It took a month before I went to the sound village to both sign the alliance treaty and to go over Orochimaru's research. He had to go to a ridiculous amount of hidden labs to get it all.
Sauske also went with me and was left afterwards with Orochimaru to train and become a sage of sorts himself.
I did learn a bit from Orochimaru's research and I corrected numerous mistakes that were made. Every time I would hand him a fixed document he would let out excited cries of happiness. I also got to meet with his experimental subjects and healed the ones I could while giving a treatment plan for those longer term patients. There were a few that were unable to be healed and they had already accepted their fate and just thanked me for giving them a happier death then what was originally going to happen to them.
Orochimaru was happy from all of the new data he had and thanked me repeatedly before allowing me to leave. Sauske was nearly in shock since from his experience and knowledge of Orochimaru he was nothing like the guy in front of him. Then again I don't think Sauske can truly appreciate how much of a jutsu junkie Orochimaru is. I basically just gave him the highest quality jutsus and he finally got his fix.
After half a year I had to bring Sauske back since I had received three pieces of news.
The first piece of news was the death of Nagato who had been caught by Zetsu releasing the tailed beasts. The area where they had been was turned into a wasteland full of craters from the battle. Konan had sent me the message and told me that I was right, Tobi was in fact Obito and he was actually delusional from being tricked and brainwashed by Zetsu. They had taken Nagato's body to probably do exactly what I had told her they would do.
The second message was that the kage summit had been called to speak about what would be done concerning the Akatsuki. I would need to go to the summit to represent Konoha as the hokage.
The third message and the one that had made it necessary for me to call back Sauske was that Itachi was going to die soon from an illness that affected both his blood and chakra coils.
He had arrived two days after his letter and I had checked him over before realizing that there was no way to remove the illness from his body. He had decided to spend his last days in his childhood home. I kept it quiet so that he wouldn't be bothered to much by others and had Tsunade and Shizune check up on him. He also played with my kids who seemed to like him. He was a pretty caring guy even if he did look super serious all the time.
Kisame was with him as well and I found it hilarious how he was treated by my kids. He was beyond awkward and he became frightened by them when his sword was accidentally grabbed by Aro.
Normally the sword would try to bite at anyone who grabbed it other than its wielder and it would then try to eat them for their chakra, the thing that scared Kisame was that when the sword bit at Aro he punched it and knocked it back before going forward and biting the sword. The sword actually let out a sound of pain before starting to shrink a bit before Aro let it go and let out a burp. After that the sword would actively flee whenever Aro or one of the kids went near it. Kisame would also react the same as his sword and was terrified by the kids. I'm not sure if it is something from me being partners with demon wolves that made them able to do that or whether Aro was just special like that, but I thought it was not only hilarious, but it could also be very helpful for him in the future.
Sauske arrived after a week and let me know that Kabuto had taken some of Orochimaru's DNA and Maada's DNA before running off. It was apparently because he disagreed with the new way Orochimaru was running things. He had been helping Orochimaru with experiments and knew most of his data so he was now a big risk. Not as big as Orochimaru could be since he didn't have the same thinking and knowledge, but dangerous none the less.
Sauske also gave me a letter from Orochimaru with the place where Deidara stayed at for the moment. I left soon after I brought Sauske to Itachi.
I had already talked with Itachi and Kisame. Kisame was only there for Itachi and when he died Kisame would go back to Akatsuki since that was where he belonged now.
Itachi thanked me for everything I had done and I just gave him a smile before telling him I would see him in the next life before I left. I already knew I would be paying karma to bring this guy with me.
I quickly left with the twins to go to where Deidara was and found him walking out of a building made of clay.
I decided that I really didn't want to deal with his crap and ran in front of him and stabbed my hand into his chest. He turned into clay before coming out of a wall on his house and saying. "What, not even a greeting?"
"Nope." I told him with a smile before jumping backwards before his clay clone exploded. I then went towards him again and threw a fire jutsu and a lightning jutsu at him one after another and watched as he dodged to the side. The two jutsus hit his house and caused it to explode before a number of smaller explosions happened from the inside in a chain reaction.
"Do you have any idea how long it took for me to build that?" Deidara asked in anger. "You not only blew up my house, but you also destroyed my projects. I didn't even get to see them explode properly."
"Your art is shit and isn't worth the clay you make it out of." I mocked his art and caused him to instantly become pissed.
"Like a talentless hack such as you knows anything about art. My explosions are the greatest form of art." Deidara yelled at me as he tossed out clay animals that ran towards me before exploding once I used a fire wall jutsu.
I had to jump to dodge the clay centipedes that came out of the ground beneath me and threw another fire jutsu at the birds he sent towards me while in the air. I landed on the ground and rolled while clay animals continued to rush me.
"Art is meant to be shown to others to express itself and propagate among the people so that it can spread far and wide. Your art kills anyone who sees it. Your art is a failure as art and is thus crap. You fail as an artist." I yelled at Deidara before using a lightning jutsu to spread along the ground in front of me and destroy all of the clay creatures.
