Chapter 451 Foul Flowers 2

Simon arrived in the Ice Kingdom to see a good percent of the surrounding forest had been torn down and several craters in both the ground and in a few of the surrounding mountains. The wizard saw Patience waving to him and flew over to her. Patience was with Alria, Shane, Trucy, Jeff, Peridot, Lapis, Mimi, and Tobe. Simon noticed that both Tobe and Mimi were unconscious and seemed to have bruises and burns on their bodies.
"What happened?" Asked Simon.
Patience took a deep breath and began to explain what happened.
A hour ago.
Tobe had arrived in the Ice Kingdom, along with Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry to teach a meditation class to help Mimi deal with some inner demons as well as the Devil Essence inside her. They had all gathered together in a nice big room inside the palace, with Mimi, Jeff, and a few of the other residents. They all sat on the ground and took up meditation poses and closed their eyes. Unbeknownst to any of them a Black Hat drone flew up to the window and dropped five Flowers of Foulness into the room. The flowers slithered across the floor towards Mimi, Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry. A flower attached themselves to the chest of Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry. The eyes of the four heroes began to glow green and fierce looks appeared on their faces as they stood up to face each other.
"You know I've been wondering something cuz." Said Marceline.
"What's that?" Asked Lucinda.
"Who's the better power couple, me and Lance or you and Henry? Infernal Thunder or Holly Water?" Asked Marceline.
"I guess the only way to settle this is with a good old fashioned fight." Said Lucinda.
"I'm down with that." Said Marceline.
"Let's take this outside." Said Lance.
"I agree." Said Henry.
With that said the four of them outside and past the drone that was now hovering a few dozen yards away. It was then that the fifth flower attached itself to Mimi's chest and her eyes began to glow green. Jeff immediately took notice of this and carefully approached the girl.
"Mimi, I don't know what's going on, but I need you to remain calm and not listen to any negative voices or impulses." Said Jeff.
Mimi replied to this by grabbing and picking Jeff up. She then hurled the big spider and he crashed into Lapis and Peridot knocking them to the ground. Shane quickly sprung into action and grabbed Mimi from behind and restrained her. Mimi screamed and struggled against Shane as Tobe pulled out a paper talisman and placed it on Mimi's forehead. It was the same kind of talisman Tobe had used on Marceline, when he first encountered her and since Mimi was part demon it worked on her as well. Mimi's body froze and she stopped struggling. Tobe and Patience examined Mimi's body and took notice of the flower on her chest. The flower detached itself from Mimi and sprang at the two. Patience quickly zapped the flower and it froze in ice in midair before it fell to the ground and shattered to bits. Mimi's eyes returned to their normal color and she looked very confused as Shane released her and Tobe removed the talisman from her forehead.
The group looked down at the destroyed flower and quickly came to the conclusion that Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry were acting strange because they had flowers on them as well.
"So we just got to destroy the flowers and everything will be alright." Said Patience.
"Easier said then done. I have a talisman that'll work on Marceline and I have been working on a talisman that should work on creatures like Lucinda, though I haven't properly tested it yet. It'll be tricky getting close to Marceline and Lucinda to put the talismans, but I can manage. Lance and Henry will be a bit of a problem since there are no talismans that'll work on them." Said Tobe.
"Can you use a talisman to remove the flowers from them?" Asked Jeff.
"I'm not sure. The talisman didn't affect the flower on Mimi." Said Tobe.
"I'll help." Said Mimi.
"You'll distract Lance and Henry, while I handle Marceline and Lucinda?" Asked Tobe.
"Will help as well." Said Lapis as she and Peridot stepped forward.
Tobe nodded his head in thanks. Mimi grabbed Tobe and flew out the window. Lapis grabbed Peridot and they flew out the window after Tobe and Mimi.
A couple hundred yards away from the palace, Marceline and Lance stood facing Lucinda and Henry. For several seconds nobody said or did anything, then Lance made the first move by firing a blast lightning at Lucinda and Henry. The two warriors jumped out of the way and Henry blasted water at Marceline and Lance forcing them to leap high into the air to avoid getting hit. Lucinda leaped into the air and collided with Marceline, punching her in the face, before the two of them slammed into the ground hard. Marceline was pinned to the ground as Lucinda pounded her face and chest with her fist. The vampire snarled as she headbutted Lucinda and shoved her off. Marceline then deliver a powerful kick to Lucinda's stomach and sent her smashing through a rock and some trees knocking them down.
