After the last week it was finally time to have the final exam. I had found out that Tsunade and Shizune were pregnant and had of course went to the hospital to go through every bit of medical knowledge and equipment they had. I almost got stopped by the hospital guards until an ANBU agent had told them to just let me go through with it. Apparently the hokage knew that I was trustworthy and had also heard about the good news.
I went through the hospitals paperwork in less than a day and had looked over at least one of every one of their equipment. I'm sure that when I went through the patient files they felt rather uncomfortable, but they probably didn't think much of it since I only looked at each one for less then a couple seconds before moving on. They probably figured I was looking for specific blood types or something specific and passed on anyone who didn't have the keyword on their file. Jokes on them since I could just scan the files and store all the information in my head.
I went and started writing a new book based off of the medical information I had as well as improving the medical techniques that were currently used. I also used information from my last life that I had studied and named the book The Medic. It was a simple name, but had an insane amount of advanced information on pretty much every medical issue and how to heal that issue. I had even made a list in the front of the book with the names of the different problems as well as grouping them into categories.
My book was instantly made into an S rank book and would be judged after the finals to find out how much it was actually worth.
I also had to deal with a mob of farmers who had shown up outside my house to get revenge since their wives and daughters were pregnant with my kids. I dealt with it like a mature adult. The ANBU who was watching me made sure of that.
I went outside and set up a table using my chakra to form a tree into the shape I needed. I placed a pile of envelopes on the table and sat down while the farmers were busy watching me to see what I would do. I then looked at the first envelope and called out to a farmer in the crowd. After he came out and looked at me in anger I simply looked him in the eye and told him to buy the envelope from me for 500 ryo or I would send it to his wife.
He looked at me like I was an idiot before saying. "You do realize that you are surrounded by a mob of angry people who would like nothing more than to see you get ripped to shreds and by law you can't hurt us without feeling your life is in danger. It would make you into a criminal shinobi and make you get hunted until you die. Yet you tell me to buy your letter like you couldn't care less. Are you an idiot or something."
I didn't say anything and just reached inside the envelope and pulled out a picture. I slid the picture across the table and saw him and all of the farmers there turn white as ghosts. "Are you sure you don't want to buy the envelopes from me before I send them to your wives?" I asked with a shark like grin. "Also keep in mind that this isn't my real body and I have copies of all of these envelopes in a safe place so even if you kill me and burn the envelopes I can just send them out later. Now if you want to buy the envelopes you should probably all line up, we wouldn't want the wrong person to get ahold of your envelope now would we."
The farmers immediately lined up and were even more pale then they were previously since even if they beat my clone they wouldn't get anything from it. I made some good money that day and I never heard from them again. Ino, Sakura, Tsunade, and Shizune were all pissed at me until they found out what was in those envelopes. I had taken pictures of the farmers time in the red light district which included adultery, drugs, underground death fights, and many more worse crimes. It was all things that could end up with them in jail or at the very least ending up losing their farms and families. I swear the lot of them were basically a borderline mob family.
The next day I was wandering around before the tournament and got to see something rather amazing. Naruto and Hinata were talking to each other and Hinata actually managed not to faint and gave Naruto some cheering up. I was so proud of her.
I think that she did pass out with her eyes open though once Naruto ran off because he told her that he likes people like her, with her romance brain it probably turned into him confessing to her.
Kiba showed up a couple seconds later and was confused, he was even more confused when I came out and went over to Hinata.
"What are you doing Alex? The matches start soon and you need to get going or you'll be late." Kiba told me.
I ignored him and waved my hand in front of Hinata's face. "Yep, completely out of it. In that case." I pulled out a marker and tossed down a smoke bomb to block Kiba's view and drew on Hinata's face. I then immediately left.
I had written Naruto love and use a mirror to see what your kids would look like on her. I also drew whiskers on her face like what Naruto has. I could hear Kiba yelling behind me and Hinata letting out strangled yelps from me exposing her like that. It was a little mean of me, but I also figured she would like the idea of kids with Naruto. It'll be a nice little present from me since after this it'll become pretty rough for a bit.
I went straight to the stage after that and I have to admit that it was something else. Being put on display to the cheering crowds made me feel what it must have been like to fight in the Roman colosseums. In any case I had to wait for a bit for Naruto to show up and Sauske and Dosu weren't around either.
