Chapter 22. Kumo chunin exams part - 2

Examination room ( Kumo Shinobi academy) :-

Darui looked at the retreating form of the Senju heir and felt a little suspicious of his skill level even after he showed that he was mid to high chunin level in Taijutsu. Well he supposed that it may be that the boy depended on massive chakra reserves to overwhelm his opponents with Ninjustu and his Taijutsu was also above average inorder to deal with an enemy if he gets close. And Bukijustu just may not be his thing and when you have such massive chakra reserves, fine chakra control doesn't matter much, but he couldn't shake the feeling that the boy was downplaying his skills, but he couldn't find a reason for him to downplay his skills as the chunin exams is all about showing off your individual skills and the power of your village. So, thinking that he showed aside his doubts about the level of skill shown by the boy and heard the other Kumo chunin gossiping about how the boy was no prodigy and how the Kumo genin will slaughter him in the second room. He then sent off the chunin to inform the Kumo genin participating in the exams about the Senju heir's skill level, so that they could be prepared to deal with him in the next round.

He then proceeded to test the last genin remaining, which turned out to be Sasuke Uchiha and the boy got full marks on Ninjutsu, Bukijutsu and Taijutsu. He defeated the chunin far earlier than the Senju heir, as his Taijutsu prowess was enhanced by his sharingan. But for all his apparent progress, Darui didn't like the boy one bit, as he got the feeling that the boy was a power hungry sociopath at best and a psychopath at worst.

And as all the participants were tested, Mabui addressed Darui, saying " Thirty teams passed the First round. Why don't you go to the Raikage and report the results, while I tellt he genin teams which passed, about the second round and where to assemble for it ".

" Let's get the second round started. Then I can tell the Raikage about the results of the first round ", Darui said, as he saw no point in wasting time.

And as Mabui agreed with him, they both proceeded to the room where all the successful genin teams were present.

As Naruto entered the classroom that the Kumo chunin showed him to, he calmly walked through the largest number of genin shooting hostile glares at him and releasing their killing intent at him, but he brushed off their killing intent like it was nothing, and instead simply raised an eyebrow in mockery as he took a seat at the back of the room, waiting for the first round to end. And in the meanwhile he looked at an Iwa genin who seemed unable to control himself at the sight of Naruto and was straining at his self control to get at Naruto. And seeing him, Naruto wondered how long it would take hom to walk up to Naruto and start threatening him or begin posturing, and Naruto wouldn't give it more than another minute.

And just as Naruto assumed, in less than a minute a big and burly Iwa genin stalked up to where Naruto was seated and snarled at him in anger as he almost shouted out "you damn tree huggers really think that you are all so speciat, don't you? Sending a single genin to participate in the chunin exams in a hostile country, I wonder how arrogant you can get. But you wait Konoha dog, I will kill you and crush your body to paste in the next round."

But Naruto calmly ignored his boasting as he yawned loudly and indicated to the Iwa genin saying " did you say something? "

And that made the already angry Iwa genin roar in anger at being disregarded like that and so he shouted at Naruto with a malicious look in his eyes, saying " I heard that your mother lost her brother and her fiance at the hands of Iwa ninja, I wonder how she would feel if she also lost her son at the hands of Iwa shinobi. I wonder if she will commit suicide as she was the one who sent you to your death".

Suddenly everyone in the room felt a sudden lowering of temperature and felt a chill down their spine, and Sasuke who had just entered the room and heard the Iwa genin's words about the Hokage, wondered how Naruto would react and then he saw the glimmer of anger in Naruto's eyes before a small smirk appeared on his face which Sasuke knew meant that Naruto's reply would be hilarious.

When Naruto heard the Iwa genin mocking his mother, he had wanted to immediately kill the bastard, but he controlled himself knowing that this was not the time, so he contented himself with absolutely humiliating the bastard and his village.

So with a smirk on his face, Naruto said mockingly " I wonder what it says about Iwa if they are bragging about killing my mother's brother who was a genin at the time, or her fiance who took with him nearly five hundred Iwa shinobi, before they managed to kill him. I wonder what you even have to beg about, you idiotic rockheads. "

And as the Iwa genin turned red on anger and embarrassment, Naruto ignored his roar of anger at Naruto's mocking and continued saying " And Iwa has no reason to lecture us about arrogance. We have earned our arrogance, unlike you idiots who lost all three of the Shinobi wars and were so afraid of the Yondaime Hokage that your Tsuchikage placed him in the Bingo book with a warning to flee on sight. I wonder what that says about the quality of Iwa shinobi if one shinobi kills more than a thousand Iwa shinobi in just a few minutes with not even a scratch on him. And I am not even mentioning how the Sandaime Raikage killed nearly ten thousand of your Iwa shinobi. You Iwa shinobi really are all bragging and no action aren't you? "

" You are all like dogs, all bark no bite ", Naruto heckled the Iwa genin.

" In fact you do remind me of an Iwa shinobi I know. You are not related to Ittan, are you? " Naruto asked .

" Yes, you bastard. Ittan was my brother and you Konoha shinobi killed him. I am going to murder any Konoha shinobi I find " he shouted out in anger and anguish at the thought of his dead brother who had raised him after their parent's death at the hands of the Yellow Flash, instilling a great deal of hatred in his mind for Konoha shinobi as they had first taken away his parents and now they had taken away his brother from him.

" Oh! I am so sorry for your loss. Infact it was me and Anko Mitarashi who caught your brother. I heard that the TI department of Konoha had great fun in breaking him and then the Hokage personally executed him. In fact I was the one who killed his genin team and the other jounin and his genin teams also died at my hands. In fact I didn't find them at all difficult to dispose off", Naruto said in a mocking voice.

Naruto could feel all the Iwa shinobi becoming enraged at him as he could feel their spiking emotions at his insults to Iwa and his admission to being a part of the team which captured Ittan, who was a very respected shinobi of Iwa. And Naruto openly admitting that Ittan was tortured and killed, further inflamed their anger, but they held themselves back from attacking him, as they knew that they would be disqualified if they did anything of such sort.

But the Iwa genin who had started the confrontation, roared in anger and leapt at Naruto who was still looking at him dismissively, but was caught by his teammates who caught him in the air, and pulled him back to his seat as they whispered to him to hold himself back till the second round starts, as then they could kill him without any repercussions.

