The next day I called for Sauske and told him about the deal I had made with Orochimaru and he did not look happy.
"Why in the hell did you do that?" He yelled at me." I don't need any training from that snake bastard and I am getting stronger every day by using your training methods."
"It's because you need his skills. While he is, well was, a terrible excuse for a human being, he is also extremely skilled and knowledgeable about jutsus and different ways of using them. If he teaches you what he knows and you are able to become as flexible in your ability to use jutsus then I believe that you will become almost unrivaled in this world." I then continued more softly. "Plus as it is right now I get worried about you. Everyone else is growing incredibly fast and you have started to become stuck. I love you and want you to become as strong as you had once dreamed of being, so strong that the tragedy of what happened to your clan won't ever happen again."
"I know you worry about me." Sauske said as he dropped in my lap and looked in my eyes. "You are right that I've not been progressing in my training lately, but it doesn't mean that you had to do something like fixing that bastards arms just to help me. There is plenty of others I could have gone to and learned something new from."
"You aren't the only reason why I made that deal with him." I smiled at Sauske before sighing and leaning my head against his. "I made multiple deals with him that will make it so we have a powerful ally that won't be able to betray us, in this world that is full of secret deals and people backstabbing each other every day that is almost invaluable."
"Okay, but I just want you to know that I am very much against this." Sauske pouted.
"Understood." I smiled and kissed him before letting him snuggle into me and start kissing my neck.
It started to head towards a make out and sex session but was interrupted by a knock on the door. I growled out. "Who is it?"
"It's urgent hokage sama. Jiraya has returned with a man named Pain and a woman named Konan and wishes to have a meeting with you urgently."
Sauske stood up and gave me a quick kiss before saying. "I'll let you get back to work then. Before walking towards the door."
"Continue this later?" I asked hopefully.
"Maybe, we'll see." He said with a quick smile before opening the door and leaving.
Jiraya and two other people entered the room and nodded to me.
"Jiraya, I just want to let you know that being a voyeur is bad enough, but cock blocking is even worse and I will have my revenge." I told him with a smile which made his hair stand on end.
"Uh, my bad." He said sheepishly while Konan leaned over and whispered to Pain. "I heard he was a womanizer, but is he also into men?"
"You two must be Pain and Konan right?" I asked with a smile.
"Yes hokage sama." Konan answered while Pain just looked at me as if he was looking for any sense of deceit.
"The fact that Nagato is using this Pain so well is rather remarkable, but if you keep looking at me like that it is going to be awkward since I am still dealing with what I was doing before you entered." I winked at the Pain who looked at me shocked. Konan also appeared shocked at the fact that I knew their secret. They both got into a defensive stance and prepared to fight if they needed to.
"No need to be so defensive. Your eyes aren't the only one's that are special in this world Nagato." I said to the Pain while letting my eyes shift to their wolfish look which caused Jiraya to let out a low whistle and the other two to loosen up a bit, though they were still both on guard.
"I had a guess when I saw the eye shadow, but with the eye change it confirms that you have become a sage." Jiraya said with some awe. "So what kind of sage are you?"
"Demon wolf sage." I said with a chuckle at Jiraya as he turned pale.
"Why are you reacting like that sensei, what's different about a toad sage and a demon wolf sage?" Pain asked when he noticed Jiraya had turned pale.
"Well the sage's are kind of like the animals they became the sage of, including the level of their power. Tsunade is a slug sage and is considered on the low end of strength, but she is skilled in healing and her slime ointments are able to help with various medical problems."
"Next would be me as the toad sage. I have explosive power and can use various abilities to trap my enemies or even cause them harm with my oils."
"Orochimaru is the snake sage and can hide by camouflaging himself and even shed his skin to repair damage he has gotten. He is also very skilled at sensing."
"The demon wolf sage is Alex. If he has even some of the skills of the demon wolves then he would be beyond dangerous, not that he wasn't already, but demon wolves have one skill that makes them a one of a kind monster that any and all ninja fear to fight and will refuse to unless it is as a group."
"What is that?" Konan asked while looking at Jiraya as he was teaching them. I could understand now why he was considered a great teacher even though he was such a pervert. He was good at keeping people's attentions.
"Demon wolves." He continued. "Can eat, see, and smell chakra. The stronger the wolf the farther away they can do this."
I saw both Konan and Pain take in deep breaths of air in shock.
"The reason why I knew Nagato was controlling Pain is because I can see the chakra line from pain going towards your village and I can see it coming back. It is the same as when a person creates a clone and controls it from a distance. I believe that with your two's history and the actions of Pain so far that the only likely answer was that Nagato was the controller, not to mention his Rinegan."
"I see." Pain said to me as he nodded his head. "I do have to ask. In your letter you talked about war as if you were very experienced in the matter and had personally seen those things happen. However from your appearance you are not much older than a teenager and couldn't possibly have seen such things. While it is possible for appearances to be deceiving, I have been told by Jiraya sensei that you are in fact only a teenager. Are you quoting someone or?" He left the rest of his question unasked and waited for me to give an answer.
"Have you ever heard of the multiverse theory?" I asked him with a grin.
"No, what is this multiverse theory you speak of?" Pain asked.
