(Naruto's Home)
Naruto entered his home, and looked around and saw that all the lights were off before softly closing the door.
"Oh please, your parents obviously saw the news story of you helping the princess and the buffoon." Kurama said with a scoff, finding Naruto's attempt to sneak into the house pathetic.
Before Naruto could respond to Kurama the lights in the living room turned on revealing Kushina and Minato sitting on the couch.
Naruto froze at the fact that his mother was glaring at him which meant…..
"I'm gonna assume you know?" Naruto asked with a nervous chuckle.
Kushina's glare didn't waver at all at this. "You bet I know, now I have one question…." She said
Naruto gulped at this knowing his mom was most likely about to go off.
"Why didn't you tell me your girlfriend was Kim Possible?!" Kushina yelled a look of fury on her face
Naruto face faulted at this, not expecting this to be why she was mad.
Minato sighed at this as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Honey that's not important, Naruto was on the news now the akatsuki will be-"
"I don't give a damn about those red cloud fucks!" Kushina yelled as she turned to look at her husband who jumped back a little.
Kushina then turned to look at her son. "Now why didn't you tell me your new girlfriend is Kim Possible?" She asked
Naruto finally got up from his fall, and composed himself ok two things. "One: she's not my girlfriend and two: why does it matter?" He asked
"Because she's the daughter of my best friend from highschool Ann!" Kushina said with a bright smile as she reminisced about her old friend.
"Son, remember she told us about her old friend Ann before." Minato said with a chuckle at his wife being so happy.
"Oh I usually tune her out when she's talking about- Ow!" Naruto yelled as Kushina smacked him with a bokken sword.
"I raised you better than to ignore a lady!" Kushina yelled a look of fury on her face.
"You're a lady?- Ow!" Naruto asked with a joking smirk before Kushina smacked her again with her bokken sword.
"That's it, that's an hour of dodge training with me!" Kushina yelled as she charged at her son.
"Where did you even get that thing woman?!" Naruto yelled as he ran away from his mother. Into the backyard with Kushina close behind him and getting closer.
Minato sighed at this as he shook his head. "My family, everyone." He said
"And you love us anyway!" Kushina yelled from the backyard as the sound of her bokken sword hitting something and Naruto yelling was heard.
(the next day)
Naruto groaned as he went to his locker as he still had bruises from his mom's surprise training
'Can't you heal these bruises faster?' Naruto thought at Kurama as he opened his locker.
Kurama scoffed at this. "Yeah not happening. You need to work on your dodging, so consider it incentive to move quicker." He said with a snicker at Naruto
'Damn fox spirit,." Naruto thought as he took out some books and put them in his bag
"Uzumaki!" A voice yelled out making Naruto jump, and turned to look down the hallway where he saw Mr. Barken approaching him.
"Hey barken, I didn't do anything to get detention yet did I?" Naruto asked with a smile.
Mr barken looked at Naruto with a no nonsense look he always seemed to have as he approached Naruto. "Not yet Uzumaki, but I saw you on the news last night. So you're skilled enough to join Possibles team huh?" He asked as he looked at Naruto as if inspecting him.
"Uh yeah I am, is there a problem?" Naruto asked with a confused look on his face.
"Not at all…..if you join the basketball team." Barken said with a grin
Naruto froze at this before he sighed. "My mom called you didn't she?" He asked as this seemed like something his mother would do.
Mr barken nodded at this. "Indeed she did. Lovely woman said you needed a real after school activity, and after she sent me the video of you helping Possible in the arctic. I decided to see if you were interested in joining the team."
"If I don't you're gonna tell my mom aren't you?" Naruto asked with a flat tone.
"In a heartbeat, Uzumaki. So what's it gonna be?" Mr Barken asked
Naruto sighed at this before he nodded. "Ok fine, I'll join the team."
"Very good. I'll send the practice and game schedule to your mom so you will know when to show up. Don't be late, Uzumaki, I don't tolerate tardiness." Mr Barken said with a glare as he left Naruto to his locker.
Naruto sighed as he went back to his locker.
"Hey Naruto, how are you handling the new fame you got?" Ron asked as he approached.
