A/N: In April 2021 a very small chapter for a new story showed up on the site, it was called "Every little thing she does is magic" by FFgeek94, and it insinuated that Arizona would open that door to the on-call room instead of locking it. I was so excited about the story because I really liked the idea behind it and I don't remember reading any other stories about Arizona choosing not to cheat that stormy night. I contacted the author encouraging to continue writing but never received a reply.
Unfortunately the story has since disappeared from Fanfiction and it seems like the author is not using the site anymore which is such a shame because it was a story I was the most excited about back then.
So, since it is another Calzona thing I would really like to be changed, I have decided to write my own version of the same idea.
Note: The timeline of episodes 9x23/24 is not strictly followed.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, just my imagination.
The storm was going wild outside, everyone was tired from the bus incident and all Callie wanted in that moment was to find Arizona, pick up Sofia from daycare and just go to the room where they had set up the beds, be together while the storm rages through the city preventing them from going home.
Callie had already checked the whole Peds ward but she couldn't find Arizona, and now she was in the NICU and she didn't see her there either. She headed towards the nurses' station to check if they knew where she might be. The lights flickered as the flash of lightning created a sudden glow outside, followed by a loud roll of thunder that filled the space around her. Callie stopped in her tracks as everything went dark and directed her eyes through the large windows. Another lightning hit and she saw the gusts of wind swaying the trees from left to right violently as the heavy rain kept on hitting the glass. The darkness lasted for five seconds before the generators kicked in and Callie continued on her way towards the nurses' station.
At that same time, on that same floor, Arizona was inside the on-call room, standing at the door, pressing the door handle down.
"Arizona, you are allowed to lose a little bit of control…" the words echoed in the room as the ground shook with another roll of thunder.
Arizona stared at the door in front of her, not moving for a few moments, thinking about the words Lauren had just spoken. She half-turned around, still holding the handle down.
"Actually… what I need is quite the opposite. I need to finally take some control back. I had no control over the plane crashing, I had no control over losing my leg, I had no control over many things that have happened in the past year but this… here…" she moved her hand pointing at Lauren and then back at herself, "this I have control over. Have a nice flight, kissing you back was a mistake, I just want to go find my wife, and my daughter and be with them right now," she finished and quickly stepped out of the room. She wanted to close her eyes and just breathe for a few seconds, but instead she rushed towards the bathroom as thoughts raced through her head.
What the hell was that!? I kissed her back, why did I kiss her back!? I'm married, what was I thinking!? God, does this mean I could cheat on Calliope? The thought alone made her feel sick to her stomach. She ran into the bathroom and quickly placed her hand under the water, she took some soap and rubbed it over her lips as tears filled her eyes. Am I that screwed up that after everything we've been through this year I was just gonna sleep with some random doctor who showed interest in me? I barely know the woman! WTF Arizona!, her mind raced as she kept on rubbing the soap over her lips. She put her trembling hand under the water again and washed the soap off of her lips before she looked up in the mirror and when she saw her own reflection she closed her eyes and quickly turned around, I can't even stand to look at myself right now… She dried her lips with her sleeve quickly while rushing to the door. I need a few minutes to gather my thoughts and compose myself, she decided in her head as she stepped out. She looked around and then saw the sign "Storage room"to her left and immediately headed there.
"No, yeah, I'm sure she's around, okay thanks, I'll find her," Callie told the nurse she was speaking to and started walking down the hall, she walked past another hall to her left and considered walking to daycare, Maybe Arizona went to find Sofia, she thought when it suddenly felt like she saw Arizona in the corner of her left eye.
"Arizona!?" she called and walked backwards a few steps. The hall was empty but she saw the door to the storage come to a close. That really did seem like it was her, Callie thought and decided to go into the room and check.
Once inside the room, Arizona rested her forehead against the cold metal upright frame as she tried to calm down but her thoughts were still racing. How could I kiss that woman… if the generators hadn't kicked in, would I have taken her clothes off? Would I have stayed there with her? Would I have slept with her? Would I have cheated on Calliope? She couldn't help the sickening feeling developing in her abdomen again at the thought as her eyes watered. She closed her eyes and tried to take a long breath.
"Arizona?" Callie called as she entered the room making Arizona turn around in shock.
"Calliope!"
"Hey, I've been looking everywhere for you."
"Oh…, yeah, sorry I just needed a few moments to gather my thoughts…," Arizona said as she turned away a bit and wiped her eyes off quickly.
"Are you okay?" Callie asked worriedly.
