Wealth, Fame, and Power! W. D. Gaster, The King of The Pirates, had all those and the rest of what the world had to offer! Through many battles and trials, he had reached the pinnacle of the world's virtues and had nothing left but an illness that plagued him.
He brought himself in and was held at a worldwide public execution. Before he was executed, a man from the crowd asked:
"Where did you hide all your treasure?!"
To which the King of Pirates smiled and said:
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left the most important treasure in the world on an island! Go and find it! 'For the next pirate that finds the UnderPiece, will be claimed the new King of The Pirates!"
Those were his final words before he was executed. He smiled to his death.
With those words, the world was flipped upside down as he created The Golden Pirate Era! People and already existing pirates from around the works started to sail the seas in search of the treasure that W. D. Gaster claimed to be-
The UnderPiece!
It had been Twenty Years since, and people have yet to find the treasure he was talking about. Except for one girl, who is now going to change the world by storm for the sake of her people.
This is the story of Muffet D. Baker and her way to becoming Queen of the Pirates!
The sounds of shoe soles eagerly tapping the marble floor echoed throughout the grand and pearly room.
Admiral Red Von Suitel was slowly tapping her wooden pole against the edge of the oval table that spanned the entire room.
She was always the most attentive to her duties. When Fleet Admiral Grillby ushered a meeting with all the current admirals, vice admirals, and available Warlords, she was the first to arrive.
However, the second to arrive, the most jittery one, was Shyren Batistte, one of the most kind-hearted and wholesome people Red has ever met.
She was a fish woman, she resembled a siren, her skin was a dark greenish-gray. Her hair was a Navy blue that dropped down gloomily down her sides to almost cover her fully blackened eyes.
Her facial expressions always seemed as if she was anxious and sleepy at the same time, although surprisingly, Shyren doesn't sleep. Her body seemed to resemble a serpent's abdomen that made her movements seem creepy and sinister.
If she actually acted the part, she'd be the most fear-inducing creature on the planet.
Well...second-most.
However, Shyren is an admiral, which you wouldn't be able to tell if she didn't wear her standard Admiral coat cloak that had the ancient symbol of "Supreme Justice" on the back.
Red herself, as well, proud, and known of her red attire. She only wore a red hood with her "Supreme Justice" cloak coat. The only flesh you could see from her was her hands and the bottom half of her face, besides that, it was complete darkness.
Only a yellow eye gleaned from the darkness of her face. It was more of a dot than an eye.
One by one, the Vice Admirals started to pour in, a bunch of men and women who had served faithfully and pushed their limits for decades.
Red knew that if the World Government and Grillby had to usher this meeting, then this was important.
Most likely regarding the Chaos Clown, Gaia, and of course, the Spider-Girl...
The third Admiral made their appearance. It was a man of tall and broad stature. He wore a blue and white striped suit and dark green hair. He wore his "Supreme Justice" cloak too. He always had this unnerving grin to him.
He was one of the few people in the World Government that didn't deserve his rank.
Morally that is.
As soon as he was addressed. The fourth Admiral walked in.
It was a woman with unruly pink hair that went down to the back of her knees. She wasn't wearing her cloak and instead had on casual vacation clothes.
Her name was Felicia Domes, and no one, absolutely no one, has touched her hair and lived to tell the tale.
People are so scared of causing that crime that everyone sits a couple of seats away from her out of fear.
As much as Red prides herself in her own strength.
Felicia was a monster of a different caliber, her Devil Fruit made her unstoppable, plus her tenacious personality and will, and she would be a great runner up for Fleet Admiral.
As soon as Felicia stepped in, she yawned and looked towards the vast table of high-ranked navy officials. Seeing another woman with pink hair and a glass arm standing in the corner of the room.
She chuckled.
The vice Admirals sat on the seats closest to the door. The Admirals and where the Warlords and Fleet Admiral would sit was near the back end of the room. She already saw most of the invited party was here.
She approached her seat towards the far end of the room.
"Oh, Don Marqueet is here? That's a first! Lululululu~"
The lady bucked her hips forward and gave a hearty laugh.
The room's tension eased up.
