Fly a helicopter?...crazier things that week
"Facts." The demigods nodded.
Leo snorted in laughter.
"You guys are a mood." Hermes chuckled.
"Well we get it from you." Travis grinned, gesturing to himself, Connor and Chris. Hermes laughed.
"Yeah you do." He said.
"And mother too though." Connor said, gesturing to himself and Travis.
"Hmm yeah both our parents are a mood." Travis grinned.
"Hence." Katie said, gesturing to Travis and Connor with raised eyebrows. The Stolls grinned. Travis smirked at Katie with a wink. Katie rolled her eyes playfully.
"You're crazy, you know that?" Katie said to Travis fondly with a smile. Travis grinned at her.
"Only for you babe." He said. Katie flushed bright red. The demigods cheered and wolf whistled.
"Ahh lover boy." Castor laughed. Travis smirked.
"Who taught you?" Piper chuckled.
"I did." Travis grinned. Everybody cheered and laughed again. The gods chuckled looking at the demigods amusedly.
The sun was going down…he started freaking out.
Beckendorf nodded understandingly.
"Yeah that happens because then you start thinking but then if you don't think about it then it just comes naturally." He said.
"So fly a helicopter without thinking about flying a helicopter?" Leo asked. Beckendorf chuckled and nodded.
"Hey Thals, that trick work for you?" Nico grinned at Thalia. Percy roared with laughter. Triton jumped a little at that because Percy sounded just like his dad for one second. Thalia glared at Nico and Percy.
"One a serious note though, it might work. If you forget about your fear of heights while being at a height then you might not be afraid anymore. Like when we went skydiving." Percy said. Thalia nodded.
"I mean come on. Even I enjoyed that." Nico said
"That a shocker, Nico?" Jason grinned.
"Very big one actually." Nico said with a grin.
He imagined his Aunt Rosa…suspected she was right.
"Well that part of you is wrong." Beckendorf said to Leo sternly
"And so is Aunt Rosa." Chris said. Leo gave the two of them grateful smiles.
"Going okay?"… I mean, Hermes.
"Nah, you mean Mercury." Dakota chuckled. Jason grinned.
"Ahh." The Hermes kids said and sat forward.
"He sounds interesting." Travis said. Hermes chuckled.
He was an adventurer … know he was a demigod."
The demigods nodded.
"Those loopholes really come together once you find out." Percy said.
The bay slipped behind…shape looked like an eagle.
A few whistles.
"That sounds epic." Jason grinned.
"Yeah kind of a freaky of how accurate it is but pretty cool for the same reason." Thalia chuckled.
"I started my journey there…solstice and raise Porphyrion
Hera shuddered, paled and took a shaky breath.
"Okay yeah, that's screwed. Like the whole rising of Porphyrion part." Annabeth said
"And the way its done." Percy said. Annabeth tilted her head and nodded.
"That too." She said "But she should've been a bit more careful."
Percy shrugged. "Mistakes happen." He said simply. Some of the demigods choked on air and some of them just shrugged. Annabeth stared at Percy who shifted uncomfortably.
"I mean there's not much that we can do about it right? I mean curiosity can be dangerous." He said. Annabeth nodded at that. The elder gods except Hestia and Hera raised their eyebrows at Percy, knowing exactly what was going on. Percy just threw up his hands in the air in exasperation. Hera looked beyond confused as to what was happening.
"What's going on?" Will asked. The five demigods looked at each other. Percy gestured to Nico to tell Will and he leant over to tell Annabeth. The two of them paled.
"Ah." Will swallowed.
"So that's the only reason?" Annabeth asked. Percy shrugged.
"Guess we had to bond with everybody either way. This just gave a start. A nudge if you put it that way." He said.
"Even Thalia?" Annabeth asked with a raised eyebrow. Thalia shrugged.
"Eh." She said. "Like Percy said." She said. Percy raised an eyebrow and grinned.
"Don't get excited. I'm not saying that again." Thalia said. Percy grinned and laughed.
"I'm so lost." Castor said.
"Right yeah." Jason said. "Let it be." He said. Castor sighed.
"Some sort of minor explanation would be good though." Pollux said
"Right. Okay. So we're basically trying to bond with everybody. Not just our parents and cousins and all." Percy said.
"Ah. You're following the relations are a chess game thing?" Connor said with a small grin.
"Yeah. How'd you know?" Percy asked with a small smile.
"You told us." Connor chuckled. "We came to you for some relation advice about an annoying half-sister." He said. Hermes raised an eyebrow.
"We figured it out." Travis assured him. Hermes nodded.
"I got lost after Castor said that he's lost." Persephone said, shaking her head. All the demigods grinned sheepishly.
"So let me get this straight. You want to talk to me?" Hera asked
"Uh kinda." Jason said with eyebrows furrowed and a half shrug. Hera raised her eyebrows at Zeus who shrugged with a small smile. Hestia gave a small smile to the demigods.