"Well it got me a spot on the basketball team." Naruto said as he closed his locker
"Ah Barken got to you huh?" Kim asked from behind him, causing Naruto to jump in surprise.
"Jeez Kim don't do that!" Naruto said as he patted his chest.
"Ha! And I thought your ninja stalker was the only one that could get the drop on you!" Kurama said as he laughed.
"Well, I'm glad you have an after school activity now." Kim said with a smile as she opened her locker.
"Yeah yeah this won't affect helping you with missions will it?" Naruto asked because he didn't want to leave his friends hanging when they needed to be on an important mission.
"It should be okay Kim's the cheerleader squad captain, and it doesn't affect her." Ron said
"Wait, you're the captain of the cheerleader squad, and you're able to do these missions? You really can do anything." Naruto said with a smile
"Hey Kim, when did you get that club banana Jacket? I thought you didn't have the money for it?" Ron asked seeing that Kim was wearing her new jacket
"Oh Naruto bought it for me after I helped him find his mission outfit." Kim said with a smile as she adjusted her jacket.
"It's no big, just helping a friend out. Since she helped me." Naruto said
"Oh yeah, what mission outfit did you pick?" Ron asked since he didn't see Naruto's mission outfit back in the arctic.
Suddenly Kim's locker computer went off, and Wade appeared on the screen.
"Well, you're gonna show that off soon. What's the problem Wade?" Kim said
"We're getting a request to help an archeological team in the Sahara desert." Wade said as he showed what looked like a picture of a desert.
"Is it an emergency?" Naruto asked with a frown
"No no they just need some escorts because they are trying to find some hidden shrine." Wade said
"What kind of shrine Wade?" Kim asked curiously as she liked to get all the information on a mission.
"They call it the shrine of Shukaku." Wade said as he typed away at his keyboard
Naruto paused at this, and his eyes widened slightly in surprise
"Crap." Kurama said
Naruto sighed at this as he recalled the lessons about the tailed beasts he had to sit through back at the Yamanouchi Ninja School and he knew this mission was gonna be a problem if they found this temple.
"So they just need help finding this shrine?" Ron asked
"Yup so bring some sunscreen, I already have your transportation set up for after school. Oh and Naruto check your backpack." Wade said with a smile
Naruto quirked an eyebrow at this as he opened his backpack, and looked inside before he smiled. "Oh cool my gadgets for missions." He said before he closed his backpack.
"….How did he get into your backpack?" Ron asked curiously
"Talk later we've got class, later Wade." Kim said as she closed her locker
(Later in the day)
Naruto Kim and Ron were on a plane on there way to where they're needed
Naruto was wearing a orange no sleeve shirt, a white vest like like jacket that hung out a little, dark blue pants, and clack below his black combat boots
"Oh yeah Kim did you know our moms were apparently BFFs in high school?" Naruto said with a chuckle as he found this a funny coincidence.
Kim smiled at this and nodded. "Yeah my mom was telling me stories about her and your mom last night." she said
"Oh cool your mom's were buds surprised that they didn't stay close after that?" Ron said
Naruto frowned at this. "Yeah we had to stay in Japan for a bit before we moved here." He said deciding to be vague.
Kim raised an eyebrow at this but let it go before she remembered something. "Oh yeah Naruto my mom wants you and your family to come over for dinner sometime."
"That explains why mom was acting all excited about something tonight. She said if I don't come home by five she's gonna put me through a wall." Naruto said with a shudder.
"Yeah mom said your mom was a tomboy in school." Kim said with a chuckle
"More like a psycho." Naruto grumbled as he pouted
"Miss Possible we are coming up on the campsite of your archeologist clients." The pilot yelled from the cockpit.
"Thanks." Kim said as she got up, and took a parachute that was hanging from the wall. While Naruto and Ron took one too.
(later)
Kim Naruto and Ron landed in the sand safely thanks to their parachutes. Though, Ron didn't land on his feet.
"I'm OK!" Ron yelled from under his parachute.
Naruto shook his head at this as he approached his friend and helped him find his way out from under his parachute.
Kim saw a group of people in some desert attire and backpacks at a makeshift camp.
