What a strange... sensation...
A sensation he had never felt before... noises that at first he couldn't tell what they were.
His body was... different. He felt light, too light.
Taking a deep breath, he moved a little, stretching his numb limbs, and then he heard something else.
His eyes widened as he heard the sound of his muscles tensing. And as soon as he faced the place where he was lying, he could distinguish this great diversity of noises.
He could hear his own heart beating, loudly. He could hear the sound of birds as if they were right next to him. He could hear the footsteps of surrounding animals, and even the sound of fish in a stream that was probably nearby.
He was confused, obviously. But he didn't have time to concentrate on the questions in his head, because the noises began to increase, both in volume and in quantity.
They were so loud that it soon became deafening. His head began to throb, and his ears seemed to bleed.
He put his hands over his ears in a futile attempt to lessen or stop all the noise, to the point where he dropped to his knees.
His vision blurred, and he felt his whole body shake. His head felt like it was going to explode. Even his moans were loud, and he was forced to endure it with his mouth closed.
To make matters worse, his eyes also began to hurt. He closed them with some force, but that didn't stop the pain from spreading.
And just like his ears, he felt as if his eyes were bleeding.
The pain was so great that he couldn't move.
- Don't worry... your body is still getting used to these changes... it will pass. But for now, try to concentrate your chakra, slowly and in small amounts, in your eyes and ears.
The boy heard the Bijuu's voice, and amazingly enough, it was not as loud as the rest of the things.
Naruto tried to do as she had said, which was not an easy task. The throbbing pain often made him lose his control over his chakra, making him unstable, and consequently interrupting the process.
But minutes passed, and the noises began to get more muffled, just as the pain in his eyes began to subside.
Until, after a while, everything returned to "normal". The boy was panting, sweat dripped in excess on the floor, and he wished, internally, that he would never go through something like that again.
- It's amazing... I never thought Ku... Kyuubi would make a blood contract with a human.
Naruto heard the beast again, this one that was a little away from him, lying in the opposite corner of that small cave.
- But... I understand that she had no choice... still...
The boy crawled with some difficulty to the next wall, and stood up, wiping the excess sweat on his face and looking around, just before facing the two-tailed Bijuu.
Something was strange... but he couldn't tell exactly what it was. Everything was still so... confusing.
- Are you... are you okay? I mean, I know your sister gave you some chakra, but, they... they didn't find us?
The Bijuu stared at him strangely for a while, a certain gleam in her eye.
-... No, they didn't find us. We had no choice but to go deeper into the forest.
She stood up, and Naruto looked at her curiously. She was really beautiful, a lion of blue and black flames with yellow eyes. And she seemed to be a bit bigger than a lion, in that form, since she was without her chakra.
However, there was something different about her, she seemed to... glow brighter? Was it his impression, or amidst those black and blue flames, were there some golden pigmentations?
- Why are you staring at me so much?
She asked, looking at him with narrowed eyes, and Naruto scratched the back of his neck, a little embarrassed.
- Nothing, I... I just... feel strange. You look... different than before.
A spark of understanding ran through the eyes of the Bijuu, who turned, and walked towards the exit of the cave.
Naruto followed her with his eyes, and seeing no other choice, walked after her.
- Of course it feels strange, Kyuubi said it would, right? That things would be different. It is surprising to see that you are still alive, her chakra is lethal to any ninja, or creature.
The Bijuu said as they approached the exit.
Seeing the sunlight ahead, the boy closed his eyes tightly.
Strange, he was still a considerable distance from the exit, but his eyes burned as if he had just come out of the cave and looked straight up into the sky.
So many strange sensations... even his nose seemed to smell smells that he had never smelled in his life. So many, it made him confused.
- Your eyes burn. Your ears feel like they're going to explode, your nose is numb, right? Well, these are the effects that every human goes through when they make a blood contract with a Bijuu. The stronger that Bijuu, the stronger the effects, plus with each different Bijuu, there are different effects. Look at your reflection.
Naruto stood next to Nibi, just in front of a pool of water near the entrance, lit enough for him to see his reflection clearly.
