"Aneki….it's really rare for you to catch a cold like this…" the cool and stoic, delinquent-like horsey, Narita Brian says as she washes a rag.
"It's nothing, really," Biwa Hayade replies after blowing her nose.
"Haaah…you looking like that is definitely something," Brian says. "Has your head gotten bigger?"
"Hey! Just because I have a headache doesn't mean my head is growing!" Biwa shouts.
Brian shrugs. "Whatever you say, Aneki…."
Due to Biwa training so hard, she caught a cold. Brian reluctantly volunteered to take care of her while the others do their training. The delinquent-like horsey loves her big sister, however, she does want to get stronger to at least be evenly matched with Biwa. To race together one day. That goal still remains in her head.
"Here." Brian says after wreathing the rag. "Lie down."
Biwa does as she is told after putting the book she is reading down and Brian gently puts the rag on her forehead.
"Thanks, Brian…" Biwa says softly.
Brian just nods and turns away, arms crossed. "Anything else I can get for you?"
"No, it's quite alright," Biwa replies. "I'm fine."
"Alright." Brian wants to leave and let her big sister rest, but something is holding her back. She has one question that has been on her mind for a while, but is not sure how to ask.
She glances at her big sister, who is just lying on the soft bed, staring at the ceiling.
"You're staying?" Biwa says.
"How did you know?" Brian asks.
"You're still sitting on the bed, not moving a muscle," Biwa says. She then chuckles. "Heh, you are always like this. Ever since we were little, you would always cling to me~"
"Well….that's in the past," Brian says, not showing eye contact with her big sister. "I'm much more mature now."
"Heh, whatever you say, little sis~" Biwa says.
There is a few minutes of silence before Brian speaks up again.
"Aneki…" the dark haired horsey says. "Once you get better…I'm going to train my hardest again."
"You're holding off training just to take care of me?" Biwa asks with a smile. "How sweet of you."
"U-uhhh…it's just so that we can both work towards our goal," Brian blushes.
It is then that Biwa sits up and the rag plops on her lap. "It will be a while until we get there."
Brian feels the bed shift and notices her big sister sitting up. "Aneki! You are supposed to rest!"
"I'll only do this for a moment~" Biwa says as she spreads her arms wide. "Come here, my dear little sister~"
The older horsey's mature, womanly voice is like a caress to Brian's own horsey ears. Brian hesitates a little and then reluctantly scoots close and embraces her big sister, resting her head on her big chest. Biwa gives a warm smile, gently playing with Brian's long pony-tail.
"Do you really think…we will race together?" Brian asks softly.
"All in due time…" Biwa whispers back and kisses her sister on the forehead. "If we are smart on our strategies, we will win every race until the semi-finals. Then, maybe we will race together."
"Good…" Brian gently tightens her hug, not looking at her big sister. "It's all to show that I can be as good as you, Aneki. I still want to win against you."
Biwa pulls her away to look at her little sister in the eyes. She caresses Brian's cheek with a warm smile once again. "And I will not lose to you either."
"Glad we are on the same page," Brian says.
"Indeed," Biwa says.
Feeling a sudden urge, they lean in and share a brief, passionate kiss. Once they pull away, Brian turns her head to the side, blushing.
"What's the matter?" Biwa asks.
"I…I want to c-confess my love…as soon as I beat you," Brian replies. "I feel that it's very proper to find the right moment…y-you know…?"
Biwa chuckles and pets her little sister. "That's fine with me. I know you love me so dearly, but I shall wait until that very day~"
"Yeah…"
Biwa gently has her little sister face her and they press foreheads together, closing their eyes.
"All in due time…~"
Both of them whisper in unison.