"Ah Miss Possible." one of the archeologists said as he approached them
It was a woman with short blue hair and what Kim found odd was she had a paper flower in her hair.
"Miss Tanaka?" Kim asked as the woman approached
"You may call me Konan." The woman said as she turned to look at Naruto who was pulling Ron out of his parachute. "This is your team?" She asked.
Kim nodded at this. "These are Ron Stoppable, and Naruto Uzumaki." She said as she gestured to her friend's.
Naruto, and Ron waved at Konan at this.
"So you called us to help you with finding a temple or shrine?" Kim asked
"Actually Miss Possible, we found it. We just need your help with exploring the temple." Konen said as she led them towards what looked like a big hole in the desert near the campsite.
"What exactly are you looking for in this shrine?" Naruto asked curiously
Konan looked at Naruto and smiled. "We don't know what is in there. The shrine has been hidden for so long, we don't know what we may find." She said
Naruto mentally sighed at this. 'Oh good she isn't after your brother." He thought at Kurama
"Bah! She can have him!" Kurama yelled
"Well let's get down there." Kim said as she was handed a rope by one of the archeologists.
"Are you sure this is safe Kim? what if this place is booby trapped?" Ron asked as he looked down the hole
"It should be fine Mr Stoppable the hole leads into the center of the temple and most booby traps are in the beginning of the temple." Konen said with a comforting smile.
"Well if you say so." Ron said as he followed Kim and Naruto down the rope.
Konan's smile faded before she tapped a pin snapped like a red cloud on the collar of her jacket "They are in there be ready to take either Stoppable or Possible when the one tails bonds with one of them." she said
[Got it] a voice said from the pin.
(Shukaku's shrine)
Naruto, Kim, and Ron looked around and saw that some lights were already set up.
"Well at least they set up some lights for us." Naruto said
"Yeah for the hallways, but be sure to have your flashlights ready." Kim said
Naruto and Ron nodded at this as they started to walk down the hallway.
As they walked they saw that there were carvings of what looked like a giant raccoon-dog.
"Wow this place has a thing for raccoons." Ron said as he looked at the carvings
"Actually Ron that's a tanuki." Naruto said with a smile at his friend
"Do those actually exist?" Kim asked
"Well yes, but they aren't magical like you probably think." Naruto said with a nervous chuckle
"Yea and kitsune aren't magical either." Kurama said with sarcasm, lacing his words.
Before Naruto could respond he noticed the ceiling starting to shake.
"Guys move!" Naruto shouted when suddenly a stone wall came crashing down. Ron quickly pushed his friends out of the way as the wall crashed down, cutting the quartet off from each other with Naruto and Kim on one side, Ron and Rufus on the other.
"Okay buddy looks like it's you and me on our..." Ron said as he took a low glup.
Suddenly he felt the room beginning to shake up beneath him as he walked down the hall then noticed a hole open up in the ceiling as a large boulder came down rolling down the ground.
"Aaaaaaaah!" Ron and Rufus screamed as the blond teen ran off at top speed to avoid the incoming boulder trailing after him.
Rufus ducked into Ron's pocket for dear life so he wouldn't all out and get squashed
Ron didn't dare try to look back as the ran away only focusing on speeding his pace to put as much distance as he could between him and the boulder
unknown to Ron what looked like a ghost of a teen male with red hair and pale skin was watching Ron
(with Naruto)
"I hope Ron, and Rufus are doing okay." Kim said as they walked
"I'm sure Ron will be fine. He's been through this kind of thing before, right?" Naruto asked
Kim nodded at this they walked through their own hallway, as they did Kim failed to notice a nearby tile with a Shukaku emblem on it causing it to glow suddenly the room began shaking and suddenly four of the tiles began to fall from the floor beneath Kim's feet.
"Kim!" Naruto shouted, grabbing hold of Kim's hand just as she was about to fall over pulling her to safety.
"Thanks." Kim said as she composed herself.
"No problem, we better watch ourselves here." Naruto said unintentionally stepping on another marked tile.
Naruto's ears picked up a strange sound and grabbed Kim jumping away as the tiles began to crumble away.
