"From the kids in our collège class, just about everyone was a hero," Marinette continued, talking mostly to Nino and Alya while she scratched little circles on Adrien's back. The two sat down on the love seat near the couch, expecting Marinette not to turn the game on now that they'd had her talking.

"Mylène took over the mouse Miraculous and she was Polymouse after Multimouse had her identity revealed." Marinette directed a wink toward Adrien. "Then, Ivan became Minotaurox pretty soon after that when Chloé was akumatized into Penalteam."

"Nathaniel and Marc got their Miraculouses on the same day, Nathaniel was Caprikid and Marc was Rooster Bold. Zoé became the new bee holder, Vesperia, pretty soon after she got here from New York, then I gave Sabrina one so she became Miss Hound. I ended up giving Alix the rabbit Miraculous a few months ago. She hasn't had to become Bunnyx yet, though, so I only saw her once since we were 14 and her future self traveled to our time."

Marinette thought for a few minutes more. "It feels like there's someone missing, but I don't know who. That's everyone from our class, Zoé, Marc, and Luka. Well, Lila didn't get one, but that kind of goes without saying at this point."

Suddenly, Marinette and Alya heard a very familiar clanging sound coming from the apartment one floor up from theirs, cutting into their conversation and causing them to pause for a brief period. "Oh, she's home," Marinette said to Alya with a smile, "we should bring her some welcome home pastries later."

"Can she even have pastries," Alya asked as a half joke, "it seems like her Olympic exercise regiment would frown at excess carbs and sugar." Marinette shrugged.

"You might be right, but I think she's cool. Plus, she has a sword, so I'd really like to stay on her good side," Marinette responded, "plus, last time she was around, she mentioned she has a girlfriend. Maybe her girlfriend likes pastries."

"If you want to bring Kagami pastries, I'm not going to stop you. I'm also not going to stop her from using that sword on you because somebody decided to interrupt her training." Marinette stuck her tongue out at her best friend.

"It's a foil," Adrien corrected absentmindedly. He wasn't dense enough that he couldn't put together the fact that the Olymipian named Kagami was probably his own ex who he met at fencing lessons when he was younger who, last he heard, is currently in training for the Olympics. Both of the girls and Nino looked at him, once again silently asking for an explanation.

"Kagami, right? Tsurugi Kagami? I know her. I used to compete against her in fencing when I was younger. She probably still has a katana or two, but €20 says she's sparring using a fencing foil right now, not a sword." He dug through the crevices of his memory to try to provide advice about what Kagami liked when they were younger.

"She used to sometimes eat pistachio macarons when I brought them from the Dupain-Cheng bakery," he added, "but she's really fond of freshly squeezed orange juice. She used to not be particularly interested when I offered her sweets, but she'd always accept going to get juice after practice or when we finished competing in a tournament."

Marinette was surprised by the fact that he remembered that much about Kagami after it sounded like they just had a few brief interactions when they were young.

"Oh, yeah," Alya added, "didn't Kagami train in our collège?" She thought for a moment, certain that she had forgotten something important. She snapped her fingers when she remembered. "Also, you totally had a thing for her back in the day, didn't you Mari?"

"Shut up," Marinette responded to Alya's ribbing. "I just thought she was cool, it's not like I learned her schedule to follow her around or anything. I wasn't like a stalker or anything, I just had a small, short lived crush on her. That's it."

"You gave her a Miraculous because you had a crush on her," Alya reminded her with a teasing lilt in her voice. "Didn't you steal her from a date once in order to make her a hero?"

"No, that's not true at all," Marinette denied, a little too much, with a bright blush on her face. "I just really needed Ryuuko for that battle and didn't have time to get her date to leave us alone long enough that I could give her the Miraculous. I didn't do it because I was jealous."

"You stole my date," Adrien announced. "You stole my date so she could become a hero. She and I were on the Seine having ice cream and you stole her from me. You had a emcrush/em on my girlfriend." He laughed at the ridiculousness of the situation. Nino laughed too, but Alya and Marinette looked at him blankly.

"Well, you stole my ex-girlfriend," Adrien corrected after a moment. "And honestly, I couldn't have even been mad if she had broken up with me for Ladybug. She and I briefly dated in collège. We mostly dated to keep up pRoPeR ApPeArAnCeS fOr ThE aGrEsTe AnD tSuRuGi BrAnDs. I just always wondered what happened to her that day because she managed to disappear in the blink of an eye." Marinette and Alya joined in laughing at the situation once he explained.

"Small world," Marinette said with a blush, trying to ignore the fact that she had apparently stolen Chat Noir's girlfriend from right under his nose so she could join the two of them in battling an akuma. "She's the holder I was missing, Kagami was Ryuuko. Alya and I will have to be sure to bring her some juice when we stop by next time."

"Speaking of this wonderfully small world we're living in," Alya said, wiggling herself into the conversation, "how did this happen?" She gestured to Marinette and Adrien who shot her confused looks. "What happened with the reveal?"