Naruto came in being chased by bulls, the funniest thing was that while everyone was being all serious I was just laying down on the ground and drinking some juice from a gourd I had placed two seals in. The seals were a space seal to store more juice and a cooling seal to make it colder. It was very refreshing and was making everyone around me uncomfortable. I also was making the crowd rather noisy because of how laid back I was being, but I think I had made the Lords happy since I had sent all of the ones attending and the hokage a weaker version of my gourd and told them it was refillable. The Fire lord seemed very happy since his wife seemed to love the sweet juice I had made. Growing sugarcane isn't hard, but it is a little difficult since I needed to focus on each plant and it cost a ton of chakra to grow from scratch.
The examiner in charge of being the referee let us know about the change in the fights because of Dosu dying and also talked about how if Sauske didn't show up for his match he would automatically fail even without an opponent.
He then let us know that the first match was Naruto vs Neji.
I have to admit that the fight between the two was super tense and I could feel the angst in the air heavy enough to cut. I still enjoyed watching Naruto beat the crap out of Neji like that though.
The next match was Kurano vs Shino and Kurano withdrew. The crowds almost went berserk from their anger.
The next match was Temari vs. Shikamaru and I laughed quite a bit when I heard Shikamaru talk about also withdrawing only to have Naruto push him into the ring before he could withdraw.
The match between the two was a giant lead on and made me laugh so hard from the whole thing because I knew that with Shikamaru's personality that he wanted to quit since the beginning. He was only fighting her because he felt it would be to much trouble to do another exam later and wanted to become a chunin so he wouldn't have to deal with that. It made me laugh even harder when I thought about how chunin's have to do even more difficult tasks. The poor sucker was trying to escape to a life of boredom while actually digging to an even more busy life.
The next match up was between me and Gaara. Boy do I have to say that this fight was going to be intense.
After coming down to the field I saw Sauske who had come in with Kakashi arrive in the field at the same time. They asked if they had been disqualified and were happy that the match had just been carried over since Dosu was dead and not that he was disqualified. Sauske wished me luck as he headed up to be a spectator and I waited for Gaara.
When Gaara came down he had a look on his face like he was bored and it really irritated me. Even the people in the stands were seeming bored and the referee looked like he was just ready to call the match with my loss right off the bat. He even went so far as to ask me twice if I was really not going to give up. "I'm going to destroy Gaara and this whole fricken match."
"You know Gaara." I said with as much of a smile as I could. "You have been acting like a stuck up prick this whole time. I heard about how you think your life's purpose is to kill people and that you love only yourself. I even got told repeatedly to quit so that you don't hurt me too badly, but you know what. I'm going to utterly crush you." I let out a whistle and saw Tsun and Dere come in and stand next to me. They had grown to be the size of small buses by now and I could tell how intimidating they looked by the fact that a number of people in the audience screamed in fright. Even Gaara seemed to pay more attention to me now, though it was mostly on the twins.
"You seem strong, I'll crush you first and then I'll crush the rest of them." Gaara told me with a cold glare.
"Sure thing mama's boy." I smirked. "This of course made his glare a ton worse and his eyes went wide in insane anger."
I didn't even have time to move before sand exploded outwards and I ended up getting hit in the chest with a fist made of sand. I hit the wall and just looked up at Gaara who was still glaring at me in anger and I let out a smile.
"I guess I really can't take things lightly with you can I?" I then reached down and rolled up my pants.
"What is he doing?" I heard someone from the audience ask.
"I don't know, it looks like he's messing with something on his ankles though."
I grabbed ahold of the weights on my ankles and took them off. When they hit the ground a loud boom and dust rose from the ground. I could see Gaara's eyebrows twitching since this was exactly the same as what had happened with Lee. Unlike Lee however, I then removed my vest and let it fall to the ground also letting out a boom. I then removed a total of 5 more weights and let them fall into a pile. By the time I was done I was shirtless and I could hear people exclaiming in amazement, this of course included Guy and Lee.
"My turn." I said to Gaara before moving over to him. To the people around the arena it probably looked like I had disappeared, but honestly I was just moving at ridiculously high speeds. I then proceeded to punch Gaara all over his body with only the intent to destroy his shields. His shields actually could not keep up with me and Gaara was then beat around like a piñata.
I went and stood a little ways from Gaara and watched as he spit up blood and his shields broke. He started to freak out from getting hurt and asked how I had hurt him.
