If you want to make sure you're getting the chapters on the correct days, you should go check this fic out on AO3. One More Rose by Formidable_Coccinelle because I'm better about remembering to update there than I am here. I hope you enjoy, though!
"He was Silencer," she offered, "and Truth back when we were in collège. He's also the son of Captain Hardrock and Guitar Villain, so he was there for Crocodeul, too."
"That's Jagged Stone's kid," Adrien exclaimed through his whisper. "That's so cool." He shook his head. "That's not the point, don't try to distract me. Is he Viperion?" She blushed at how quickly he got it, but she nodded regardless. "That's where I've seen him before. I was in the sewer with you guys that day, 25,913 times."
"Oh, kitty," she said quietly. She placed a gentle hand on his cheek to try to offer comfort. "You really didn't have to do that to impress me. I always thought Chat Noir was much cooler than any of the temporary heroes anyway." He led her into the changing area and she stood on the other side of the curtain once again.
After a minute, Nathalie walked in. "Reset," she announced, not looking up from her tablet. Adrien was put into the clothing that he was wearing when they walked in. "The forecast is calling for heavy rain, we don't want to ruin the equipment, and the sky won't work well for the summer line."
She was lightly scowling when she added, "we're rescheduling to a sunset shoot tomorrow. Everyone is expected to arrive at this lot by 16h00." Everyone gave a general sound of acknowledgment. Adrien was back in his normal clothes after almost no time and walked over to Marinette who was speaking with Nathalie.
"Mlle. Dupain-Cheng, we, at Gabriel, would like to formally extend an invitation to you for tomorrow's photoshoot as an apology for not being able to give you a full experience this morning." Adrien's face was still neutral, but she could see that his eyes had a spark of hope that she would be willing to come back.
"Yes, please. I would love to come back tomorrow. Thank you for the opportunity."
"Adrien, do you and Mlle. Dupain-Cheng require an escort for the remainder of the day, or should I send M. Gorille home?"
"He deserves a break," he told Nathalie. He held the small of Marinette's back and the three left the changing area. Adrien ruffled his hair to give it a slightly less well-kept appearance as they walked. "Is there anything left on my calendar for today?"
"Dinner is scheduled for 20h with your father, but that can be changed to accommodate Mlle. Dupain-Cheng if you would like." He looked to Marinette for her opinion.
"I'm having dinner with a friend. Thank you, though." She blushed and Nathalie nodded in acknowledgement. Adrien was trying to get them out of the gate and, hopefully, out of the public eye so he could be done acting like perfect-model Adrien Agreste. They were about to step out of the gate when Marinette stopped walking in reaction to her name being called.
They turned to face the voice and found Luka, Juleka, and Rose a few meters away. "Do you want to just hang out now while we should all have some time set aside," Juleka offered. Luka had talked her into making the suggestion under the impression that if Marinette accepted, neither of them confessed their feelings, but if she refused, they were hopefully on a date after confessing.
Marinette looked to Adrien for his opinion and his eyes briefly brightened. "Sounds good to me," he said, with a barely existing smile on his face. The five of them left the site and Adrien took his hand off the small of Marinette's back. She watched his shoulders loosen instantly and he let out a long sigh. They were standing off the site of the shoot, planning to talk about what to do with the time that they had.
"So, It sounds like you all know each other, but I've only gotten Juleka's name," Adrien said to the group during a lull in conversation.
"Oh, right." Luka extended a hand toward Adrien and Adrien shook it. "I'm Luka Couffaine, Juleka's brother."
"I'm Rose," the blonde girl said, "I've been dating Juleka for 9 years." He noticed that Juleka was wearing her hair down and holding the girl's hand. He liked the contrast of the aesthetics between the punk vs. pink girlfriends in front of him.
"Marinette was our class rep when we were in collège," Juleka informed, pointing between herself and Rose. "She also used to come to pretty much every Kitty Section concert way back when."
"You guys know Kitty Section? Sometimes it feels like I'm the only person who's ever heard of them," Adrien laughed a little bit.
"We sure do," Juleka said. "Anyway, how about we go get breakfast and we can talk there? I really don't want to be outside when the downpour starts."
Marinette led them all to a little breakfast spot she knew nearby that had decent pastries. Obviously, they're not as good as her parents', but they're passable. The five of them got seated by a window and Adrien slid out Marinette's chair for her.
"So, how do you know Kitty Section," Rose asked, "did Marinette show them to you?" She sounded like she was just genuinely curious, but Marinette knew what she was leading up to.
"No. One of the DJs that we hired for a younger demographic launch party last year showed them to me. It wasn't part of his set, but he was really excited to show them off and I've been a huge fan ever since."
"Was it DJ Bubbler," Rose asked excitedly.
"Yeah. He did great. I'm trying to have my dad bring him in more, but I usually don't have much say in that side of the business. Anyway, I can't believe you guys went to a Kitty Section concert, that's so cool!" Marinette couldn't help but to let out the small giggle that she was trying to hold in.
"Adrien, this is Kitty Section," she told him, motioning to her friends. "Ivan, the drummer, isn't here, but Luka is on guitar, Juleka is on bass, and Rose is their lead singer." The three of them offered him a small wave and Adrien's face became red when he realized he'd been excited about a band to the band.
"Can't forget Kitty Section's lead designer," Luka added, motioning to Marinette. "If you've seen our Spotify page, Marinette did all of our cover art, too."
"Yeah, when she had time to do our cover art after she finished her work for Jagged and Clara," Rose sighed dramatically. Marinette brushed off their comments. Adrien tried to keep listening, but he stopped being able to focus on following the conversation.
