I soon found Emmet with Jasper in the game room Emmet had set up.
"Hey Alex, what's up?" He greeted me. Jasper just nodded to me before turning back to the video game he was playing.
"Nothing much, just decided to come hang out while everyone else does the whole baby craze stuff."
"Yeah, they've been at it since they found out Bella was pregnant. You should have seen how protective Rose became, she just about attacked Edward when he was freaking out and mentioned abortion. Poor guy just about lost his arms and legs." Emmet said with a small smile and shook his head in mock disappointment.
"Yeah, he is the kind of guy with enough insecurities to think that would be a good idea to even think around here. I just hope that I was able to help him and Bella relax a bit."
"From what I heard you gave them everything they will need to know and more." Jasper said without looking away from his screen.
"Though I do have to say that Alexander the great is a terrible baby name." Emmet laughed while Jasper snickered.
"Hey, I don't see you two coming up with anything better." I pouted at them.
"That's because we don't want to get murdered by the girls. Can you imagine how much hell we would be in for if Bella and Edward actually did use the name we came up with. A decade of blue balls at least." Emmet shuddered in horror.
"Speaking of blue balls, how long were you planning to have sex with Tanya in the great outdoors?" Emmet asked with a smirk.
"However long it took to reach the house." I answered with an equal smirk.
"I think you guys went at it literally everywhere in the mountain range other than your house. I also have to ask, how in the world did you manage to have sex in the sky?" Emmet asked with a look of curiosity.
"With a lot of very careful maneuvering." I said with a wide smile. "Though I think the car that got my cum shot on their windshield might have crashed."
"It didn't, but Rose is really not happy about that since she had to clean that off and doesn't want to drive that car anymore since it apparently makes her have bad memories." Emmet laughed.
"Sorry Rose." I called out only to hear a low growl in reply.
We guys all laughed at that.
After that we decided to play video games for however long we wanted.
Carlisle went out to get blood for Bella to drink and some for after the baby was born. Jasper was uncomfortable with the smell and would go out for hunts regularly.
We had visits from various people due to my interference.
The first people to visit was the rest of the Denali coven who came down to visit since Tanya called them to let them know what was going on. I told her about what had happened in the book when Irina had seen the child and thought it was an immortal child. We both didn't want that to happen and made sure to get all of them here to see Bella being pregnant.
The next group to visit was the Volturi. I was a little worried about it because of the way they were in the series, but it turned out to be nothing much. Aro, Caius, and Marcus all came with twenty of their guards to come and visit after hunting down the vampire in South
America. Aro was rather curious about hybrid children.
Carlisle was surprised and almost freaked out, but I calmed him down by greeting them and talking about their reason for visiting.
Aro told me that they had already made plans to visit me to thank me for the blood I had sent as well as the information on Joham and the hybrids.
Carlisle was shocked to hear about me doing those things, but he also accepted them.
I made some small talk and Aro asked if he could meet with Bella and stay to see the birthing process since he would like to know about it in case they ever run into such a situation again.
Carlisle looked like he wanted to say no, but you really can't say no when the Volturi ask for something, at least not without some sort of troubles in the future.
Aro and the other two were led into the living room where they greeted Bella and Edward while giving them their congratulations over their soon to be child and their wedding. Aro gave Bella a necklace as a present and went back outside. Carlisle and I talked to them about the birthing procedures and how we were going to set things up.
It was at this time that Jacob showed up with Seth.
Oh shit. I muttered before having to pause time to grab Jacob and Seth and run them to my house. I left a note for them to wait until I bring them back since the Volturi were currently visiting and would most definitely need to meet with them. The only reason why I had to pause time and run with them was because every last member of the Volturi guard had jumped at the two shifters like a wave of death.
I returned back to where I was before and sighed out as time went back to normal.
"Where did the children of the moon go?" Caius all, but screamed out in a rage.
"They aren't children of the moon Caius." I said calmly causing him and Aro to turn to me in shock.
"They certainly smelled like children of the moon to me." Caius said with irritation.
"They are able to transform into wolves, but they are very different compared to the children of the moon." I said to him with a frown.
"Do tell Alex." Aro said with a smile. "After all it is against our laws to protect or fraternize with any of the children of the moon."
"Well to start with they can shift whenever they wish and are in complete control when they do shift. They do not become mindless beasts when they change and can still think the same way humans do. Unlike the children of the moon they are weaker individually than a vampire and require multiple wolves to defeat even one vampire. Their bite is not poisonous to us and is no more dangerous than a vampire's bite. They are born with the genes to become wolves and can not make new wolves through biting others. They must be born and raised and not just bitten. Until the gene activates while in the prescence of a vampire they do not have any differences compare with humans."
"The final part that is different from the children of the moon and these wolves is that they are able to make and follow a treaty and also live in secret from the humans. They therefore uphold the secrecy of our race since they would themselves be ousted if they tried to tell people."
"I see, they are certainly interesting. Though how did they disappear?" Aro asked while looking around.