I explained. "When I hit you the first time I immediately went to the other side of you and hit the opposite side. While you do have on an armor it can only protect what is inside from outside forces, but if I cause damage that effects the inside more and not the outside then you can still receive damage. Your defense is good, but it's not thick enough to stop me." I boasted.
Gaara just let out a yell at that before having his sand completely cover him in a ball. He then made a little sand eye to watch me. I of course could have stopped him, but instead I let him go through with it. I already knew that to use this he would use basically all of his chakra and that if I interrupted it then he would lose all of the chakra he spent.
After Gaara was in his ball I tested out how strong the ball was. It was around the same strength as steel with multiple layers overlapping. I decided to combine with the twins when I almost got caught by some spikes.
We combined into our ultra wolf form, which caused a lot of people in the audience to be surprised. There was a bunch of combination Jutsu's out there, however it was rare between a ninja and his animal partner, much less demon wolves which were thought to be impossible to turn into partners in the first place.
I went and after becoming an ultra wolf I ran forward and stabbed my claws into the sand ball and penetrated through. I could feel my claws hit something soft on the other side and had stopped myself from piercing through completely so I wouldn't accidentally kill Gaara.
After I pulled back I got to see Gaara's tailed beast and when he looked at me I just smiled at him. It must have made Shukaku uncomfortable since he immediately looked away and the shell ended up cracking.
I noticed a genjutsu being cast on the crowd and everyone starting to make moves. I even could feel a slight rumble through the ground. It was probably from the snake that was summoned outside the village attacking the wall.
After Gaara came out of the shell his siblings came to his side and his instructor also went in front of him. The referee went in front of me and I left my ultra wolf form and returned to normal while looking at Gaara who was in turn glaring at me while clutching his arm which I had apparently stabbed.
While the two jonin were going back and forth I looked Gaara in the eyes and solemnly said. "I was told that you believe that the sand that you use is your mother's curse on you. I can tell you now after looking at the creature inside of you that it is not your mother. It is a creature that wishes for destruction and death, it is also still very much alive unlike your mother. It showed me shock and acted in fear when I looked in it's eyes. I believe that it is pretending to be your mother and causing you to go mad so that it can control you to do its bidding. You can believe me or not, but keep my words in mind and try to find out the truth within yourself."
Gaara stayed silent and had a contemplating look on his face until he clutched his head in pain.
"Take Gaara and leave until he gains his chakra back." The sand jonin commanded the other two and they all left while the leaf jonin told me to go after them.
"I think that there is someone better suited for that then me right now." I told him while pointing my head towards Sauske who was going after the three. The sand ninja threw some kunai at him only to have the leaf ninja knock them away.
"I'll go help out Guy and Kakashi for now. They look like they could use some help." I then turned and ran towards the spectators stands and felt another tremor through the ground. I reached the stands and had Tsun and Dere rush through the ninja that were fighting. We went through like a hurricane and killed any ninja who tried to stop us and wasn't wearing a leaf protector.
Tsun and Dere were in murder heaven since they were finally able to go wild. I wasn't any better since I finally could let loose and used my wood style I had learned from the Senju library to cause wood cocoons to cover the audience members who were asleep in their chairs and dragged the cocoons into the ground. I then used the same wood to create spears and any other weapon I could think of along with all kinds of shields and had them attack the enemy ninja. I couldn't figure out who was an enemy and who was an ally so I yelled out that my allies should just let the plants restrain them since if they tried to fight them then the plants would kill them and I could then check through who was a friend or an enemy later.
I'm sure a few of the allied shinobi didn't trust me and were killed because of it, but the ones who did trust me survived just fine and the ones who were enemies were definitely dead.
I ran to Guy and Kakashi and had them help me with searching out who was our allies and if their was any shinobi pretending to be our allies.
Once that was done I ran to the seats that had Sakura and Ino in them until a little bit ago and I checked under them to find a switch.
"What are you doing Alex? There is still a ton of enemies all around and picking up your girlfriends purses can wait til later." Guy yelled out at me.
"The hokage and I was worried that there would be some sort of attack happening at the exam and placed a failsafe device under these seats. I had the hokage specifically seat Sakura and Ino here in order to hide the chakra from the device." I told them as a small altar rose up from the seat as it was pushed backwards. On top of the altar was a metal box with a dial with letters on top of it.
