Getting more busy in the past few days lol
I am really having fun with this Elsa fic though.
A lot of my favorite authors updated their fics so I got to catch up on that later.
I will be taking my exams later so I hope I will do well :)

As soon as he finished taking his shower, he dressed up and immediately went to the dining room where Elsa, Halibel, and Zarestia were waiting for him.
"Took you long enough, little Su~ I was getting really hungry here." Halibel said as he gave a slight chuckle.
"Why didn't you just go ahead!?"
"Little Elsa did not want to start without you" Zarestia added
"Well, I just thought that it would be better if we all ate together at the same time" Elsa said with a gentle smile as she slightly averted her gaze at him, slightly blushing.
Subaru returned a smile of his own to the very caring young woman in front of him.
"Ahahahaha… Is that so? Thank you, Elsa"
With a gentle smile of her own, and a chuckle between the two adults of the room after watching Subaru and Elsa's interaction, the group finally had their breakfast.
In the middle of breakfast, there were much idle chatter shared between them. Halibel talked about what he has been up to lately, to which Subaru continued to label him as an eternal playboy. Zarestia and Elsa talked more about cooking and the children in the village. As the breakfast went on, Halibel and Zarestia asked about Subaru and Elsa's journey later to a forest near the borders of Gusteko.
"What are you going to do there in that forest? That forest is filled with mabeasts" Zarestia asked, a bit concerned for the two.
"We'll be looking for someone"
"Someone? Elsa, do you know anything about this?" Zarestia inquired.
"I'm afraid not Master Tia but… I trust him… and I will follow wherever he goes" Elsa said, to which it caught the attention of Subaru, Halibel, and Zarestia.
As the two adults smiled at what they heard, Subaru blushed as he looked onto Elsa.
Seeing the flustered young man, Halibel took it upon himself to reassure Zarestia that they will be all right.
"Don't worry about them. I know they are a bit young but remember that Little Su~ managed to fight you toe to toe while Elsa, on the other hand, I could say is one of, if not my most gifted student in the shinobi arts. These younglings can handle themselves."
Hearing Halibel's response, Zarestia glanced a look at Subaru and Elsa, to which they gave a nod, letting her know that they have acknowledged her worries and that they wanted for her to trust them.
"*sigh* Fine, both of you watch each other's backs, okay?"
"We will" Elsa and Subaru said in unison which made them both chuckle at their response.
As breakfast finally finished, Elsa took the dishes into the kitchen, where Zarestia followed to have a talk with her. As the two women left the dining room, Halibel went to Subaru's side and started teasing him about Elsa.
"Look at you two! You both really have grown since I last first saw you. Now tell me, Little Su~, How is your relationship with Elsa?" Halibel said as he ruffled through Subaru's hair.
"Hey, cut it out! Elsa and I still have the same relationship. Plus, I don't think she would want anything more than what we have right now" Subaru immediately retorted as he tried to get rid of Halibel's hand off his hair.
"Hmmm… so it did cross your mind. *sigh* You should act faster, Little Su~ a woman as kind and caring as her won't last long, especially paired with her blooming beauty." Halibel said as he made Subaru look at Elsa from behind.
As Subaru looked onto her, it really made Subaru ponder as to whether or not he should pursue a relationship with her.
As he dwelled deeper into his thoughts and remembered every moment they shared, Subaru could only smile as he remembered how Elsa was beside him supporting him and helping him all throughout his journey. Even when they found the people they were looking for before, Elsa chose to stay by his side. Through thick and thin, she was what remained constant in his new life in the new world.
Although some thoughts of doubt stopped him from reaching his answer, it was when he heard a familiar voice ring inside his head that he knew that he shouldn't let Elsa go.
"Find someone that can share your loving heart"
As soon as Subaru heard that voice inside his head, he smiled.
"You are right… and you know what… I will ask her at the end of the day… I just hope she feels the same" Subaru said as he smiled as he looked onto Elsa.
"Ahahahaha! You better make sure of that! Don't worry, I feel that she would feel the same, Little Su~" Halibel said as he ruffled through his hair once more.
"Hey! Cut it out!"
As Halibel and Subaru continued to enjoy each other's company, the two women in the kitchen had a similar conversation between Subaru and Elsa's relationship.