Although, even if it wasn't brightly lit, he could see well enough anyway. It was only by looking at his reflection that he realized that he could see well into the dark depths of a relatively deep cave without any problems.
As if he could see in the dark.
And it all seemed to make a little more sense when he looked at his reflection.
His eyes widened, and his body locked up.
In place of his beautiful deep blue eyes were two beautiful deep red slit eyes, identical to those of the fox.
His hair was bristling, and what caught his attention the most were the three little marks on his cheeks. Like a pair of whiskers.
- These are some of the changes in your body from having part of my sister's DNA. I can say that you are lucky that you have not turned into some kind of humanoid fox. Your senses have been sharpened to a superhuman level, as have your physical attributes.
Naruto could barely understand what the Bijuu was saying, his mind was focused on those changes. He ran his fingers gently over the marks on his face, admiring his new appearance.
- You may not like it, but you will have to live with it, just accept-
- This is awesome!
The Bijuu's eyes widened slightly. The boy jumped a few times in delight as he observed his appearance, running his hand through his hair as a huge smile broke out on his lips.
-... Excuse me?
The Bijuu was lost, especially as Naruto ran out of the cave and screamed in hysteria as he spun around and looked at everything around him.
He could see things he couldn't see before, details that had gone unnoticed to him. If he concentrated hard enough, it was as if he could zoom in a little with his eyes.
The Bijuu just sat there, still in the same place, not knowing how to react to this. She had seen some people go through similar changes before and have different kinds of reactions.
But, this was the first time she had seen someone so... excited.
- So I got all this because of the blood contract?! That's incredible! Wait, what happens if I cancel the contract?
Naruto stared at the Bijuu, who walked towards him at a calm pace.
- She will leave you. You will separate, but, your DNA will remain similar to hers, that is, you will remain this way, with these attributes.
The boy's eyes seemed to glow.
- Wait, so my children will be like this too?
He put a hand on his chin and grimaced.
-... First, once you made the blood contract, you lost the ability to make children.
The boy's eyes widened in pure terror, and he took a few steps backwards as he looked slowly down.
- I-so... so... I... I can't... I...?
Dramatic tears streamed down the boy's face as he knelt down and looked up as he opened his arms.
- I won... but at what price? Kakashi-nii-san, I am sorry... I will no longer be able to be a man worthy of being your sidekick.
The Bijuu stared at him with narrowed eyes, wondering what she was watching.
-... You are healthy, you can perform the act of procreation normally, I just meant that, your semen no longer has the capacity to transmit your genes.
Naruto stared at her, and stood up, a little more excited.
- I have no idea what semen "procreation" or whatever is, but does that mean I can make someone see stars with the power of my excalibur? Now I'm happy!
- Power of your what?
- Excalibur.
-... And what is this excalibur?
-... The thing that makes me a man... I think.
- And what makes you a man?
- My excalibur... is what Kakashi-nii said.
-... Do you even know what that means?
- No, but Kakashi-nii-san said that it was something that made a real man, and that he would only accept me going on a mission with him if I made myself a man.
The blond said innocently, and the Bijuu sighed.
He was exactly the way her sister had said, strange. But, she had to admit, that purity that he showed, that emanated from his body, was amazing.
He was different... but that didn't stop her from having one foot in the back of her mind. Humans were easily manipulated, unstable and unpredictable creatures.
- Anyway, the second thing is, even if you were able to pass on your genes, there is no female in the world, Bijuu carrier or not, that would be able to bear the weight of your semen, because it would destroy the eggs. Especially since you are a carrier of the strongest of my brothers and sisters. Therefore, you cannot procreate.
She explained, ignoring Naruto's confused expression for not understanding anything.
-... hmmm... but don't men put a seed in a woman's belly to make a child? Why can't I?
The Bijuu sighed. Humans and their strange stories.
Children could kill and go to war but couldn't know the basics of how to pass on their genes and keep the species alive? That's why they were so backward.
- Because your seed is destroyed, let's leave it at that.
The Bijuu said, walking in another direction in an attempt to put a stop to that conversation.
The boy was confused, but shrugged and followed her.
