BORROWING THE HELICOPTER…to explain the goat legs.

Nobody chuckled. They all knew that this was going to be extremely hard for Piper to see her dad just coming apart or just thinking of everything that happened to him.

It broke Piper's heart to see…she could stand to find out.

Piper gave a strangled sob. Jason held her close.

"Yeah, you don't want to find out." Castor shook his head, his expression troubled as he had a sort of weird feeling as he knew what the giant must have shown Piper's dad.

"You know what they did?" Piper asked him. Castor nodded hesitantly.

"I have a suspicion." He said. Dionysus looked at his son. He had a feeling as to what one of Castor's main domains were going to be once he was made a god.

Pollux raised an eyebrow at his brother questioningly. Castor leant over and said something in his ear. The color drained out of Pollux's face. He looked at Castor with wide eyes with an expression which asked 'Really?' Castor nodded grimly. Pollux swallowed. Chris looked at Castor and Castor told him and even Chris' color drained out of his face.

Piper decided that she really didn't want to know. If the color could drain out of Pollux's face who knew about madness and Chris's face who had experienced madness, then she didn't want to know what happened.

"It'll be okay, Dad,"… You're safe now."

"I think that might help in realizing where he is now but it won't be able to take away his trauma. The vial is your only choice. Especially if what Castor says is right." Chris said grimly.

Piper swallowed and rubbed a hand over her mouth.

Nico and Percy looked at each other with pained expressions, both of them remembering the time when the nightmares were going on after the therapy went wrong. They knew that maybe it wasn't the same thing as what Piper's dad was going through but even they didn't know the exact visions that their parents saw. They moved a little closer to Piper who was sitting next to them and Jason.

Thalia noticed her cousins' expressions, knowing exactly what they were thinking about. She sighed and looked at her uncles who had troubled expressions and she understood that even they had noticed Percy and Nico's non-verbal exchange. She sat in the middle of Nico and Percy and slung her arms across their shoulders. Percy and Nico smiled at her.

The gods realized that though the cousins would tease each other, the three of them were the closest and that no matter how much they tease each other, they would always have each others' back.

As nobody was saying anything, Triton decided to continue. He, like the others, wanted this chapter over as he felt disturbed as they read about Tristan McLean.

He blinked, and looked up…"Or heat exhaustion."

"That's a good reason. It can be easily bought seeing as there's a lot of smoke and fire at the mountain." Will nodded.

"We should get him to…Let's get going."

There were a few whistles and a few people gave impressed looks to Piper.

"That was good." Silena said with a small smile.

"But I don't like twisting people's minds." Piper shook her head.

"You don't always do it and it's not exactly for your benefit. Sometimes it is necessary. It's almost like a trick with the mist. You do it when it's necessary." Aphrodite told Piper who gave a small smile to her mother.

"Hey Perce, it never came up but did Chiron teach you to manipulate the mist?" Thalia asked. Percy nodded and smiled at Chiron who returned it.

"It's a little hard to get a hang off but I can do it sometimes now. He taught me when we were reading the heroes book. Right after the book about the battle of Manhattan." Percy said. Thalia whistled.

"You learnt it fast." She said with a smile.

"Like I said, I do have some difficulty with it. I haven't mastered it yet or anything. That's going to take some time and practice." He said. Thalia and Hazel nodded.

Jason raised his eyebrows…His trauma was just too deep.

Everybody winced or grimaced. Piper ran a hand through her hair.

Finally they got him on…She had to be strong for him.

Piper didn't have to be strong right now. She buried her face in her hands and shook as tears wracked her body. Aphrodite and Silena hugged her. Jason held her hand. Aphrodite felt on the edge as well due to all of Piper's emotions travelling through the curse.

Nico and Percy exchanged another set of glances. They wished that they could say something to Piper but they just weren't able to come up with something to say. Thalia squeezed their shoulders and they gave her small smiles.

"Piper, its going to be okay. After some time with the vial. I mean for you I'd suggest coffee but in such situations even coffee doesn't work. Think with your heart and relieve yourself of the emotions. Use whichever method works for you. Crying works for everybody and so does beating the crap out of a dummy. But it will be okay. I know you're worried more about your dad but he'll be all right. And so will you." Percy said. Nico nodded.

"What he said. And that you have a solution for it. I know it hurts to see your dad in that situation but just make him feel a bit more at home. Talk. About regular things and your life." Nico said with a small smile. Piper looked up and gave the two of them grateful smiles.

Poseidon and Hades looked at each other and pulled their kids in for a hug. The two demigods were taken by surprise and gave grunts of surprise. Thalia was sitting between them with her hands slung around their shoulders so she fell back when the two demigods were taken for hugs by the two gods. They gave apologetic looks to Thalia who chuckled. Everybody gave a few chuckles. Triton, Tyson and Amphitrite gave small smiles to Percy and Persephone and Hazel gave small smiles to Nico.

Triton continued after the two demigods were released from their parents' grips. Percy and Nico chuckled.

"Everything's going to be…reflecting a crazy kind of light.

The Dionysus gang and Chris winced.

"Oh that's not good." Pollux murmured.

"He needs that vial. I don't think that he will be able to accept the truth." Castor said in a hushed whisper. Dionysus nodded.

"They said you were a demigod…to forget how to exhale

Aphrodite sighed.

"What all did they show him, Castor?" Piper asked, her voice was strong even though it was a little hoarse. Castor looked troubled.

"Piper, it won't be good for you to know. It's not good. At all." He said.

Piper sighed and looked around, feeling a little helpless that she couldn't do anything about this right now.

"Piper, listen, if what we are planning works just as planned then your dad won't go through this at all. I know it sucks to even hear about it but it might help to know that he'll be fine this time around." Pollux said. Piper nodded and took a shaky breath.

Piper's friends were careful…mood to yell or boast.

Jason and Leo looked at each other with slightly pained expressions as they felt awful for Piper. They wished that they could help then but they knew that it was better if Piper handled it at first.

Tristan McLean wasn't…Now it was broken, gone.

Everybody grimaced again. Nobody was liking what they were hearing and none of them knew what to say.

"I didn't know about Mom,"… could change that.

"But it was for the best." Aphrodite sighed. Piper nodded.

"I get that." She said "But I couldn't tell him exactly what you said." She said. Aphrodite nodded.

But she didn't tell her dad…to the way things were?

"It will be hard but it will be better for both of you." Annabeth said gently. Piper wiped her eyes but nodded.

"Yeah." She agreed.

She held his hand…even sure he heard her.

"It's all right. He's getting more relaxed with you there and your familiar voice." Apollo said. Will nodded.

"He might not hear everything you say but your voice will still be there somewhere. That'll help." Will said.

As they passed over the hills…as unsettled as Piper's dad's.

Hera and Zeus felt Jason's troubled emotions wash over them and they grimaced a little.

"Almost the entry to camp." Dakota said with a small smile.

"Monsters," her dad said…I live in a world of monsters."

Everybody winced again.

"Chapter's done." Triton said in relief.

"How many are left?" Percy asked

"About 11 I think but not all of them are too long." Triton said.

"Still quite a bit. We'll take some breaks in the middle but like Percy said, we'll finish the book today so tomorrow can be for preparation." Chiron said. Everybody nodded.

"I'll read." Amphitrite said.
