Shanks et Buggy... Lorsque les deux camarades de bordée se retrouvent après s'être perdus de vue durant plus de vingt ans, le choc est grand. L'un est un simple pirate, l'autre un empereur flibustier du Nouveau Monde et, pourtant, le plus envieux de l'autre n'est pas forcément celui auquel on pense... T car vocabulaire et narration un peu complexes pour des lecteurs trop jeunes.

Être orpheline est quelque chose de particulièrement difficile à vivre. Même lorsque vous êtes élevée par un frère de quinze ans votre aîné qui vous adore. À plus forte raison lorsque le frère en question n'est autre que le célèbre et séduisant Arlong, au sujet duquel vos copines se permettent des questions et des réflexions pour le moins... gênantes !

À la mort de Roger, Rayleigh, qui se sent le devoir moral de surveiller Shanks et Buggy jusqu'à ce qu'ils deviennent des hommes capables d'agir et de se débrouiller par eux-mêmes, impose une rencontre annuelle aux garçons, le jour anniversaire de l'exécution du roi des pirates. La dernière ne se passe pas aussi bien que prévu... T car vocabulaire et thèmes abordés un peu complexes.

Une question me turlupine depuis quelque temps : à quoi pensait la reine des travelos, Ivankov, lorsqu'elle a menacé Crocodile, à Impel Down, de "dévoiler son sale petit secret" si jamais il ne se tenait pas à carreau ? J'ai peut-être bien une idée... T car vocabulaire, thèmes abordés et narration un peu complexes pour des lecteurs trop jeunes.

Les grands fauves le savent bien : les proies les plus aisées à tuer sont les plus jeunes du troupeau et les adultes blessés. Et hélas pour Buggy et Shanks, moussaillons sur l'Oro Jackson, la Marine le sait aussi... T car vocabulaire et narration un peu complexes pour des lecteurs trop jeunes.

Dans la longue fanfic "L'histoire oubliée", écrite avec mon amie Shiva Rajah, j'ai pris un malin plaisir à rapprocher Arlong et Robin parce que je trouve qu'ils forment un couple quasi-parfait ! Ce texte est une sorte de spin-off de cette fanfic. T car vocabulaire et narration un peu complexes pour des lecteurs trop jeunes.
