Chapter 8 (3,1K)
.~°~. .~°~. .~°~.
When Jack woke up the following morning, he found the bed next to him empty and still made from the previous day. He grimaced, feeling bad for Christian and hoping that he didn't end up spending the night on the couch waiting for Ana. Not that the couch was uncomfortable, but Jack knew that Christian didn't like sleeping on his own. Actually, over the past years, the rare times Jack had to leave town, Christian slept with a teddy bear.
He knew that Christian easily worried, especially for those he cared about, but also knew that Ana was too independent to rely on them. She wouldn't ask for their help unless she was in deep trouble. Still, he thought it was sweet how Christian easily horrid for Ana's welfare. Whether it was her coming back late from a night out, or her having a well-balanced life outside of school and them.
Jack had always known Christian to be quite the introvert. Unlike him, he didn't like to go out, he didn't like to go clubbing or to restaurants. But that didn't stop Christian from insisting Jack did all those things he liked, because to Christian, being in a relationship didn't mean that he had to impose his ways of life on his partner. Especially when they are so different from one another. Christian enjoyed the peace and quiet of their home, and Jack often went out with coworkers, knowing that his boyfriend wouldn't be mad at him for doing so. And it seemed that Christian applied the same logic to Ana.
With a sigh, Jack got up and opened the window to freshen up the room, like he did every morning. Then he went to the kitchen where he found Christian making eggs and homemade crumpets. He sat at the counter and yawned a good morning as he commented, "So … we're British now? I'm not replacing my morning coffee with any tea with milk, you hear me?"
Christian gave him a tight unamused smile and put a plate in from of him before sitting by his side and taking his hand in his,
"Jack, I … I'm sorry."
"About what? Did you break the toilets again? You know I'm no good with tools," Jack whined. Every time they had an issue a bit technical, they had to call in a professional because they were both so useless. So, with Ana's arrival, it happened less often. She was quite the tomboy in that department. Christian made fun that it was because she was raised by wolves and lions.
Christian shook his head, looking deep into Jack's eyes with remorse and guilt, "I broke my promise."
"What did you do?" Jack inquired, his voice colder than he had intended.
He knew of Christian's lust for Ana, he knew that Christian fantasised many times about her, but most of all, he knew that Christian would never take advantage of Ana being drunk to have sex with her. To tease her, maybe. To rile her up, without a doubt. But Christian would never in a million years have sex with someone impaired by alcohol. And knowing Ana, Jack had no doubt that she came home drunk, if not tipsy.
"I kissed her."
"Christian! We're literally days away from her graduation!" Jack cried out.
Ana had been a recurrent topic between the two men, especially after they realised that they were both attracted to her. It was odd to them at first because they had always been in monogamous relationships in the past, but after a lot of talking between them, they had agreed that nothing would be done or said to Ana until after she graduated.
Even though Jack wasn't her professor, he didn't like the idea of having sex with a student from his school. Living with one was one thing, sleeping with one was a whole other thing. Especially getting in the kind of relationship Christian and he wanted with Ana.
Christian promptly got up, probably annoyed with the tone Jack just used, and he retorted as he poured himself a glass of orange juice, "Well, I told you from the start that this whole thing was stupid! If we had been clear with her from the start, everything would be fine. We would know where she stands and she wouldn't have gone out with those idiots, and —"
"And I could have lost my job over this!"
"The board won't care! She's more than legal! She's an adult! She's not a fucking teenager!"
"Keep your voice down!" Jack angrily whispered, and they both glanced at the door leading to the corridor, half expecting Ana to show up and ask them what they were arguing about. Then Jack looked at Christian and took a deep breath. He shouldn't be so hard on the man. He knew that Christian didn't like holding back what he thought or felt, and still, he did it for him. So he took his hand in his, squeezing it gently as he tried to see the bright side of things,
"Well, at least it's the end of the year." Christian let out a sigh and moved so he could take Jack in his arms,
"I really am sorry, Jack. I never intended to break my promise. I just … it just happened."
"What happened exactly?"
"I don't know. She was just there, super hot and sexy. And I was tired and not thinking clearly. I think I was dreaming of her when she got home. So I kissed her. Actually, I got her on her back on the couch, but … she was drunk."
Jack nodded, knowing Christian and his limits and he kissed his chest snaking his hands all the way to his nape. Christian rested his forehead against his, pecking his lips in the process before he added, "We really need to have this talk with her, now. And if she's into trying this relationship with us, we'll have to have the birds and the bees talk."