- My sister said she would help me go after my chakra as soon as she wakes up, so, until that happens, let's stay hidden here. You need to - The boy interrupted her.
- What? Why wait for her? I can help.
He said, and the Bijuu stopped walking, looking at him strangely over her shoulder.
- Don't give me that. There are several reasons why I don't believe you, you don't even know where my chakra is!
This time it was Naruto's turn to look at her strangely.
They both stared at each other, and some time later, Naruto raised his arm and pointed in one direction.
- Your chakra is there, inside a person's body... strange, that person's presence is small...
The Bijuu widened her eyes, and turned to him.
- How...?
- You said it yourself, my body has changed... I can feel the presence of the animals in this forest. But of all the presences I feel, for now, at least, there is one that is stronger than the others, what other chakra would be as strong as that of a Bijuu?
He said, and it was then that the two-tailed saw a certain maturity, a certain cleverness in the boy's eyes. Or, maybe, that was just one of the changes that occurred in his mind because of the blood contract.
- I can't feel the chakra of other people, only of the person where your chakra is. I doubt she is alone, so we should be careful. Are you still with your sister's chakra?
The Bijuu was lost for a while, not knowing what to think, or what to say, until a snap occurred in her head, and she returned to the "real world".
- Yes... ahm, the person you sense, is the one who had my chakra sealed in her.
The boy was surprised, and looked at her confused.
- You were sealed? Did you make a blood contract too? But, why are you here and not your chakra?
- I was forcibly sealed... after our hiding place was discovered, my brothers and I split up. They were strong ninjas, but too weak to go against a Bijuu. That was a few years ago, a little less than a hundred years, maybe. I was weak, I was found by these... people, and I was sealed into a girl. Unlike you, she didn't have her attributes changed, but she could use my chakra.
The Bijuu sighed with a certain regret.
- Time passed, and I was forcibly sealed into other hosts... until they found a way to get my chakra out of me, leaving it in the girl, and getting rid of the "monster" that is manipulating their hosts. And well, in summary, I'm here.
The Bijuu stared at the ground with a certain sadness. Things had always been that way, she was used to it, but... it wasn't something she was... comfortable with. Many humans didn't know it, but these "monsters" also have feelings.
Until that moment... she didn't know why she was telling it to a human... well, a half-human. She would just be laughed at, as always.
- Wow... these people are cruel.
Naruto said with some regret, and the Bijuu looked at him, surprised.
- But relax, I will help you, you will be free in no time!
The boy said with a broad smile, and the Bijuu didn't even know what to say.
Of all the things she expected him to say, this was certainly not among them.
-... What is your goal? A human saying he will help a Bijuu... what are your plans?
The boy looked at her confused.
- Hey, can't I help someone who needs it, whether Bijuu or not?
That surprised her.
- I know I wouldn't want to be sealed again and again into several people against my will. Besides, your sister saved me, and I will remember that for the rest of my life. I have a debt to pay, and since you are her sister, that applies to you as well. Mark my words, I will take your chakra back and set you free! That's a promise, dattebayo!
He slammed against his own chest and spat out those words while facing Nibi with a serious expression.
The Bijuu is incredulous, she couldn't even move with such... surprise.
For the first time in centuries, she had found a human who was telling the truth. A human who had good intentions.
-... Why... why all this commitment to Kyuubi? Don't you know the rumors about her?
The boy stopped walking and turned around, looking at her with a small smile.
- I told you, she saved my life and helped me a lot, I'll never forget it. And yes, I know about the rumors, but they are just rumors, she is nothing like the way they say she is.
Naruto widened his smile, and turned around again, walking back.
- By the way, stop calling her "Kyuubi", don't use the name that despicable and ugly people gave to such a beautiful being. Kurama is much better.
Nibi's eyes widened, once again, and she couldn't take her eyes off Naruto's back.
Only a child, but her back was so broad.
She never thought her sister would say her name to a human.
The only one who called her by name.
A small smile was born on her lips, and the Bijuu began to follow the boy.
" Well old man, perhaps, that is the boy you mentioned"