"Shut up you hack." Deidara yelled again and began to knead clay in his hand. "My art is spread by word of mouth and is only meant to exist in a single moment, it is not meant to exist only as a piece in an exhibit where it will never truly shine. Someone who lacks creativity such as yourself could never understand true art. I can tell from your jutsus that you are completely unoriginal". He then threw a bird at me that followed me even when I dodged and eventually ran into me before exploding. The explosion was a lot more powerful this time compared to the earlier animals.
"That is where you are wrong." I told Deidara from behind him. "Allow me to show you the true highest form of art."
Deidara snorted before reaching for his bag only to stop as he noticed a small vine coming out from his robe next to his arm. "What is this?" He asked before a searing pain started all over his body.
He screamed out and ripped open his robe to show the clothing underneath, which had vines wriggling all over his body and looking like leeches.
"Those are the newest form of vines I have created. They burrow into their victim and spread throughout the bodies veins and nerves. After a bit you will begin to notice how the pain slowly stops as they take over enough of your nerves to release the potent numbing juices they have."
Deidara kept trying to rip off the vines and had even tried bombing himself to destroy them, but they kept on burrowing into him until he had stopped screaming.
"The next part is when they have taken over enough of the bodies veins and nerves. They will release small seeds the size of a blood cell into the body. These seeds will immediately start growing and releasing a special toxin into the blood."
I continued speaking as Deidara slowly sank to his knees and stared at me blankly. I knew he could still hear me as he twitched whenever I spoke.
"This toxin will cause a person to slowly lose their sense of crisis and fear as it causes the pleasure center of the brain to become active. After a little bit the victim will lose their sense of danger and will only sit there as they feel nothing but pleasure of the greatest kind. It will even cause the person to feel as if they are completely satisfied with their life. The seeds will continue to feed and spread until every part of the victim has these vines in them. The vines will eventually kill the victim by absorbing every last bit of the victim until not even the clothes they are wearing are left. The victim will of course not even try to fight it since they will be feeling happy even as they die. It is the most joyful death in existence and is the ultimate form of art." I told Deidara who had a happy smile on his face.
I then turned around and walked away only to hear a whoosh behind me and turned around again to see Obito grab Deidara's shoulder and absorb him into his space.
"I forgot to mention that they are also highly contagious." I said with a smile as I watched a couple vines latch onto his hand.
"Shit." He said before using his kunai to cut off his hand and jump away from it.
"What terrible language Obito, what would Rin say if she heard you saying such things? I said mockingly.
"Keep her name out of your mouth." He growled at me.
"When you are working to fulfill the plans of the guys who put her in the situation that caused her death, I have more right to say her name then you do." I scoffed at him.
"Lies, I watched her die myself at the hands of Kakashi."
"Yes, and that was because she had no other choice than to die there by him or to die in the village when the people who put the tailed beast in her caused it to break out of her and cause countless of innocent deaths. She chose to sacrifice herself to save others and you spit on her memory by helping the bastards that caused her to die in the first place." I turned my face and spit on the ground. "I have seen the story while you have only seen what you have shown and been led to believe. You really think that you were there to witness her death by chance, that it was all a coincidence that you were brought there at the exact moment to witness Kakashi killing her. Get real and get over yourself. You were obviously shown that exact moment to make you do what they wanted and it worked perfectly."
"Those are all lies." Obito shouted before rushing me and attacking me. I felt him try to use genjutsu on me as he threw explosive tags at me. I dodged them after resisting his genjutsu and kicked at his face only to phase through him.
Right, he has that phasing bull crap.
I then activate the brass knuckles I had in my pocket and punch him in the face. I got to see his shocked face after his mask shattered and he dropped the kunai he was about to stab me with.
"How?" He asked before getting hit in the stomach with my other fist and causing him to double over.
"I just told you that I've seen the story, did you really think you can hide anything from me? You really think that I don't know about the ten tails and how you are being tricked into summoning Zetsu's parasitic creator? He is using you just as he used Madara, he is lying to you and the infinite tsukiomi won't make the world into a peaceful paradise. All it will do is to release his creator who will take control of the ten tails and try to devour everything living in this world."
No way was I going to tell him that I was using a Fuinjutsu seal carved into the weapon to cause his dimension and the seals to clash and drag him back to this dimension so I could punch him.
Obito just glared at me until I sighed and punched him in the face causing him to hit the ground face first and start to run using his space ability.
Before he left I said. "You can only lie to yourself for so long."
He vanished after that and I went back home.
When I reached the village I found out that Itachi had passed away and been cremated.
Sauske was depressed and had decided to try and work through it by going back to Orochimaru's to continue training. I also found out that his eyes had evolved after seeing his brother die. Sauske also now had a final target for revenge in Obito since Itachi had told him about the truth behind the Uchia massacre.
Kisame had left back to Akatsuki the very night after Itachi was cremated.
I finally had time to myself for a change and spent it just thinking about how things had changed and how the final battle would play out.
Once I had it thought out I started making my plans and working on all of them. I also started making plans for after the war. Even if I died during the war somehow, I wanted to make sure things went in a good direction. I also wrote a will and left it in the top right desk drawer.
I did all of my preparations and had Lo help out with making a few things for me. By the time I was finished it was time to leave for the kage summit.