"You know Elsa, you got to act fast otherwise another woman might snatch him away from you" Zarestia said which made Elsa flinch, as she washed the dishes.
"I don't know what you mean Master Tia…" Elsa said as she kept a calm face.
"The way you react and the way you smile. I only saw you smile genuinely when it is with him. Your words and gestures makes it really obvious, even to Halibel and I" Zarestia said as she took some of the dishes that Elsa washed and dry them up.
"*sigh* That is why I can't…" Elsa said as she heard the reality of her situation.
"Hmmm? What do you mean?"
"If it was obvious even for you and Master Halibel about what I feel for him… How come he doesn't act on it? It just only means that he doesn't see me as someone he could possibly love as a woman…" Elsa said as she gripped the plate she was washing tighter.
"That is why… I can't tell him what I feel… if I told him and I lose him… I don't know what I would do…" Elsa said as her eyes grow moist from the thought of losing Subaru.
"It doesn't matter what kind of life I would lead… Even if my life has nothing except being with him… As long as I have him… I have everything" Elsa said from the bottom of her heart which made Zarestia frown for the young woman keeping her feelings locked up.
"Can you live with yourself, if he ever chose another woman?" Zarestia asked Elsa, who froze at her question.
"Y-Yes" Elsa answered with a broken voice as thoughts of Subaru being with another woman flooded her mind.
His warmth for another, Elsa could not bear the thought.
"Then, why am I seeing tears flowing down your face?" Zarestia said as she looked at the once cool and collected woman beside her tremble with tears flowing down her face.
"…"
"Elsa… You truly love him…"
"I do"
Zarestia went closer and rubbed her hand on the back of Elsa, calming her down and comforting her.
"Tell him Elsa"
"I can't… I can't lose him" Elsa said as she shook her head.
"You won't lose him"
"How do you know?"
As Elsa asked her question, Zarestia simply showed the palm of her left hand and traced a line on her palm with her right hand.
Although nothing was on her hand, Elsa knew what she meant. Zarestia traced a line of her injuries, inflicted on her by the nasty-eyed boy in their first encounter.
"Standing up against a Great Spirit is quite unheard of, all because he really did not want me touch "His Elsa"" Zarestia teased as she tried make Elsa remember his profession.
As Elsa heard this and remembered that moment, she could feel the heaviness of her heart slowly diminish.
"Don't you dare touch her! Get away from MY ELSA!" The voice rang in her head as she remembered his words.
Noticing Elsa's body was starting to relax, Zarestia came closer and reassured her.
"He loves you, Elsa. Halibel and I could see that. That boy just needs a little push like all men do." Zarestia said as she smiled, making Elsa smile.
"A little push?" Elsa said as she wiped off her tears and sniffle just a little.
"Subaru adores you very much"
"Really?"
"Halibel and I would always see his eyes wander to you with so much love and whenever you and Halibel were training, I would always spot him, hiding just to watch over you."
As Elsa heard this, her face grew red as she caught a glimpse of how much Subaru cared for her. Hearing more of her loved one's secret acts, she could feel her warm feelings of affection for him bubble up even more.
"Now, do you see…" Zarestia said with a smile as she finally saw the young woman beside her, nod in agreement with her words.
"I do… and I will" Elsa said as she gave Zarestia one of her sincerest smiles.
Looking at her, Zarestia was visibly happy that she was finally able to make the woman beside her build up the necessary courage. Taking a slight glance to the side, she already noticed the same young boy, Elsa has feelings for, gaze at Elsa lovingly.
With a chuckle, Zarestia added, "It looks like no matter what you do, he just can't take his eyes off of you"
"Hmmm? What do you mean?" Elsa asked to which Zarestia gestured with her eyes to look behind her.
As Elsa turned her back, she immediately saw the loving gaze Subaru was giving her. Seeing Elsa look back, Subaru immediately broke his gaze and acted like was not looking.
Returning back to Zarestia, Elsa and Zarestia chuckled from Subaru's reaction.
"Now, I want an answer from him as soon as you return."
"Will do… Thank you, Master Tia" Elsa said, with a smile.
As soon as all the dishes were cleaned, and Halibel and Zarestia finally parted their ways, Subaru and Elsa started making their preparations for their trip. Although for Subaru, he had nothing but himself to bring.