"I'm fine…, just stuff…, you know… as always… I just need a few moments… Um, you want to meet down in the nursery? I was thinking of getting Sofia, with that storm outside you know, I'd rather she was with us and…"
"Arizona you are not okay, what's wrong?" Callie said softly, her eyes intently focused on her wife.
"Nothing's wrong, I just need a few moments," Arizona tried deflecting but couldn't make herself look into Callie's eyes. She noticed Callie approaching and knew she wouldn't be able to hold it together if Callie stuck around.
"Callie really, you don't have to stay, I'll just take a few moments and then I can meet you downstairs."
"Arizona, I am not going anywhere," Callie whispered softly as she came close to Arizona and attempted to wrap her arms around her.
"No, Calliope please… you shouldn't hug me now… I don't deserve it…" Arizona protested as she tried to push Callie away.
"What are you talking about, come here," Callie said tenderly as she took Arizona into her arms making her immediately burst into sobs.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong honey?" Callie asked as she ran her hand up and down Arizona's back.
Arizona pushed herself out of Callie's embrace and wiped her tears off, "Please, Calliope, just go, I'll be fine," she said keeping her head down.
"Stop telling me to go, Arizona! I am not going anywhere!" Callie insisted adamantly as she placed her fingers under Arizona's chin. "Will you please tell me what's wrong?" she spoke more softly, searching for Arizona's eyes.
"I kissed another woman…" Arizona whispered without looking up and felt Callie's fingers disappear from her chin. Arizona's heart immediately sank and she suddenly found it hard to breathe.
Callie stood there in silence, not moving. This was not what she expected to hear, she thought it would be about the leg, or the crash, or maybe the storm, but this, this she wasn't prepared for.
"You kissed another woman…" Callie slowly repeated Arizona's words as her hand dropped next to her own body.
Arizona started sobbing again as she nodded her head and let her body slump to the floor, she sat down and leaned against the shelf behind her. "I told you I didn't deserve your hug…" she whispered.
"Who is she?" Callie asked distantly.
"Dr. Boswell, the woman who came to do Tyler's surgery."
Callie kept on standing in the same spot, processing the news. "Did you…?" she whispered wearily not being able to finish the sentence.
Arizona suddenly looked up, "What!? No! It was just a kiss, the lights went out and then she kissed me. It took me by surprise but I kissed her back. It was maybe five seconds, and when the lights came back I pushed her away and then came here…"
Callie kept silent for a few moments, taking in Arizona's words. "So, she kissed you?" Callie asked slowly, accentuating the pronoun she, "When the lights went out?"
"Yes, but I kissed her back…" Arizona explained.
"For five seconds…" Callie stated as her brain finally took in the whole situation. She smiled and sat down next to Arizona.
"Calliope what are you doing? Why aren't you angry? You should be angry!"
"Why would I be angry? A woman kissed you and you are sitting here with me, and not there with her."
"But I kissed her back!"
"For five seconds, yes I heard you," Callie said and lifted Arizona's chin up, she leaned forward and covered Arizona's lips with her own, counting the five seconds in her head.
"There, that was five seconds," she said with a smile as she pulled back.
Arizona stared at Callie with tears in her eyes.
"Please kiss me again…" she whispered and Callie smiled before she let their lips meet once more.
Arizona pushed her fingers inside Callie's hair and pulled her closer, allowing herself to get lost in the kiss. She opened her mouth and gasped when she felt Callie's tongue react to the invitation and touch her own. She pushed herself harder into Callie and deepened the kiss as Callie wrapped her hands around Arizona's waist. They let their lips and tongues explore each other for a few minutes before they broke the kiss slowly.
Arizona pulled back and caressed Callie's cheek with her thumb not shying away from looking into Callie's eyes this time.
"It's been a while since you've kissed me like that…" Callie whispered.
Arizona let out a heavy sigh. She rested her back against the shelf and placed her head on Callie's shoulder.
"I'm sorry about that… this year has just been so…"
"I know…" Callie interrupted with a whisper as she took Arizona's left hand and started caressing it.
"I'm sorry for shutting you out… I'm sorry for yelling at you… I'm sorry for pushing you away…" Arizona said as tears filled her eyes.
"It's okay… I should have tried to understand more what you were going through…" Callie said as she squeezed Arizona's hand.
