The Fallen Angel Chapter 13
I don't know why but it feels like I haven't updated this in a long time, even though the One Piece had been even longer, but someone has been on my case to update, so I stopped procrastinating, kind of, I guess and started working on the update for this fic.
To answer one reviewer about the pairing for this fic. This fic is a single pairing. You might or might not be disappointed at that, but if it's the latter, then I can tell you that I have two other Naruto x Mha concepts that are a harem instead. Not sure when it will come out tho. By the way, that weakness I mentioned in the first chapter is no longer true. So, just ignore that.

Both the two students eyed their surroundings. They were still at the start of the place, a small plain grass area with a path that led forward to where they could see a much bigger forest area. Just before the way leading to the forest ended, they could see what looked to be some safe/crate.
Though rather than it being a safe/crate with just one lock, needing one key. This one seemed to have four locks instead. I wonder…? Naruto mused, his hands sliding into his pocket that held the key they had found. It was no longer broken now. They had pretty quickly figured out that the 2nd part of the key could easily connect with the 1st part they got at the beginning.
It was much easier than he thought it would be. It simply clicked together once the parts neared each other. Looking back over towards the safe, his eyes narrowed slightly at the number of locks.
Did they miss something and have to get four keys instead of only the one they got? He shook his head. No. That wasn't possible. Present Mic would have definitely told them that during the start. That meant there had to be something else to it. Is it just one key for all of them, then? That was the 2nd option that came to his mind, which he hoped was right. The last option in his mind was not something he preferred at this time.
"We should try to see if it works on them." The voice of his classmate, Shoto, broke him from his thoughts. The blonde nodded. He figured his partner would think along the same lines as him when it came to this as they stopped in front of the case.
The key successfully worked on the first lock, the clicking sound telling them it had opened up. It gave him a bit more hope that was quickly dashed some seconds later. Unfortunately, the 2nd lock hadn't opened up with the key. There goes that 2nd plan, then. To be entirely sure, he tried the 3rd and last lock, but just like the 2nd, it hadn't worked at all.
He refrained from sighing at that, though a frown had made its way to his face. That meant there was only one more option left as his frown shifted into one of acceptance and realization. His head slowly panned over to his partner to see the same expression on his face that was on his.
"I guess that means we have to wait for six others to arrive here." It didn't surprise Naruto that Todoroki had also figured it out pretty quickly. Naruto figured he hadn't been recommended just because of his powerful quirk but his other qualities too.
Nodding, Naruto responded. "Yeah. Just hope it won't have to be a while, though." Todoroki agreed inwardly at that but did not speak out his agreement.
After that, a silence fell upon them - both of them delving into their thoughts. Naruto idly wondered about who the other six students would be that would join them here. He hoped Momo would be amongst them, alongside Deku too. They would undoubtedly be a big help - Deku being more of physical support and a bit in the planning part, whereas Momo would be the opposite of the freckled boy in terms of helping them in whatever they were going to do next - Speaking of that. His head turned back to think about the safe in his sights. Or, instead, what exactly was inside of it.
It was obviously something to do with their objective for the next round. All those thoughts quickly stopped when his eyes narrowed slightly, his vision having caught sight of the color blue and white. It was clearly the same shade as on the new clothes they were told to wear for the event. Was that…?
"You saw it too?" Naruto asked him. The dual-haired boy nodded back in response a second later.
Instantly, they were both on guard. "Someone's out there," Shoto stated, his eyes scanning their surroundings, more specifically the forest area.
Why would they be hiding if they had already made it? Those thoughts confused Naruto, but there was only one way for him and his friend to find out.
"Oi, come out!" Whoever was out there did not respond or oblige to Naruto's shout. That caused the blonde to click his tongue in annoyance. "We know you're out there. Just come out already!" They waited some seconds in silence before finally, two students came out of the forest. Naruto and Shoto did not recognize them, which meant they weren't from the hero course.
They were, of course, wearing the blue and white uniform their school had given them for the event. The smaller one with glasses stepped forward, giving both Naruto and Todoroki a friendly smile, though it didn't feel that way to Naruto as he and his friend kept their guard up when the two students from the other course neared them. His slightly taller partner came up behind him.