"Oh yeah, speaking of deadbeats, Chronus couldn't make it, he has duties to do at Elbaf dealing with...oops! Almost gave away the good part- Lulululu~"
The room got tense again but the mood was still light.
Felicia took her seat and propped her feet on the desk.
This made Shyren scooch her seat back a little and lower her posture. She was always incredibly anxious during meetings.
"You mean the eight-legged bootlegger?"
When Red asked Felicia the question, she only replied with an open-mouth smile. Which usually meant that she was right.
"Hmph, I don't know what he wants with her."
As Red finished that sentence, a heavy breeze filled the room through one of the grand scale windows that were in perfect symmetry along the walls of the white and blue marbled meeting room.
A teenage girl was standing in the frame of the window with hungry eyes. Pupils that seemed demonic. A cloak that was made out of raven feathers and skin of minotaurs.
Short brown hair, red eyes, white skin complexion, and a yellow and green striped shirt underneath the cloak.
The grinning admiral laughed.
"Chara D. Winderfelt!"
Chara lept down from the windowsill onto her assigned chair. Black gooey tendrils appeared out of her shoulder blades and swarmed the room. The Vice Admirals were quite scared of this phenomenon, but the Admirals kept their calm while Chara laughed at their subordinates uncomfortably.
Shyren spoke up.
"H-h-hey C-Chara...h-how many other Warlords a-are showing-g?"
Chara gave her an eerie and sharp head turn.
"Just me, Proximity, and Gemini!"
She gave a demonic giggle afterward. Felicia started to giggle with her.
"So we have the Demon Heir, The Pandemic, and The Affinity? To who do we owe this honor, lulululu~"
Chara got a bit pissed at her sarcasm and raised several tendrils to the admiral's neck. Everyone was tense except for the Admirals.
"Do get smart with me, I don't want to be here as much as you do."
Felicia just laughed. She gave Chara an eye that made Chara scoff and put away her gooey tendrils. The Vice-Admirals were pleased.
Then, a man slammed the doors open. He had a burgundy trench coat and heavy, bulky metal boots. He had pitch-black skin and a husky frame. The tallest person in this room.
He had glowing white eyes with no pupils and glowing sharp white teeth. He had baize horns that barely poked out from his hairless scalp. He had a white shirt underneath that you had to squint to dee past the trench coat.
His aura was cold, he brought an eerie chill down everyone's back.
The man yawned, and then, climbing from the man's left shoulder, as this girl that looked way younger than him. She had an unnecessary amount of pink on her.
She had a pink sweater, pink high-lighted hair connected to her brown hair. A pink skirt, pink leggings, and hot pink rain boots. She wore pink gloves that had a Gemini zodiac sign on them in black.
She just sat on this man's shoulder, the man didn't mind.
Shyren gasped.
"This m-must be, Proximity and G-Gemini?"
Red placed a hand on Shyren's shoulder to calm her down. Shyren let out a sigh and looked down at the ground for the remainder of their entrance.
Chara looked at the fish woman and licked her lips.
She thrived off fear.
Silva Peers approached the table from the corner. Felicia looked at her a grinned. It was rare to see her frown.
Actually, no one has seen her frown ever.
"Why do we need to have The Warlords here for this matter? Doesn't this matter not concern them in the slightest?"
Proximity, who sat on the left of Chara, leaned over the edge of the table and shifted his attention to her. She froze.
He smiled.
"Weren't you that woman who lost to two rookies? Why should you get to speak?"
Everyone who was just merely mumbling was quiet now. The man's voice was so incredibly deep, the people next to him had their ribcage shake because of it.
Silva Peers stumbled back in fear, her left arm was shaking, not because of him, but because of her phantom arm. She was still shaky about that night with Morial.
She had not told everyone in Marine HQ the true story of the matter, she had simply told them that Muffet and Undyne had ambushed and won her unfairly. She hadn't mentioned Morial's form of revival.
Sometimes, under extreme stress or anger or fear, her real arm would begin to tremble uncontrollably. This was one of those times.
Gemini, the pink Warlord just sat on her seat, with a clone of her playing patty cake with herself on the table.
"I don't know why you even bother raising your voice Marine Captain...You're only here to serve as a witness and information relayer for a minute part of this conversation. Leave the accusations and addressing to the big dogs, will you?"
