"Shall we read?" Chiron asked everybody. They all nodded. Some of the people grabbed some more coffee.

"Hey Chiron, the tide's good today. Should we read on the beach?" Percy asked.

"I'm fine with that." Chiron said with a small smile. Everybody else nodded as well.

"Pity that we can't read in the sky." Jason sighed with a grin.

"That'd be scary kind of. Just floating in the air." Percy said with a raised eyebrow. Jason snickered.

Everybody got up and went to the beach and plopped down.

"It smells so good. The wet sand." Castor said, taking a huge breath. All the demigods nodded in agreement.

"Makes you feel fresh. Coffee and this. Perfect solution." Pollux grinned.

"Or Kool Aid." Dakota grinned. Pollux and Castor nodded. The three high fived. Dionysus chuckled. Percy grinned.

"I'll read." Silena said and picked up the book.

JASON XLIX

AFTER THE FIGHT ON MOUNT…sister was frozen at his feet.

Thalia squeezed Jason's shoulder reassuringly. Zeus grimaced as he felt Jason's pain and devastation wash through him.

"Oh yeah. That happened too." Percy and Nico scowled.

He was surrounded…it with a piece of wood.

Everybody winced at that.

"We have to get you another weapon as well. All of you. Just in case." Ares said.

"We've got guns." Percy grinned. Ares gave a small smile.

"Close combat one too." He said

"All the demigods have a different way that their weapons are preferred. Percy would use a sword made in the ocean, Jason would use an imperial gold one. Thalia would prefer silver. My kids would prefer gold. Aphrodite kids would prefer a dagger and so would Annabeth." Apollo pointed out.

"Well then we're just going to have to get the customized." Hermes said with a grin.

"But as we're going to turn into gods, we won't be able to have more than one symbol of power and I think we choose the weapons after we turn into gods?" Nico said

"That is there. You choose one as your symbol of power. You can even ask for a customized one. I'll make them but you can still have a sword or something as just a weapon and not a symbol of power." Hephaestus explained.

"Ah okay." Nico said.

He had approximately five…whiny imprisoned goddess

Hera gave a light scowl.

One sort-of girlfriend with a dagger

Piper and Jason grinned at each other.

And Leo, who apparently thought…darkness with breath mints.

Leo blushed and there were a few chuckles.

"So he did notice." Reyna chuckled. Jason grinned and winked at Leo.

On top of all this…them be the prey for once."

The hunters and Artemis growled. Percy and Nico swore in a manner that got a few raised eyebrows from the gods. Percy swears were relatively more violent than Nico's though Nico did know more violent swears than the ones he just said.

"You've got a sailors mouth." Hazel said with a raised eyebrow to Percy who grinned sheepishly.

"I'm going to let you think that that's the most violent they can get." He said. There were a few chuckles.

"Good choice." Hazel said with a smile.

"Well it does make sense. He got that from his father." Amphitrite shrugged. Percy burst out laughing that made almost everybody jump a little.

"He literally sounds just like you when he's laughing that hard." Apollo said to Poseidon with raised eyebrows. Poseidon grinned at Percy.

The wolves snarled…much less rule the world."

"I don't get if I should agree with that or not." Travis said with a smile.

"And why not?" Demeter asked him. Travis shrugged.

"I mean no god or goddess is worthless. But I mean Hera's trying to provoke her at the time. So I don't really know but nobody's worthless." Travis explained

"That's true." Demeter agreed. Hades clapped. Demeter glared at him.

"You agreed with a person dating your daughter. I'm applauding Travis." Hades smirked.

"Why do you like annoying me so much?" Demeter groaned "I'm elder to you." She said. There were a few laughs at that.

"I like annoying you because you like annoying me. It's only fair." Hades grinned. "Though even if you don't annoy me, I'd still annoy you because I'm your brother." He added after thinking. Demeter huffed and rolled her eyes playfully.

"Well he's also-" Percy started teasingly when Nico clamped his hand on his cousins' mouth.

"Not a word." He said. Percy's voice was muffled and he bit Nico's hand who pulled it away and smacked Percy's arm.

"Well that backfired." Jason laughed.

"You done with the lollipop?" Percy grinned.

