on his Ted Talk- Duh I mean explaining about ryptocurrency.

It gathered the likes of Brick, Junior, Vinnie and Big Mike, around the table. Brick was holding a notepad and pen.

"Once you accept the transaction, you must ensure that it goes through Trust Wallet account, be careful not to swap different coins outside of Pancake Swap and other decentralised exchanges because it will be invalid and you'll lose money." Paul says.

"And about 15 minutes ago, you touched based with NFTs. You think they are scams?" Junior asks.

"Majority of them are real, but you have to be careful when buying them. NFTs will be more relevant as digital assets that anything else. Even if they are sometimes worthless."

Paul continued to talk as Barkin walked towards their table and whispers to Kim.

"Does he know that the bell rang 5 minutes ago?" Barkin asks Kim.

"Let him have his moment sir. It's the last day of school." Kim says.

"Of the year. You still have 5 months to go until the end of the school year level Possible." Barkin presses hard on his watch.

"Please sir, he went through a lot last week."

"No Possible."

Kim tries her last resort. She gives the puppy dog face look to Mr Barkin. "Please sir." Kim said in an innocent tone.

"Ahh! The eyes! I was warned about this!

Could Barkin resist Kim's puppy dog face?

Yea- No. He caved in.

"(Sighs) Fine. Maybe I can score a few extra dollarydoos with his information." Barkin says as he listens in and he too pulls out a notepad with a pencil.

"It's always important to keep a budget and do your own research when investing. Most people have lost their life savings when investing."

And so Paul continued to educate the group about cryptocurrency. Because we all know, once cash stops being accepted. We are all fucked!

"Cardano is one coin to invest now as it's price is currently at 4 cents right now, so buy now and it will probably reach 10 dollars within a few years time. Another thing to invest wisely in, is meme coins." Paul says.

"What the heck is a meme?" Barkin asks.

"Will explain that later Mr Barkin, Solana is an up and coming coin too, which is hard to find, so you'll need Packcake swap to buy Solana. But buy quickly, because there's a chance it could explode within a year!"

'PIIK'

Everyone stared at Mr Barkin, who broke his pencil.

"Anyone got a pencil sharpener?" Barkin asks.

With Paul finally wrapping up his lecture about cryptocurrency, Monique and Josh headed back to their lockers to pick up their books for the last class of the day. They would be 10 minutes late for their class, but Barkin gave them all a note why they were late. A one time thing.

"Did you get any of Paul's crypto advice?"

"I got some of it. All the coins he said to invest in I got, but man that boy knows a lot about investing. Real estate being a big investment opportuniy. That's big money if you have it to spend on." Monique says.

"Better start saving then." Josh opens his locker and a letter fell out, "Huh... That's strange. I got a letter."

Monique opens up her locker as she spots a letter as well. "Hey I got one too."

Both look at each other as the open up the letter. It was revealed to be a cheque of 100K. Both Monieque and Josh were shocked to see this.

"Josh." Monique says keeping her eyes on the cheque.

"Do you see 100,000 dollars too?"

"...Yep." She squeaked out.

Both still stared at the paper in shock. The next thing that popped into their minds was...

Who gave them these cheques?

"Read the card, it might shed some light on all of this." Josh says, as Monique reads the card out loud.

"Please don't quit your day job Monique. - PK"

'SLAAAMMMM'

Both teens look up at the noise.

It was Paul, who happened to be getting his books for the final class of the day. He looks at them and winks.

Both slowly smile at him and both looking at each other.

They then run towards him to express their gratitude and happiness of their new small fortune.

Author Notes:

Honestly giving those cheques to Kim, Wade and the others he written down, gives me vibes for Oceans Eleven. Well we won't know who those other cheques are for. They could be for anyone. 52 million is a lot of money. Already 400k has gone to his new American friends. How much more is left to give away?

Let's just hope Bonnie doesn't found out about Paul's new riches.

- During the auction, when a man said "Is that Warren bidding?", that was a reference to the reality show, Storage Wars. Dave Hester known as the Mogul, says "YUUUP!" when making a bid.

- I'm totally aware that you can't use Crypto dot com or any other URL link in the fanfic formats... Grrr!