"I used my speed to remove them from the area since it seemed that they would die before I had time to explain what they were. Not that I blame your guard for doing what they believed to be correct. I just wanted to explain before it became an unreversible situation."
"That is quite the interesting ability you have there Alex." Aro said with a smile.
"I'll go bring back the shifters if you want to question them." I said with as steady a voice as I could. Aro was creepy as usual and was definitely thinking about how to get me to join his guard.
"Yes, please do so." Caius said to me with a frown. "I would like to question these shifters."
I then froze time and ran back to my house where Jacob was pacing back and forth and Seth was sitting in a chair while looking like he was dying.
"Okay, so the leaders of the Volturi want to meet with you both and as it stands it is the same as meeting with the president. If that president had the ability to nuke the entire area and already had a serious level of paranoia."
"We have a very serious problem Alex." Jacob said with a look of terror. "When I went to the pack and explained about what was going on Sam decided that we needed to kill Bella and the baby before it was born since a child with the abilities of a vampire and the impulses of a baby would kill everyone in the area. I left the pack along with Seth since we weren't willing to follow that order, but that means that Sam will be going in to kill Bella and anyone in his way."
"Oh shit." I said while putting my hand against my head. "I'll be back in a second." I paused time and ran out of the house and went to find Sam and the others in his pack. I ran around the area near the Cullens house to see if there was any other wolves nearby and I found a single wolf heading in the direction of the Cullens house.
I knew it was Leah since I checked to see if she had a penis and took her to my house and left her outside. Leah was alright in the books. She always acted kind of pissed off, but if your boyfriend suddenly broke up with you and started to date your cousin and best friend you would be kind of pissy too. Not to mention she was constantly forced to hear about how happy they were and couldn't even do anything about it.
I then continued on towards the direction she was coming from and ran into more wolves. I took all of the wolves back to La Push and proceeded to break their legs and arms and used rope I found lying around the lumber yard to tie their mouths shut. I shaved all of them completely bald and I then made a sign and left it in front of Sam. The sign said that if him and his pack come within 20 miles of the Cullen house within the next four months I would personally neuter and spay every single last member of his pack since killing a defenseless woman and her unborn baby because he was worried about a potential and unproven issue is something that not even animals would do.
I left them all lying on the ground in the forest just outside of the village.
I ran back to the house and let time resume. Leah freaked out from suddenly teleporting somewhere unfamiliar until she saw Seth and Jacob come out.
I waved to her and said. "Welcome to my house Leah. Make yourself at home for the moment. I need to take these two to meet with the Volturi before they think I'm stalling and decide to start killing every shifter in the area." I tried to sound as upbeat as I could to make it sound a little less dangerous, but maybe that wasn't the best way to tell someone about a potential slaughter of all their loved ones.
I grabbed both Seth and Jacob before going back to the Cullen house and put them down. I let time resume and said to them while Aro and Caius eyed them curiously. "Now remember to be respectful and don't do something embarrassing."
"So you two are the shifters Alex has told us about." Aro said with his smile that wasn't a smile. "Alex had high praises and we simply wish to verify whether he was speaking the truth."
Jacob and Seth looked back at me and I gave a small nod.
"Well uh, okay then. May we ask what you had in mind?" Jacob asked with awkward politeness.
"Alex said that you can shift at will. Show me." Caius demanded while glaring at all three of us. I was sure that if he thought I had lied to him about anything we would be having a seriously bad day ahead of us.
Jacob bristled a bit at that, but he held back his comments. He stripped down with Seth following suit and shifted into wolves.
"Hm, so they really aren't limited to the moon". Caius said while looking at them. He was still a little hostile, but it was a lot less then he was before. "They also have the proper proportions for an actual wolf instead of the proportions of the ones I fought before. They really are different species." He nodded before Aro took over.
"Alex told me that when you are in this form you are still in full control of all your cognitive functions. Is it alright if I ask you some questions while you are in this form?"
Jacob nodded while looking at him.
"Okay, well the first question is." Aro began asking various questions, some of which were more deep thinking than an actual question and required Jacob and Seth to switch back to give the answer. The last question he asked though was something that worried me a bit.
"So I want to know if you happen to know about if Alex has anything that he has kept secret from me?"
Jacob thought for a bit before shrugging his shoulders. He didn't know what I had told him, so it technically wasn't a lie. For all he knew Aro was someone who I told all of my most personal and darkest secrets.
"I think I rather like this wolf". Aro said with a smile that was actually rather genuine. "He is quite the honest fellow. Any chance you would like to come work for me." Aro asked Jacob. Jacob shook his head before turning back to his human form.
"Sorry your lord, or whatever title you have, I never was told what to call you, but this is my home and while I can still speak with vampires normally it is rather unpleasant since the smell we get from vampires is probably as bad as the smell you get from us. So thank you for the offer, but we would rather just stay here in peace."