"Why were you guys hiding out there?" Shoto asked, wasting no time. Naruto nodded next to his fellow fire user, narrowing his eyes at them in suspicion.
Holding up his hands, the one with the glasses responded. "We saw you two coming in and weren't sure if you had a key or didn't, like the previous team."
"What do you mean?"
The taller boy next to him responded. "We came across another team just before we got. They tried to take our keys, but it didn't work out for them, and they fled when they understood that."
It was easy to connect the dots. The team these two encountered was the same one they fought just before they got here. Naruto nearly let down his guard, though alarm bells rang in his head when their statement rang again.
'It didn't work out for them.' That phrase was suspicious since Naruto remembered the two people they fought didn't look like they had gotten into a fight, not to mention they were both constantly looking back.
"Anyways, my name is Toguru. This is Shinra." Toguro introduced himself before pointing next to him and introduced his taller friend.
Shrugging off his suspicions and worries for now. Naruto introduced himself, as did Shoto before he asked. "So you guys tried your key too on all of them?"
Both Toguru and Shinra nodded. "We did, but it only worked on the second luck. We tried to see if it worked on the others, and unfortunately, it didn't."
Naruto glanced at his classmate to see his face still stoically staring at the other two before turning his gaze back at them. "Alright then, I guess we'll be waiting for the other - wait," Naruto cut himself off, seeing Toguru eye the key in his hands. "Can I see you guys' key?" He asked curiously, wondering if it would be different than theirs.
"Our key?" Toguru repeated to himself, a bit surprised, which caused Naruto's and Shoto's suspicion to return. Clearing his throat, he continued. "Sure." The student adjusted his glasses for a second before his hand went to his pocket, rummaging through them before quickly flinging it back out and snapping his fingers as a bright light suddenly consumed Naruto's and Shoto's vision blindsiding them. "Do it, quickly!" Toguru's hurried comment reached their ears as they tried regaining their vision.
Suddenly, their movement was constricted as what felt like rope coiled around their bodies tightly. Someone quickly pushed them into the ground, forcing their hands behind their back as rope coiled around it and locked their hands tightly.
"What the hell!" Both Naruto Todoroki thrashed around, trying to get out of their bindings as they kicked away whoever was near and rolled around the ground into a sitting position. Their eyes rapidly blinked as they tried their hardest to regain their sight again. Thankfully, it worked out well for them a second later when they could see again.
Instead of the two that had tricked them or tried to trick them, four students looked at him and Shoto with gleeful smirks.
"Don't look at us like that. It's a competition. No one told us we couldn't deceive anyone." Shinra commented once he saw the angry expressions on them. "It's not easy for us ordinary course folks to get through these events without having any powerful quirk like you guys from the hero course, so we have to resort to other ways to help us win against others."
Toguru again adjusted his glips, pushing them up with his middle before as his smirk widened at seeing his plan working out. "My quirk only allows me to flash a bright light by snapping my fingers. It is a very weak Quirk that does me no good in a fight, but in a situation like our previous one, it is perfect as a distraction for people like you so Shinra can use his to restrain you both."
"By the way," The third group member started as he stepped forward. "You should probably stop trying to struggle with the bindings. Shinra's quirk is pretty much a portable handcuff with those iron bindings. They'll only get tighter the more you struggle and try to overpower them."
"Fools!" Todoroki spat in annoyance at their arrogance. They overestimated their strength if they thought some special rope would hold him and Naruto.
"You can try all you want, but it's futile."
"You know," Naruto started, getting their attention on him as steam started coming from behind him, where his arms were bound. "This plan of yours isn't too bad, and in fact, If it was someone else instead of us, it might've worked out, but you see there is this one small problem here," The four students were in for a surprise when both of their captives were no longer bound as they both used their quirk to get free quickly. "You got the worst possible captives for that rope of yours. You didn't seriously think that would hold us, did ya?"
"What the hell!" The last member of their little group cursed before turning towards the perplexed. "I thought your quirk was supposed to help us in situations like this." Unfortunately for him, the tall boy was too surprised and frightened to respond to him.
