What Are You Smiling About?
Author's Note: Just a funny moment. Prompt is the title, but it also fits with the Bare It All Theme today for Febressuary 2022.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Donald Ressler was standing next to Liz waiting for the team that had breached the building to find them. They were in a room at the back of the warehouse that had a door his shoulder was no match for.
"They sound like they're one floor up," Liz said as she listened to the boots tromping.
"It'll just be a minute," Ressler said quietly as he too listened to the boots.
"We're just going to tell them what happened, right?" Liz asked him for confirmation, her voice sounding thready and nervous.
"It did happen," he said annoyed as he walked toward the door and started to pace in front of it.
"I'm just saying…" Liz huffed. What Liz wanted to say was 'it was your idea' but she had already said that several times and it hadn't really changed his mood.
She saw him pacing like a caged animal, he'd been doing much the same over the 6 or so hours they had been trapped in here. Truthfully, the pacing made her more nervous, and she wished he would stop, but his snappy comeback told her it would just mean another argument. He had been in a bad mood since they got in here and it had only worsened as time went on.
They had been held in this room together for most of the night, the room had some shelves, no chairs, no windows, and was near a venting system that, about every 15 minutes, started to blow warm air on them. They were new as partners having only worked on a couple cases together and he seemed more annoyed with her presence than pleased by it. Being locked in a room together under these circumstances, didn't help. Honestly, she wasn't sure she'd be able to continue to work with him; he was so judgmental about her and closed off that she wasn't sure they had much of a future moving forward as partners.
She had tried to engage him in conversation, but he hadn't taken the bait and actually said he preferred the silence. What could be an opportunity to get to know each other better had not been utilized because, she sensed, he felt vulnerable and needed distance from her more than camaraderie.
The boots got closer, and they could finally hear the lock on the door being released.
"Two federal agents inside," Ressler called to them.
"Anyone else in there with you?" A voice called back. The voice was familiar but neither Ressler nor Liz could place it at the moment.
"No, just us for over 6 hours," Ressler called back.
"We'd appreciate some water," Liz called out. "We only had one water bottle to share."
They both stood back and away from the door; Ressler standing partially in front of Liz to protect her. It was always his instinct to protect her even if he really didn't like her much. The team came into the room with guns drawn and surprised looks on their faces.
Ressler could tell immediately that they were not federal agents but hired guns. He pulled at Liz's arm to push her behind him even more, unsure what their intentions could be.
Reddington walked into the room after it had been cleared and stopped when he saw Ressler and Liz.
Ressler was standing there in just his suit jacket and boxers briefs his chest and legs bare except for his socks and shoes. And Liz stepped out from behind him in his white button-down shirt and suit pants cinched tight at her waist with his belt; his tie used to put her hair in a ponytail.
A wide smile broke out across Reddington's face.
"What are you smiling about?" Ressler asked Reddington, annoyed.
The end.
I considered calling this One Suit, Two People but that that would give away the silly ending. Let me know what you think with a review.