"That is rather disheartening, but I can understand not wanting to leave one's home, especially when one is as young as you are. Maybe in the future then. If you ever change your mind you can reach out to us through any of the covens."
"So are we free to go then?" Jacob asked while trying to keep his voice from exposing how badly he wanted to run away.
"I don't see any reason why not." Aro said with a smile. "You Caius?"
"They seem fine, but if they break the laws or try to go against us I will wipe out these shifters the same as how I wiped out the children of the moon." Caius said with a glare. "I also agree that they smell rather unpleasant and would prefer it if they did not come to our home."
"Um, well bye then." Jacob said before running to the tree line with Seth and phasing mid jump to run away.
"It is quite funny seeing that boy be so nervous. I wonder what you told him Alex?" Aro said with his smile. I swear he only had like two expressions.
"I told him that they needed to be on their best behavior and to behave appropriately since if they acted out you could order the complete destruction of their entire village and that even the whole pack wouldn't be able to stop you and your guards." I said honestly, or at least that was what I had thought I had implied.
"That was very thoughtful of you. Also you are right that we could wipe them out if we wished. I have always been more peaceful in my way of handling situations compared to Caius's war like nature. So they shouldn't worry too much about anything so long as they do not become problematic to us."
"That is good to hear Aro. I will make sure to let them know later how lucky they are. I do have some small requests for you all your time here, if you would be so willing." I said with a smile.
"Oh, and what might those be?" Aro asked curiously. I don't think I will ever know he is angry about something until he has ripped my head off with how little of his real emotions show.
"Well the first request is that nobody feeds from any of the humans within 100 miles of here so that it will keep the humans unaware of our presence here. If need be I have a thousand bottles of my blood wine that I have been experimenting with. Not that it will be necessary since it seems that Bella is going to be ready to give birth in the next few days."
"That is fine, I liked the novel taste of the blood you sent us last time and I am sure that nobody wishes to trouble our hosts by drawing undue attention to them while we visit."
"The second request is that only Marcus, Caius, or you be in the room during the birthing procedure. It isn't a large room and I feel that it would cause unnecessary stress on Bella if there is a bunch of people in the room all at once during such a trying time for her."
"That is once again a very valid request. I too do not wish to cause stress on a woman in the middle of childbirth, especially a childbirth as momentous and miraculous as this one is."
"The last request is that nobody gets upset if I have to move them during the childbirth. There will be a great deal of blood and if I found that anyone were to attempt to feed from Bella while I am in the middle of the procedure I will have to move them far away so that they won't interfere with the procedure and cause Bella to die before we can start the change in her. This would also have to include yourselves as well as your guards."
"That request is reasonable, but is also a little bit difficult. While it would be fine to move our guard if need be we can not be left without our protection since we do have a number of enemies who would very much look for such a chance to attack us."
"Would it be fine that if I did need to move any of you I also moved you with a portion of your guards."
"That would indeed be fine." Aro nodded and Caius also looked at me and gave a small nod. Marcus just did his own thing, I'm pretty sure he couldn't care less if I dropped him in an active volcano. The guy would probably just thank me for ending him.
"Do you have any other requests of us Alex?" Aro asked politely. He was probably reaching the end of his patience with my requests, even if those requests were all reasonable.
"Nope, those were my only concerns for the moment. If I should come across anything new I will make sure to discuss them with you." I said with a smile. "Did you have anything to add Carlisle?" I asked him.
Carlisle had come out of the house when I had started to discuss my requests and had simply stood to the side.
"No, I do believe you covered everything accurately and even a few things I wouldn't have thought of myself." Carlisle nodded to me.
"Then it is all settled for now." Aro clapped his hands. "Oh yes, I almost forgot. I was wondering if you had any interest in joining our guard Alex?"
"Thank you for the offer Aro, but I will have to decline for now. I am currently working on a few research projects that I would like to finish, such as my blood wine. I have also recently found my mate and plan to spend a few decades traveling with her and enjoying each others company."
"What a joyous thing. You have found a mate." Aro clapped his hands and even Marcus had a small smile. "I am surprised that she is not with you right now since vampires usually find it unbearable to be apart so soon after they have bonded."
"If it wasn't for such a serious situation as this I doubt we would have separated for a while yet. My mate is currently with the other ladies here to help plan for the baby."
"That is truly a wonderful thing to do. I'm sure Jane will be sad to learn of your finding of a mate since I am sure she was looking forward to having her own fun with you."
"I wouldn't worry about that too much. My mate is very open to the idea of extra partners so long as I remember that she is my mate and gets put first." I chuckled a bit.
"Oh, that will be quite the interesting conversation to be sure." Aro and Caius also chuckled while Carlisle just put his face in his hands in embarrassment.
I had heard about how the royals in the Rome of the past used to have orgies, but seeing people who had obviously been a part of those sort of things was pretty refreshing. They were obviously happy to see the open sexuality that had been a part of their past starting to return in this day and age. Probably caused a bit of nostalgia for them.
