Previous chapter: Bella - BPOV

His words make me fall in love with him even more, and I sigh happily as I lean my head against his chest and say: "You're the perfect one, Jasper. Please distract me. I'm going to drive myself crazy if you don't." I shiver as a burst of lust and desire crashes over me and bite my lower lip as he leans down and whispers: "With pleasure, darlin'." I moan as Jasper kisses his way down my body. And after that, all thoughts of the impending arrival of my parents vanish from my mind as Jasper shows me heaven for hours on end. Mission accomplished.

Bella - BPOV

I wring my hands as I stare at the clock again. Twelve hours have passed since Caius called me to say the plane had left the airport. What in the hell is taking them so long? I wish Jasper would have kept me distracted a little longer. I huff as I hear him snicker behind me and slap his arm playfully as he hugs me from behind while I say: "I'm glad I amuse you, Major." I smile as he kisses the top of my head and says: "You're so cute when you're annoyed, darlin'. It makes me want to drag you back upstairs. I'll never get enough of you, pumpkin."

I stifle a moan as he trails kisses down my neck, and I say: "Well, Major, I promise to make it up to you tonight if you're a good little soldier as of right now. You're wrinkling my dress."

I smile as Jasper immediately releases his hold in me and lifts his hands in mock surrender as he drawls: "My apologies, ma'am." God, he knows exactly what that accent does to me. I can see it in his eyes as I turn to look at him and say: "Using your accent to charm me, Major? You know me so well." Jasper smiles as he lifts his hand to stroke my cheek, and I sigh happily as he sends me his love and says: "I love you so much, pumpkin."

The sound of a car making its way up the driveway makes us look outside, and I take a deep unneeded breath as I spot my father behind the wheel and the beautiful blond woman beside him. Jasper shakes his head as he grabs my hand and says: "Athenodora is even more nervous than you are, darlin'. Come on. Let's go greet them."

Jasper – JPOV

I send Bella a wave of calm as I lead her outside to greet her parents, and I smile as she squeezes my hand softly and whispers: "I don't know how I would survive without you, Jasper. You always know exactly what I need." Bella sighs happily as I send her my love, and I smile as I lean down to kiss her forehead and say: "Anything for you, darlin'. Now, come. Your father is getting rather impatient."

Bella takes a deep unneeded breath as we step out onto the front lawn, and we watch as Caius moves to the passenger's side of the car to assist Athenodora. I snicker as she swats his hand away while she gets out of the car and says: "I won't have my daughter thinking that I'm a weak female, Caius. I'm more than capable of getting out of this car without your assistance."

Bella giggles as her father rolls his eyes at his wife and says: "No creature in his right mind would ever dare call you weak, my dear." He doesn't wait for her response as he turns to look at Bella and opens his arms to greet her. I smile as Bella throws herself into his waiting arms and says: "I missed you so much, papà."

Caius sighs happily as he kisses the top of her head and says: "And I missed you, mia figlia *. Now, let me introduce you to your mother before she decides to kill me because I'm taking too long." Athenodora glares at Caius as he takes a step back, and Bella giggles as her mother says: "You're lucky that I love you, Caius Volturi. Not many women would tolerate your behavior."

Caius snickers as he takes Athenodora's hand and says: "I'm well aware of that, my love. It only makes me love you more." Athenodora smiles as he leans down to kiss her forehead, and I can feel Bella's nerves spike as he whispers: "Ready to meet our daughter, Dora?"

Bella - BPOV

I smile as another wave of calm washes over me, just as Jasper materializes beside me and grabs my hand. I gently squeeze his hand in a silent thank you and turn to look at the woman standing next to my father. A bright smile lights her face, and I can help but smile as she closes the distance between us to hug me tight and whispers: "Dio mio **, you're even more perfect in person, mia figlia. I'm so glad you invited us."

I pull back as Athenodora loosens her hold on me, and I say: "So am I, mama. Christmas wouldn't have been the same without you and papà. I can't wait till I'm ready to fly. I can't wait to see Volterra." Athenodora smiles as she strokes a loose strand of hair behind my ear and says: "You will love it, and I'm sure that with your impeccable control, you'll be flying over to see us before you know it. Now, by the way, he's looking at you; I would say that the handsome man standing next to you is my future son-in-law Jasper. It's a pleasure to meet you, Major."

I smile brightly as Jasper bows his head respectfully and says: "The pleasure is all mine, Queen Athenodora. We've been looking forward to your visit. Won't you come inside so that we can introduce you to the rest of our coven and show you your room?"