"No, it's not okay," Arizona protested shaking her head, "I behaved like a monster at times…"
Callie chuckled, "That you did…, but a cute monster nonetheless," she said and made Arizona laugh. Arizona leaned forward and kissed Callie softly before she sighed heavily again and placed her head back on Callie's shoulder. There was silence for a few moments before Arizona spoke again.
"Calliope… I'm afraid…" she whispered.
"Of what?" Callie asked softly.
"What if someone else shows up and I cheat on you…"
Callie distanced her body away so she could look at Arizona.
"Did you feel anything?" she asked.
"What do you mean?"
"When she kissed you, did you feel anything special?"
"No," Arizona shook her head, "I just started thinking about you…and Sofia…" she explained as her eyes dropped, still feeling too guilty to hold the gaze with Callie's eyes.
Callie paused for a few moments and then lifted Arizona's chin up.
"When you kissed me for the first time," she started as she looked into Arizona's eyes, "… in that bathroom at Joe's… all of my senses reacted, and it was only three seconds… three seconds and I knew there was something special in that kiss," Callie explained as she trailed her fingers over Arizona's lips and smiled softly.
"That night…" Arizona started in low voice, "I don't know if I ever told you this, I saw you were upset and I just wanted to see you smile. I had noticed you around the hospital and I wanted to find a way to approach you but I was never gonna do it in some bar's bathroom," she chuckled before she continued, "but that evening… you were so sad, and I just wanted to make you smile…" she smiled at Callie as she placed her right palm on Callie's cheek.
"And I thought if I told you how amazing everyone thought you are, you would smile, I never planned on kissing you just like that, but once we were alone in that bathroom suddenly I felt like the world had disappeared and I felt so drawn to you…, and then you laughed at my comment about people lining up for you…, and just seeing you smile… my knees went weak, and I felt butterflies in my stomach. In that instant I just wanted to let you know I wanted to be the first in that line and when I realized you weren't picking up on what I was insinuating, there was only one thought in my head, 'I want her and I have to make it clear…' and I couldn't stop staring at your lips, and God, you were so beautiful, with your soulful eyes and your gorgeous lips opening up into a smile…, I felt mesmerized, I felt pulled towards you and when my lips touched yours… I think I forgot I should breathe… and my heart skipped several beats..."
Arizona traced her fingers over Callie's lips slowly, "And at that moment I knew that if you ever said yes I would be falling for you like I had never fallen for any woman before."
Callie smiled and let her thumb caress Arizona's bottom lip before she leaned forward and let their lips meet again. Arizona buried her fingers into Callie's hair and pulled her closer. They both got lost in the kiss, letting their lips and tongues massage one another. When their lips parted, they let their foreheads rest against one another.
"I love you so much…" Arizona whispered as one tear rolled down her right cheek while another one threatened to fall on the other one.
Callie smiled softly, "I love you too," she said and wiped Arizona's left eye tenderly.
Arizona let her head lean against Callie's hand, "Calliope…, I think I need help…" she whispered.
"I'll help with whatever you need…"
"No…, I mean professional help… I need to talk to a therapist… I should have done that months ago…"
Callie sighed, "Okay," she replied softly as she nodded her head and pulled Arizona into an embrace and kissed her temple tenderly. "Maybe I should join you on some sessions too," she added while her fingers slowly ran through Arizona's hair.
Arizona tightened her grip around Callie's waist and buried her head into Callie's neck, "I would like that," she whispered.
They stayed in each other's arms, not speaking, enjoying the moment of closeness when the sound of Arizona's pager filled the room.
Arizona sighed heavily.
"Duty calls…" she said as she removed her arms from Callie's body and distanced herself slowly.
Callie smiled at her and tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
"How about I walk you to the ward and then I'll go check on Sofia in daycare."
"Okay," Arizona smiled and kissed Callie's lips one more time before she started getting up.
Callie stood up quickly and offered her hand to Arizona, "Here, let me help you."
Arizona took Callie's hand and allowed her to help her up, surprising them both how easy and natural it suddenly felt. There was no hesitation in Callie's offer and no hesitation in Arizona accepting the help. Once on their feet their eyes reflected the awe mixed with the surprise they both felt. What to anyone else would seem like a random moment of one person helping another one get up, for them held so much more meaning, it held all the moments when Arizona refused help making Callie feel weary of Arizona's reaction every time she was offering it.
Arizona smiled sadly seeing all those moments flash in her mind. When her eyes met Callie's teary eyes she knew Callie was remembering the same things. Words were not needed, they both understood what the other one was feeling. Callie smiled back softly and leaned forward. She kissed Arizona tenderly and squeezed her hand, thus letting her know that even though the memories were painful, it was okay.