As soon as the altar rose up a ninja wearing an anbu mask ran past us and grabbed the box before running three steps and dropping to the ground. When the others checked him it turned out to be an enemy in disguise. I then had everyone remove their masks and show their faces, even if it was against the ANBU code we couldn't let anymore enemies slip past us. Not surprisingly two more of the fake ANBU tried to run for it and were killed. After that not a single member was willing to chance it and removed their masks.
They checked the first fake and asked me to explain how he had died. I walked over to the altar and said. "The box was a trap set up in case of this exact situation, it is filled with poison that will instantly kill anyone who isn't resistant and will go off if it gets more than four feet from the altar. The real failsafe is here." I said while pushing a button on the bottom of the altar.
We all felt a surge of chakra go through us and then spread outwards causing everyone to rub their arms and give me looks of curiosity.
"To answer the questions I'm sure you all have, that was to activate the formation I had made. The hokage had to have asked most if not all of you to put chakra into the collection points for the past two weeks to speed up the collection of the chakra. It was for a formation I made and set up around the village that would cause a chakra shield to appear on all of the buildings and the ground that would negate any and all damage. It also causes any chakra that hits it to be absorbed by a tenth to strengthen and lengthen the barrier. Any formation using chakra or any summons will slowly wither away since the constant draw on chakra will make them run out really fast."
"That's amazing Alex." Kakashi said and Guy gave me a thumbs up. "Where did all of the people go though." He asked while looking at the stands that had turned into a forest by this point.
"I took them all underground and am moving them to the hospital." Tsunade and Shizune was there helping out in case of an emergency.
"That all seems oddly convenient." One of the ANBU said with a scowl. "Won't the people you are transporting die once your formation absorbs your chakra?"
"I had the people almost there before I activated the formation, they'll be there by the time the chakra runs out. Also if I was a traitor you would already be dead, the hokage agreed with my plans just in case of an event like this so if you have any issues with it you can go complain to him. Now head on out of here and go catch the bastards out in the city and remember about the formation." I told them with a serious tone.
The ANBU all left and the only people left were me, Kakashi, and Guy. Tsun and Dere were still taking care of all the enemy shinobi I had identified and moved into a cave type place made of wood. If you got close to it you could still here muffled screams and the only way out was past the twins.
"So, do you have any plans on how to get the hokage out of that barrier." Kakashi asked me while Guy just kept an eye out for any enemies who might appear.
"The only two ways for the barrier to fail is for either one of the people to die or to run out of chakra. You could use a barrier of an opposite type to offset this one, but it would require at least 6 people specialized in this kind of barrier."
"We don't have the time needed for that." Guy said to me. "Can you think of anything we can do now."
"The only thing we can do now is to throw water or ice based elemental attacks at the barrier since it is fire based it will weaken the barrier and make it cost more to keep up."
"Very well, I'll go let the others know so we can start on that." Kakashi said before leaving to tell the others. Guy stayed back to protect me while I sat in one of the seats.
I went up to the barrier when Orochimaru summoned the two Senju brothers.
"Hello ancestors." I greeted them politely.
"You are?" Hashirama asked.
"My name is Alex Senju, I am one of your descendants." I nodded to him.
"Oh, does the Senju clan still flourish." He asked while his brother kept the third hokage busy.
"Unfortunately there is only two of us from the clan left." I told him with a sad smile. "While there is currently nothing I can do to release you from this jutsu you are under I will make sure to light an incense stick to ease your passing after the battle has finished."
"I see, thank you for letting me know." Hashirama said before nodding his head and going back to the fight.
Orochimaru just looked at me with interest before once again focusing on the battle.
I sat down and just thought about what I had just learned while watching the high level fight between Sarutobi and Orochimaru.
Both of the two Senju's had made hand signs in the code only taught to those of the main Senju clan. I had read the scrolls detailing the code and had learned how to sign it fluently. The two of them had let me know of three places within the Senju estate that were hidden away with secret passages. Hashirama had even told me that his personal sword was in the place he told me of and that it would test me to see if I could wield it.
Tobirama had told me of two different places, one was the secret library he had made that contained not only a copy of every jutsu they had at the time, but also the ones that were considered to dangerous to let outsiders have the chance to know of them. The second place was like Hashirama's place and was Tobirama's vault.
I had told them of how Tsunade and I were the last of the direct members of the Senju clan and that we were currently staying at the estate. I also told them of how I was also a wood style user and could use other styles at will without using any less chakra for using a style that wasn't my strong point. They were rather happy I was so strong.