Silva shrunk, metaphorically that is, she felt small in this room now that she thought about it.
She was middle tier in the Captain scale of the Marine Ranks. Everyone else here was in a position far higher than her. Most importantly, three Warlords, and four Admirals. She didn't care about the Warlords, they were just glorified pirates.
She was mostly worried about her absolute and supreme higher-ups, the four Admirals. Most importantly, the one she looked up to currently, Felicia.
Chara laughed.
"Jeez Gem calm down, you're scaring her more than that one over there."
Chara spoke with black gooey liquid pouring from her eyes and mouth when she addressed Shyren, who shrunk in her seat and squealed uncomfortably.
Red slammed her wooden stick on the table, everyone's eyes were now on her.
"Relax you four, I don't want another war happening on these grounds. You're granted permission here, not access, at any time I can-"
A bright flare appeared behind her that made her cut her sentence out of respect.
A fiery hand was placed on her right shoulder. Everyone paid attention to the fire elemental man standing behind her.
"She has a point you know, all of you are granted permission, not access, but I'll be the one to evict you from the premises if anyone causes an unforgivable ruckus on these lands. Do I make myself clear?"
The other Admirals, Vice Admirals, and Silva responded to him accordingly.
The Warlords just scoffed.
Grillby made everyone feel ensured; warm. He always brightened up the room with his presence and vernacular mannerisms. Aside from being a man made out of fire itself. Not from a Devil Fruit.
People have questioned him about his race, but he only says that he comes from a line or Cinders. A purposely made unknown race. However, he was just as bit as human as everyone else here.
Grillby took his seat at the far end seat away from the door. That seat felt more like a throne than just a regular seat.
"Apologies for my tardiness, I was going over some recent bounties and occurrences in the far reaches of the Grand Line...and it seemed that the next generation of pirates is on the rise, the next batch of Rookies."
Everyone in the room got tense and ready for the next batch of information.
"John D. Fitzgerald and the rest of the Agara Pirates are one of the few that catches my eye. His wife and Co-Captain, Claire D. Voyance, are Spider Zoans that instantly shot their bounties and firepower up by all having strong Zoans."
He waited for the rest of his men and women to respond so that he can gauge off their reactions.
One of the Vice-Admirals, a woman who is famously known in the Marine Corp. for rising the ranks extremely fast spoke up. She has a tan skin complexion and white hair that reached down to the back of her thighs. Her arms and legs were made out of Sea Prism Steel and connected to it was a spring-like orange tube that acted as a pump. Half her face was crystallized in a diamond-like gem. She still kept a human and functioning eye on that side, having both dark blue eyes.
"What are their bounties? And how can you be sure they'll make it at the Red Line?"
Grillby gave an enlightened chuckle.
"Well, they both have the middle initial of 'D', so fortune is in their favor. The bounty part is something I would like to discuss with a lot of you."
Everyone's eyebrows raised.
"I plan on having a bounty inflation..."
He waited for someone to speak up. The Vice-Admiral that would always accompany the Vice-Admiral who just spoke, raised his hand. Both him and her were Captains on the same ship of Navy men.
He had a brown skin complexion, short black hair, and was incredibly fit. He had silver eyes.
"Why so?"
Grillby nodded.
"I believe the amount we are willing to offer is seemingly too high. We originally made bounties that high when we were short on men after the Battle of Mt. Ebott. We needed people to help us slow down the menaces of the sea, so we made their bounties incredibly high to encourage morale, and people around the world to help our cause. However, that being said, it has been decades since and we have stabilized, and with this new Warlord system, stopping pirates is extremely less difficult to make happen."
Everyone talked amongst themselves for a bit, the Admirals and Warlords talked the least, if not, at all. Shyren tugged on his Fleet Admiral cape.
"Uh-uh, Grillby sir? How much are we reducing by...not that I'm against it B-but I j-just-"
Grillby patted her on the head. Although he was fire itself, his magical fire was so trained that he could control what he wanted to burn and what not to burn.
He patted her and rubbed her hair to make her feel a bit more secure and warm.
"We are reducing the bounties...by half. For the rookies that is. There are some pirates and Revolutionaries out there that deserve the bounty they have on them."