"Don't just stand there like that!" Toguru tried taking charge as both Naruto and Shoto wasted no more time. The group had no chance as their bodies were frozen to their necks.
Naruto shook his head. "We should've seen that coming." He muttered in disappointment at himself for having disregarded his suspicions that quickly. The four students had passed out from the attack as the ice receded away. A minute later, they had tied up the four of them and laid them down near the entrance.
"Let's just wait here till the next ones arrive." They wouldn't have to wait too long since they had quickly gotten to the middle. Naruto nodded in acceptance at the comment.
Though his thoughts returned to the place, their opponents hid as he looked back towards the forest. Should I check it out? The blonde thought to himself, glancing back to his classmate. "Yo, Shoto. Would it be alright if I went to check to the forest for some minutes?"
Shoto looked over towards him, his stoic expression changing into a confused one for a second. He can familiarize himself with it while I wait for the others here. With those thoughts being concluded, the boy with two Quirks replied, "Alright, go ahead. See if you can find anything of interest there."
Naruto ran off towards the forest, giving the heterochromatic boy a thumbs up. He trusted Shoto enough to hold anything off until he was done checking out the woods for a bit. Arriving at the entrance, his eyes roamed around it. There wasn't anything special about it, except the more giant trees he had expected. This was the first time he had seen trees as big as this since he was a kid and still lived in Konoha back in the Elemental Nations.
It brought a slightly nostalgic feeling to him. If there was anything he liked back in his previous world, it was the peaceful feeling he got from walking through the lush forested area of Konoha. Many times, he had gone fishing and explored the area simultaneously. However, those were the only somewhat good memories he had of his previous world.
Shaking his head clear of those thoughts, the blonde returned to examining the woods he was in. He walked around for some minutes, though there wasn't anything special to the forest. It was seemingly endless with no clearings, some parts of the ground not being flat but wobbly with small hills that could be used as cover.
Nothing exceptional here. Naruto thought disappointedly. Let's check it from above. His wings burst out, his body floating up for seconds before finally stopping high enough in the air above the giant trees. It was fascinating to see the place from above. How big is this place? He shouldn't have been surprised by it, but he couldn't help but whistle, looking at how far it stretched out. Far in the distance, he could see a giant wall, which probably indicated the end.
Sighing in disappointment at having discovered anything special, the blonde flew back as he knew it was only a couple of minutes before the first event would be officially done and the doors would be closed. Thanks to his wings, it didn't take much time for him to make it back to his classmate to see a couple of new people have joined them in his absence.
Was I gone that long? The Uzumaki wondered, seeing that two teams had joined them. The first new member was a girl with shoulder-length pink hair. Though what intrigued Naruto the most was the gadgets she had. She had a utility belt with various tools around her waist, goggles, way too oversized boots, which he assumed helped her speed, and lastly, something that looked like a jetpack on her back. Definitely from the support department.
His eyes moved onto the next person, who Naruto recognized as a girl from the class next to them. Class 1-B. She had shoulder-length dark green hair that got wavier the lower it got. Naruto had heard about her from his friend Kendo. Good things that as she seemed to be someone reliable. Kendo spoke highly of her. That had to amount to something good.
His eyes trailed over to the two other people. Both of them were recognizable since one of them, Uraraka, was in his class and the other girl Kendo had told him about. However, she didn't have much to say about her other than being a quiet person. She had a neutral expression on her face, merely standing together with the other three girls who were having idle chatter with each other while Shoto stood off to the side, keeping to himself as usual. That means we now got three keys and need one more.
He was sure Shoto wouldn't have let them stay like that and probably asked them if they had a key instantly. Descending down into the ground and retracting his wings, he called out to them with a wave. "Yo, everyone!"
They all turned their heads to look at him when they heard him. Shoto merely gave him a nod while Uraraka's eyes lit up in happiness seeing her friend.
"Naruto!" Ochacho and the other girls were about to greet the blonde back when a familiar voice beat them to it. They all looked over towards the entrance to see Kirishima running towards them with a grin on his head. Behind him, another girl was following him. Her most prominent feature was her long light green hair that was, oddly enough, covered with some thorns - one set wrapped around her forehead a couple of times in the shape of a cross.