"You know, what's going on?" Kim asked
Naruto looked around the room when he noticed a tile nearby.
"My guess is that." Naruto said pointing to the marked tile "Each time we step on that mark it's like we're insulting Shukaku. So it'll trigger the tiles beneath it to fall."
"So in other words, we've gotta make sure we keep track of the tiles we step on." Kim said
"That's about the size of it." Naruto said as him and Kim slowly started to make their way across the tiles taking care to not set off another trap.
(With Ron)
Ron continued to run down the hallway, and soon made it through a passageway which caused the boulder to finally stop.
"Well at least I got my cardio for today." Ron panted as he caught his breath.
Rufus poked his head out of Ron's pocket, and jumped onto his shoulder before he looked around at where they were.
Ron looked around, and saw they were in a chamber and saw that in front of him was what looked like a big statue of a tanuki.
What really stood out was that in the tanuki statues hands was a light brown Gem that was shining slightly.
"This will make those archeologists happy." Ron said with a smile as he approached the gem
Rufus felt something coming from the Gem that made his whiskers stand up on end and when he saw Ron about to touch it. Rufus ran down his hand before Ron could grab the gemstone.
The gem started to glow as the roof of the chamber exploded filling the chamber with a blinding light.
"Finally we have a suitable host for the one tail." a man said as he dropped down into the chamber.
He had blonde hair that was styled so it covered one of his eyes. He was also wearing what looked like a black cloak with red clouds on it.
"Who the heck are you?" Ron asked as he used his arm to try blocking the sunlight from blinding him. As his eyes adjusted to the light.
"Names Deidara Mr Stoppable, not that it will matter to you once my group is done." The man said as he held up his palms which showed to have mouths on them.
Before Ron could respond, what looked like a giant hawk made of clay grabbed him from behind.
"Hey! Let me go!" Ron yelled as the clay hawk flew towards the hole outside after Dedaria jumped onto his back.
As this was happening Naruto, and Kim finally made it through another entrance.
"Ron!" Kim yelled as she and Naruto saw Ron being abducted by Deidara.
"KP! Naruto!" Ron yelled as the clay hawk carrying him flew off through the hole leading outside.
naruto and Kim quickly used there grapple gun to try and pursue Dedaria
but nearby the ghost that was watching Ron was fading away
"Hmmm not the host I was hoping for but I suppose a loyal pet is a good choice" the ghost said before he lightly smiled as he fully faded away
(outside)
"That was easier than I would have expected." Deidara said flying off on a clay hawk carrying Ron.
Rufus poked his head out of ron's pocket to look around
"Hey buddy, that bright light give you black eyes?" Ron asked seeing that Rufus now had what looked like bags under his eyes.
Rufus then climbed up Ron's body and scampered around the clay hawk carrying his best friend. He crawled around the Hawk biting down on the hawk and a small explosion was released from the impact causing Deidara, Ron and Rufus to fall.
"That damn rat." Deidara growled as he watched them fall
Rufus's shined yellow as sand began to form around him growing in size until it formed a large circular cushion for Rufus and Ron as they landed safely on the ground.
"Wait...no way...That little rat has the One-Tail!?" Deidara exclaimed in shock.
The sand began engulfing Rufus's body forming into a large sand construct of Rufus with Shukaku's markings and eyes hissing as it looked up at Deidara.
"Well then this might not be as easy as I expected but it doesn't matter." Deidara said as he held several pieces of clay tossing them out into the air causing several clouds of smoke to pop up around him forming into several clay birds flying around him in a formation as Deidara stood in the center atop of the clay hawk.
"Now try this!" Deidara shouted as the birds took off after the naked mole rat.
Rufus braced himself roaring as he fired off chunks of sand forming themselves into shields exploding on impact shattering the sand.
Rufus ran around the ground charging off at Deidara while the assassin hovered in the skies. Rufus rolled around the ground firing off spears of pure sand towards Deidara at a rapid blast forcing him to fly and avoid the oncoming attacks.
Meanwhile Ron was watching this, his eyes wide in shock as he watched his best buddy fight Deidara.
Naruto and Kim finally made their way out of the hole Dedaria made.