Some of the people in the room nodded and talked to each other.
Grillby waited a moment.
"In this meeting, I would like to address a few promotions, a new set of targets, address the two major threats that are terrorizing the Grand Line and over time, maybe the world, the positioning of the Warlords...that are currently here; and then-"
Grillby shifted his attention to Silva.
"Then we'll talk about what we'll do next about Muffet D. Baker..."
Everyone got quiet.
Grillby took a short breath.
Don Marqueet, the shady Admiral, stood up.
"First things first, as promised, the promotions."
There was tension in the air, getting promotions in the Navy chain was a big deal. It also was a life achievement, a milestone in strength.
"First up, Ronaldo Torqueline! Second, Christine Callegard! Silva Peers-!"
Everyone went from clapping to silence, even Silva was a bit shocked. All the Admirals just turned to her and gave her a wholesome smile and nod, even Shyren.
She was honestly flattered but scared, why?
The two Vice-Admirals that spoke up, the wooden limb girl and the man with the silver eyes stood up when their name was called and walked next to Don Marqueet. So did Silva after a few moments of re-evaluation.
"Finally, Monster Kid, can you please enter the room."
The doors opened, and a yellow, dinosaur kid with spikes that trailed from the top of his head to the tip of his tail, walked into the room. He was no older than thirteen, a small kid with green eyes, and newly mechanical arms.
He grew a lot.
"This kid fought valiantly with several marine captains and came back to fight even when injured. With mechanical modifications to his limbs, and training underneath Admiral Shyren. We make him Co-Captain to Silva Peers!"
Everyone reluctantly clapped. Monster Kid was the poster child for the Navy as of lately. Before that was Felicia and Shyren's job, but now Monster Kid took the spotlight.
They just didn't agree with the Silva part.
Silva and Monster Kid just stared at each other before acknowledging where they might have seen each other before.
Don Marqueet shook all four of their hands.
"Ronaldo Torqueline and Christie Callegard! You two have fought hard against the being Gaia before in the North Blue after the incident with The Soul Parlour Pirates, and you have still to show fatigue or unrest in your hunts. Although we can't grant you a higher position because the seats are filled, once one of us may leave the seat, you two will take up the spot of Admirals!"
The whole room went ballistic, even the Admirals and Grillby. They clapped for the two as they hugged each other with tears in their eyes.
While this news was announced, Don Marqueet went to Silva and whispered to her with slight murderous intent.
"You will work with Monster Kid in your hunt to get the Soul Parlour Pirates! We know you know something that you aren't telling us for that day, which is why the kid will be our scout. Be successful and you'll be Vice-Admiral officially, if not, then back to the bottom of the barrel for you!"
Silva felt like all the gravity in the universe was collapsing on her. Why was all this happening to her?!
Don Marqueet just smiled cockily and sat back down, everyone else did shortly.
Grillby coughed to alert the room.
"Now that we have the good news out of the way, I wish to excuse everyone from the room, except for the new promoters, and the Warlords...Admirals, you may stay if you want for this part, the rest, I'll call you back when I'm ready."
Everyone heeded his words and left, the only Admiral to leave was Don Marqueet. Shyren, Red, and Felicia stayed.
Ronaldo, Christie, Silva, Monster Kid, and the Warlords were in the room.
Grillby continued.
"The new targets I want to address are the other set of Rookies. The others are Shiv and the Narco Pirates, they seem to be speeding through the Grand Line and are resting currently on a tropical island just short of where the knock upstream is."
Everyone nodded.
Red spoke.
"Total bounty?"
"After reducing their bounties by half, I would say they are about 320 mil in total."
Everyone nodded. Grillby handed everyone that pirate crew's posters.
"Next I'd like to bring our attention to, the Mad D. MewMew crew, although she isn't a rookie, I feel like she is finally taking her power seriously, which is a bad thing."
Everyone nodded.
Grillby sighed.
"Sadly, the other Rookies are still undermined, but those three rookies, including The Soul Parlour Pirates, are for sure making it to the Archipelago if we don't do something. Either due to influential power, raw power, or both."
Felicia spoke up.
"The rookies get more exciting each generation! Can't wait to knock some heads!"