"It is the belief that every major decision that we make creates the world around us, but at the same time there is another version of us, like a clone if you will, but very much as real as we are, that has made the opposite choice and that world is created around them."
"For example if Madara and Hashirama had never come together and made this village and had instead killed one or the other. If that had happened the world we live in would be very different. The multiverse theory states that there is in fact a world that exists where that exact scenario has happened. As well as countless versions of the world where decisions happened that changed how the story of the world was different."
"That is a very interesting theory, but what does that have to do with this world and what is happening now?" Konan asked in irritation.
Nagato gave me a deep look and said. "Are you trying to say that you know the storyline of our world somehow or can view into the future?" This of course shocked both Jiraya and Konan who started looking between me and Pain.
"You sure are smart for doing something so foolish." I chuckled. "I can see a possible future and can tell what will happen if certain events play out as is."
"So the reason you reached out to me with that letter is to change the current outcome you can see." Pain said more to himself than as a question.
"I know that you are sick and dying from using your rinegan as well as how things are currently going within your group. It is no longer the group you had made before and the true purpose of your group has changed into a twisted mockery of the things you once fought for. Instead of peace your group will instead cause such chaos and destruction that it will kill countless people and create countless orphans such as yourselves. It also does not help that the fake Madara going by the name Tobi is being fooled by Zetsu and is currently controlling the group from the shadows while being controlled himself."
"What?!" Everyone in the room said in shock.
"Are you sure of this?" Pain asked with a serious tone.
"Yes. If you want to see if what I am saying is a lie or not then you can tell Tobi, whose real name is Obito by the way, to release the tailed beasts that you have captured and see how Zetsu reacts. He is supposed to be Madara's will incarnate, however he is in fact the will of Kaguya Otsuki who is a parasitic monster who came from outside our world to devour all of the lifeforce of our world. If you release the tailed beasts he will for sure go berserk and try to stop you. Obito can find out the truth from speaking to the tailed beasts or by angering Zetsu enough to make him spit out the truth."
I gave Nagato a serious look. "Be very careful of how you go about this, Obito has long been in denial on how truly terrible his actions are and has been tricked by Zetsu for so long that he is willing to kill anyone who challenges his delusions, this includes even his allies. If you die he will try to take your rinegan for himself and to use the path meant for reincarnation to truly bring back Madara. I am asking you not to believe me or even trust me, but to find out the truth for yourself and decide then on where you stand. All I can hope is that at the very least you will choose to not stand against us."
Pain nodded before turning and telling Konan that he was ready to leave. Konan nodded and asked me while swallowing in nervousness. "In the future that you saw, what happened to us?"
"In the future that I saw you two you killed Jiraya to hide that you had taken over Amakagure from Hanzo and when he managed to send a coded message by carving it into himself before death you attacked the village and killed many people. In the end all of the Pain's were defeated and Nagato was convinced by a certain over energetic boy to see the errors of his ways and to sacrifice what was left of his life to bring all of the people who died in his attack back to life. It however still left the village in shambles and countless people were wounded and dying. His body and you were taken by Tobi after his death and you chose to leave the Akatsuki after seeing the fake body of Nagato get cremated."
"The real body of Nagato had one of his eyes removed to replace the one Obito gave to Kakashi as children so that he could use the powers of both a rinegan and a sharingan. He also replaced his own eye he with a sharingan he had stolen from the Uchia clan during the massacre. He had Nagato's body reincarnated using the jutsu that Orochimaru has created and used Nagato to kill against his will. In the end Nagato was forced to reincarnate Madara which caused countless deaths. The rest is a secret for now."
"That is fine. Thank you for telling me and for changing this future." Konan bowed to me while Nagato had a troubled look. They left together while Jiraya stayed and looked lost in thought.
"So I died." He finally said with a sigh. "I always thought I would die some sort of hero on a great battlefield saving countless beautiful women, to think it would be at the hands of my own students." He shook his head.
"The future has been altered, maybe you can still die on the battlefield, though I think I'll only let you save men so you never die." I chuckled.
"You monster." Jiraya also chuckled.
"Want a drink?" I asked as I pulled out a couple of glasses and a bottle of sake.
"Aren't you a bit young to be drinking?" He asked as he pulled up a seat and accepted the glass.
"Aren't you a bit old to still be peeking at girls bathing?" I countered.
"Hmph, you just don't know the joys of my art." He snorted while enjoying his drink.
"Well it is your choice. Though I'm sure if you stopped being like that you might be able to start a proper family with one of them." I said while leaning back and enjoying the drink.
"Nah, to much trouble. I'll just enjoy all of the beauties and have fun."
We spent the rest of the day drinking and enjoying each others company. I liked how Jiraya was straightforward with me and treated me like just another one of the guys. Most of the people now either treated me with too much reverence for being hokage or treated me as a kid because of my age. It was nice to just joke around like that.
I made sure to take down Orochimaru's bounty before heading home, much to the confusion of others. Their questions were answered however when Orochimaru was officially announced as the kage for the sound village and that they had made an alliance with the leaf village. The sound lord also officially apologized to the other lords concerning the previous actions of Orochimaru and promised that if such things happened again he would kill himself to apologize. It was a very serious thing since he swore to the heavens and the earth.
While the reputation that Orochimaru had made it difficult for others to believe in him I knew that he would over time create a proper image for himself and his village.
