Chapter 71-Their attacks

Miller's P.O.V

Trees and bushes hid miller, Roan, Emori, and Echo as they looked at the Azgeda capital. "So this is Azgeda," Emori says.

"Yeah," Echo says. "We need to find somewhere to set camp. They won't be up for a little while."

"Follow me," Roan says as he starts to walk away. They follow the former Azgeda prince for about 15 minutes to arrive at a small building.

"What is this?" Miller asks.

"My mother made it. It's where she kept Ontari at first. Nobody comes this way," Roan says as he pushes the door open. "I'll get a fire going."

Octavia's P.O.V

Octavia rode in front of the group with Kane beside her and Harper and Monty behind them. "How far are we from the dropship?" Harper asks.

"Ten minutes," Octavia says.

"Why did you bring us?" Monty asks.

"More hands, and you could use something to do," Octavia says. "And who knows what Lucy is up to? She could be sending people after Trikru villages. We'll need help if we run into anybody," Monty nods as they continue to ride in silence. They stop in front of the dropship. "Harper, keep watch," Octavia orders the blond, who nods. Octavia, Kane, and Monty walk into the dropship and climb up the ladder onto the second floor. Kane walks over to a part of the wall and pulls the metal off, revealing bags of guns, ammo, and bombs. "You said you took some. You could have armed Arkadia with this," Octavia says.

Kane was about to move when they heard a noise below them. They climb down the ladder as the door to the dropship closes. "Harper, what are you doing?" Monty asks.

"They're here," Harper says.

Philip's P.O.V

Philip stared at the dropship and then looked at Logan. "Who's your best soldier?" Philip asks him.

"Eddie," Logan says. A man walks forward and looks at Logan.

"I want the other two dead. Capture the Skaikru leader and Lexa's general," Philip orders him.

"Yes, sir,"

"I'll leave 100 men with you. Have the ones with shields up front, remember they have guns, and they could have explosives, and this ship might go off, be ready to guard yourselves with shields," Philip tells Eddie, who nods.

"I won't let you down, sir."

"If they do get away, you best kill yourself. We'll be at Outcast Falls by nightfall," With those words, Logan, Philip, and the rest of their men leave. Leaving Eddie and a hundred men in front of the dropship.

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy rode at the front of his group with Raven beside him. He stops his horse when their scouts come back. "There is a group of Azgeda warriors at the river in front of us."

"That river leads in the Shadow Valley clan territory," Lincoln says.

"Lucy has people guarding the Shadow Valley clan," Bellamy says.

"How many?" Murphy asks.

"20," The scout says.

"Why so little?" Nyko asks.

"Because she has then at every entrance into the territory," Murphy says. "We have to kill them. Raven, take four archers with you and try and get in the trees without being noticed. Bellamy takes five men and flanks their left. Lincoln take five men and flank their right. That leaves with me with fifteen men. Ontari go with Bellamy, Nyko go with Lincoln," Murphy orders. "We'll give you five minutes, and then we'll go."

Everybody nods as they slowly disperse.

Octavia's P.O.V

Octavia sat with her back against the door. "What do we do?" Harper asks.

"We could go under the dropship like we did when Murphy attacked Bellamy," Jasper offers.

"They have our horses. There are four of us," Kane says.

"I don't imagine this thing will still fly?" Octavia asks Monty, who shakes his head. "Then we need a distraction."

"What do you suggest?" Kane asks.

"I'll open the door and keep them busy, and you guys will run like hell," Octavia says as she stands up.

"You want us to leave you?" Monty asks.

"We don't know how many men are out there," Octavia says. "I'll distract them long enough for you guys to get away and then shut the door, and then I'll hide on the second floor until you get to Lexa and get back here," Octavia says. "It's probably Kane and me they want. This is our best option."

"No," Kane says. "Let me stay,"

"Skaikru needs their leader. I'm just a general. I can be replaced. Skiakru won't find a better leader," Octavia refuses.

"You're my daughter,"

"I'm also the general of Lexa's army," Octavia says. "I'll be okay. I need you to trust me. They'll be more focused on me."

"I'm not leaving," Kane says firmly. Octavia sighs.

"You two go then," Octavia says. "Get to Polis."

Monty and Harper nod as they go to the panel, and Octavia and Kane go up the ladder.

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy rode his horse through the horse towards the river with his fifteen men behind him. He sees the river as an arrow goes into one of the Azgeda men's throats. Murphy pulls out his ax and swings it down, cutting off the head of an Azgeda warrior. He quickly dismounts his horse and blocks a swing from another warrior. He swings his ax through the man's stomach cutting him in half as Bellamy and Lincoln's groups come from the left and the right and start to attack the men. Murphy ducks under a swing and swings his ax into the man's heart. He lets his ax go and ducks under a swing from another man. He pulls out the gun and shoots two warriors in the chest as Raven shoots the last man in the eye with her bow. The clear water turned red as blood poured into it. Murphy put the gun away, pulled his ax out of the man's chest, and put it on his back.