And while this was going on, Kurotsuchi, who had always been a hothead, could no longer tolerate the Senju heir's insults towards her village and her grandfather and him openly boasting to having killed Iwa nin, especially someone as respected as Ittan, and she knew that Ittan's genin team had Juro Suzumori, the Suzumori clan head's son as a member, whom the Senju just brazenly admitted to killing.

She got up from her seat and concentrated her entire killing intent on the damn Senju and said in a venomous voice as she frothed at the mouth in anger " you damn treehugger, how dare you insult Iwa and the Tsuchikage. Just you wait till the next round, we not give you a swift death. You bragged about Ittan san being tortured, didn't you. We will do the same thing to you, till you beg for death, and then will send your defiled corpse to your mother ".

Naruto simply looked at her with a bored gaze and said in a dull voice " sweetheart, did you say something? ", making her froth with rage at Naruto's seeming indifference towards her , but the boy next to her with the hard cold eyes kept a hold on her, as he looked at Naruto with barely concealed hatred. Naruto knew that he would have to be careful with this boy, whom he presumed was Demotsuchi, the Tsuchikage's apprentice, as the boy was most probably powerful, but also seemed to have good control of his emotions, which was something which made an enemy dangerous, as it was difficult to provoke such an enemy to make a mistake that he could take advantage of.

And while this whole confrontation was going on, Naruto had sensed a few of the chunin who had watched his first round performance, coming to the room they were seated in and taking out a few Kumo genin with them and as they reentered the room, Naruto could sense their feeling of glee as they looked at him, and Naruto could easily guess that the Kumo chunin must have told their genin about his average performance, and Naruto mentally smirked at these fools who had so easily fallen for his trap, making his job of killing them in the second task more easy as the fools would now come after him, thinking him easy prey , and he could just pick them off one by one instead of having to search for them.

He could also see them spreading the information they had received to the Iwa genin who calmed down and were looking at him with malicious joy, making Naruto mentally fist pump in joy at the success of his plan. But he made a note to make sure that the Suna genin knew about his orders to help them pass the second round, as it would be beneficial for him too if Naruto helped them acquire their objective as soon as possible and pass the second round, so that Naruto could then focus on his real mission.

As Naruto was contemplating his next course of action, Darui and the lady Jounin arrived and Darui said " Genin, all of the teams present here in this room have passed the first stage of the chunin exams, and have successfully advanced to the second round. Now follow me as I take you to the location of the second task ".

And as all the genin departed from the room, following Darui and the other lady, Naruto stealthily approached the two Suna teams standing nearby and said " I have orders from Hokage sama to help both of your teams pass the second stage, so as soon as the second stage starts, both of your teams stay away from any other teams and wait for me , I will help you acquire your objective and then you will have to swiftly depart so that I can concentrate on my own task. Is that clear? "

But unexpectedly, one of the Suna genin puffed up in anger and angrily whispered at Naruto " do you and your Hokage think that Suna is weak. We don't need your help to pass the next round. We won't forsake our pride for some help from you ".

Naruto was truly enraged at such foolishness and focussed his entire killing intent on the foolish suna genin and whispered in an ice cold voice " you bloody fool. You think that this is about your idiotic pride. This exam is and opportunity for Konoha and Suna to showcase to the world that we are not weak, and there is no better way to do that than for all the teams from Konoha and Suna which are participating, to advance to the finals. So you will shut the fuck up, put aside your pride and accept help when it is offered. Is that clear? "

The suna genin who had spoken up blushed in embarrassment at the chastisement and fear from experiencing Naruto's monstrous killing intent which had almost made him faint, nodded his head rapidly and the other Suna genin also agreed easily as they had no problem with accepting help from an ally.

Naruto then asked them " is there a sensor among you? "

And there turned out to be two sensors among them and Naruto asked them "memorize my chakra signature and along with your teams, avoid any fights and wait for me ".

One of the Suna genin, a kunoichi with nearly mid jounin level chakra reserves and clearly the strongest among the suna shinobi, bowed slightly in front of Naruto and said " Senju san, my name is Matsuri and I would like to thank you on behalf of my fellow Suna genin, for your help. And don't worry, we will follow your instructions, as Gaara sama always speaks very fondly of you. And I will keep all my fellow Suna genin in check ", and shot a withering glare at the idiot genin who had opened his mouth earlier, making him shrink back.

" Oho! so you know Gaara. Good for you. And please call me Naruto, no need for all that formality. Any friend of Gaara is a friend of mine. And please follow my instrutions, and I will meet you within fifteen minutes of the start of the test, as I am a sensor and I have memorized all your chakra signatures ", Naruto said in a more jovial voice as he had gotten his point across and there was no more use in being grumpy.

But Naruto had seen the blush on Matsuri's face when Gaara's name was mentioned and Naruto let out a massive smirk as he mentally exclaimed ' Gaara, you sly dog. Good for you, she is really beautiful, and seems pretty strong for a genin'.

And with that thought, Naruto and the Suna genin rejoined the rest of the genin and proceeded towards the location of the second round.

It took them nearly half an hour to reach the location of the second task, and it was a vast valley between two of the mountains of Kumogakure, and it was filled with a vast amount of trees and it reminded Naruto of the Forest of Death in a way, with the dense forest and Naruto if he concentrated properly could sense traces of Senjutsu chakra from the forest and so he knew that they would also have to face animals mutated by constant exposure to Senjutsu Chakra over many generations.

After reaching the location, Darui addressed all the genin, saying " This place is known as the Valley of Death, and will be the location of your second round exam."

" But what are we supposed to do? " one of the Iwa genin asked in confusion and slight dread as he looked at the vast and dense forest, it's foreboding appearance and it's name didn't do it any favors either.

" Each team will be handed a scroll, marked with a cloud symbol or a lightning bolt symbol. there are a total of thirty teams here and so there will be fifteen each of the two types of scrolls in play. There is a tower and an arena at the end of the valley. Inside of three days time, a team has to reach that tower with a copy of both the scrolls. And please remember that the scrolls should you submit at the tower should not be damaged in any way. And all the members of a genin team must accomplish this together. If even one of them is dead, then the whole team is disqualified. And yes, killing is allowed in this part of the exam ", Darui said, as he explained details of the test and how to pass the test.

" So, we can kill our opponents? " the big burly Iwa genin who had threatened Naruto earlier asked eagerly while directing a malicious look in Naruto's direction.