As they looked around they spotted Rufus made out of sand attacking Deidara and several explosions going off around him from the man's attacks
"What the sitch?!" Kim asked as even after a few years of doing these missions this was new even for her.
While Naruto's eyes widened in surprise at this as he didn't expect the one tail spirit to possess a pet naked mole rat. But Kurama on the other hand.
"Ahahahahahahha! That idiot possessed a rat! Oh God I can't breathe!" The kitsune spirit laughed as he rolled around on the ground in Naruto's mindscape.
Deidara scowled at the fact that a pet rat was giving him so much trouble before he spotted Ron. Who was nearby watching before grinning as he made some small clay birds. "Let's see if the beast is in his own mind enough to save his friend!" He yelled as he sent his clay birds at Ron.
"Ah! exploding art!" Ron yelled as he ran away.
The birds easily caught up but before the birds could detonate and strike Ron a wall of sand blocked their path and grabbed them making them explode.
Rufus then roared at Deidara and started to throw more sand spears at him trying to grab him.
"Yeah, kick his butt buddy!" Ron yelled, throwing his arms in the air to show encouragement.
"Ron what the heck is going on?!" Kim asked as she and Naruto ran over.
"Me and Rufus found this glowing gem and next thing I know this guy with mouths on his hands showed up and tried to kidnap me. Then Rufus started going all Kaiju on him!" Ron yelled in a panic.
"That guy is obviously after the power Rufus now has. We need to try and help pin this guy down." Naruto said
"How are we gonna do that?" Ron asked as he turned to watch more of the fight.
Deidara struggled to avoid the various attacks coming his way he kept his eyes locked onto Rufus as he held up his hand pulling up a large portion of clay feeding it into his hand before a large clay owl appeared hovering above Rufus.
"Okay let's see you try defending both you and your little friends from this!" Dedaria said with a grin as the clay Owl charged up turning into a giant sized bomb.
"That's a lot of clay." Kim said as they all ran to take cover.
"And if it's like his smaller birds it's gonna make a massive explosion." Naruto said as he followed.
"Buddy you have the whole dessert around you, use it!" Ron shouted as Kim dragged him off.
Rufus smiled at this before the sand around him started to form behind him into a massive wave of sand.
Deidara's eyes widened at this before he turned the clay bird he was flying on around to retreat.
"Surf's up!" Rufus yelled as he threw his arms forward which caused the wave of sand to launch itself at the clay owl.
The owl screeched as it was overwhelmed by the sand tsunami.
"Got ya!" Rufus yelled as he clenched his hand out in a fist.
This caused the sand engulfing the owl to clench and crush the clay owl causing a massive explosion which kicked up a lot of sand and sent Rufus falling to the ground and to fall away into sand.
"Rufus!" Ron yelled as he ran to the pile of sand where his pet fell to search for him.
Naruto looked into the sky and after a few moments of focusing he saw Deidara was in the distance far away from them now.
"Looks like he's retreating." Kim said as she was also looking in Deidara's direction.
"Yea well if I was against us and a giant sand naked mole rat. I would run too." Naruto said with a chuckle
"Found him!" Ron yelled as he held up Rufus.
Naruto and Kim ran over to Ron who was holding up Rufus
"Rufus you ok buddy?" Ron asked as Rufus laid in his palm.
"Hungry." Rufus whined as his stomach growled.
"Looks like him going off on that guy made him hungry and tired." Naruto said with a chuckle.
"Awww good little naked rodent." Kim said with a smile as she pet Rufus.
"I'm glad you are all ok." A voice said behind them.
"Oh miss Konan." Kim said as they turned to look behind them and saw Konan and her team of archeologists approaching them.
"Did things go okay, in the Tomb?" Konan asked Kim
"Yeah we found this-." Ron was saying before Naruto tapped him on the forehead.
"We found a chamber, and this freak with clay bombs attacked us." Naruto said deciding to be vague.
Kim noticed that Naruto was being vague and nodded at this. "Yeah, don't worry, the temple should be safe to explore now." she said.
"Very well, thank you for helping us." Konan said with a nod at them as her team of archeologists left to enter the Tomb.