"Let's go save some babies!" Callie said as she tugged Arizona's hand towards the door making Arizona smile with relief.
When they entered the NICU they were immediately met with the chaos inside. Alex approached them and whispered so that only the two of them could hear.
"We are short on staff, we have more babies than we can monitor and the parents are getting close to freaking out, Robbins you need to calm them down, and Torres we could use an extra set of hands."
"Sure, I can stick around!" Callie nodded her head as Arizona stepped to the center of the room.
"Okay, everyone listen up, everything is fine, all of our staff is very well trained, your babies are in good hands," she assured in a calm tone.
"I want my child transferred out of this hospital!" one of the parents demanded.
"Paul, I know you are worried, but your baby is safer here than she is outside, the storm is raging, it is not safe to transfer any patients right now, let alone babies. They are among the doctors and nurses here, and that's the best place for them right now."
Paul nodded his head, "You are right, yes, it's much safer right here..."
Other parents nodded their heads in acceptance and Arizona let out an inaudible sigh of relief, she went back to Alex and Callie when the electricity started crackling and suddenly everything went dark.
The parents quickly went into panic mode again, voicing their concerns about the ventilators that were now suddenly without power causing Alex to raise his voice.
"Everybody calm down! The vents have batteries and they will automatically switch, no need to panic people!" he turned back to Arizona and Callie.
"How long will the batteries last?" he asked
"They should last an hour, maybe two, but go with Wilson and see if you can find any spare batteries too," Arizona said as her eyes saw Lauren enter the room.
Callie caught the panic expression on Arizona's face and turned around.
"God! What is she doing here? I'm sorry Callie, she shouldn't be here…", Arizona voiced and started feeling nervous all over again.
Callie turned around and looked at her, "Hey, it's fine, it doesn't matter, one more doctor is good for the babies," she said with a small smile. "I'll be right back!" she said and started walking towards Lauren.
"Callie, what are you doing!?" Arizona whispered in panic but Callie just waved her hand.
"I was gonna get some sleep but then the generators died and I figured I'd better come out here and help out," Boswell explained when Callie approached her.
"Yeah, we could really use some help, you can go cover that corner over there," Callie pointed at the opposite side of the room. "We are waiting for some extra batteries, so for now we are just gonna make sure all the machines are working properly."
"Okay, sure," Lauren nodded her head as her eyes travelled to where Arizona was standing.
Callie moved in front of Lauren and blocked her view.
"That's my wife by the way, and if you go for her lips again, I won't be this nice anymore," Callie said before she walked away leaving Lauren with her mouth wide open. Callie got closer to Arizona and leaned over giving her a quick peck on the lips.
"Everything is fine," she answered Arizona's unspoken question before she started checking on the baby in front of her.
Arizona smiled and turned her attention back to the other baby while Lauren stood in place for a few moments in shock, before finally making her way to the corner of the room.
A few minutes past when Alex showed up with a worrying expression on his face.
"Don't tell me…" Arizona whispered knowing exactly what the look meant.
Alex shook his head in defeat, "No extra batteries…" he whispered.
"Crap… okay, we need to make a plan," Arizona said and thought for a few seconds, "if the power doesn't come back we will have to bag them manually…"
"There are not enough of us…" Callie added in low voice.
Arizona looked around and sighed, "I guess we'll have to teach the parents how to do it…"
Callie lifted her head up and tried to hide the worry on her face, "Let's hope we won't get to that."
"Yeah," Alex confirmed and went to check on some babies.
"I'll go check on the babies over there," Arizona informed and went to the other side while Callie stayed with the babies next to the door.
She turned around and saw Derek bringing a baby into the room.
"Derek!" Callie exclaimed in surprise, "Wait! Did Meredith…? Is that your baby?"
"Yes, it's our baby."
"Wow! Congrats! Is everything okay?" Callie asked as Arizona came to them.
"Derek?" Arizona addressed him, worry audible in her voice.
"Hey, meet the little Shepherd," Derek said with a smile, "I just wanted you to check him out, just in case."
"Oh, okay, sure let's see," Arizona said with relief as she took the baby boy into her arms and placed him on the nearby table.
Arizona examined the baby and handed him back into Derek's arms. "He's doing great, everything is fine. Congratulations!" she said with a smile.
"Thanks, both of you" Derek replied with a smile, "I see you have your hands full, do you want to me to go see if there are any residents available to come and help?"