As soon as Subaru finished setting up the ground dragon that was lent to them for their journey, Subaru walked back to the house to check on Elsa. As he opened the door, he was greeted by a very pleasant sight. Subaru saw the exposed back of Elsa as the long coat hanged onto the inner part of her forearms.
Subaru couldn't utter a single word as he saw the beautiful form of the woman in front of him. The view was immaculate. As Subaru saw every contour of her beautiful body, her pale white skin that glistened under the sunlight further accentuated her as truly a work of art.
Noticing the light of the door that opened, Elsa turned her head, only to see an awestruck Subaru stuck in his tracks.
"Subaru, watch out, your jaw is about to fall off" Elsa answered with a smile, chuckling at the end.
"O-Oh! I am sorry about that! I-I will just go back at the front!" Subaru said in a panic as he immediately closed the door.
Seeing his panicked reaction, Elsa laughed. Normally, she would have been embarrassed with the whole situation, but after getting her resolve and her newly found confidence, she is determined to make the man she love look at her.
After waiting for a while, Elsa finally came out in her usual shinobi attire. Although her outfit was for combat, Subaru can still say that her outfit still brings out her beauty. The thin long coat she wore meshed very well with the short dress she had underneath. The black attire with purple trimmings was really reminiscent of the Elsa he knew in his previous world.
"She looks stunning…" Subaru thought as he saw her walk closer to him.
"Well, this is a first. A ground dragon? we usually walk or go by carriage." Elsa stated, folding her arms under her breast as she went beside Subaru and stared at the creature in front of her.
"O-Oh, With the area as far and heavily dense with trees as it is, the ground dragon would be the best choice" Subaru replied, snapping out of his entranced state.
Listening to Subaru's reasoning, Elsa understood and nodded in agreement.
"I see, well then, let us go, shall we?" Elsa said as she looked back at Subaru with a smile.
With a nod, Subaru climbed onto the saddle and gestured to Elsa to go behind him. As Elsa placed her foot onto the stirrup, Subaru immediately reached out his hand to gently pull and assist her. Finally settled, Subaru pulled the bridle, pointing the ground dragon to their desired direction. As the ground dragon moved, Elsa, losing her balance, got surprised and immediately clung onto Subaru. As soon as Subaru felt Elsa's arms wrapped around him tightly and felt her soft body squeezed against his back, Subaru stiffened up and froze.
Gulping as he does it, Subaru's heart pounded faster.
As she held him, Subaru felt once more the same warmth he thought he lost all those years ago. To feel it once again, just reassured him of his love for the woman holding him. On the other hand, Elsa invaded his senses to the fullest, making it known to him that a real woman was holding him, making his instincts as a man more apparent. Confused with the mixture of love and lust, Subaru just remained still.
Resting her head against his back, Elsa heard the quickening heartbeat of Subaru. As she heard it, she smiled in gladness that he also felt the same. For a while, she kept her tight grip around him, savoring this moment. In this moment, she knew that couldn't let him get out of her grasp.
"I love you…" Elsa silently confessed, preparing these words for him at the end of their trip.
After a good amount of time passed, Subaru finally spoke, "A-Ah, okay, so… it is time to head out"
Hearing Subaru's voice, Elsa loosened her grip and slowly sat upright.
"Oh, I am sorry, Subaru. I just lost my balance for a moment." Elsa said as she chuckled at the end.
"I-I see… that will be really bad for the trip… you better hold on tight to me, okay" Subaru said, blushing, as he rubbed his cheek with his right index finger.
As soon as she heard his statement, Elsa blushed and smiled.
With a nod, Elsa finally wrapped her arms on his waist properly.
"Well, make sure you don't let me fall, okay" Elsa whispered into his ear which bought shivers down Subaru's spine.
Holding onto her hands with his left hand, Subaru smiled and replied, "I won't let you fall".
Hearing his words, Elsa blushed and chuckled.
Finally settled, with a nod from the two, the pair finally started their journey. As they made their way into the forest, Subaru and Elsa made small chatter along the way, enjoying each other's company.
Enjoying the sights as they travel, each of them was glad and happy that they got to spend it with each other. As the pair talked about their memories with each other, each of them gave subtle hints about what they feel for one another. Blushing and teasing, the pair slowly and steadily grew closer and closer.