"Timber!" Laughed Marceline before she charged forward.
Lucinda quickly recovered and picked up one of the fallen trees. She faced the charging Marceline and swung it like a baseball bat. The tree struck Marceline and sent her flying into the sky.
"It's a home run!" Cheered Lucinda.
Lucinda, dropped the tree, sprouted her wings, and took off into the sky after Marceline. She passed Marceline and punched her in the back sending her flying back towards the ground. Marceline righted herself before she made contact with the ground and flew back towards Lucinda and delivered a powerful uppercut that sent her flipping through the air. Lucinda recovered and raced back towards Marceline and slammed into her. The two of them delivered a few punches to each other's faces, before they ended up grappling with each other and crashed to the ground. Marceline slammed her knee into Lucinda's gut knocking her away, before she grabbed a large rock.
"I'm going to rock your world!" Yelled Marceline as she slammed the rock into Lucinda's head.
The rock exploded and Lucinda yelled and reeled back in pain with multiple cuts and bruises on her head and face.
"You just got stoned!" Laughed Marceline.
The wounds on both fighters began to heal as Lucinda let out a roar and punched Marceline in the gut sending her skipping across the ground a couple of times, before she righted herself and charged back at Lucinda. The two fighters met and began to grapple with each other.
Elsewhere Lance was flying around throwing lightning blast at Henry, who used his water blasts to help him dodge the attacks. Henry dodged one lightning blast and hurled a water blast up at Lance knocking him out of the air and to the ground. The water warrior charged at Lance, who quickly recovered and flung a lightning blast at Henry and sent him flying and crashing into a tree. Lance and Henry scrambled to their feet and began throwing their attacks at each and dodging.
Mimi, Lapis, and Peridot arrived on the scene of Lance and Henry's fight. Lapis turned her water wings into water arms and swatted the two mutants away from each other. Mimi and Peridot went after Lance and Lapis went after Henry.
Lapis grabbed Henry with her water arms to restrain him, but Henry used his own water powers to push the hands back and fired a water blast at Lapis. The blue gem used her water powers to stop the water blast and she pushed it back, but Henry stopped it and pushed back. The water hovered in midair as both water fighters pushed with all their might. Henry let out a animalistic yell and the water pushed forward and slammed into Lapis smashing her into a tree.
Mimi flew at Lance intending to use her ice breath to freeze his limbs to restrain him and then destroy the flower on his chest. Lance saw her coming and fired a lightning blast at her forcing Mimi to dodge and back away to try and find another opening. Peridot pulled out the collapsible disk she used to fly herself around and send it flying to distract Lance. The disk flew around Lance getting his attention. Mimi tried to get at Lance again, but he took off into the air. Lance glared down at Peridot. The green gem smiled nervously at Lance as he prepared a large lightning burst. Lance fired the attack at Peridot and Mimi quickly flew in and intercepted the attack and took the full force of it! Mimi cried out in pain before she crashed to the ground unconscious.
"Mimi!" Cried Peridot in alarm as she raced over to Mimi.
Lance decided he was going to leave the scene and aid Marceline in her fight with Lucinda and took off. Henry chased after him. Lapis got up and looked at Peridot and Mimi and at the retreating mutants. Peridot looked at Mimi and nodded towards Lance and Henry. Lapis nodded and took off after the mutants.
Marceline and Lucinda were now throwing punches and kicks at each other. Their fists met at one point and the force of the collision sent the two fighters flying back. It was then Tobe arrived on the scene and sprang into action. Tobe leaped at Marceline and slapped a talisman on her head. Marceline gave a startled angry cry as she was no longer able to move her body. Tobe then rushed at Lucinda, who punched him, but instead of sending a body flying Tobe explode into a swirl of snowflakes. It was a fake! Tobe exploded out of the snow next to Lucinda and slapped a talisman to her forehead.