"How many did we lose?" Murphy asks Bellamy.

"Two, from what I can see, we did good," Bellamy says.

"Burn these bodies. Five of you go and get the horses," Murphy orders. They nod as they start to get to work.

Kane's P.O.V

Kane stood by the door as Octavia looked down at Harper and Monty. "You two ready?"

"Yeah," Harper says.

"The second the first shot goes off, you run like hell," Octavia tells the two, who nods. Octavia closes the panel and walks over to Kane, and nods. Kane pulls the lever, and the door starts to lower. They get to the two sides of the door, and Kane pulls the pin on a grenade and throws it into the crowd. The two move away from the wall and start to shoot through the smoke the grenade created. Octavia throws another grenade as Kane reloads and continues to shoot. Kane looks at Octavia as a gunshot goes off from outside, and a bullet goes through Octavia's side, sending her on her back.

"Octavia!" Kane shouts as he pulls the lever, and the door starts to rise. He shoots a warrior as he runs to the door, and then he runs over to Octavia, who was holding her side. "We gotta get up to the second floor."

"Are they gone?"

Kane goes over to the panel and sees that Monty and Harper are gone. "Yes, now come in," Kane says as he helps her up. He gets her to the ladder, and they climb up. Kane between the hatch and the ladder, keeping it shut as he grabs some medical supplies. "Let's clean you up."

Emerson's P.O.V

Emerson walks out of the trees and towards Eddie and his men. "I hit the general."

Eddie looks at him. "Why the hell are you out here?" Eddie asks.

"Lucy told me to kill the Blake's. Octavia is in there," Emerson says.

"Philip wants her alive," Eddie says.

"I think Lucy has more authority over Philip. I got her in the hip, she'll either die in there or try and run, and then I'll kill her. How many are in there?"

"Four," Eddie answers.

"Wrong, there are two, Marcus Kane and Octavia Blake. So that means either the other two are hiding, or they have another way out," Emerson growls.

"I'll send men to look," Eddie says.

"No point," Emerson says. "They don't matter anyway. We want what is in that dropship. We have until morning before the Commander arrives here. Let's get to work and figure out a way into that fucking dropship," Emerson says to the men who nod.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa was looking at reports she had gotten from scouts. It was dark outside. She looked at the door as Clarke came in. "We aren't going to win this war if you are tired. You need rest," Clarke says as she comes over to her.

"I know. Octavia, Kane, Monty, and Harper aren't back. Aren't you worried?" Lexa asks.

"Of course I am," Clarke says. "But the bunker's far. It took Bellamy and me a long time to get there on foot. They may have stopped for the night," Clarke reassures her.

Lexa nods as the door opens, and Monty and Harper come in, panting and sweating. "What's wrong?" Lexa asks as she stands up.

"Octavia...Kane...dropship," Monty says, panting.

"What?" Clarke asks.

Monty takes a deep breath. "Kane and Octavia are trapped in the dropship surrounded by Azgeda warriors."

"Tell the guard to gather our army. We ride in an hour," Lexa orders the two, who nods as they leave. Clarke and Lexa follow.

Philip's P.O.V

A bright fire could be seen from the woods as trees burnt and steel clashed in and out of Outcast Falls. Philip dodges a swing from a warrior and stabs him through the stomach. He throws him to the ground and kills another. The fight only lasted about ten more minutes before bodies littered the floor. Both Azgeda and Outcastkru. "Sir, what do we do about the people who ran?" Logan asks.

"Let them go. I want them to know what we did," Philip says as he sees a man crawling towards his sword. Philip walks over to him, kicks the sword, and then bends down.

"Wanheda will avenge us," He growls.

"Maybe, maybe not, but you won't be there to see it," Philip pulls out his dagger and stabs him in the chin. His body stiffens as Phillip pulls his dagger out and lets the body fall to the ground. He looks at Logan. "Let's burn this place to the ground," He tells Logan, who nods. They started to kill the people that were alive and started to burn buildings. Philip was the last person to leave Outcast Falls as it burnt.

Kane's P.O.V

Kane looked at Octavia as she leaned against his shoulder. He had cleaned up his shoulder to the best of his ability. "How are you feeling?"

"Like I was shot," Octavia says. "I don't want to die."

"You're aren't going to die," Kane reassures her. "I won't let you. It's just a shoulder wound,"

"People have died from less," Octavia says. "There is always a chance, Kane. Look, if it does happen I-"

"It's not going to happen," Kane says, cutting her off. "Okay?"

"Okay," Octavia says as she takes a deep breath.

"You're going to live. I can't lose you, Octavia. Just hold on. They're coming, I know it."

Thanks for reading. Octavia is hurt, and they are surrounded. Murphy is close to the villages, and Outcast Falls has fallen. Next chapter, Murphy makes his move, Octavia fights for her life, and Jasper deals with losing his home. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