The Uzumaki remembered Itsuka telling him about her too. She was apparently a religious girl who was soft-spoken. Though, Itsuka did tell him she had some vindictive side to her. I really should try and get to know the others in that class. The blonde wanted to make friends with his fellow hero course students but hadn't really gotten a chance to try and do exactly that so far.
"Kirishima," Shoto instantly came up next to him, his face still as stoic. "Tell me you have a key?"
The red-haired boy paused and nodded. "Of course, here, look." He responded, rummaging through his pocket before fishing out a key similar to theirs as Naruto sighed in content. That meant they had finally enough and could see what was inside that crate/safe.
"Sweet, that means we can open that safe then," Uraraka stated in an excited voice as the others brought out their own key.
They all agreed, wasting no more time as they turned around to walk to the crate. Kirishima walked up next to him, giving him a curious look. "Yo, Naruto. I saw a couple of guys knocked out outside the entrance there."
Naruto shrugged his shoulders at him knowing his friend was curious and worried. "They tried tricking us into giving up our key, but they underestimated us. Just don't worry about 'em."
"Alright then."
They came up to the locked-up safe as the Ochacho went up to use the key but was stopped by the dark green-haired girl. "Sorry to stop you like that but shouldn't it be best if we all introduce ourselves to each other before we see what's inside that." She explained, pointing her thumb behind her. "I know you already did that, Uraraka, but we got others here too now."
"Oh right," Ochacho muttered sheepishly. She turned around to everyone else, giving them her usual bubbly smile. "I'll go first then. Ochaco Uraraka."
The dark green-haired girl gave her own friendly grin. "Setsuna Tokage."
Kirishima thumped his chest lightly. "Eijiro Kirishima."
The next girl struck a pose with her hands on her goggles. "Mei Hatsume from the support division."
"Shoto." The dual-haired boy stated, simply failing silently afterward.
The girl with thorns in her hair bowed her head slightly at them. "I'm Ibara Shiozaki." She introduced herself formally.
"Yui Kodai." The last girl stated simply, just as Shoto had. Naruto chuckled inwardly at that as he went last to introduce him, giving everyone his usual grin.
"Naruto Uzumaki from class 1-A."
One by one, they all introduced themselves to the others who didn't know each other. Having done all that, the brown-haired girl turned back around in excitement. "Alright, now that that's then. I can't wait to see what's inside this." She used her key to open the third lock, stepping aside once she was done to let Setsuna open the second lock before Naruto opened the first and Kirishima the last one.
They all watched with bated breath once it was opened up to see some sort of flag being inside it. Naruto raised his eyebrow in curiosity at that. What exactly were they supposed to do with that? He was slightly disappointed with it but concluded he couldn't judge until they got to know what exactly their next objective was. Though, the same couldn't be said for Ochacho, who wined in disappointment while Eijiro went to voice his disappointment.
The boy opened his mouth, but his complaint was drowned out by the loud sound of someone clearing his throat. It caused them all to look around for the person, but they quickly realized it seemed to be coming from all over the place as it did during the beginning of the first event. The sound of something crashing caused them to nearly flinch in surprise as they looked back to see the entrance now no longer being open.
"And that's the 1 hour done, and the first event concluded!" Present mic's cheerful voice reached their ears as they simply listened on. "For anyone who is still inside the maze and didn't manage to get to the middle in time. Don't try anymore and just stay there. You will all be picked up very quickly and brought back to the busses. But now back to the events." The hero cleared his throat once again.
"The second event is very simple. I'm sure you have all opened up the crate there and saw your flags. That right there is where your objective comes in. All you need to do is go to the other side, through the forest where your enemy team's flag is, pick it up and bring it over to your side, and your team will win this second event, and you all will advance to the next and final round." Present mic finished, keeping his explanation simple as Aizawa had hounded him to do so. "That's all you have to know. Like the first event, this one will be one hour long. So start!"
The voice cut off, leaving the students to think about the second event.
"Man, he says it's simple, but we don't even know who we'll be fighting against out there," Eijiro complained, groaning.
"I think it's best we tell each other what our quirks are to see who does what," Setsuna advised getting a nod of agreement from Naruto at that.