As they neared their destination, Subaru stopped the ground dragon. Getting off of the ground dragon, Subaru reached out a hand to help Elsa get off.
"We're near, there will be a lot of mabeasts when we go further so stay close"
With a nod, Elsa went to his side with a smile.
"I see, very well then"
"We'll be right back, okay" Subaru said as he patted the head of the ground dragon, making the ground dragon settle down.
As Subaru and Elsa made their way deeper into the forest, they could already notice some mabeasts, roaming around. With Subaru's scent, it was only a matter of time until they finally made their encounter.
As soon as the Wolgarm picked up Subaru's scent, the mabeast immediately ran to Subaru's direction. As soon as Subaru saw the wolgarm in his sight, Subaru simply pointed to the Wolgarm. Using his authority of gluttony, the said mabeast stopped in its tracks. With a sharp sound cutting through the air, the needle of Elsa went through the head mabeast, killing it in an instant.
"There will be more of them coming. I don't have much practice with this ability, so I could only stun a handful of them. Strategies may change along the way, okay? Elsa"
"Got it" Elsa nodded as she went to his side once more.
Again and again, the pair encountered mabeast after mabeast, and again and again, they fell from the needle of the shinobi as she bounced off the trees. As they went deeper, the pair started to get into a clearing.
Recognizing the place in his memories, Subaru knew they were getting close.
"Meili, I am almost there" Subaru thought as he remembered the memory of a child crying in a cave.
With their reunion getting closer and closer, it was no real surprise for what they saw next.
"Subaru, where is the person we are looking for?" Elsa asked as she readied her needles once more.
"Right there" Subaru said as he pointed to the cave filled with mabeasts.
Wolgarms, Black winged rats, and Arkalbs surrounded the cave as if it were protecting something. What caught the eyes of Elsa though was the huge Guiltylowe guarding the center. Having never encountered such a beast before, Elsa felt once more a feeling she couldn't describe within herself. The urge to fight strong opponents to what end? She did not know the reason why, but she knew that it could be used to protect the one she loves.
"This will be interesting" Elsa said as she took out more of her needles.
"We'll be using the air jump strategy, Elsa"
"Understood" Elsa said as she took on her stance. Focusing her mind like her Master Halibel taught her, she heightened her senses.
Taking a deep breath, Subaru focused his mind. Using the authority of sloth, he summoned four unseen hands. As soon as Subaru summoned the unseen hands, Elsa could already feel its presence. Through the change of air pressure as it moves, she could discern the amount and location of the hands.
"Four" Elsa said with a smile.
As soon as Subaru heard, he smiled and chuckled.
"Are you ready?" Subaru asked.
"I am" Elsa said as she took on a runner's stance, placing only her right hand onto the ground while her left hand, held multiple needles.
"On my mark" Subaru said as he took his own running stance.
After a brief silence, Subaru finally made his call, "Go!"
As soon as he gave the signal, Elsa disappeared from his side. With great speed she charged to the mabeasts guarding the cave. As she was charging, Subaru himself also ran while his unseen hands went alongside with Elsa.
In the middle of her run, Elsa drew the needles out and immediately threw them with great speed, killing immediately all the mabeasts that were in the needle's path. As it exited the Wolgarm's and Arkalb's heads, the needles would leave small craters from the impact, demonstrating Elsa's destructive power.
As soon as the mabeast were aware of Elsa's presence, mabeasts started charging her way. As the black winged rats started to elevate their altitude, Elsa knew she had to deal with them first. With the same thought, Subaru started taking down the black winged rats with his unseen hands. Discerning the locations of the moving unseen hands, like jumping through air, she jumped onto one unseen hand to another as she made her way close enough for the black winged rats.
Like in a ballet, she danced gracefully in the air as she bounced off the unseen hands of Subaru, taking down one black winged rat after another. Saving her needles, she used a small dagger as her weapon. She slashed and moved with precision.
Subaru could only smile as he saw the perfect synergy of one another. As Elsa aimed for her next target she would kick or punch a black winged rat to the path of his unseen hands. As the black winged rats continuously fell down at a rapid pace, the Wolgarms and Arkalbs however started closing in on Subaru.
Elsa noticing this, hurried her pace.
"They are getting closer to Subaru Tsk!"