Athenodora nods in agreement and smiles as Jasper holds out his arm to accompany her inside. I giggle as Caius rolls his eyes at Jasper and says: "She won't let me help her out of the car, but she's fine with your mate turning on his Southern charm. I swear I'll never understand woman, no matter how long I live." I snicker as my mother blows him a kiss and says: "You don't have to understand me to love me."

Jasper – JPOV

I must say that Athenodora surprises me. I've heard her talk to Bella over the phone numerous times these past few months, but I would never have thought of her as such a strong and loving person. She's the perfect counterweight for Caius. They complete each other perfectly, and the love that they share is as bright and strong as the love between Bella and me.

I also like that Athenodora doesn't feel the need to chatter away. She simply smiles as I lead her to the backyard, with Caius and Bella following behind us. I raise my brow questioningly as she stops walking when she catches sight of the huge Christmas tree in our backyard. I turn to look at my Bella as I feel a wave of uncertainty coming from her, but I smile as Athenodora lets out an enthusiastic squeal and starts raving about how beautiful everything looks.

The joy that bubbles up inside my mate as her mother tells her how much she adores what Bella did to decorate the place makes me like her mother even more. Bella will never forget Renee, but I'm glad that Athenodora can fill that hole inside her and be the mother that Bella needs for the rest of eternity. Caius moves to stand next to me as mother and daughter make their way toward the Christmas tree, and I smile as he pats my shoulder and says: "You will forever be in my wife's good books by suggesting this trip."

"That was not why I suggested it, Master. My Bella's happiness was all I thought of at the time."

Caius snickers as Athenodora throws me an approving look and says: "And still scoring points. The next thing I know, I will be hearing sentences like 'why can't you be more like Jasper'. Please, spare me that." Athenodora rolls her eyes at his words, and I sigh happily as Bella walks over to wrap her arms around me and whispers: "Mine."

I nod as I place a kiss on her forehead and say: "Only yours, pumpkin."

Bella - BPOV

Jasper snickers as Athenodora turns to Caius, and I realize that he can feel her mischievousness as she places her hand on my father's arm and says: "See, Caius, Jasper knows…" I giggle as my father interrupts her by kissing her passionately before saying: "There's no need to finish that sentence, amore mio. You know damn well that you're mine."

A snort from behind us pulls our attention to the eight vampires that came outside to greet my parents, and I shake my head as Peter says: "After that display, we all know that she's yours, Caius. It was a great way to traumatize your daughter for eternity, by the way."

Emmett lets out a booming laugh at Peter's words, and we all start laughing as he says: "She's been living close to you for the past months, Peter. She has seen worse."

Jasper shakes his head at Emmett and Peter as he turns back to Athenodora and says: "May I introduce my brothers, Peter and Emmett, and their mates, Charlotte and Rosalie." I smile as my mother walks their way and hugs them one by one. The look on Peter's face is priceless as she thanks him for being my big brother when I need him to, and I snicker as he mutters a quick 'thank you' as Athenodora walks back to Caius. I swear he would be blushing if he were still human.

I watch as my brothers and sisters step back while Jane and Alec step forward with Michael and Bree by their sides. I can help but smile as my two beautiful children bow their heads slightly out of respect for their queen before introducing their mates to her. Athenodora smiles brightly as she hugs the four of them and says: "God, you're so cute together. Oh, Caius, this is going to be the most wonderful Christmas in centuries."

I smile as Caius pulls her close and says: "Every Christmas by your side is wonderful, amore mio, but I agree that this one will be a Christmas we will never forget. Now, mia figlia, where is this room Jasper spoke off? I would love to freshen up."

Jasper – JPOV

Bella smiles as she leads her parents into the renovated barn, and I smile as I feel their love for Bella as she shows them the guestroom she prepared especially for them. The rest of us make our way to the common room. Most of us plop down on the couches in front of the television to watch a movie. I smile as Jane successfully takes away the remote from Peter and thereby saving us from another Lord of the Rings marathon.

Bella raises her brow questioningly as she walks into the room and finds Peter pouting. She giggles as she realizes that Jane is holding the remote, and I sigh happily as she moves to sit next to me and snuggles close to me. Peter lets out a loud groan as Jane selects one of Bella's favorite movies but stops as he realizes how happy Bella is with Jane's choice. Even Athenodora squeals in delight as she enters the common room and sees which movie Jane selected.

Caius simply smiles as his wife plops down on the couch next to Bella to watch the movie. Soon both she and Bella are so engrossed in the movie that they don't even notice it as he motions me to follow him outside.