"Alright, you go first, hotshot," Setsuna stated, giving Naruto a teasing nickname at the end. An amused smile was set on her face when she saw the blonde roll her eyes at him in good nature.
And so, they all started explaining their quirks to each other, though Shoto only told them about the ice part of his quirk and didn't mention the fire part. Having heard what they needed, some plans had already formed inside both Setsuna's and Naruto's minds. The former turned to look to the latter.
"Naruto, I've been meaning to ask, where were you when we got here?" The girl asked curiously.
Blinking at the question, Naruto pointed towards the woods a second later. "I was just checking out what exactly the forest looked like, you know. Familiarize myself with it for a bit." The blonde explained to everyone but looked at the green-haired girl. The latter hummed to herself after hearing that.
"What was it like?"
"Well," Naruto started. "I didn't really go that far into it, but it was just like a normal forest. Nothing really special about it. There were some small places that were spiked up into hills," He paused, his words ringing through his mind as he rubbed his chin in thought at that before he continued. "We could use that to set up some defense and traps once they get here."
Setsuna's eyes lit up in interest hearing that. "Okay, that's great. We can definitely use it to set up defenses or traps. But who should do that?" She asked herself and everyone, turning around to look at them while humming in thought.
Naruto turned to look at Mei. "I think it would be best if you were the one who set up at those hills with some traps."
The girl grinned in excitement. "That's fine. As long as I can put my babies to some use." The others were slightly unnerved by the sparkle in her eyes at the prospect of using her tools but shrugged it off.
"Geat," Setsuna smiled as she turned to Ochacho. "Would you mind helping her then? With your gravity quirk, we can set up some excellent traps for them." She requested as she explained her reseasoning at the end.
Kirishima stepped forward a bit after that. "I can help them too." The redhead volunteered, causing the others to turn their heads to him. Seeing the slightly confused and surprised expression from some, he elaborated. "I want to go with you guys to their side, but I think I should stay behind with them," He pointed towards both Mei and Ocacho at that moment. "Because if something goes south, I can help them against whoever comes there."
"Alright, if that's what you want," Naruto answered, obliging to his request/suggestion with a nod. He turned to the following two people who were unassigned. That being Shoto and Ibara. "I'm sure they will spread around and split into different teams and take different routes. Is it possible for you two to linger around in the middle and try to keep anyone who tries to go around the middle from the sides?"
"That is alright with me," Ibara replied.
Shoto nodded a second later. "I'll take the right side." The dual-haired boy accepted. He was glad his classmate had that much confidence in him to hold himself against their possible opponents. "Are you going for the flag then?" He asked.
Naruto nodded his head in response. "Yeah, Setsuna, Yui, and I will go for their flag. I think that's everyone settled then." Looking over at everyone, they all nodded back in confirmation at him. "Alright then. Now that that's done let's all go and win this event!" They all gave back their own cheerful response. Well, as joyful as it could get in the case of Ibara, Yui, and Shoto.

Todoroki was quietly making his way towards the right side of the forest after splitting from Ibara once they got closer to the middle. The heterochromatic boy made sure not to wander off too far to the right. So far, there hadn't been anything that interesting or anyone he came across. While he would've rather taken charge and gone to take the flag, he understood that Naruto was faster than him, and as such, that made it easier for his classmate and gave them a higher chance to get the flag successfully. Not to mention his classmate's power was good too.
And he trusted Naruto's plans enough. Even though they weren't exactly friends or anything, he understood the blonde was a better leader than him, which he had displayed during their time in the maze and when he took charge, alongside Setsuna back at their half of the forest.
He came to a stop when he heard some crunching and some voices talking to each other as his eyes narrowed slightly.
"I sure hope we don't come across anyone like Bakugo," Kaminari muttered, shuddering at the possibility of having to go against the aggressive blonde. The blonde was about to continue his worrying when his partner suddenly tackled him out of the way of Todoroki's ice.
They stumbled away before both of them quickly stood up. Denki turned to give his partner a grateful look. "That was close. Thank you for that, Kaku."