" Yes, you can ", answered the lady jounin.

And then the lady jounin passed around papers to every genin and asked them to sign saying " these papers absolve us of any responsibility for anything that might happen to you during this task in the Valley of death. You will have to first sign them in order to receive a scroll and participate in the second round ".

So, with nods of assent, all the genin quickly signed their documents and handed them over to the lady jounin who collected them and then a few Kumo chunin walked around handing over a random scroll to each genin team and Naruto received a scroll marked with an image of a lightning bolt. And then he looked over to his side and saw the Suna teams indicating that they had two scrolls with one of them marked with a cloud and another was marked with a lightning bolt. Which meant that Naruto needed one scroll marked with a lightning bolt and two scrolls marked with clouds to completely his objective.

So with that objective clear in his mind, he decided to first target the genin from the minor shinobi villages like Ame and Kusa, as it would take him very less time to defeat them and obtain the scrolls needed. And so Naruto memorized the chakra signature of one genin each from all the teams from Kusa and Ame. And then every genin team was led to a different entrance to the heavily forested valley which completely fenced around. And after fifteen minutes, with a small blast of lightning from Darui, the second round of the chunin exams was started.

And Naruto immediately suppressed his chakra signature and disappeared in burst of speed in the direction in which he could sense one of the genin from Ame whose chakra signature he had memorized.

And before the Ame team even knew what had happened, Naruto appeared behind them and knocked out all three of them. He could have killed them all, but he had no enmity with them, and Naruto never killed needlessly. And then Naruto rummaged through their belongings and recovered the scroll given to them and it was a scroll marked with a lightning bolt symbol.

' Now I need another two scrolls marked with lightning bolts ', Naruto thought as he sealed away the scroll he had taken from the knocked out Ame genin.

And then Naruto reached out with his chakra sensing, to locate the other two Ame genins whose chakra signature he had memorized and as soon as he located it Naruto disappeared in swirl of wind as he used a wind shunshin and as soon as he arrived near the startled Ame genin, he ducked to avoid a sword swung at his head, as it seems that one of the genin was a sensor and had sensed his shunshin and then Naruto kicked him in the face with a brutal back kick, knocking out the sensor shinobi immediately before the other two genin could even react, and then just as the other two Ame genin were about to attack him, Naruto disappeared in a burst of speed and buried his fists in the stomachs of both the genin, and both of them blacked out immediately. And then Naruto found a scroll with a lightning bolt symbol marked on it. Naruto had no need for it, but it may come in handy, so Naruto sealed it away and departed in search of the one remaining Ame genin team.

But before Naruto could reach the other Ame team, he sensed the Kumo team with the Jinchuriki headed towards them, so he decided to leave them alone and instead he unsealed Benihime and headed towards one of the Kusa teams that he had sensed, and immediately set upon them and before they could even react to his presence, Naruto had decapitated two of the genin with one single stroked and as the last remains genin was about to attack him, Naruto disappeared in a burst of speed and the Kusa genin found himself gurgling blood as he found himself with a sword impaled through his chest, killing him instantly.

And to his happiness, Naruto found a scroll marked with a cloud image and immediately sealed it away, and decided to hurry and find the Suna genin, as he now had the scrolls needed for them to pass, and while he still needed a scroll to pass, he still had a lot of time to collect it. So Naruto extended his senses to the farthest and found the chakra signature of Matsuri nearly two miles to the North East of his current location.

And Naruto immediately raced off to the location he had identified, all the while avoiding all the Kumo and Iwa teams looking for him. And as soon as he reached their location, Matsuri identified Naruto's location and proceeded to greet him and asked "Naruto san, by your presence here, can I assume that you succeeded in your task? "

" Hello to you too Matsuri san. And to answer your question, yes I succeeded. Here are the scrolls you require ", Naruto said as he handed over two scrolls to her, one of which was marked with a lightning bolt and another was marked with clouds.

Matsuri gratefully accepted the scrolls and together with her fellow Suna genin, she bowed to him and said gratefully " thank you for your help, Senju san. I will surely inform Gaara about the help his friend did for us ".

" Oh! it is not a bother at all. You just proceed to the tower now itself, and all of you stay close to each other and you will most likely reach the tower in a few hours and remember not to engage with a Kumo team with a blonde girl with massive chakra reserves on it, as she is Jinchuriki, and since you know Gaara, you know how powerful and dangerous a Jinchuriki can be. So, I suggest that you don't rest even for a minute till you reach the tower and stay vigilant. I will send a few of my clones to keep watch over you till you reach the tower ", Naruto said.

Naruto watched them all shudder at the thought of facing a Jinchuriki, as they all knew how dangerous a Jinchuriki could be. So they all thanked Naruto for his help and for warning them about the Jinchuriki and then they set off towards the tower with a few shadow clones of Naruto keeping watch over them.

After watching for a few seconds as the Suna teams disappeared from view, as they rushed towards the tower, Naruto sensed a team of genin coming towards his location, and judging by the lightning affinity common among all three of them along with an added secondary water affinity of one of them, Naruto could guess that it was a Kumo genin team. Instead of hiding, Naruto decided to face them head on, as he had no need for subtlety any longer as he was not going to let any of the approaching Kumo genin escape with their lives.

And as he waited for them while standing on a branch, it took a few moments for the Kumo genin to come into view and as soon as they spotted him, Naruto smirked and unsealing Benihime, he vanished in blur of speed and suddenly reappeared behind the genin and flicked Benihime to remove the blood from the blade and behind Naruto all the three genin collapsed onto the ground as blood burst from their cut throats. And Naruto simply looked on stoically and then checked through their belongings and to his luck, he found their scroll and it was marked with an image of clouds. Sealing away the scroll, Naruto smirked as now he could arrive at the tower whenever he wanted, as he had both the scrolls with him. And he was sure that the Suna teams would arrive at the tower safely as his shadow clones should be more than capable of leading them safely to the tower whole avoiding any fights.

And then Naruto sensed another genin team nearby and deciding to see who it was Naruto started going in that direction, when he had to suddenly duck in order to avoid the backhanded blow from a massive ape, and then Naruto danced back on the branch he was standing on, to avoid another ape which jumped on him from the branch above, and Naruto couldn't feel their chakra signature, so he assumed that they were also like the giant spiders in the forest of death, as he couldn't feel their presence also even though they were obviously enhanced by chakra, and Naruto assumed that it was a side effect of being enhanced due to constant exposure to Senjutsu chakra.