As soon as Subaru noticed that he was getting surrounded, Subaru stretched his hand with his palm out, stunning some of the Wolgarms and Arkalbs. Seeing that his unseen hands were pre-occupied, he needed to do something quickly as more and more mabeasts started to surround him.
"Shit, I think it is time for that plan"
"Elsa! Genocide!" Subaru screamed, grabbing the attention of the woman above.
Having understood his order, she looked onto one of the stunned Wolgarms. Grabbing a needle within her coat, she immediately threw it with more ferocity. As soon as Subaru saw the blood of the Wolgarm splatter as its head blew off from the impact, he activated the authority of wrath.
"Wrath"
As soon as Subaru uttered the word, the heads of the mabeasts that surrounded him blew up like the Wolgarm Elsa killed.
As the blood splattered around, some of the blood sprayed onto Subaru's face, which impaired his sight.
"Shit!" Subaru thought as he immediately dropped his arms to clean out his eyes.
As Subaru was cleaning his eyes, the Guiltylowe started to rush into Subaru.
Elsa seeing this, she immediately took out the last black winged rat with her needle and started rushing down Subaru's unseen hands.
"Subaru!" Elsa screamed as the Guiltylowe got closer and closer. With only a jump away, Elsa saw the Guiltylowe's jaw open up, ready to consume Subaru. Feeling that she was about to lose him, she summoned every last ounce of her strength in her last dash.
"SUBARU!"
Just as Subaru finally uncovered his eyes, the sight that greeted him was a Guiltylowe in mid-air, with its jaw wide open, ready to consume him. Right before the jaw of the Guiltylowe could ever reach him however came a large impact in front of him, blowing him off of his feet.
As he landed a few feet away from the impact, Subaru immediately went back on his feet as he tried to check what happened.
Coughing from all the dust scattered from the impact, Subaru could still barely see. As the dust slowly lifted, Subaru saw the huge crater on the ground, and with it only the lower half of the Guiltylowe remained.
"W-Whoa" Subaru said as he looked onto the remains of the Guiltylowe.
Seeing the result of the impact, Subaru has still yet to find the person who made the impact. Running towards the crater, he still yet couldn't see the person he was looking for.
"Elsa!"
"Elsa!" Subaru screamed as he frantically looked around.
As soon as the dust settled, Subaru turned around, only to find the person he was looking for walking up to him with a calm face.
"Elsa" Subaru called out to her, but she did not stop and just went closer and closer to him.
As soon as Subaru was within reach, Elsa immediately wrapped her arms around him.
"Elsa" Subaru spoke her name as she embraced him.
"Elsa" He called out once more but still no response.
As he felt her embrace grow tighter, he finally felt the erratic beating of her heart. Faster and faster, it went that Subaru could not discern a rhythm anymore. In this moment, Subaru knew why she couldn't respond.
"I'm okay… Elsa…" Subaru said in a soft voice as he slowly gave back her embrace.
Little by little, her calm demeanor started to break. The arms that wrapped around Subaru started to tremble.
"Hey, hey…I'm here… I'm here…" Subaru said as he began to gently rub the back of Elsa to calm her down.
Gripping the shirt of Subaru from behind tighter, Elsa's whole body started to tremble from the nightmare that almost came to be, a life of living without the one she love.
"I'll never leave you" Subaru said as he gently held her head from behind.
Hearing the words she wanted to hear from him, Elsa broke down into tears. Subaru could finally hear Elsa sob as she rubbed her head onto his chest.
"You idiot! *sob* I thought *sob* I was going to lose you" Elsa said as her voice started to crack and grow weak.
Hearing her words, Subaru held her tighter as he tried to reassure her that he was not going to leave her.
"You *sob* idiot!"
"I'm sorry"
"No! *sob* I don't accept your apology!" Elsa said as she vehemently shook her head.
"Elsa"
Subaru tried to call out, but Elsa was too shaken to listen.
"This is *sob* your fault"
"…"
"You made me *sob* like this"
"Elsa"
"I can't live *sob* without you *sob* by my side" Elsa said as the feelings she held in for a very long time started to surface.
"…"
"Master Tia told me *sob* to give you a little push…*sob * but I don't care anymore"
"What?"
After hearing Subaru's question, Elsa slowly released her embrace on Subaru. Noticing this, Subaru gently loosened his grip on Elsa. Slowly, Elsa looked up onto his face and gently placed her hands on his shoulders.