The now named Kaku nodded back in reply. He was a tall boy with a very long nose and neck, which was thanks to his giraffe-like body because of his quirk. He had heard Todoroki's attack coming thanks to his excellent senses. "It's nothing, but can you please refrain from dreading who our opponent is, Denki-san? It is very distracting and will not help your confidence at all." The boy from the ordinary course reprimanded him. In return, Denki gave him a sheepish, apologetic smile before focusing on who was in front of them.
Todoroki isn't a better option either. Damn it! The blonde cursed their luck. At the same time, he was confident that there was no way for them to win against one of the strongest in his class.
"Denki-san," Said boy looked towards Kaku, who called to him. "We'll use my better senses to evade his attacks and get close enough for you to use as much voltage as you can." He explained, keeping his eyes on Todoroki, who was still a bit away from him, calmly walking towards them.
"I won't be of any help if we or it doesn't work after that," Kaminari warned. He was already sweating nervously. "Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"We don't know until we try," Kaku replied. He understood that it would be over for them if his partner were out of commission, especially since he wasn't a fighter. His quirk wasn't suited for it.
Shoto came to a stop some meters away from them. "It won't work. Whatever it is you're planning." The dual-haired boy stated before shaking his head at them as ice suddenly started building up at his feet. "I'm sorry in advance for this."
Kaku's eyes widened as his senses went haywire, but it was too late. Before he could even say another word or try to tackle his friend away, the ice at their opponent's feet stretched out before instantly growing into a huge spiked glacier at speeds both of them couldn't react. The glacier shot up, towering over the giant trees in the woods as Shoto let out an icy breath.
That's taken care of then. Both his opponents were now stuck in the middle of the glacier. He made sure to go over and knock them out before using his quirk to melt the ice.
Now all he had to do was wait, guard the right side, and see if any more would come.

Ibara's head shot up to look to her right and see a giant spiked glacier towering over the trees. It looked like one of her teammates was already engaging in battle, unlike her.
She had been wandering around the left side for some time now since Naruto, Setsuna, and Yui had gone off from her to go deeper into the forest. She was left looking for anyone or any clues of their enemies' whereabouts. So far, there had been absolutely nothing she had come across. However, that became false when she came face to face with another girl a second later.
The green-haired girl wasted no time and used her quirk to direct her thorn-covered hair into the ground before they shot up right where Mina was standing. It would have snared her up if the pink-haired girl had not jumped away in time.
Mina sighed in relief. "That was a close one. You almost got me there." She told the religious girl with a smile on her face. "But it's not enough to stop me!" She charged forwards, using her superior speed to surprise the girl from class 1-B as she threw a whip of acid towards the surprised girl.
Though she was surprised, Ibara quickly snapped out of it and
"Feisuzu Shīrudo."
The vines that were connected to and the ones she had sent to attack were quickly called back and formed into a wall right in front of her before detaching from her hair. The whip of acid made contact with the vines, and Ibara frowned once she saw them simply being melted away by the acid.
That was definitely not a good sign.
"That won't stop me!" Mina called out, jumping over the shield and calling out, "Ashiddo Shotto." A hail of acidic bullets was now raining down onto where Ibara stood. The latter quickly used her vines to make a shield for herself, though that wasn't working well as the acidic bullets were melting it pretty quickly.
Using more power, the vines grew thicker and sturdier, managing to stop the hail of acid shots that were raining down on her position. It had been a bit taxing on her as she hadn't expected to come across an opponent who would be this effective against her. Deciding not to risk anymore, she exerted more power and used another technique.
"Via Dororōsa." The vines around suddenly exploded into much bigger ones as they started spreading around the forest at high speeds. It caused Mina's eyes to widen in surprise as she was now back on the defensive end. She had to resort to using her dancing skills to skillfully but nimbly dodge the vines that were sprouting all around them.
"What the hell!" She exclaimed in annoyance as it was almost never-ending. The number of vines that were surrounding them became too much to count as she dodged another one. Her eyes widened once again as she nearly lost her footing, and two thick vines were coming right at her - one from her right and the other from the left.
"Ashiddobēru." She stretched out both her hands and called out her technique. Two acidic walls sprouted from her hands as they successfully managed to not only block the incoming attacks but melt them away. I can't let her get the upper hand like this. I need to strike back! The pink-haired girl jumped high in the air with those thoughts in mind.