"Okay let's head home, my mom wants me home in time for dinner." Kim said as she took out her communicator to call Wade.
Naruto, and Ron nodded as they followed Kim.
Konan looked around at the area, and saw that there were still some signs of the fight that happened despite the fact that the sand buried everything.
(later back in Middleton)
Kim, and Ron were in Naruto's car letting Naruto drive them home after their mission.
"So what was the deal with you not wanting to tell Konan about Rufus and his new sand abilities?" Ron asked from the backseat of the car.
Naruto sighed at this as he knew he had to be careful about how he answered. "I figured it would be best not to let it get out that Rufus has abilities." He said
"Yeah probably for the best, don't want him to be taken away and experimented on." Kim said with a nod as she agreed with Naruto.
"I'm just curious how Rufus gained this power." Wade said from Kim's communicator which was on Naruto's dashboard so he could talk to them.
"Maybe there are some legends about this shukaku that involve sand, think you can find something Wade?" Kim asked.
"Leave it to me Kim." Wade said with a nod before he hung up.
Naruto said nothing at this but he was nervous as he knew if Wade found real information on Shukaku then eventually he would find the legends about the other tailed beasts.
They soon stopped in front of Ron's house.
"Thanks for the ride, bud." Ron said with a smile as he got out while Rufus poked his head out of his pocket to wave at Naruto and Kim.
"No problem, just be sure to feed the sand Bender here a good meal." Naruto said with a smile at Rufus
"Cheese!" Rufus cheered with a smile
"Okay okay buddy let's eat." Ron said with his own smile as he went inside his house.
Kim chuckled at this as Naruto drove off.
Soon they arrived at Kim's house and Naruto noticed a familiar car in the driveway.
"Oh jeez." Naruto said with a groan as he parked the car.
"What's wrong?" Kim asked
"It's about time you two showed up!" Kushina yelled from the front door.
"You didn't say that dinner with both our families was tonight." Naruto said to Kim as he got out of the car.
"I didn't know." Kim said as she followed Naruto towards her house.
(inside the Possible house)
Naruto and Kim entered the house and saw Minato and James in the living room talking.
"It's about time you got here." Jim said from his seat in front of the TV next to Tim.
"Yeah miss Kushina's been planning your wedding with mom sis." Tim said with a grin at his sister.
Kim blushed at this whole Naruto groaned and slapped his forehead.
"Mom I'm gonna-." Naruto was yelling before he was interrupted.
"You ain't gonna do anything, besides those two were kidding…..mostly." Kushina said with a chuckle as she and Ann came into the room.
Kim glared at her brothers at this mad that they got one over on her.
*You're both just in time, me and Kushina just finished dinner." Ann said as she smiled at Naruto "so this is Naruto." she said as she looked at him.
"Um yes that's me, Miss Possible." Naruto said
"He has your mischievous side, I can already tell." Ann said to Kushina who smiled back at her best friend.
"Yeah he used to prank the last school he was in before we moved here." Kushina said as they all went into the dining room.
Kim quirked an eyebrow at this before she realized something….."Someone has been pranking the A-listers at school the past couple days." She said as she looked at Naruto.
"Wow, is that meatloaf?" Naruto yelled trying to change the subject as they all sat down at the dining table.
"Your son is a prankster?" James asked
"Officially nobody has proven anything, so I'm gonna say no." Minato said with a chuckle.
"Don't worry he doesn't prank anyone who doesn't have it coming. Plus he makes sure it's harmless, and no lasting damage." Kushina said
"Well at least he's not starting fights, like you used to." Ann said
"Miss Kushina got into fights?" Jim asked curiously.
"All the time, I think they still have her picture up in the hall of fame of her chasing the football team?" Ann said with a chuckle
"Mom, was that desperate? Ow!" Naruto yelled as a bread roll nailed him in the forehead courtesy of Kushina.
"For your information the captain of the team hit on me and wouldn't take no for an answer. So I had to get rough with him, and his friends." Kushina said
"That makes more sense." Naruto grumbled as he sat down.
Okay you two, tell me how did your mission go?" Ann asked as everyone loaded up their plates.