"I love you, Subaru" Elsa said, closing her eyes slowly, as she bought her face closer to his.
As Subaru felt Elsa's soft lips touched his, it was like a shock that went through his entire body. The warm touch of her lips was unlike anything he had ever experienced. For a moment, they were one in a more intimate level. Through her kiss, did Subaru know that she also felt the same.
After a short moment, Elsa slowly parted away from her kiss. Elsa felt her raging heart starting to settle as she finally let the feelings she buried deep inside show. Although she managed reveal her true feelings for him, she still had a lingering feeling of anxiety for his answer.
As soon as Elsa felt the Subaru's hand on her cheek, she slowly opened her eyes to finally see the answer she was hoping for so long. As she opened her eyes, she finally saw the man she love utter the words she wanted to hear.
"I love you too, Elsa"
Elsa's eyes glimmered as she heard these words. The tears of joy found its way in her eyes as she couldn't believe her sight.
"Y-You do?" Her voice quivered as she tried to make sure that this was actually reality, and not a dream.
"I do" Subaru said with a gentle smile as he wiped some of her tears with his thumb.
"This is not a dream?" Elsa questioned him as she held the hand that is holding her.
Feeling her doubts, Subaru leaned into her and gave her a gentle and sincere kiss.
"It is real… Elsa… My love for you… Everything is real…" Subaru said as he slowly parted away from his kiss.
As Elsa felt his genuine love for her, the young maiden held her love in a tight embrace. Likewise, Subaru reciprocated her embrace. Finding their true love in this world, for a time, Subaru and Elsa lost in each other's arms as they held the one, they love.
Slowly parting from each other, Subaru helped Elsa wipe her tears.
"No more tears, alright?" Subaru said as he gently held Elsa's cheek.
"Whose fault is that? Anyway" Elsa retorted.
After a short chuckle, Subaru replied, "I promise to protect this beautiful smile of yours"
Elsa blushing deeply, replied, "You idiot"
With a chuckle between the two, Subaru and Elsa gave each other one last embrace before setting off hand in hand to the cave of the mabeasts.
As they walked into the cave, they saw one Wolgarm coiling itself around like a blanket, and at the center of it was a child wrapped in a towel crying.
Elsa seeing the small child, immediately head on over to the crying child, separating her hands from Subaru.
As Subaru immediately saw this, he readied himself to use his authority of gluttony to stun the Wolgarm if needed.
As Elsa got closer, the Wolgarm immediately growled and showed its teeth. Showing no fear from the Wolgarm, Elsa steadily got closer to the child.
Within an arm's reach, the Wolgarm slowly lowered its head as the child's cries started to subside. Just as Elsa slowly picked up the child, the child looked at her happily.
Taking her up to her breasts, Elsa looked at the child with love.
"What a beautiful little girl"
Seeing the two reunited, Subaru shed a small tear. The promise of a future for everyone he ever loved was slowly coming together.
As soon as Elsa finally reunited with Subaru, Subaru immediately broke into tears as she saw the small Meili in Elsa's arms. Remembering her book of the dead as well as her final death in his previous world, Subaru swore that he would give her the happiness and love she deserved.
"Subaru, are you alright?" Elsa asked as she saw the man, she love, break into tears.
"I'm fine Elsa… It's just that… I'm glad that she is all right" Subaru said as he sobbed.
"Who is this beautiful girl?" Elsa said as she rocked Meili in her arms.
As soon as Subaru heard her question, he immediately wiped his tears and told her the child's name.
"Meili" Subaru said with a sincere smile.
"Meili, what a beautiful name" Elsa said as she gently played with Meili with her pinky.
Seeing Meili and Elsa reunite, Subaru couldn't help but break a smile of joy.
"I promise to keep both of you safe"
As the couple finally went back to the ground dragon, with Meili in Elsa's arms, Subaru and Elsa talked about the predicament of Meili. With no parents, Subaru asked Elsa to raise Meili with him like a family to which Elsa strongly agreed.
"This will be our first baby" Elsa said as she gave a small kiss onto Meili's forehead.
Subaru blushed and chuckled.
"First?" Subaru asked as he tried to tease Elsa.
"Yes, first… Don't you want to have a child with me?" Elsa asked as she frowned at his answer.