As Naruto jumped away from the branch and landed on a big boulder, he immediately backflipped twice in a row to avoid a brutal blow from another massive ape, and he was shocked to see that the blow had cracked the boulder. And Naruto sighed in relief at avoiding that blow or else it would have broken his ribs.

Deciding that Taijutsu was not the correct way to deal with these apes, Naruto immediately unsealed Benihime and he channeled wind chakra through her blade and then Naruto disappeared in a high speed shunshin and appeared behind the first ape who had attacked him and it's body was cut in half and then Naruto proceeded to make shortwork of the other two apes.

And Naruto sealed away Benihime and continued towards the genin team he had sensed earlier and found that it was an Iwa team. One of the four teams from Iwa other than that of the Tsuchikage's granddaughter.

And Naruto didn't sense any Iwa teams nearby to come to their rescue, so Naruto decided to deal with them and he molded his chakra as his hands formed the snake seal and a dense mist rolled into the area where where the Iwa genin were resting. And as one of the Iwa genin cried out in shock at the sudden presence of the mist which completely obscured their vision, he suddenly found himself choking on his own blood as his neck was split.

Another Iwa genin shouted out " Boku, what happened, why did you suddenly go silent ", but he never found out the answer to his question as he found his own throat slit as well, just like his late teammate.

The last remaining Iwa genin looked around in the mist, not able to see anything as he tried to use his ears to find any trace of his teammates who had suddenly gone silent. In his heart he knew that this dense mist was not natural and that both his teammates were dead and so he kept his mouth shut, hoping against hope that he would be let to live. But before he knew it his chest his impaled and he died even before realising that he had been attacked.

After taking care of the entire team of Iwa genin, Naruto dispelled the mist and rummaged through their belongings and found another scroll with the cloud symbol on it, making it that now he had two complete sets of scrolls. And with the two sets of scrolls present with the Suna genin, there were still nine sets in circulation.

And just then Naruto got a rush of memories, as apparently one of the four shadow clones he had sent to keep watch over the Suna genin had dispelled. As Naruto went over the memories, he found that they had encountered another Iwa team and Kusa team, and that his clones had helped the Suna genin deal with them. And one of his clones had dispelled to provide him with the information as the Suna team had almost reached the tower . And one of the shadow clones had looted the scrolls of the dead Iwa and Kusa teams and would bring it back to him after the Suna genin reached the tower. And from his memories, Naruto knew that his clones were in possession of another complete set of scrolls. And his clones had also spied Darui's genin team defeat the team from Taki and collect their scroll.

So, Naruto decided to deal with the remaining Kusa team and set about searching them using his emotion sensing skill, as he moved through the forest towards the tower and found the Kusa team, but it was being slaughtered by Sasuke, so Naruto left them alone, as there was still time before his fight with Sasuke. And now that all his most serious rivals had their set of scrolls, Naruto assumed that the Tsuchikage's granddaughter's team had also gotten a complete set of scrolls by now, Naruto decided to quickly eliminate the remaining teams and so he vanished in a burst of speed and suddenly appeared behind a team of Oto genin that he had sensed and Naruto was not in a mood to deal with cursed seal enhanced shinobi, so he channeled wind chakra into his right hand and slashed it infront of him as he softly intoned Fuuton : Kaze Yaiba , and an extremely deadly blade of wind was sent from his hand towards the Oto team and the person in the middle was cut in two and was spot dead as the other two genin jumped away, but before they could activate their cursed seals, Naruto disemboweled one of them with his wind chakra enhanced katana and while the only remaining genin had managed to activate his cursed seal, he was not able to react in time as Naruto used his full speed to appear in front of the grotesque figure of the cursed seal enhanced Oto genin and split him in two from head to toe. And then Naruto used incendiary tags to incinerate the remains of all the three Oto genin, as he didn't want Kumo to get their hands on the cursed seal.

He then went through their belongings and found another lightning bolt marked scroll and he sealed it away.

And then Naruto sensed two teams from Oto and another two teams fighting nearby, so he went to see what it was about and found the two teams of Oto genin had all activated their cursed seals and were fighting or frankly speaking, were slaughtering two teams from Haze country in a clearing.

Deciding to not waste his energy, Naruto calmly waited till all the Haze shinobi were killed and then the Oto genin deactivated their respective cursed seals, and Naruto could see that all of them were tired from the activation and use of their cursed seals. And he could also see that the Haze shinobi had managed to kill two of the Oto genin.

Deciding to finish off the fight against Oto genin, Naruto molded his chakra and his left hand formed the snake seal and a dense mist rolled into the clearing where the remaining Oto genin were present, and Naruto vanished in a high speed shunshin and decapitated the heads of two of the Oto genin with a single slash of Benihime and then proceeded to disembowel another two of them, and then dispelled the mist, as all the Oto genin were dead. And then Naruto set about incinerating the corpses of all the six Oto genin and then he went through the belongings of all the genin and found another two complete sets of scrolls, bringing up his tally to five complete sets of scrolls, including the set of scrolls in the possession of his clones.

And Naruto knew that there still two Kumo teams and one Iwa team that he was supposed to eliminate, and that would leave two teams from Frost country and one from Tanigakure, and Naruto would eliminate one of the teams from Frost country and let the remaining two teams fight among themselves for the remaining set of scrolls.

So, deciding to deal with the Kumo teams first, Naruto stretched his chakra sensing and found that the two teams from Kumo were in close proximity, so most probably they were hunting together, and the target was most probably himself as they were headed in his general direction, but Naruto was not someone who liked to play the part of prey so he decided to take them out one by one.

So he used the Kirigakure jutsu and overcharged it with chakra, blanketing the entire mile with dense mist blanketing the entire two Kumo teams in dense overwhelming mist.

And as they were all wondering what the hell was happening, Naruto suddenly came down from the canopy of tree and hooking his feet from a thick branch and he simply twisted the neck of one of the genin who came within his reach and before the other five genin could react to sound of the neck breaking, Naruto caught another one of them and muffling his mouth, Naruto slit his throat with a kunai. And then vanished from sight as one of the genin used an overpowered wind jutsu to blow away the mist.

"Who the hell was that and what the hell happened? ", the Kumo genin who used the wind jutsu asked as he looked at corpses of two of his fellow Kumo genin.

