Cora had trouble letting Robert's hand go. He had loaded his suitcases in the taxi. Harold and he would meet at the airport.

Robert kissed Mary and Edith goodbye. Mary with her almost 4 years, fully understood what was happening, but for Edith it wasn't different than Robert going to work. He pulled Cora close and kissed her. "I will look both ways when I cross the street." He pinched Cora's side.

Cora hit him on his arm. "Don't joke about that, I am worried. Just be careful, please?"

Robert took Cora's face in his hands. "I promise I will be careful." He gave her a last kiss and got in the car.

Harold was already at the airport. "No Cora?" He joked.

"If it was up to her, she would bring me to my seat in the plane." Robert chuckled.

"My sister can be so worried, sometimes."

"Well, I have to admit, I gave her some reason, two years ago in Lisbon."

Cora was working on the photoshoot; they had hired models and they have rented Sky Garden. Rosamund was helping with the settings. This new magazine would be sent internationally, and would be different than anything they had done before.

All companies they worked with in London would be represented in the magazine, but also all the other offices in Europe.

"Can you turn a little bit more to the right, with just your body? Lift your chin up. Thank you. Perfect. Just bend your leg a little bit more. Yeah, like that." Cora was giving instructions to the models, she needed to be sure the brand was visible, but also the model needed to look good.

"Don't forget to get a good picture of the view outside, the setting sun is beautiful." Rosamund said.

Cora looked up and indeed the setting sun was perfect. She made more shots outside and hoped Robert would be happy with the result.

"I think you made the right choice, opening up an office here." Robert said while eating his lunch. Tonight, he would fly home, Harold was staying to round up the home. "But do you and Madeleine really need the 6.800 Sq. Ft. for your home? I love the view though."

"No, we don't need the space, but this home is just stunning and I want to live on the Upper East Side. Madeleine will love it, I know."

"It will be weird not having you in London anymore. Cora will miss you and if I am honest I will too."

"A good reason to visit us here often with the girls."

Robert chuckled: "Cora will be delighted. I have to go, my suitcases aren't packed yet."

'Going to the airport now, I will text you when I am there. Sleep well dear, I will be careful, xxx." Robert texted; he got an immediate response.

'I can't wait to hold you in my arms again, I miss you. Xxx C."

"Edith eat your breakfast, Mary leave that bow in your hair." It was the morning of Robert's homecoming and Cora was a bundle of nerves. Robert had texted when he boarded the plane, she had read it this morning.

"Edith, come on, eat." Cora cleared the table, Mary saw her chance and took away Edith's plate. Edith started screaming.

"Girls! Stop this, can we please be nice to each other today, daddy will come home soon." Edith and Mary had been at each others throats the whole time. Cora didn't know what to do about it. She gave both of them the same attention.

She put both girls in their car seat and drove to the airport. Robert's plane would arrive in less than an hour. It was on time, according to the website. They were waiting at the sliding doors, what seemed like an hour later, Robert walked through the doors. Mary sprinted towards him and also Edith wiggled herself out of Cora's arms. Robert twirled both girls around in his arms. He walked towards Cora. He lowered the girls to the ground and wrapped his arms around Cora. He kissed her and she buried her face in his neck.

"I missed you so much." Cora kissed him again.

On the way home, Robert didn't let go of Cora's hand. "What is your plan for Mary's birthday, this year?"

"I made a reservation at 'Wacky Warehouse London' to have a 'Make Your Own Bear Party'. I think Mary will like that. I invited her friends, will have a small group of 5 children and Mary and Edith." Cora said softly, so Mary couldn't hear it.

Since they moved to this house, Mary had a lot of neighbourhood friends, but she chose these 4 girls and one boy. Cora had said she could invite anyone she wanted. This September Mary would start preschool and Cora wasn't really ready for it. Her little girl, who made her a mother was growing up so fast.

Cora was baking a princess cake, Mary helped with the decorations. Robert had kept Edith out of the kitchen. Mary loved the one-on-one attention. "Mama, will I get a new sister for my birthday?"

Cora lowered herself. "Would you like that?" She asked surprised.

Mary's little head was nodding, and she had a big smile on her face. Cora's heart melted.

"Daddy and I bought a present for you, and I hope you will like it darling." Cora was surprised that Mary would want a baby sister, especially because she didn't like Edith. They were like water and fire. "Maybe one day you will get a baby sister or brother". She stroked Mary's hair.

Robert woke Cora up with a kiss on her cheek. "Darling, it is Mary's birthday, you have to wake up."

"Hmmm, 5 more minutes." Cora curled herself up and buried her head under the duvet.

"Mary is already awake, you really have to get up."

Cora opened her eyes: "Why did we make it so late yesterday."

"I don't know, but I love going out with you." He bent down and kissed her on the lips. Come on, Mary is waiting for us."

Mary loved her gifts, she got a second baby born and a stroller for her babies.

All her friends arrived early, and it was very busy in their home.

Violet got up: "uhm, it is time for me to go."

"Mama, stay a little longer, you don't have to go?" Cora asked.

"No, no, I should go." She gave Cora a kiss and said goodbye.

"It's to busy with all the kids." Robert said softly in her ear.

Rosamund got up to. "We are also going, you need to go to the 'Wacky Warehouse' for the 'Build…."

"Ssssst, she doesn't know that!" Robert interrupted her.

Mary had loved her party and all her friends made beautiful bears. She even helped Edith with picking out a bear.

Robert and Cora just watched from the side. Cora leaned in on Robert. "We are lucky, did you know that!"

"We have had our trials dear?" Robert answered

Cora's face got sad for a second. "I know, but darling, we still have each other. We only grew closer, and I count myself lucky to have you. Many couples lose each other after child loss, I found more peace in you than in myself. So yes, I dare say we are lucky."

Robert took her hands and just smiled at her. He knew she spoke the truth.