"It was good." Jason nodded. Percy laughed and gave him a high five.

Khione sighed. "Tiresome…about your death — "

"It's like she's selling a death or trying to negotiate with us. 'About your death' sounds like she's telling us about warranty and a relative is yelling from behind and trashing the product." Leo said with an amused expressions. Every single person burst out laughing at that.

"That was so freaking hilarious." Connor choked out. Leo grinned and winked at him.

"You're the one who tricked…confirming their own deepest fears

The gods stiffened.

"That's not good." Artemis shook her head.

Zeus was scowling that somebody pressed him into closing Olympus even if at some point he was contemplating it. He didn't like that if maybe he would have decided to not close Olympus, he was being manipulated.

I also whispered in Aeolus's ear…small service for Gaea

"He did mention a cold tingle on the back of his neck." Grover pointed out.

"Should've realized then that it was Khione." Jason sighed.

But I'm sure I will be well…couldn't openly disobey him.

"Boreas is still the master of the house like he said." Aphrodite said.

My father is an old fool…but he's still powerful.

The gods nodded that at least Boreas was loyal to them.

"Well, Boreas deserves a vacation." Connor stated.

"True." Hermes agreed. Everybody turned to look at Zeus who sighed.

"I'll ask him where he wants to go." He said. There were some grins.

Soon enough, when my…but not just yet.

Everybody shook their heads.

Besides, my father did…Your quest was suicidal.

"Technically almost all quests are." Nico pointed out.

"This one was more than the others." Beckendorf said "And I don't think that they interfere on too many quests to know how dangerous or not they are." He said.

"That's true." Nico nodded.

I fully expected you to fail."… You're gonna pay for that."

Leo nodded.

"Nobody messes with my dragon." He said. Hephaestus gave him a small smile.

"You're also the one who…snowstorms the whole trip."

Everybody was scowling by now.

"Yes, I feel so close to all of you now!" Khione said.

"Well we don't!" Piper, Leo and Jason shouted angrily.

"Once you made it past…It will be ... delicious."

Everybody winced.

"At that point, that's how it would've been. Unless Hera's plan works. If Percy's at the Roman camp then there is a good chance that he would be given a quest and would have to prove himself. And Octavian's going to be a pain in the butt." Reyna said.

"He's always a pain in the butt. There isn't anything surprising about that." Dakota shook his head.

"But the plan should work otherwise it's going to be another Civil War." Jason said

"At that moment, Reyna's probably praetor. She would understand. She might skeptical but she would understand." Frank said. Reyna nodded.

"Well, the next book might be about that." Athena said.

Piper and Leo didn't seem…what you would do anyway."

"We wouldn't do it willingly. I don't think that any side would want war." Dakota shook his head.

"But why?" Piper spread…You can't charm-speak me.

"But they really are improving if she even hesitated. We've already seen how powerful Khione's charmspeak is and to make her hesitate is very good." Aphrodite beamed proudly at Piper. Silena nodded.

"That was really good." Silena agreed with a smile. Piper grinned.

We wind gods are creatures…He meant Greece."

The gods nodded grimly. Percy rubbed the back of his neck as he thought about what would happened the day after tomorrow.

"You could join me…skills would be quite useful."

Leo snorted.

"Not happening ever. I'm happy where I am." He said. Everybody smiled.

Leo looked stunned…I thought you were hot."

Leo nodded in agreement with his book self. There were some cheers and grins for him.

"That's going to offend her. You calling her 'hot'." Hera said with a smirk and nodded approvingly at Leo.

Khione's face turned red…Very, very cold."

Hera shrugged.

She shot a blast of wintry…It — freaking — melts."

Everybody cheered and whooped this time. Leo was grinning widely.

"That was amazing." Beckendorf said with a wide grin. Hephaestus smiled at patted Leo on the back as well.

"A whole wall of fire. Wow." Chris said with a grin.

"And melting the snow. That's going to be a huge huge advantage." Percy grinned. Leo nodded.

Khione hissed. "Enough…and the monsters charged.

Everybody grimaced again at the thought of Jason's using a wooden plank as a weapon.

"Chapter's done." Silena said

"I'll read." Beckendorf said with a smile. Silena returned it and passed the book to him.