"I'm just going to continue before I lose track of the multiple conversations that got started from one conversation." Annabeth said, shaking her head fondly. Everybody laughed.
That might be enough to awaken…right where they were going.
"Oh brilliant." Jason sighed.
"Flying into a storm. That sounds fun." Leo said
"Joyride." Piper shrugged. A few laughs.
Piper's dad had called…him still wanted to run
"Its like that. You know its dangerous and you want to run but that's just a scared part of you who probably has some sense of self-preservation left." Nico said.
"That's not going to help, Nico!" Will said with a small fond smile.
"I was kidding." Nico grinned. Leo chuckled.
"Anyway, it's like that. You kind of feel scared and you just find everything you did kind of hard to believe because it was a blur when it was happening. When you think of it, it makes you feel scared and just like as it happened to somebody else but then when you're in battle and a fight, it automatically turns into a blur again because all your attention is on that moment and on your moves." Nico said, seriously this time. The demigods nodded. The gods sighed.
What was he thinking…gone forever, Leo thought.
Everybody winced or flinched at that. Beckendorf and Hephaestus squeezed Leo's shoulders reassuringly.
Seeing Piper and her dad…He wouldn't see his mom.
"Look Leo, I know how that feels. It feels like that some part of you would wish that it just doesn't get over and that there is something in your life to distract you from that but it does get better eventually. Yeah, I have a grandmother but when my mom died in the war, I felt just like you did." Frank said.
"And especially, your mom died when you were younger so it might have been more painful for you all these years but sometimes you can always think about your friends, your half-siblings and your partner. That helps because they feel like family too." Frank swallowed. Leo gave him a grateful look.
"Thanks man. That helps. I have a family now." He said. Frank nodded. Ares squeezed Frank's shoulder reassuringly. The demigods gave small smiles. Hazel gave him a small smile before it wavered.
"Uh Frank, when did your mom die again?" she asked
"A few months, almost an year before I came to camp. Why?" Frank asked with a curious look. Leo's eyebrows shot up.
"Dude, she can be saved then." He said. Frank almost fell of the couch that he was sitting on.
"What?" he asked in disbelief. Leo nodded.
"Is that possible?" he asked Nico and Hades.
"Well, as it hasn't happened yet then yes, it is possible." The god of the underworld said. Nico nodded. Frank's eyes went wide and he looked at Ares who swallowed.
"What about we talk to her the same way that we do with Luke?" Chris asked.
"Frank, are you sure that your mom won't go to war?" Clarisse asked Frank gently. Frank hesitated.
"I-I don't know but I have to try." He said
"I'll try talking to her first. It'll be better if its just me, her and your grandmother. I'll give her the basis and then I'll call you in so you can talk to her." Ares said. Frank nodded.
"Thanks dad." He said. Ares smiled and gave him a side hug.
All the demigods and gods smiled, extremely glad that Frank might have a chance to save his mother. Nico, Leo and Hazel's smiles were the widest. Nico and Leo's were a little sad as they wouldn't get that opportunity but there were extremely glad for Frank. Hazel's had a wide smile and gave Frank a hand squeeze.
Annabeth continued reading with a small smile.
The helicopter shuddered…would drive him crazy.
The Underworld gang nodded and sighed.
He had a job to do…passed out almost immediately.
Everybody chuckled or snickered. Jason grinned sheepishly.
"The bolt much have drained you." Thalia said.
"That's most likely the reason for me just falling asleep like that." Jason nodded.
Piper and Leo stayed…you'd have to look at her.
Leo and Piper gave each other smiles.
"Well what can I say?" Piper said with a hair flip. Everybody laughed or grinned.
"Thank you." Leo answered with a grin. Piper threw a cushion at him which just added to the laughter.
"My dad," she said thoughtfully…a different person?"
Jason gave Piper a reassuring hand squeeze.
Leo had had the same…Jason can handle it."
"Yeah." Jason nodded. Piper nodded.
Piper smoothed her blue…I need to trust him..."
A few chuckles. Jason kissed Piper's hand and she blushed. There were a few hoots and wolf whistles.
"I know," Leo said…reduced to near insanity.
The Dionysus gang and Chris grimaced. Piper winced.
"That's…that's not happening this time around." Percy shook his head. The demigods nodded in agreement. Aphrodite nodded as well. Piper gave them all a small smile.
Leo could barely stand to watch that
"Barely stand to hear it either." Leo grimaced.
Everybody nodded in agreement.
"Watching it would've been a lot worse than hearing it." Thalia sighed. Everybody grimaced at the thought.
But for Piper — Wow…you can trust me too."
Leo and Piper grinned at each other.
"Thanks bro." she said. Leo grinned widely at her.
"Anytime." He said.
The helicopter dipped…relaxing comfortably with a friend.
Everybody chuckled and laughed good naturedly.
Then they hit the storm clouds.
The laughter went away and there were a few sighs and groans.
"Great." Piper sighed.
"Done with the chapter." Annabeth said
"I'll read." Percy grinned. Annabeth grinned back and passed him the book.