"That ship has been long sailed. She's can pretend all she wants, but she's heard us plenty of times. You're not what we can call discreet, and I'm pretty sure she knows all about your dirty mouth, which I personally love."
They both chuckled, though Jack saw reflecting in Christian's eyes the same fear that was haunting his heart. What if Ana freaked out and left after they talked to her?
.~°~. .~°~. .~°~.
Jack came home shortly after four, with tons of papers to evaluate. He hated exam seasons. It was the period when he only had the down of being a professor since there was no more teaching and barely a few interactions with the students. He just couldn't wait for graduation week because it meant vacations afterwards. They still didn't discuss with Christian where they were going to go this year, but that was because, in their idealised version of events, Ana would be with them. After all, tonight was the make or break situation.
But when he got to the kitchen, he realised that tonight was ultimately going to be a break. Ana was nowhere to be seen, but her laptop was on the kitchen counter, opened on a Zillow page. She was looking for apartments, she was leaving.
Jack grimaced, closing his eyes and leaning against the stove as he wished he hadn't come home so early. Christian was much better at dealing with these kinds of situations. He was just crap at it. He heard footsteps and snapped his eyes open only to see Ana with her laptop in her arms, looking down at the floor. She was wearing a white summer dress with her hair loose and no makeup on. Not even mascara. And she looked completely defeated. Which gave Jack a glimpse of hope.
After all, Christian said that he left her after the kiss. And knowing Christian, he probably didn't say anything, not even a 'we'll talk later' kind of reassuring phrase. So now, from Ana's sweet perspective, she was the homewrecker who kissed his boyfriend.
"Ana …"
"I'm sorry, Jack. I didn't know you'd be home so soon. I … I'll just get out of your hair."
"We need to talk," he told her, taking a step in her direction. He really wished Christian had been here to have this talk, but she was obviously wracked with guilt and he couldn't let this go on. She looked so torn that he even wondered if she slept at all.
She finally looked up, her beautiful blue eyes teary and full of guilt, "I am so sorry, Jack! I don't know what took over me. I won't be an issue for much longer. I—"
He closed the distance between them and engulfed her in a bear hug, cursing Christian and his abrupt ways. If he had just taken the time to simply tell her that he knew, or that they would talk the next day, she wouldn't have spent the night torturing herself over nothing.
He kissed her hair and cupped her face, admiring her beauty despite her tears. She was so beautiful, and her beauty was what attracted Christian. But Jack had fallen for her sweet nature. Ana was a sweet person, no one could argue against that. And that was why he had fallen in love with her. He had told Christian as much. He knew Christian lusted for her, but he, Jack, loved her. And he felt that if this didn't work out, he would be the one most affected by Ana leaving.
"Ana … you have nothing to be sorry about."
"But … didn't Christian tell you …"
"He did. And to be honest, he has been wanting to kiss you for a very long time." He saw the confusion in her eyes and so he decided to take a page out of Christian's book and just be bunt and bold. "And so have I."
Slowly, he leaned in, giving her enough time to stop him or back away. But she didn't. She blinked, still trying to understand what he was saying in between words before it finally kicked in and she closed her eyes as their lips connected. It was something soft and delicate that made his heart pound with hope and love. Slowly, he closed the gap between them and angled his head to have better access to her mouth, tracing her lips with his tongue, and when they broke their kiss, he leaned his forehead against hers and said with a smile as he caressed her face,
"I guess now we can have that talk."
She timidly nodded and he took her hand so they could have this conversation in the comfort of their living room. Once they were sitting on the sofa, he scratched the back of his head, glancing at the corridor and hoping Christian would come home already.
"So … where to begin? Christian is bisexual, you know as much. And he's very attracted to you. To be totally honest, there have been a couple of nights when … he was thinking of you when he was with me."
Ana made a face, and he immediately laughed though he wasn't sure if it was nervous, or just amusement, "No! Not like that! We look nothing alike and you certainly don't look like a dude. I just know that there have been some nights when he wished he could have had you and he took it out on me. And now that I say it out loud, it does sound weird and twisted, but … so did I"
"So … you're bisexual too?" She asked, still looking confused and it was his turn to make a face. He never really liked labels, especially on something as insignificant as his sexuality. But then again, society didn't see the world as he did.
"Not really. If you really need a name for it, you can say I'm pansexual. I mean … How to put it? Christian was my friend long before he was my boyfriend. I've known him with two other relationships before we got together. I just didn't feel that connection when we were younger.