Lucinda cried out in pain and surprise as mystical lightning arched through her body. It seemed like the talisman was working. Tobe was about to snatch the flower off of Lucinda's chest, when Lucinda backhanded the ninja and knocked him away and onto the ground. The ninja watched in shock as Lucinda reached up and yanked the talisman from her forehead and crumpled it into a ball before dropping it onto the ground. The talisman had been affective, but it hadn't been strong enough to subdue or restrain Lucinda. Before Tobe could make another move, Henry arrived on the scene and blasted the ninja with a water blast that slammed into the ninja and smashed him hard into a rock that knocked him out.
Lance arrived on the scene and yanked the talisman from Marceline's forehead allowing her to move. Marceline and Lance faced Lucinda and Henry.
"It's time you see why they call us Holly Water." Said Lucinda with a smirk as she stood in front of Henry.
Henry fired some water blast from his hands and Lucinda's hands began to glow with light as she touched the water turning it into water. Marceline's eyes went wide as she quickly took flight to avoid getting hit. One hit by that attack would greatly injure Marceline or kill. Lucinda laughed as Henry directed the water to chase after Marceline. Lance came to Marceline's aid and stuck his hands into the water and sent a huge surge of electricity through it to shock Lucinda and Henry knocking them to the ground and stopping the attack. The mutant then used his lightning to evaporate the holly water on the ground so it no longer threatened Marceline.
Marceline landed on the ground next to Lance as Lucinda staggered to their feet. Lucinda began to transform into her werewolf form and Marceline transformed into her giant bat form. Both werewolf and vampire let out bloodcurdling roars as they and their mutant boyfriends charged forward and they continued fighting.
Lapis arrived on the scene and quickly dragged Tobe away to safety.
The present.
Lapis and Peridot filled Simon in on everything that happened. Simon thanked them and flew off to put a end to the fight and rescue his loved ones. He followed the sound of fighting and found Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry fighting. Simon took a deep breath as he pointed his hands at the ground the fighters were standing on. The snow beneath Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry exploded upwards like a giant geyser taking the fighters by surprise as it took them high into the air. The geyser then froze becoming hard and trapped the fighters' limbs. Simon flew over to the trapped fighters, zapped the flowers with ice magic, and destroyed them.
The eyes of Marceline, Lucinda, Henry, and Lance returned to normal and they looked around with both confusion and horror as they recalled what they did. Simon freed the four of their bonds and landed next to them. Marceline and Lucinda returned to their normal forms and they along with Lance and Henry began to apologize to each other. They then looked at Simon and cast their eyes down in shame.
"Hey what happened wasn't your fault. Tend to your injuries then tend to the others. I have to attend to another little matter." Said Simon before he turned to leave.
"Where are you going?" Asked Marceline.
"I'm going to deliver a message to the ones responsible for this mess." Said Simon as he flew off.
At the Black Hat Organization headquarters, Black Hat was in his office sitting behind his desk, when he looked out the window and saw snow and the window began to frost over. Black Hat smiled as the window shattered and Simon entered the office. Simon walked towards the desk and Black Hat stood up.
"Ah Simon Petrikov, the Ice King. I've been expecting your arrival. Did you love my little flowers?" Said Black Hat.
"I think you already know my answer." Said Simon with a cold glare.
"So are you here to fight or are you here to deliver some big grand threat to me and my organization?" Asked Black Hat.
"I'm here to warn you that if or anyone in your organization ever comes near my family, I will destroy you and your entire organization." Said Simon with a death glare as the temperature in the room dropped.
"Oooo! I have goosebumps! I can see it in your eyes, you're serious. Got to respect and fear a family man, especially one with your powers and reputation. You and I are going to have some real fun together." Said Black Hat with a grin.
There was a loud explosion on a lower level that shook the building. Simon smiled as a look of confusion appeared on Black Hat's face.
"I just did a number on your inventory and production. Consider it payback." Said Simon before exploding into a cloud of snowflakes.
Black Hat realized that Simon had sent a snow double in his place, while the real Simon had gone down to the lab to wreck it. The villain quickly headed down to the lab to find it in shambles and Dr. Flug cowering in fear in a corner. Black Hat saw that the nursery used to create and grow the Flowers of Foulness was destroyed. The villain gritted his teeth in anger and then he let out a laugh.
"Well played Simon. Well played. You are truly the adversary I've been waiting for all my life for. I'm going to have to up my game a bit." Said Black Hat as he left the lab.