Seeing the corpses of two of her teammates, the last remaining genin of that team raced towards the bodies to see if atleast one of them was alive, only for to be blown to pieces, as the explosive seal placed on one of the corpses activated.

" It is that Senju whom we are hunting. He is the one who did it ", one of his teammates said.

" I sensed him when the mist rolled in. He killed two of our comrades within seconds, and then placed a trap and killed another one of our comrades ", she said.

" But the chunin during the first round warned us that he was average at best and that as a team we could easily take him out ", another Kumo genin team complained.

" Well he was obviously wrong, he obviously faked his performance to lure us into coming to him and it obviously worked, now shut your mouth and let me concentrate and find his chakra signature", the female genin said.

And before she could say anything else a spinning disc of wind came zooming in at a very high speed and decapitated her. And the remaining Kumo genin could hear soft whisper on the air saying Fuuton : Divine discus.

Spooked out at seeing their female teammate killed in front of their eyes, the two remaining genin stood back to back with each other and unsheathed their katanas and channeled lightning chakra through them and one of them shouted out " come out you coward. Come out and face us like a man, not attacking out of the shadows like a coward ".

A slow mocking laugh echoed all around the two terrified genin, and then a voice rang out saying " you seem to have mistaken me for a samurai. I don't play fair people, I am a shinobi".

And then suddenly they had to dodge ten kunai thrown at them and suddenly Naruto appeared in the place of one of the kunai they dodged and taking advantage of their surprise Naruto decapitated the one who used the wind jutsu earlier to clear his Kirigakure jutsu. And then as the remaining genin roared out in anger and raced towards Naruto and slashed at him with his lighting enhanced katana, Naruto met the blade head on with the wind chakra enhanced blade of Benihime and due to the elemental superiority of wind over lightning, Benihime cut through the katana enhanced katana and went on to carve through the Kumo genin's chest and killed him on the spot.

After disposing the last of the Kumo genin, Naruto searched through their belongings and retrieved another full set of scrolls. And he sealed them away.

' Now I just need to take care of the remaining Iwa team, and then I can reach the tower', Naruto thought, but before he could do that, the shadow clones he had created to help the Suna genin reach the tower, made their way back to him, and handed him the set of scrolls they had recovered and then all of them were dispelled. And Naruto got back memories about how they had to deal with a few massive apes and also a couple of massive bears, and also the precise location of the tower.

' Now it's time to deal with the Iwa team and then get the hell out of here ', Naruto thought and burst into speed in the direction of the tower, as that would be the direction that he would most likely find the Iwa team.

And after travelling for ten minutes at his full speed, he finally sensed three chakra signatures all of whom had earth chakra natures and one of whom Naruto recognised as the big and burly Iwa genin who had started a fight with him.

Deciding to finish the fight quickly Naruto again used the Kirigakure jutsu to cover the area they were resting in dense mist and the Iwa genin were quickly alerted that the mist was not natural, as one of them was apparently a sensor and had sensed Naruto's approach and the chakra in the mist, so they were alert and covered themselves in a rock armor , but Naruto quickly channeled lightning chakra through Benihime and easily pierced their rock armor and impaled one them through the heart, killing him instantly.

And then Naruto sensed the remaining two genin go underground using Doton jutsu, so seeing no use in the hidden mist jutsu remaining active in the current situation, Naruto dispelled the mist and then flashed through a few hanseals and stomped on the ground with one foot and intoned Raiton : Underground quake flash, and a few streams of intense lightning streamed out from his feet and blasted off into the ground, causing a big blast of lightning and the two Iwa genin were launched out of the earth with electrical burns all over their bodies, and they were twitching as their bodies were still suffering from the lightning chakra flowing through their bodies from Naruto's lightning jutsu.

And before they could recover from Naruto's lightning jutsu, Naruto threw a kunai and killed one of them with a kunai straight through his head. Leaving the big and burly genin as the only one alive.

And Naruto waited patiently for him to stop twitching and regain control over his body, and then Naruto removed his facemask as he wanted the cocky Iwa genin to see his face and realise who was going to kill him, and then started twirling the tri pronged kunai of his father that he always kept with him, and Naruto was sure that the genin would recognize him.

And just as Naruto expected, the Iwa genin Boru looked at him in shock as he instantly recognized his face, those electric blue eyes and sun blonde hair and the twirling tri pronged kunai in his hand, and roared in anger as he suddenly remembered his parents who had lost their lives at the hands of the damned Yellow Flash. And now his brother and his teammates and friends had also lost their lives at the hands of that bastard's son, though he wondered how Konoha had hidden the existence of the Kiroii senko.

But Naruto simply smirked at his anger filled roars and said in a slow and deliberate voice "recognized me, did you? I should admit that I did expect you to recognize my face as my father is rather famous in your village afterall. And I don't want my identity to be revealed till the finals. So, sorry but not sorry, but you will have to die here".

" I don't think so, you bastard. I am going to send you to your bastard father! " Boru shouted and rushed towards Naruto after coating his entire body in thick rock armor.

In answer to his rush at him, Naruto flicked the tri pronged kunai in his hand at the head of the Iwa genin, but he simply tilted his head to the side and avoided the kunai, but before he could comprehend what happened, Naruto disappeared from infront of him and appeared behind him with a spinning blue ball of pure chakra in his hand and plunged it into his back with a shout of Rasengan.

Boru cried out in agony as the spiralling ball of destruction ripped through his rock armor like paper and tore into his back, grinding away his skin and destroying his spine, killing him on the spot. And with his death, Naruto dispelled the Rasengan, and then collected the scroll given to his team at the beginning of the task. It turned out to be a scroll marked with a cloud symbol. He then covered up his face again with a face mask.

And as Naruto looked at the dead bodies of the Iwa genin, Naruto admitted to himself that the only reason he had used the Rasengan against the big Iwa genin was because of him insulting his mother, and for that the only punishment in his book was death. And while Naruto hated torturing someone physically, he didn't mind mentally torturing the Iwa genin with the revelation that the Yellow flash had a son and that his brother and his friends had died at that same person's hands. And also he had sensed that he had lost the Kumo ANBU who had been tailing him throughout the whole task, and that had been the sole reason that Naruto had not used any jutsu except the hidden mist jutsu, when he was being observed. He had only used his various jutsu, when he had managed to shake him off for some period of time by using his shadow clones as decoys. And he had done the exact same thing to shake off his tail, before he had confronted the Iwa team, as he didn't want his identity to be revealed by his use of the Rasengan. He had only revealed his use of the Hidden Mist Jutsu and his use of Kenjutsu and mid chunin level Taijutsu to defeat his opponents, when the Kumo ANBU had been watching him.

