"WOLVES," PIPER SAID…"We'll protect you."

"She won't like that." Percy said in a sing song voice. Piper nodded in agreement.

"Sorry, Piper but you've got hypothermia. You need some rest." Jason said, a little apologetically. Piper sighed.

She gritted her teeth…a little protection is fine.

A few chuckles.

More wolves edged into…said something in Latin.

"That might have some effect but I doubt that they're going to give up that easily." Demeter shook her head.

"Even the barest effect might be useful." Jason said

Piper didn't think a dead…blocking the cave exit.

"Oh wonderful." Leo sighed.

The coach hefted his club…you or anyone else behind."

Everybody nodded.

"Better as a team." Annabeth nodded.

Piper got a lump in her…sign that said free lunch.

"The trick is to not show your fear and to stay calm." Percy said with a wink.

"And how can we do that when we're freaking out?" Piper asked her friend with a raised eyebrow.

"Talk. Or breathe deeply if you don't want to talk. Don't ramble. Show a confident face. Keep your face neutral." Percy said, ticking the things off his fingers.

"Right. Thank you prof." Leo said with a small grin.

"Well you're welcome child." Percy grinned. A few chuckles.

The wolves parted…Jason with absolute hatred.

"Lycaon." Zeus growled.

"The werewolf?" Piper asked tentatively. Artemis nodded at her. Jason, Leo and Piper sighed.

"That was what we needed. To run into werewolves." Jason said

"Didn't you say that you heard wolves when Hera was talking to you in your dream? She said they were her keepers or something. They're probably here to stop your quest." Percy said

"So werewolf keepers. Does not sound fun." Leo said.

"Ecce,"he said…Or he'll be my first snack.

Clarisse growled.

Piper remembered that faun…And my pack is hungry."

"Oh well. You've come to wrong place for food. We're not getting eaten by you." Leo scoffed. Jason and Piper nodded.

The wolves snarled…he wasn't a tofu fan.

"That sucks." Leo said

If I had my way,"… "For good reason!"

"Exactly." Zeus scowled.

Jason glanced over his…feed him human flesh.

"That's the worst way to check if a god is actually a god." Percy deadpanned

"One of them. There are many other stupid ways." Nico pointed out.

"True. But this definitely falls in the top of the list of 'worst methods to check if a god is a god'." Percy said

Zeus got outraged —"

"To be honest, that makes sense. Anybody would be pissed off." Thalia said. Zeus nodded.

"And killed my sons!"…behind him howled too.

"Well, I don't think he deserved children. I mean who knows if would've pulled a 'Tantalus'?" Katie said

"Oh that story was equally bad. Maybe even worse because it involved multiple gods." Castor grimaced.

The gods shook their head in disgust at the two stories.

"So Zeus turned him into…smelly, vicious mutt."

"Why immortal. Should've just killed him there and then." Jason sighed.

"Death was probably an easy punishment, I guess." Frank said

"That might have been so but the fields of punishment wouldn't have been fun. Especially not for him." Nico said, with a dark look on his face and an evil smirk. Hades nodded in agreement.

Lycaon growled…'Cause I'll give you goat."

"Man, coach is a mood." Leo said with a light chuckle. Everybody nodded.

"Sadly, Child of Rome…must've survived the explosion

"Nope. There's no way that Medea could've survived and she was definitely no admirer of Jason and nor did he make an impression on her." Aphrodite shook her head.

"The only other villainess in my life apart from Gaia is Khione at that time." Jason said

"Then that's her." Apollo paled. A realization struck some of the gods regarding Khione and charmspeak but they decided not to say anything unless it was confirmed.

Piper struggled to her feet…have looked very threatening.

Aphrodite winced in pain and shivered.

Lycaon's red eyes crinkled…have any silver!" Jason said

Everybody swore at that.

"Now would be a good time for us to show up." Thalia muttered anxiously.

Jason nodded.

Wolves leaped into the firelight…wave of fire from his hands

"Good job Leo!" Beckendorf grinned at his brother who looked pleased.

But each effort seemed to make…already dying down

Hephaestus felt some of his stamina drain.

"I can't summon any more gas!"…I mean the burning kind.

There were a few snickers. Leo was red.

"It happens." Connor said sympathetically with a small grin.

"Awkward." Percy said with a light snicker. Leo nodded and grinned sheepishly, though his face was still red.

Gonna take the tool belt…will have none from me."

Zeus growled.

The flames began to sputter…ready to go hand-to-hand

"Trained by wolves, fight like one eh?" Frank grinned at Jason.

"Last choice. No retractable fangs though." He said. There were a few chuckles.

"A good growl might help." Percy said helpfully.

"I doubt. They're wolves. They have howls and growls too unfortunately." Jason sighed.

Leo pulled his hammer…More wolves fell.

"Thalia. Right on time. As usual." Percy smiled. Thalia smiled at him a little sadly, knowing that that's what she said to the Zoe at Westover.

Artemis nodded proudly at her lieutenant.

"Thanks sis." Jason said. Piper and Leo nodded. Thalia grinned.

"Wasn't going to let one of my annoying little brothers die." She said. Jason grinned at her.

The pack broke in confusion…king caught it in midair.

"Damn but unfortunately for you, it's silver." Thalia smirked.

Then he yelled in pain…the wolf king staggered.

Artemis and Thalia smirked. Reyna grinned.

"Curse them!" Lycaon yelled…Hedge said, "Kill it?"

"No!" Artemis scowled.

"No!" Piper said… No one got bit?"

"Luckily not." Jason said. Everybody nodded vigorously.

Jason stood frozen…The girl tensed.

"Okay Piper, that would be creepy. I mean I never met you and then you just go like 'you're Thalia'." Thalia said with a small smile. Piper grinned at her.

"Well then the answer you can think of is 'skills'." Piper said

"Nah. I'd figure it out." Thalia laughed good naturedly. Piper grinned again.

Piper was afraid she might…"I'm Jason, your brother."

"Yeah, so that's about as direct as I could be." Jason said. Thalia nodded.

"Glad that you were direct." She said with smile.

"Done with the chapter." Grover said

"My turn." Percy sighed. Grover tossed him the book.
