Peter and Kayla are standing in the main field, with Edmund nd Ivar on the hill with the other half of the army. A surveillance gryphon brings news to Peter.
"They come, your highness. In weapons and numbers greater than our own."
"Numbers do not win battles."
"No, but they sure help."
"Peter. Remember the story of Gideon?"
"Yes."
"The Medes outnumbered his army, and they still won. David took a giant, with nothing but a sling and satchel full of rocks. Samson made his last stand against the Philistines with nothing but himself."
"You have the power of fire, Kayla. Can't you just turn the enemy into ashes when they arrive?"
"And what good would that do? No one would learn anything from it! You are going to be a king, and what better time to start acting like one then now?! Humble yourself and fight!"
Peter took in Kayla's words and realized that she was right. Up on the hill, Ivar was in a deep conversation with Edmund.
"Edmund. I don't know if you've realized this, but I've come to think of the lot of you as my family. I told Peter this same thing the other day. So, just like how I see Peter, I see you as my brother as well."
"I used to see you both s the brothers I never wanted."
"Well, at least you saw me as your brother."
"I still do. And I see Kayla as another sister."
The witch's army came up on the other side of the field, with Jadis at the head of it.
"I take no interest in prisoners! Kill them all!"
Her army charges, and the Narnian gryphons attack. Peter gets ready to face his fear nd be the king Narnia needs him to be.
"Are you with me, Oreius?"
"To the death!"
"FOR NARNIA! AND FOR ASLAN!"
Peter leads the charge and Kayla unsheathes her sword, with anyone in her path fearing the flames of the blade.
"Blessed be the LORD my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me. Guide my hands, Good Lord. Let me avenge my siblings' and mother's murder! Erdudvyl, you know what to do if we get separated."
"Yes, my lady."
Her blade slices right through the neck of a hag, turning her to ashes at the same time.
"That was for Aibhistín!"
She stabs a minotaur through the chest, and its ashes blow through the air.
"That was for Faoiltiama!"
She throws a ball of flames at a cyclops.
"That was for Abhartach!"
She cuts a goblin in half and its ashes disappear completely.
"That was for Iarlaith!"
Her next victim was a werewolf. he pounces on her and Erdudvyl, but Kayla stabs him as he is right above her, and its ashes fall all around her.
"That was for Alainnabh!"
She sticks her sword into the stomach of an evil dwarf and tosses him like a pillow. He turns to ashes as soon as he hits the ground.
"That was for Eadbhárd!"
An evil giant is about to swing Kayla and Erdudvyl out of existence with his club, but Kayla shoots a streamline of flames with her hand, and the giant falls dead onto a hand-full of others in the witch's army.
"And that was for my mother!"
Ivar jumps off of his horse to kill the minotaur that is behind Kayla and Erdudvyl. He takes his axe and knocks on of the horns off it.
"You think you can kill me, boy?!"
"There are boys younger than me throughout history who have lead armies and won!"
"Well, go ahead and try!"
"My pleasure!"
Ivar uses his axe to block an axe blow of the minotaur, but the minotaur gains the upper thinks of a strategy to get the upper hand over the minotaur. He climbs the minotaur so he can sit on his shoulders. He beheads minotaur with his axe.
Peter slices through one monster after another, like he has been doing it his whole life, and so is Edmund. Edmund slits the throat of a goblin trying to thrash him, and the goblin dies before it gets the chance. Peter comes face to face with four werewolves, and he and Edmund both gang up on them.
"How much longer can we keep this going, Peter?!"
"I don't know! We have to wait for Aslan!"
"But will Aslan be here?!"
Back at the witch's castle, Aslan gathered everyone together to tell them of the ongoing battle at Beruna. He was standing at the top of courtyard staircase with Susan and Lucy next to him on both sides.
"Friends. Friends! Our days work is not yet over! If the witch is to be defeated, we must leave for the battle!"
"But who will we get out?! The gates are locked!"
Aslan looks to the giant he restored to life, thinking he may help in the little dilemma.
"Hey you, up there! What's your name?!"
"I am Giant Rumblebuffin, if it please your honour!"
"Well the, Giant Rumblebuffin! Let us out!"
"Certainly, your honour! It will be a pleasure!"
Giant Rumblebuffin kicks the doors of the gate until they open, letting everyone out of the castle. They run to fields and hills of Beruna to join the others.
So far in the battle, the witch barely uses her sword. She only has used her wand to turn Narnians into stone, killing them nonetheless. Peter has lost track of how many creatures he has killed, and he does not care to remember how many.
"Ed! Ivar! There are too many of them! Get out of here! Get the girls, and get them home!"
"We can't listen to him, Ivar! We have to keep fighting!"
Ivar gets back on his horse, Dagvid, and rides into battle to face a giant. A giant of the same race that destroyed his parents. He reaches for the pant leg of the giant and continues to climb, making cuts into the giant's flesh with his axe along the way. he decides to site the passage of David versus Goliath.
"Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands. And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. You know who I am, giant? I am Íomhar, last of the humans of the Wild Lands of the North! Your kind devoured my parents like they were cuts of beef! Now I am going to return the favour!"
While the giant had his mouth open, Ivar climbed into it and proceeded to cut out the giant's tongue. But before he could do that, he needed to get rid of the giant's teeth. He cut out as many teeth as he could, then went for the tongue. The pain distracted the giant so much that he stumbled and fell to the ground on a sharp rock hill. Ivar was still trapped in his mouth when he fell. Kayla watched the giant fall, knowing that was the last place she seen Ivar at all.
"Ivar!"
He pushed his way out of the giant's mouth, and came out covered in saliva.
"Ivar, I would hug you, but you're covered in spit! And that is still only one kill!"
"I've had two kills already, thank you very much!"
"Well then, get some more!"
The split up again, and this time, Ivar headed in the direction of the witch. Jadis saw him coming, and proceeded to turn him into stone. Seeing this sent Kayla's rage to the boiling point, causing her to turn into a lioness. She ran in the opposite direction to put herself between Ivar and the witch, and as soon as she pounced on her, Jadis turned Kayla into stone, and her statue hit the rocks and broke in pieces. Jadis then moved on before Ivar could attack her. He grabbed as many pieces of Kayla as he could carry and sank down and cried.
The witch turned a few other Narnians to stone, before closing in on Peter. Edmund saw her coming behind Peter with her wand glowing. He knew what she was about to do to his brother, and ran down the hill to stop her. Edmund cuts her wand in half to where she cannot use it again, and Jadis stabs him with the remnants of it, wounding him badly. Peter sees this and moves to fight the witch. On the hill, Aslan, the girls, and the others arrive in time for reinforcements. Jadis sees Aslan, thinking for sure that she killed him.
"Impossible!"
Aslan runs down the hill to kill Jadis, a deed that has needed done for centuries. He pounces on her and mauls her to death.
"It is finished."
Susan and Lucy ran towards Peter, with Peter being surprised that they are still alive.
"You two had me so worried!"
"Where is Edmund?"
Peter led them to where Edmund was laying. Aslan followed.
"Lucy. Help him."
"Well, what can I do?!"
"Don't you remember what Father Christmas gave you?"
Lucy pulled our her cordial and poured a drop of it into Edmund's mouth. His wound healed and his skin went from pale to peach in a split second.
"When are you ever going to learn to do what you're told?"
"I saved your life, didn't I?"
The Pevensies hugged each other in one big hug, until Lucy realized that two people were missing.
"Where is Kayla and Ivar?"