And now Naruto was planning on going to the tower, as there were only three more scrolls in circulation in the forest, and so at the most one more team, either from Frost country or from Tanigakure would advance to the finals, and Naruto had no problem with that, as he had eliminated all the teams from Kumo and Iwa, that he was supposed to eliminate. And Naruto was no longer in the mood to kill hapless genin who were no match for him, when there was no reason for him to kill them, and Naruto abhorred killing without a solid reason.

But it seemed that luck was not on his side as a team from Frost blocked his path when he was on his way to the tower. Frankly speaking luck was not on their side.

One of the Frost genin sneered at Naruto and said to his teammates in a mocking voice "look guys, we have the last male Senju before us. Lets kill him and we will become famous as the ones who ended the Senju clan, as his mother can no longer have children at her age. It is a wonder that she even had children, I think that he is the result of a drunken one night stand, afterall we all know that Tsunade Senju is known for being a drunk and also known as the legendary sucker. I wonder how well she sucks! " And hearing their teammate's innuendo about the Hokage, the other two Frost genin also burst out laughing.

And suddenly, Naruto who was looking at them with a disinterested gaze and was thinking about just knocking them out and leaving, suddenly felt an intense burst of anger on hearing the inappropriate comments about his mother, and his gaze sharpened and his eyes resembled two chips of cold unforgiving blue ice. There was no way these bastards were leaving his presence with their lives, after insulting his mother like that.

" I was willing to let you idiots go with your lives intact. But you bastards just had to go and make it personal, didn't you? Now I am going to beat you to death " Naruto said in a dead cold voice.

After delivering that warning, Naruto disappeared from his spot and appeared in front of one of the genin and smashed his fist into his chest with a chakra enhanced punch and intoned " Okasho ".

And that brutal chakra enhanced punch shattered the ribs of the Frost genin and punctured his lungs making him collapse on the ground while coughing and choking on his own blood. Naruto was definitely not going to give these bastards a clean death. They were going to suffer before dying.

And then Naruto tilted his head to the side to avoid a flying kick aimed at his head by one of the other two genin and then ducked another punch aimed at his face, and then with nary a thought, Naruto activated chakra scalpels at both his hands and legs and tore through the lungs of one of the genin with a roundhouse kick, which the genin barely dodged by skipping backwards, but the chakra scalpels at his feet tore through his lungs, making him collapse on the ground wheezing in agony and coughing up blood.

And then Naruto deactivated his chakra scalpels as he backflipped away to avoid a few water bullets launched at him by the sole standing Frost genin, who had been the bastard who had insulted his mother.

And then Naruto suddenly disappeared and appeared in front of the Frost genin and launched a quick brutal three punch combo at his midsection, making him cough out blood and almost blackout from the massive strength behind Naruto's blows and the immense internal trauma and internal bleeding caused by the combo of blows to his midsection.

And then Naruto suddenly crouched low and with a rising kick he sent the Frost genin flying into the air and then Naruto appeared above the Frost genin who was rising into the air and with a chakra enhanced downwards kick of his right he smashed him into the ground with an intonation of "Tsukenkyaku", and the impact shattered all the ribs of the genin and most of the bones in his body, and had caused massive internal trauma to all his organs and as the dust from the impact cleared Naruto saw that the Iwa genin was lying on the ground on the verge of death from that brutal Taijutsu combo, and the area around the Iwa genin was all cracked up from that massive impact on the ground.

And leaving all the three Frost genin to die slowly and in agony, Naruto went through their belongings and took their scroll, bringing up his collection to eight complete sets of scrolls and then he sealed them away and started moving towards the tower, as his work in the second round of the chunin exams, was done. And now the remaining team from Frost and the single team from Tanigakure could now fight it out amongst themselves for the remaining set of scrolls , but that was none of his business.

And with a shunshin, Naruto appeared near the Tower and had to immediately duck under a hail of kunai he had triggered by stepping on a trip wire. It seemed that someone had placed traps on the path to the tower, but Naruto was not in the mood to deactivate them one by one, so instead Naruto flashed through a few hanseals, and stomped on the ground and intoned Doton : Mud Wave, and then he rode on a gigantic wave of mud which activated all the traps and buried all the explosions or any other traps under a wave of thick mud, and then Naruto dispelled his jutsu when he reached the gates of the tower.

And then he found the lady jounin from the first task waiting for any genin who arrived at the tower.

" Senju San, do you have a complete set of scrolls? " Mabui asked

" Oh boy ! Do I?" Naruto said with a smirk on his face and unsealed all eight sets of scrolls he had with him and handed them over to her enjoying the look of shock on her face when she saw the number of scrolls he had on him.

" So Kunoichi san, do I advance to the next round? " Naruto asked in an innocent voice breaking her out of the stupor she had slipped into at finding out that the genin whom all the Kumo shinobi who had seen his First round performance, had dismissed as an average at best shinobi, had eliminated half of all the teams in the second round.

' It seems that Darui was right in his suspicions about the Senju heir hiding his true strength, as it seems like he truly is a prodigy. I wonder what he did to our genin and the Iwa and Kusa genin, who undoubtedly tried to kill him in the Forest', Mabui thought in worry about the fate of the Kumo genin, as other than Bee's and Darui's team, no other Kumo team had yet to pass the Second round and the first day of the Second test, was almost over, and there were only two more days. Already six teams had passed the second round, not including the Senju heir, and including the eight sets of scrolls in the Senju heir's possession, there were fourteen sets of scrolls already accounted for out of the fifteen total sets of scrolls in circulation at the start of the second task, meaning that it was only possible for one more team to pass the second round.

Jounin Lounge ( Kumo) :-

While his chibi kouhai was going on a killing spree in the second round of the chunin exams, Kakashi Hatake was leisurely enjoying the latest edition of his favorite Icha Icha series, as he casually lounged upon a couch in the Jounin lounge present in the Tower in the Valley of Death, where all the jounin sensei of the genin teams which passed the first round, were asked to wait for their students. This had been his routine for the entire day, as he had no one to even have a conversation with.