"We were called Into the Sahara desert to help with this temple." Kim said
"Temple?" Jim asked with a smile
"Did it have traps?" Tim asked
"Yeah but it was easy for me and Kim." Naruto said with a smile
"So what kind of temple was it?" James asked curiously
"It was for some beast called shukaku I think?" Kim said
Kushina and Minato paused at this before they looked at each other.
Naruto paused too as his parents looked at him 'crap' he thought.
"Hey at least my idiot brother chose a rat, and not a dangerous host!" Kurama said with a laugh
Naruto sweatdropped at this' you chose a six year old kid.' He thought with a flat tone.
Kurama goes silent at this comment.

Naruto was walking towards his locker and saw Kim and Ron at her locker.
"Hey guys." Naruto said as he opened his locker
"Hey Naruto. Ron said with a tired tone
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this as he looked at Ron then Kim. "Ah, is she talking about her cousin Larry again?" he asked with a chuckle
"Again would imply that she stopped." Ron said in total exhaustion as Kim could really talk
"Hey, you asked what was so bad about him." Kim said with a sheepish smile.
"Oh come on Kim, so he's a nerd. We all have geeky things we like." Naruto said as he took out some books from his locker.
"I don't." Kim said as she rolled her eyes
"Oh really? So the tweebs were lying about your stuffed animal collection and that you have names for each one? And what about your brothers and dad always talking about that rocket show" Naruto asked with a smirk.
Kim froze at this before she blushed a little and scowled. "I'm gonna kill those two." she said
"Looks like Naruto wins this round." Ron said with a smile as Naruto always won against Kim
Rufus then poked his head out of Ron's pocket. "Uh huh!" he said nodding in agreement
"Hey little guy, how's the sand bender of the team doing?" Naruto asked with a smile.
"Pretty good so far but he keeps having bad dreams though." Ron said a little worried for his friend Rufus.
Rufus nodded at this as he shivered "Tanuki yelling at me." he said
"I'm sure it will be ok little guy." Naruto said as he handed Rufus a small bag of nacho chips.
"Yay!" Rufus yelled as he took the chips.
"Has he been practicing with that sand stuff?" Kim asked curiously wondering how to train the naked mole rat given he had some impressive skills already
"Yeah but nothing too crazy. Unless you count him making a sandstorm, when some bullies tried taking my lunch money." Ron said remembering that disaster, and the screaming.
"I still say you should join me for training Ron." Naruto said as he closed his locker.
"Yea no thanks I have seen how your mom trains you." Ron said with a shiver as he remembered that time he visited Naruto at his house and saw him and his mom sparring.
Rufus shook his head at this as he also remembered how Kushina scared him and Ron.
Before Naruto could respond he spotted what looked like Wade approaching them "Wade? What are you doing here?" he asked as it was strange to see him not on a screen
Ron quickly turned around and saw Wade and approached him
"Hey it's about time we got to officially meet-" Ron was saying as he reached over to pat Wade on the head but his hand went through him surprising Ron and Naruto
"Ok now I'm confused." Naruto said as Wade disappeared
Suddenly Kim's locker computer turned on showing Wade at his computer.
"Looks like your new hologram tech works Wade" Kim said with a smile as it was amusing to watch
"Ok now I'm impressed" Naruto said as he thought Wade was impressive with the gadgets he had seen so far but holographic tech was something else
"We got a hit on the site from a Monty Fisk" Wade said giving her the information he had
"The archeologist?" Kim asked recognizing the name as she was in pretty much every circle
"Oh great, is it another Tomb of some crazy beast?" Ron asked in a whiney tone of voice
"All he said was that he wanted escorts into some temple named after some being called Son Goku" Wade said
Naruto paused at this and frowned as he recognized this name 'the monkey king' he thought to himself knowing about the tailed beast who was basically called a god
"Ha! Looks like old banana breath is gonna get loose soon" Kurama said with a chuckle
"Where are we heading Wade?" Kim asked wondering what part of the world they were heading
"To Cambodia I already have a ride set up for you all" Wade said
Cool hope I can find a use for some of my new gadgets on this mission Naruto said with a smile as the bell to signal schools end went off.