"Yes, that would be great actually!" Arizona said as she looked around, if the power doesn't come back soon it will be a stretch."
"Okay, I'll send some reinforcement up here," he said and left the room as Arizona and Callie went back to monitor the babies.
Two hours later the power was still down and they had already prepared the parents to be able to help if the batteries started giving up on them. Arizona and Callie were next to each other bagging the two babies whose vents weren't working anymore, and Arizona would look up every now and then to scan the room and check if everything was under control but every time she looked up she also had to see Lauren, there was no way to avoid her. And every time she saw her, she felt guilt find its way into her body. She looked down again and sighed heavily.
"What's that sigh about?" Callie asked as she kept on squeezing the ventilation bag.
"I wish I didn't have to look at her…" Arizona explained and Callie turned around to see what she meant.
"You don't have to." Callie said and moved around. "Here, switch places with me and I'll be the one directing my if-looks-could-kill-type-of-gaze her way," Callie said and made Arizona laugh softly.
"Thank you," Arizona whispered as they switched places.
"No problem, I'll do it with pleasure!" Callie said with a wink and Arizona chuckled and took a deep breath grateful that Callie was there with her.
Thirty minutes later the power finally came back and everything started going back to normal. The storm settled down soon as well and Callie went to check on Sofia while Arizona talked to the staff members who finally managed to reach the hospital, and brought them up to speed. It was early morning when Callie and Arizona finally left the hospital with Sofia giggling happily in Callie's arms.
"Gosh I am so exhausted, how is she so full of energy?" Arizona uttered yawning heavily.
"Well unlike us she has had a full night of sleep, they said that all the kids slept like logs throughout the night, they were completely oblivious to the storm, the power outage, and have no idea what went on last night."
"Oh, that's good," Arizona said with a smile on her face as she caressed Sofia's hand.
"Yeah, the only problem now is that we have to last until it's time for her nap and I'm already half-asleep as we speak," Callie said before she yawned as well.
"Yeah, me too… well we can snuggle on the couch with her and just rest."
"Yeah, unless she starts jumping up and down."
Arizona laughed and took Callie's hand. "As long as we are all together I'll be happy," she said softly and smiled. Callie squeezed her hand back and leaned over to give Arizona a kiss on the cheek and Sofia leaned over too.
"Me, me," she said with excitement and made both Callie and Arizona laugh.
"Oh you want to kiss mama too?" Callie asked with amusement.
"Yes!" Sofia giggled.
"Okay," Callie replied and helped Sofia get closer to Arizona to give her a kiss, and Arizona smiled warmly and kissed Sofia back making her squeak with joy.
"Mommy kiss," Sofia demanded as she turned her cheek to Callie too, making both Callie and Arizona laugh out loud.
Callie pressed her lips against Sofia's cheek and blew some air into it, causing Sofia to let out a fit of happy giggles.
Arizona smiled broadly as she caressed her daughter's hair and looked lovingly at her wife and her daughter grateful to have them next to her after everything that happened last night.
Several hours later they were snuggled on the couch while Sofia was taking a nap. Playing with Sofia throughout the morning made their bodies wake up so neither of them felt like sleeping anymore and they decided to simply enjoy being relaxed in each other's arms. Arizona was leaning into Callie, both her arms wrapped around Callie's body while her head rested in the crook of Callie's neck. Callie had her left arm around Arizona's waist and at one moment she unconsciously started caressing Arizona's left thigh with her fingers. A few minutes passed when Callie became aware of what she was doing and suddenly stopped as her body tensed up. Her mind was about to enter panic mode worrying that Arizona will mind Callie touching her stump, but Arizona's voice stopped her mind from going there.
"It's nice, don't stop…," she said dreamily as she placed her own fingers on top of Callie's and guided them to continue with the caressing.
Callie closed her eyes and smiled, "I've missed moments like this…"
"Me too…" Arizona agreed and sighed.
Several minutes of silence passed and then Callie felt Arizona's body start to tense slightly, she immediately stopped the movement of her fingers, "Is it too much?" she asked.
"Hmm?" Arizona mumbled questioningly, lost in thoughts a bit.
"My touch, is it too long, too much?"
"Oh, no, no, I'm really enjoying it," Arizona explained.
"So what's wrong then?" Callie asked.
"What do you mean?" Arizona replied, her head still resting against Callie's body.
"I can feel that your body language changed, you're more tense, and your head is somewhere else…," Callie explained.
Arizona let out a heavy sigh, "Sometimes it's scary how well you know me," she said as she sat up and nervously started twisting her fingers.