There were no other Konoha jounin with him, and the jounin from the other villages were not on friendly terms with Konoha, and though there were two jounin from Suna, which was an ally of Konoha, they seemed to be too intimidated by Kakashi to have a conversation with him. Infact the only jounin that he had had a proper conversation with, was a female jounin from Frost, whose genin team was participating in the second round. Her name was Shiromane and she was seated on a couch beside Kakashi, and to Kakashi's' delight she had even asked him for another copy of Icha Icha to read herself, instead of judging him for his choice in literature. And Kakashi had been more than happy to supply her with another Icha Icha book from his extensive collection. And currently they were both enjoying their literature as the other jounin, especially those from Kumo, Iwa and Kusa were glaring holes into Kakashi's skull. And Kakashi was glad that these jounin didn't have the power to set him on fire, as that power solely belonged to Itachi and his Amaterasu jutsu. And Kakashi had to restrain himself from killing all the Oto jounin present, especially that traitorous worm Kabuto, who seemed to think that Konoha couldn't do anything to harm him, now that he was under diplomatic immunity in Kumo. Kakashi couldn't wait to see Kabuto's expression when Naruto kills Sasuke, and he felt a smile coming onto his face when he imagined just how Orochimaru would punish his servant for not preventing his precious Uchiha from getting killed.

And by the time evening came around, six teams had already advanced to the next round, two from Kumo, one from Iwa, two from Suna and one from Oto ( Sasuke's team).

From what he had learned, Kakashi knew that both the Suna teams were the first to pass to the next round, and that Naruto had helped them, as he had seen the Suna jounin nodding to him in thanks after they had met their respective genin teams. Not that Kakashi had any doubts about Naruto's capability, as he knew that Naruto was more than capable of accomplishing the tasks assigned to him.

And by the time evening came, Naruto had still not reached the Tower, and the Kumo, Iwa, Kusa and Oto jounin began to send malicious looks at Kakashi and one of the Iwa jounin mockingly said " Well well Kakashi, it looks like your genin is going to die in the forest. You will have to bury another of your comrades. Isn't it right comrade killer Kakashi?" referring to the death of Obito, Rin and Minato sensei.

" It seems like the Senju clan ends today. That old hag Tsunade will not have any children again and her only son is going to die today ", one of the Oto jounin said mockingly.

" Ku ku ku, I wonder how Sasuke kun will react to the death of his former teammate. He will be heartbroken to know of his death. And Orochimaru sama will also be devastated to know of how his former teammate's son died", Kabuto said in his usual mocking voice as he was still shocked to know that Naruto was the son of Tsunade Senju and was the Senju heir.

But Kakashi was unbothered by the blabbering of these morons, though he would have dearly liked to shove a chidori through Kabuto's face.

Instead of responding heatedly to their insinuations, Kakashi simply raised his head from his Icha Icha book and turned his attention to them and said " gentlemen, did you say something? "

Enraged by Kakashi dismissing them like that, one of the Iwa jounin became enraged and shouted at Kakashi, almost frothing at his mouth saying " Just you wait Kakashi. Your and your precious Konoha's arrogance will be crushed. Our genin will have tortured and killed the Senju brat by now. We will see how you react when your student's broken and dead body is laid out in front of you ".

Now Kakashi's ire was raised, as he was assaulted by the image of Naruto lying on the brink of death, with a hole through his chest.

Deciding to remind these idiots just whom they were dealing with, Kakashi released his entire killing intent and concentrated that entire monstrous killing intent onto those jounin who were trying to provoke him, making them almost faint in shock, as they were pushed to the ground by that immense killing intent concentrated on them. They were all shaking in fear, including Kabuto as they felt like there was a kunai held at all of their throats.

" You seem to be forgetting just whom you are provoking, you bloody fools. It seems that you idiots have never learnt not to disturb a sleeping dragon. I can kill the majority of you before you even blink an eye, and you think that it is wise to provoke me to anger by taunting me about my student's death. Do you really have a death wish, as you seem very interested in provoking the wrath of Sharingan no Kakashi", Kakashi said in a deadly calm voice, in a sharp contrast to the laid back image Kakashi had been projecting till then, making all the jounin in the lounge, except Killer Bee and Darui gulp in fear that they had all indeed forgotten just whom they had been trying to mess with.

Seeing the situation quickly deteriorate, Darui decided to intervene before the idiots really provoked Kakashi enough, that he simply slaughtered them all.

" Relax Kakashi san, I am sure that they just misspoke. There is really no need for violence", Darui said in a pacifying voice, as he tried to pacify the enraged dragon in their midst.

" Bro yo bro! Leave those fools yo! " Killer Bee said in his unique rapping style in an attempt to pacify the Legendary Konoha shinobi, as he didn't think that even he could stop Kakashi before he killed all those idiotic jounin, who had been needling him.

Shiromane, the Frost jounin laid a hand on Kakashi's shoulder and squeezed his shoulder softly and said " Kakashi san, please relax. There is no reason to get angry. Your student will be disqualified if you attack those fools". And then she sent a disgusted glare at the jounin who had been needling Kakashi by talking about how his genin would be killed gruesomely by their students. She couldn't believe the idiots who seemed to take joy at the death of a genin, who was basically a child.

Hearing the words of the female kunoichi, Kakashi took a deep breath and calmed himself and instead sent a chilling glare at the various jounin who had been set on provoking him, and said " If I were you, I would not be bothered about the fate of my student. I would be more worried about the fate of your students. If I know my student correctly, then I am sure that he has already killed the majority of the remaining genin in the forest, especially those from Iwa, Kumo, Oto and Kusa. You call us peace loving hippies, right? Well let's see how your genin fare when pitted against Naruto, who doesn't give a fuck about sparing an enemy or giving second chances. The only reason that your villages are still standing even after losing all the three shinobi wars is because of Konoha's mercy, and you have the gall to spit at that very mercy."

" Oh please! stop your empty boasting Kakashi. You Konoha always likes to boast about your so called prodigies. But we know that his performance in the first round was average at best ", one of the Kumo shinobi who had regained his courage said with a false bravado.

" You idiots never heard about the term " deception is a shinobi's greatest weapon " , if you think my student would reveal his true strength in a place where there was no use for it and his enemies were watching his every move ", Kakashi said mockingly and Darui felt a headache coming on as his instincts had warned him that the Senju heir had been faking his true strength and skill level.