"Ashiddo Shotto." This time, the number of acidic bullets fired was much more than the previous as it successfully managed to give her some room and melt the vine-covered forest area they were in. Though it hadn't melted away everything, it did work to do that with enough where she was standing. She huffed slightly after that as her skin was losing its resistance against her quirk, which meant she didn't have much more time. She was sure the same could've been said for her opponent since she used such a big attack.
And she was right, too, as Ibara was taking deep breaths to regain her stamina behind the shield she had created for herself. The girl had easily heard her vines being melted as her technique didn't work out as intended.
That meant there was just one last thing for her to do. Bringing down her shield, Ibara locked eyes with Mina's as they moved at the same time. The latter used her flexibility to evade and get closer to Ibara while the green-haired girl kept launching more vines.
Mina managed to get close enough to her opponent with some difficulty before her foot was suddenly entangled, and she almost fell forward. Her eyes widened in realization, and she quickly tried to melt it off but saw more heading towards her. Using a lot of her power, she used her Ashiddobēru again to melt them, flipping through the attacks and landing a devastating punch to Ibara's face.
Although her punch had managed to do a lot of damage and Ibara was on the brink of falling unconscious, she used one last attack to ensure she didn't go down without a fight.
"Kurusefikushon." Her hair expanded out and got a hold of the shocked Mina, who thought she had won and finished her off. The pink-haired girl was suspended into the air as the vines constricted around her and formed a tight ball. Her breath was knocked out of her as she helplessly tried to breathe, but soon it became too much as her eyes rolled back, and she fell unconscious. Though she wasn't the only one as just at the same time, Ibara had given out and fallen unconscious too.

With Naruto, Yui and Setsuna were all flying towards their opponent's flag. They were much deeper into the forest, nearing the wall at the end. Naruto held Yui while Setsuna kept up next to him with her quirk. The blonde looked to his right, seeing a disappointed expression on his new friend's face.
"Hey," The girl looked over towards him, hearing him call out to her. "You thinking of something?" The blonde asked curiously.
The girl looked down at her classmate in the blonde's arms, Yui, for a second before her eyes gazed back to his blue ones. "I just thought that we should've used Yui's quirk to shrink down our flag and hide it somewhere. Or maybe take it with us so they wouldn't find it." She explained, her disappointment in herself for not having thought of this sooner showing in her tone and on her face through her expression.
"Damn, that does sound like a good idea," Naruto muttered before shaking his head. "It doesn't matter now. We just have to believe that Mei, Ochacho, and Eijiro can hold it out against whoever comes across them. Besides, the plan we came up with is good enough. Have faith in it."
The smart girl sighed in acceptance. "You're right. Thanks for that." She told him with a smile getting one in return. The blonde was about to continue their talk, but he was suddenly ensnared by tape and yanked down to the ground. It caused him to let go of the girl in his hands as she fell. Though thankfully, Setsuna caught her classmate before she could descend onto the ground.
Naruto also snapped out of it a second later and used his quirk to burn off his binding before righting himself in the air with his wings. Looking down, he could see a smirking Hanta looking up at him as his arms were stretched out, showing he was the one who did that to him using his quirk. So, Hanta is one of them, then. His eyes quickly scanned their surroundings as best he could to try and find anyone else, but there was nothing.
"I didn't expect to go against you of all people, Naruto," Sero called out, his smirk still in place. He had wanted to try and see how he stacked up against the blonde and now was a perfect time.
"Don't forget about us," Setsuna called out as her hand she sent her hand flying over at Hanta, who quickly used his quirk to fire at a tree and swing away from the attack, though he was surprised when the hand was able to keep up with him as he swung around.
Naruto, seeing the fact that his classmate was distracted, moved in to attack him as he shot off at high speeds. Just as he neared the boy, he was suddenly yanked down harshly to the ground from behind.
"Gah!" He grunted in pain once he made crashed down. What was that? He was sure it wasn't Hanta since the boy wasn't even looking at him and didn't fire either. But whatever it was, it was Hanta's quirk that yanked him down. Standing up from his spot, Naruto quickly looked around for anyone else but wasn't able to find anyone again. He's for sure hiding somewhere out there. The blonde was sure of that, but somehow, he had to draw him out.
