When Jason's lance broke, he knew he was dead

"Oh gods." Thalia whimpered

Jason winced.

The battle had started well…down the giant's clawed foot.

Everybody nodded. There were a few cheers and whistles but most of the people were worried and on the edge. Thalia held Jason's hand so tightly that he was sure that his fingers were going to hurt afterwards but he didn't say anything.

Enceladus bellowed in pain…afford to get distracted

"Yeah, we'll manage." Piper said

"Don't worry about us right now." Leo agreed.

Enceladus's spear missed him by a millimeter.

Thalia and Zeus took sharp breaths and Hera took a relatively relived one that the spear had missed and not touched Jason.

Jason was kind of pale by now.

Jason kept dodging…born to destroy gods!

"We heard that!" The demigods shouted.

"Yes, we know you were born to destroy the gods. You told us. You even told us that you're Lady Athena's bane. Thanks for the autobiography." Percy said. Athena raised an eyebrow at finally being called 'Lady Athena'. The demigods snickered and the gods gave a few chuckles.

Your little gold toothpick…He was already tired.

Hera and Zeus sagged a little as they felt the weariness of Jason.

The ground clung to his feet…approaching the heat of an oven.

The two of them started sweating now.

"Ooh that's a very hot temperature." Leo grimaced.

Jason raised his javelin...his arm went numb.

"Oh yeah that feeling sucks." Percy grimaced, remembering when his shoulder got grazed by the scythe.

Zeus and Hera gave a few shouts of pain and held onto their arms as they practically felt nothing there due to the numbness.

He backed up…toppled the black throne."

There were a few whistles and cheers.

"Good one, cousin." Percy grinned at Jason who grinned back.

"You fought Kronos. Like thrice almost. Maybe more." He said. Percy sighed.

"Yeah I did but Krios is a titan as well. Kronos is just-" Percy started but then paused as his eyes went wide.

"Damn. Damn. Damn." He swore repeatedly. He got up and opened the glass door and ran outside, closing the door behind him.

"Percy!" The sea gang and Annabeth called out in a bit of panic. The others looked concerned and worried as well.

"What just happened? He's getting drenched out there!" Hermes said, worry for his cousin, evident in his voice. Poseidon got up and rushed outside as well.

"Now both of them are getting drenched." Hermes said, throwing his hands up. The two of them returned inside a few moments later.

"I'm sorry. I just-I don't know-I just kind of got this thought-it's a huge thing not a small one and I just kind of got overwhelmed because I never thought that this could happen." Percy said with the confused emotions, visible on his face.

"What thought?" Annabeth asked gently.

"I-I-I think that I might have figured out a way to stop this war, prevent the final battle of Manhattan from happening, defeat Kronos but not raise the giants and maybe save the demigods who died brainwashed on Kronos' side." Percy said, looking up at everybody with wide eyes. There was some water dripping off his hair which made it even more ominous. The rest of him and Poseidon was dry though.

"What?" The demigods asked in shock. Some of the gods and demigods were openmouthed and stunned. Percy nodded with a small smile.

"That's brilliant!" Poseidon said, his face breaking into a grin.

"We're talking about this in the break." Chris stated. Everybody nodded. Clarisse decided to continue so that they could get the chapter over with and talk about whatever Percy had thought of.

Jason's mind reeled…choking as he tried to breathe.

This time, Hera and Zeus gave relatively louder shouts of pain. Will and Apollo went to them.

"Yikes. Just like Jason said. Blisters and ash and all. Its hard to breathe as well." Apollo said as Zeus and Hera were coughing as they tried to breathe.

"Maybe we should read. It'll go away once this part is over with." Will suggested. Apollo nodded. Clarisse continued reading quickly.

He scrambled back…Jason managed to stand.

"Right. They're fine now." Apollo said and nodded. Zeus and Hera took in some deep breaths but still felt the extreme weariness that Jason was feeling.

If he could only summon one…real comforting, Jason thought

The Romans sighed.

"Yeah. That's one of the main lessons you get. Death in battle is honorable." Frank sighed.

The Greeks grimaced and shot Chiron grateful looks.

One last try: Jason took…earth were helping him move

"WHAT?!" Some of the demigods shouted.

"You've got to be kidding me." Silena groaned.

"How did he anticipate that?" Chris said

"Bane of mother." Annabeth said grimly. "Not just wisdom but the strategic side as well." She said. Athena nodded. Jason, Piper and Leo paled even more and there were a few more groans.

He swept his spear sideways…golden weapon shattered.

"No!" Thalia shouted.

"He doesn't have a weapon." Nico said worriedly.

"So now I'm supposed to fight two giants without a weapon and I can't summon more lightning." Jason sighed.

"Maybe you could do one more bolt." Thalia said

"I highly doubt that I could summon a bolt of lightning without dying or passing out and then getting killed by Enceladus." Jason shook his head. Everybody winced.

The explosion was hotter…breath out of him.

Hera and Zeus winced in pain and tried to breathe which was being quite hard.

When he regained his focus…his legs were like lead.

The demigods flinched and few gave groans. Everybody else looked tense. All the color had drained out of Leo, Piper and Jason's faces. Thalia tightened her grip on Jason's hand which he was grateful for even though it hurt a little.

Zeus and Hera groaned in pain and couldn't stand up either.

Enceladus blinked at the…"my first sacrifice to Gaea!"

"Jason!" Thalia yelled and pulled her brother into a tight hug. Zeus and Hera took deep breaths as they felt the effects of the curse go away. The effects of the curse were far from okay and were not pleasant to feel at all. They had some more respect and sympathy wash over for the demigods now.

"I'm sure he'd be alive. We're not going to let him die." Leo said. Jason gave him a small smile.

"Chapter's done." Clarisse said

"We got to talk." Annabeth said

"The chapter is kind of at a cliffhanger now." Travis pointed out

"Yes but we know that he most probably will survive." Leo said. Jason nodded.

"Okay then. So lets freshen up. Then we can all talk." Chiron nodded. Everybody got up, took an umbrella from the stand and left the glass cabin.