" Now he doesn't need to hunt for your teams, they themselves will come to him, trying to kill him with no idea of his true strength. The shinobi whom you know nothing about, kills you the fastest ", Kakashi said in a condescending voice.

" And you should be glad that it was me you were dealing with and not the Hokage, because if she heard the things you said about her son, I can promise you, she would have liquefied your bodies with your punches and even you with your healing factor, wouldn't have survived her wrath, Kabuto ", Kakashi said, making all the jounin present shiver in fear at the thought of facing the wrath of the sole female Sannin, who was known to have broken a hill with a single punch. They all knew about her infamous explosive temper and they all blanched as they thought about how she would react if her son was killed, diplomatic immunity be damned.

And suddenly the tension in the room was broken, when Mabui walked in and said " Kakashi san, your genin has advanced to the next round. You can go and meet him. He is resting in the rooms reserved for the genin who passed the second round ".

On receiving that news about Naruto's success, Kakashi strolled out of the room, but not before throwing a smug smirk at the jounin who had predicted his student's death at the hands of their genin, making them all blanch as they wondered about what had happened to their respective genin, as they had all been ordered to eliminate all the Konoha genin participating, and began to fear that Kakashi's prediction was correct and that they had all been killed at the hands of the Senju heir.

And then Mabui approached Darui and said "your suspicions were right, Darui. That Konoha genin hid his true level of skill. He had eight complete sets of scrolls with him, when he arrived at the tower, meaning that he took out sixteen genin teams on his own. Including the sets of scrolls collected by the six teams which have already passed, there is a chance for only one more team to pass to the next round ".

" Which means that the Senju heir most probably eliminated all the Kumo teams other than my team and Bee's team and all the Iwa teams other than the one team containing the Tsuchikage's granddaughter. He most probably did the same to all the Oto teams other than the one that passed, as apparently Sasuke Uchiha was his former teammate before he defected, and he may have a soft spot for him. We should inform the Raikage about this and make sure that the Senju heir faces the Uchiha in the Preliminaries, as that hesitation may lead to the Senju heir being killed ", Darui said. And immediately left along with Mabui to meet with the Raikage and inform him about everything.

And as the two Kumo jounin departed, the other jounin began worrying about the fate of their genin and lamenting about how thoroughly the Senju heir had deceived them all.

And Shiromane was glad that she had instructed her team to stay away from the Senju heir, as she had immediately sensed a predator when she saw the Senju heir, and she knew that her team was nowhere near ready to deal with that type of an opponent, and they probably never would be, as she knew about the might of the Senju clan.

Raikage's office :-

"You were right to warn us to be careful of the Senju heir, Darui ", Ay admitted before roaring in anger and smashing his desk to pieces.

" The ANBU I sent to keep watch over the Senju heir, just reported back, and it seems that the brat knew that he was being tailed and often led the ANBU on a wild goose hunt by using some type of clones, while he dealt with his opponents. According to the ANBU, other than your team and Bee's team, that Konoha brat has killed all our genin, and he did the same to all the Iwa teams and Oto teams , other than the teams which have passed. He apparently killed all the Kusa teams and one Frost team as well. And the irritating factor is that the ANBU never saw him use anything other than the Hidden Mist Jutsu and Kenjutsu. And that top no fancy moves with the sword. He most probably learnt the Hidden mist jutsu from his sensei, that damned Copy ninja Kakashi. And that brat hid all his other moves or jutsu, if he used them in the presence of our ANBU, by the use of the Hidden mist jutsu. So, we have no intel on his skills, despite losing nine genin to his blade " Ay lamented.

" That brat is good, very good. According to the ANBU he never confronted anyone directly, and always ambushed them or laid traps for them. He is a true shinobi", Ay admitted bitterly.

" Where the hell does Konoha find these damned prodigies in every generation? " Ay asked rhetorically.

Then Darui told the Raikage about his idea to use Sasuke Uchiha to kill the Senju, as he apparently had a soft spot for the former Konoha genin as he was apparently the Senju's teammate, and that was most probably the reason why he didn't go after them in the Second round.

" Do as you wish Darui. I have no better idea. And if I had not listened to your suggestion to order your team and Bee's team to stay away from the Senju heir, we would have probably lost Bee's team, as Yugito would have been able to easily kill the brat and take your team through to the next round ", Ay said.

" If you think that your idea will work, then go ahead with it. As even it fails, we will lose nothing ", Ay ordered and dismissed both Darui and Mabui who on the way out asked an ANBU member to replace the Raikage's desk.

Naruto's room ( Tower) :-

Kakashi entered Naruto's room to find him laying peacefully on his bed as he read some book on Fuinjutsu.

" Congratulations Naruto. Can I assume that you accomplished all your tasks? " Kakashi asked as he approached his student.

Naruto who had already sensed the approaching Kakashi, was not surprised to see him, and instead answered the question saying " Yeah! I fulfilled all my objectives. They were not much of a challenge. I didn't need to use any flashy jutsu to take care of them. I mostly used the Hidden mist jutsu and my sword to take care of my opponents. I also used the occasional Taijutsu move too ".

And as Kakashi was about to shush Naruto for speaking out aloud such things, Naruto replied " and before you shush me, I already removed all the listening seals applied in the room and also applied silencing seals around the room. So our conversations are secure ".

Kakashi nodded his head in appreciation at his student's vigilance and asked " already seven teams have passed including you. How many more teams may pass? "

" Well, I collected eight sets of scrolls, so there is only a possibility for one other team to pass. And it will be either from Frost country or from Tanigakure. I took care of all the other teams ", Naruto said.

" Very good. That means that preliminaries will be definitely held, there will be twenty two genin who have advanced to the next round. And your opponent will definitely be Sasuke, as Kabuto let it slip that Sasuke is your ex teammate, and Darui heard it. He will think that the reason that you didn't go after Sasuke's team like you killed the other Oto teams, is because of some soft spot you have for him, as Konoha is known for its teamwork and team spirit. He will hope that Sasuke takes advantage of it and kills you.And also because Kumo will lose nothing if their plan fails and you kill Sasuke " , Kakashi said.

" Then I will be ready for Sasuke. I promise to you sensei, Sasuke will not leave the arena alive", Naruto said.

" Good, but don't take any unnecessary risks Naruto. You know how to effectively combat a Sharingan as you have constantly fought me while I was using the Sharingan.