"Naruto, are you alright?"
"I'm fine!" The Uzumaki responded to his friend's concerned question, who went back to chasing around the swinging Hanta Sero. His eyes roamed around, narrowing at the bushes to find any movement he could but gave up some second later, shooting into the air as he sped up and tried to go for his classmate again.
Once again, this time, he heard the tapes coming towards him to yank him back. Although, the blonde was prepared this time, evading the tapes and taking hold of them. He pulled on them as he flew higher, and his plan successfully worked.
"So, Monoma is on their team too!" Setsuna muttered, no longer chasing her opponent, now standing next to Naruto while Yui was next to her. "He can copy others' quirks with his." The girl quickly explained to Naruto.
"What the hell, dude? The plan was for me to keep them distracted here so you and Aoyama could go and take their flag." Hanta complained as Monoma shrugged off his words.
Their opponents clearly heard that as Naruto quickly looked towards the girls next to him. "You guys go ahead. Yuga isn't particularly strong, and you should be able to handle him. I'll take care of them here."
"Hn!" Yui responded quietly. Though, Setsuna wasn't that convinced as she looked at him hesitantly though the look on his face told her he'd be fine.
"Alright, hotshot. You better not let Monoma get the better of you!" She teased slightly as she took a hold of Yui and flew off towards their objective. Hanta and Monoma shot their tape at her, but a giant firewall quickly burned it off as they turned to look at the smiling Naruto.
"This won't take too long here." Naruto taunted as he got a slightly hurt look from his classmate while his fellow blonde scoffed at him.
"We'll see about that!" Naruto shot off towards them as they swung upwards, evading their opponent. Turning around quickly, the Uzumaki flew up at them as they tried getting away. At first, he seemed to be going for Hanta but changed midway towards Monoma. He isn't as good at using Hanta's quirk, so definitely gotta take care of him first. He concluded. Thanks to his speed, Naruto got a hold of his fellow blonde, who, for some reason, was smirking at him, looking like he had gotten Naruto into a trap.
Though, the smirk fell off a second later. "What! Why can't I copy it!" He said in surprise at not being able to his quirk to copy Naruto's. The latter wondered about that himself for a quick second but filed it off for later as he spun around and used the surprised blonde in his arms as a meatshield for Hanta's attack.
It wasn't much of a fight after that. With Naruto's much faster speed, he quickly yanked the tape to him as Hanta was surprised when he stumbled forward. Naruto used the opportunity to launch his fellow blonde at his classmate as they collided against one another, knocking each other out.
That's taken care of, then. His eyes looked over towards the direction Setsuna and Yui had headed off to as he flew towards there.

"Man, I didn't even need to do anything," Kirishima whined in disappointment as he set down their opponents, who had fallen for the simple trap that Mei and Uraraka laid down. They had confronted Meijo and another student who he didn't recognize. But he hadn't been able to fight against them since they fell for the trap.
Uraraka giggled at that. "It doesn't matter, right? We just have to wait and hope for the others to return with the flag. I'm sure they've gotten it by now." Half an hour had passed since their teammates had set off, and they were patiently waiting. They were sure Todoroki had won against his opponents, having seen that ice attack before it melted away. They were also confident enough in their other classmate, Naruto, to get the flag. Although they didn't know much about Ibara, they also had faith she would hold her own as Setsuna had vouched for her being strong.
"Oh, they're back and with the flag in hand!" Mei's shout caused the two classmates to snap out of it and look over to see Naruto flying alongside Setsuna and Yui in his hands while the dark-green-haired girl had a flag in hers.
They were quick to greet them as they hurried back to their own beginning place to set down the flag there finally. Once they did, they waited a couple of seconds before they heard the mic turn on again.
"And that concludes the second event done as the second team has gotten the flag from the others!" They were slightly surprised to hear that the others had finished already before them. It made them wonder who exactly was on the team for them to win that fast. "Now, for the ones who are still in the forest. You don't need to go back. Just stay there and everyone will be picked back up for the third and final event to start in 3 hours!"
The mic cut off as they all smiled in happiness at having won.