Callie took Arizona's hands into her own, "Please talk to me Arizona, we have made such massive steps today, don't shut me out now after all that."
Arizona nodded her head, "I've been thinking about all that happened with Dr. Boswell over the past two days."
"What happened?" Callie whispered, starting to feel nervous suddenly.
"She flirted with me from the moment we met… and it felt good to be noticed, it felt good to have that feeling that I was desired again. Despite of my disability, she knew…, and yet she still went after me, and I feel bad now that I was enjoying it but Callie, in those moments, I felt like the old me again, I felt like the woman who turned heads, I felt like the old me who could easily get attention from whoever I wanted… and I realized I miss that, I miss being desired, everyone who knows me from before at that hospital always has this sadness in their eyes when they talk to me, and it really felt good not to see that sadness in someone's eyes. She reminded me of the person I miss being…"
Callie squeezed Arizona's hand, "I still want you and desire you Arizona," she whispered.
"How?" Arizona asked with tears in her eyes. "How can you? I'm missing a leg, I am not the same, my body is different…"
Callie tilted her head to the left and even though her own eyes got misty as well, she decided to make things lighter, "So you think I fell for you because of your leg? Really? I mean it was a great leg, but do you really think your left leg was the reason I fell in love with you and found you sexy and gorgeous? You think all my desire and love was based on your left leg?" Callie teased and made Arizona laugh out loud.
"Okay, point made," Arizona said with a smile, "but you know what I mean..." she added as she looked down.
"Arizona…," Callie whispered as she placed her fingers under Arizona's chin and lifted her head up. "I love you because of who you are in here," she said as she placed her hand on Arizona's heart, "and in here," she added before she kissed Arizona's head, "and I'm gonna be awfully insensitive right now and ask for your permission to start ogling you again, undress you with my eyes any chance I get, let my fingers roam along your body if we end up alone in the elevator, even push you inside an on-call room whenever I want."
Arizona laughed out loud, "We might get in trouble with a behavior like that, I can already see the look on Bailey's face when she calls us into her office," Arizona said joyfully.
"We can always play your leg card and say it's a part of your therapy," Callie kept on teasing and made Arizona laugh again.
"Oh that's a good idea!" Arizona agreed and leaned forward to press her lips over Callie's.
"Thank you for making me laugh," Arizona said with a soft smile.
"Oh I was being serious, I really want to do all those things again, and this as well," Callie said as she kissed Arizona's neck.
"Mmmm," Arizona mumbled.
"And this," Callie added as she let her tongue roll over Arizona's collarbone making Arizona let out a soft moan.
Callie moved her head up and let their lips meet as she pushed herself against Arizona making her lie on her back. She pushed herself up on her left elbow and looked into Arizona's eyes.
"My desire for you hasn't changed, honey, it's still there…"
"I can see that…" Arizona whispered as she swallowed hard seeing all the want radiating from Callie's eyes.
"I want you too…," Arizona whispered. "It's just… I might need you to help me feel comfortable with that desire again," Arizona whispered as her eyes got misty again.
"Is that a permission to ogle you?" Callie teased.
Arizona laughed wholeheartedly, she took a pause and then added in a more sultry way, "Ogle away, Dr. Torres."
Callie smiled broadly hearing Arizona pull out the term they used to play with.
"Well, in that case I will first have to examine you, Ms. Robbins, and I will start with this," she said as she pushed her hand inside Arizona's top and cupped her breast. Arizona arched her back and let out a satisfying moan.
"It's Dr. Robbins," Arizona corrected.
"Oh really? Are you gonna examine my body too then, Dr. Robbins?" Callie continued playing.
"I most certainly will," Arizona said as she suddenly pulled Callie's top up and let her fingers roam over Callie's skin before her lips joined them as well.
Callie took Arizona's head and caught her lips in a heated kiss.
"I love you so much, Calliope" Arizona mumbled in between kisses.
"I love you too honey," Callie said as she pushed Arizona towards the sofa again getting lost in Arizona's lips as they let passion take over their minds and bodies, leaving the past behind and opening the door to a new beginning.

THE END

A/N: I have finally written a non-M rated story, yay me! LOL ;-) This was intended as a one-shot and will stay like that, I have already written another story (Trust Your Heart) where I explored their journey back to each other with therapy and working on their relationship, so it would be too similar to go into here as well.
FFgeek94 if you're still around please go back to your story, I'd really like to read what you had in mind :-).
