Harold had set up a bed in the spare room downstairs. The stairs wouldn't be an option for Robert to go up. Cora was grateful her brother took his time to do that while she was in Lisbon.

Every time Cora had to go out of the door, she kissed him goodbye. She was never leaving the house anymore without kissing him.

The cast on his leg, was soon removed. The x-ray showed, there wasn't a fracture in his leg. It was only muscle damage. He got daily physiotherapy to learn to use his leg again. Once the bones in his arm and shoulder blade were healed they started working on that.

Mary had loved having her father home the whole day, and she kept going in his room. In the first days Cora had to get her out of there a lot. Robert needed his rest, but some moments they also just wanted to be together.

It was the morning of Edith's first birthday. Robert had started working at the office again. Six weeks after the accident his cast was removed, and the movement of his arm was really improving. He wasn't allowed to lift, but he could reach the top of his head again. Today he had taken the day off.

Cora had decorated the house with balloons, and the family would come around 11 to see Edith smash her cake. After last years debacle with Mary, Cora had doubted to do a cake smash. But Edith was 100% a different child, she didn't mind getting her hands dirty.

In the conservatory the family had gathered, and they were all waiting for Cora to bring Edith. Mary was sitting on Robert's lap. Cora sat Edith down in front of the cake, she had to hurry to pick up the camera. Edith didn't hesitate and smashed both her hands in the cake. She laughed full heartily.

Violet looked at her granddaughter in disdain, she didn't like this cake smash idea at all. Why let a child destroy a perfect cake, just for fun. She looked at Mary, sitting on Robert's lap and remembered the time she didn't want to do it. Mary was her first grandchild and she loved her to pieces.

Cora took Mary and Edith and Isis to a play area outside, it was (a) nice early summer day. She finished working early today and send the nanny home. Since Robert's accident they had hired a nanny. It was too much work for Cora to care for Robert and the children.

Edith was in her stroller and Mary on her balance bike. Mary loved riding around on her balance bike. Cora was relieved, Isis hadn't scared her that day in Hyde Park. She was a tough little girl. Only 2,5 years old, but she knew exactly what she wanted. When she wanted to use (a) swing and an older child was playing on it? She just walked over and demanded, in her childish way, to have that swing. Her speech had developed enormously over the last few months.

Maja had come to the same park, and they put both their little ones down on the grass area, so they could crawl around.

Robert had a hard time focusing today. Since his accident his brain worked a little slower, but today it was worse. He had a headache, and his concentration was far away.

Rosamund had stepped inside his office. "You are miles away."

Robert rubbed his temples. "What is it Ros!"

"Somebody got out of bed on the wrong side today. I just wanted to make sure you and Cora are attending the event this Friday, there will be loads of new possible clients. Cora needs to take pictures and you, well you know what to do."

"Make as many new clients as possible." Robert sighed. "Ros, some days I ask myself if all this growing is necessary?"

"What do you mean? We need new costumers and with every new costumer we have a new opportunity to open an office somewhere else in the world."

"I don't know, but these days I only manage accounts. The real work is done by our employees, sometimes I miss those days when we two did all the work together."

"My silly brother, it is time for you to go home. Take a nap, rest up and we will talk again tomorrow. Don't forget to remind Cora of the event this Friday." She walked out of the office.

Robert didn't like all these new employees, and especially one of the guys he didn't like. John was always hanging around Cora's office when she was in. Saying he wanted to learn photography from the best. He was hired for his editing talent not to make pictures. But especially not to flirt with his wife.

Speaking of the devil, John stepped in his office. "Will Cora be in tomorrow?"

Robert furrowed his eyebrows. "We will see tomorrow if she is in, won't we?"

"Well, I think I can also ask you? I would love to go with Cora to the event this Friday. So, I can learn how to make the perfect photo's."

"Cora and I are going together to the event!" Robert gave John a sharp look. "And we don't need a new photographer in the company." He got up and walked past John out of his office.

Cora was in the conservatory with Mary and Edith, Robert smelled dinner. He bent down to kiss Mary and Edith on their head. "What's for dinner?" He asked.

"Am I not getting a kiss?" Cora asked surprised.

"Of course." He gave her a quick kiss.

"I made Brussels sprouts glazed in honey, with lamb. What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong, I am just tired, that's all."

"Is your head hurting?" Cora looked at him in concern.

"Just a tiring day at work, nothing else." He took Mary's hand and guided her to the dining table.

Later that evening in bed, Robert turned to Cora. "Did you promise John he could come to the event on Friday?"

"Hmm." Cora's voice sounded sleepy "I don't recall inviting him, I may have mentioned he should practice if he wants to be a photographer."

"I don't want him at that event Cora. I need you on my side, and not, that John flapping around you."

"He isn't flapping around. Why are you so irritated by him?"

"I am not, we just don't need a new photographer." He turned around and tried to catch some sleep.