And don't get it confused as people usually do. I like sex. I love sex. But I need the connection first. And I connect with people's souls. Not their gender or identity. Does that make sense?"
"So you connected with … my soul?" She clarified, still unsure and he smiled to give her reason, taking her chin between his thumb and his finger,
"But then again, as Christian said many times before, what is there not to like about you? You are beautiful, in and out."
"How about the fact that I kissed your boyfriend without having any knowledge about all of this? That doesn't sound like a beautiful soul to me!" She retorted, and Jack could tell that she was still feeling bad about that whole kissing situation. One thing was for sure, if they had this relationship together, they would never be able to doubt her fidelity, loyalty was anchored deep within her.
"We were just waiting for you to graduate to have this talk, Ana. Christian kind of lost it when he saw you yesterday night, but we have been wanting to have this conversation with you for quite a while now. Your dress from last night just triggered it earlier than planned. Don't go feeling bad because he kissed you. I certainly don't."
She nodded once again and he couldn't help but notice, "You're taking this extremely well. I mean, I just told you that both Christian and I have been fantasising about you and …"
She blushed in the darkest shade of red he ever saw on a human being and admitted, "Well … I … have a confession as well. I too have been fantasising about you guys. In fact, I may or may not have dreamt about the three of us in a bed."
"You have?" He said with relief, a bright smile spreading on his lips, "So the whole menage a trois doesn't bother you?"
"I don't know. I don't think so. I never tried anything like that before. But as long as we're honest between us, why not try it? Have you?"
"No. And Christian either. So we're all virgins on that."
And finally, she laughed. One of those pure laughs from her heart that Jack loved so much. When she stopped, she was still smiling, though her tone was serious, "Still … I … you know, if we're going to put those fantasies to practice … How is this going to play out?"
Where the fuck is Christian when I need him? Jack had always been rather submissive when it came to sex, and even more with Christian. So he wasn't really sure how to answer Ana's questions. This was Christian's area of expertise. He was the sexpert in their relationship. He was the one who took Jack to places he had never been before.
"To be honest, I don't know. I mean, you heard him, right? You know he likes to talk dirty."
"Yes … but I think it's kind of sexy."
"It is," he agreed with a wink. "Now … I just think we should go with the flow and see. I mean, it's not like there is a dummies guide for this kind of situation."
"So we will have something the three of us together?"
"I guess. Christian has quite a few fantasies about that and I … I like the idea of watching you two."
She looked down, suddenly embarrassed and he wondered if he crossed the line. But then she told him, "I just … I'm not really fond of anal. So … we might have a problem here."
Jack couldn't help but laugh out loud at this. They had just been talking about starting a polyamorous relationship with the high possibility of threesomes, but Ana was getting prudish over telling him she didn't want to do anal. He calmed down under her glare and told her,
"I know this isn't the hole Christian is interested in when it comes to you. As for my part … let's just say I like the idea that there is an Ana thing and a Christian thing."
"Wow," she mused and in a span of one second, he saw her confidence come right back up. "Christian really should have taken me to your room last night. I would have had a good reason for not sleeping, instead of overthinking that whole kissing situation."
"Really? And what would you have done, then?"
"I would have made sure that I had two joysticks to play with all night long," she said with a teasing tone before moving so she could sit on his lap. Instinctively, his hands went to her ass beneath her dress. This was definitely a fantasy coming true. How many times did he dream of having Ana ride him, or go down on him?
"Do you want to know one of my dreams, Jack?" She asked, nibbling on his ear as she was grinding on him. He moaned, and she took it as her cue to continue,
"I have dreamt of pleasuring you." She took off his shirt and moved so she was kneeling on the floor between his legs as she opened his trousers, "I have dreamt of Christian telling me what to do to you until you would lose your mind because of what I would be doing to you with my mouth." She took his cock in her hand, so soft and somehow wet. "Maybe I should show you."
And without breaking eye contact, she took him in her mouth and his hand flew to her luscious locks as he threw his head backwards. She had a mouth to die for! She took him whole, drooling over him, sucking the life out of him whilst her delicate fingers were playing with his balls. If she kept going like that, this was going to be the best blowjob of his life.
"Oh my God! Ana! Don't fucking stop!" He grunted out, barely aware of anything but the gorgeous woman between his legs and the sinful things her mouth was doing to him. She moaned with his cock still in her mouth and he snapped his eyes open, trying to get some grip on reality and not finish too early like a prepubescent kid.
But what he saw quickly softened his ardour, Christian had finally come home, and he was looking at them with an angry glare.