I watched the fight to the finish and saw the third hokage die while taking Orochimaru's ability to use his arms with him to the afterlife.
Tsun and Dere had come next to me and were surprised when I told them not to follow Orochimaru when he fled with his minions. Instead I had them head out to the village to kill any of the enemy ninja who hadn't left yet. They gladly went and started to hunt them down.
Guy and Kakashi both came next to me and Kakashi started asking me a few things.
"The third hokage has died, did he ever tell you what to do in this situation? Any orders for us to follow?"
"He knew that there was a chance he would die, but I'm sure you already know that his orders would be to defeat the enemies if they remain and to protect our people. I told him while gritting my teeth." I had already decided to let gramps die, but that didn't mean that I was any less sad about it.
"In the name of the third hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi all shinobi in the hidden leaf village are ordered to remove the invaders from the village by any means necessary and to protect and save as many of the villages citizens to the best of their abilities." I stood up in as imposing a manner as I could and I yelled as loudly as I could using chakra to amplify my voice throughout the village.
Kakashi and Guy nodded to me before leaving and the ANBU that were still there also nodded to me and gave a salute before leaving.
I sat down and just looked at the sky with a sigh. I had been focusing on feeding the formation with my chakra in order to keep it as strong as possible for as long as I could, but even while doing that I had felt a few houses collapse from the fighting through the formation. I had minimized the damage, but it still felt rough when I knew that people were dying all over the place.
I sat there with Sarutobi's body until night fell and the battles had finally ended. The ANBU came and collected Sarutobi's body and would cremate him tonight so that nobody could get ahold of his body.
Tsunade came and found me while she was on break to let her chakra refill and she honestly looked pretty bad. We both fell asleep right then and there while holding each other because of how exhausted we were.
We woke up the next morning to people snickering. I looked around and saw Shizune, Ino, Shikamaru, Sauske, Kakashi, and a whole ton of other people all around us. I just grumbled and laid back down to go to sleep before getting kicked by Ino who yelled at me about not sleeping outside in public places.
Shikamaru just mumbled about how at least it wasn't him this time. Poor guy probably got this speech a lot since his favorite things to do was watch clouds and relax.
Tsunade finally got up and got informed by Kakashi about what was going on and the casualties. Even I flinched at how many had died and the mood instantly took a drop. Naruto, who would usually be the guy to bring the mood back up was in the hospital to deal with the wounds he had from fighting Gaara and having extreme chakra exhaustion.
Kakashi then informed us that the funerals for everyone who had died would be held together to honor everyone together with personal wakes held by the families at their discretion. This would all happen in two days once everything was sorted out.
I spent the rest of the day at the hospital with Tsunade and Shizune helping to heal anyone who was injured. My knowledge of medical ninjutsu was possibly even better than Tsunade's at this point and I was considered a genius doctor.
The next day everyone who could be healed was and those who couldn't were either dead or bedbound for now. I went back to the house and just sat on my bed while going over everything in my head. I had noticed that the seal on Sauske's neck had come undone and I was still rather unhappy with Orochimaru for all of his bullshit. He was just a selfish prick who was afraid of death, but if I kill him then it'll screw up the storyline.
I spent the rest of the day just sitting and thinking about random things and when night came literally every single girl I was in a relationship came to my room and decided to sleep in the bed with me. It was incredibly awkward and I had to use a jutsu to expand my bed to fit everyone. Tsunade, Shizune, Sakura, Sauske, and even Ino all came and snuggled with me. I asked if Ino's and Sakura's parents knew they were here and they told me they had told their parents about our relationship and had told them that they had no say in who they were with or they would disown them. It was scary how similar these two were.
The next day we all got ready and everyone dressed in black to attend the funeral. We all went to the funeral and placed a white flower on the altar while it rained and proceeded to mourn. After everything was done we all went to our homes and sat in our rooms to pass the day remembering those who had died.
I would miss gramps. I could have saved him, but I already know that he was to much of a kindhearted person to do what needed to be done. If he lived it would have affected the next hokage and possibly even the one after that. It would have caused untold damage to the village and eventually lead to the village's destruction. As much as I cared for the old fool I also know the difference in doing right actions for the wrong things and doing wrong actions for the right things. With his death perhaps the village will allow a new path to appear. Though from what I can tell it is going to be rough, whoever the next hokage is had better be able to get things done and kill people when they need it or I'll beat them to death myself.