Red hit her over the head with her stick.
"Be quiet when you are around Grillby!"
Grillby laughed.
"Now now, settle down you two, it's quite alright. Now, Felicia, it won't come down to you having to be our frontline. But if the situation ever arises like, for say, another war, you are due a whole army to yourself."
Felicia pumped her arms in the air and started to dance in her seat, she always expressed her happiness through dancing.
"Now that's where you three come in..."
Grillby reached out his hand to the three Warlords sitting next to each other.
"I need you three to help stop the Rookies at certain points I devised that they will pass through."
The three Warlords were finally fully listening in.
"Usually I wouldn't listen to a man like you, but this job seems a bit interesting."
Chara and Gemini giggled to themselves.
"I'm glad you think so Chara, that's why I need you to be at the Florian Triangle."
Chara raised several tendrils to Grillby's neck, all the Admirals and the subordinates tensed up and got ready for a fight.
Grillby raised his hand slightly to let everyone know that it was fine.
"You want me to die out there?! No one lives through the Florian Triangle!"
Grillby was unamused.
"I didn't know The Demon Heir was scared of superstition, there's an island waiting for you there that we will provide reoccurring stocks on for your survival."
Grillby and Chara just stared at each other for minutes before she finally retracted her gooey tendrils.
Grillby sighed.
"Proximity...keep doing what you're doing, but watch out for Mont'fliea, that my only mission I'm assigning you. He is around that area, so if you see him..."
Grillby tossed an item at Proximity, he caught it effortlessly.
He opened his hand and everyone gasped in fear.
It was a golden transponder snail with a button on the top.
Proximity smiled, everyone else glared daggers at Grillby.
"Why would you give him a Buster Call Snail!"
Grillby raised his hand again.
"Proximity is the smartest and most mature Warlord out of the seven, and plus, if he uses it without warning..."
Grillby looked at Felicia and she pounded her fist together happily. Proximity actually had a nervous sweat when he saw that.
No one. Messed with Felicia.
"And lastly, you Gemini. You will be positioned at Water Seven, working undercover. With your self cloning Devil Fruit, it should be a breeze. Your mission, hunt down any low-tier pirates."
Gemini smiled and giggled madly to herself.
"Gladly hun!"
Grillby chuckled, although it was quite weird when he did. It was quite weird when he made any sound. As a man made out of fire, he didn't have a mouth or hole, he just spoke words magically. He even wore thin-framed glasses although there were no holes where his eyes should be, or nose to hold it up. Just orange flames in the form of a male humanoid figure.
However, the strongest force the Navy has to offer. The only ever person to tie him in battle is Vortanya, Frisk, and Felicia.
"I'm glad we can all see eye to eye, now that you've been informed, this is the part where I ask everyone but the Admirals, Vice Admirals, and Silva to leave. Thank you for attending."
Out of some form of respect for the quick hustle, the Warlords left peacefully through the window that Chara came in from.
Just the Admirals, minus Chronus and Don Marqueet, and Silva were in the room now. Ronaldo and Christie, we're issued to stay at the back of the room and listen to the following conversation. Since they were now ready for Admiral-level news.
Grillby wasn't surprised by the people that left, in fact, it was always like this. The only people to ever be in these meeting faithfully was Shyren, Felicia, Red, and Silva who would wait outside the door and eavesdrop, but no one would tell her that they knew that she was eavesdropping. Despite her blunders, they all recognized Silva Peers as one of the most hard-working Navy soldiers in the whole Corp.
Chronus is the busiest Admiral, always has to be the diplomat to solve problems around the world in speeches and treaties. And Don Marqueet was always a non-believer in public gatherings. The fact he showed up at all was alarming.
"Now, the moment I've been waiting for, because of urgency and the animosity it brings...the Soul Parlour Pirates..."
Everyone went shifty-eyed.
Grillby sighed as he handed out the flyers. Undyne's Poster, Ralsei's Poster, Susie's Poster, and Muffet's Poster.
"Red Von Suitel and Silva Peers may you please stand up and stand next to each other."
Red and Silva looked at each other in fear for what Grillby might have in mind before they stood next to each other.
Grillby, Shyren, and Felicia all positioned their seats across from the two ladies as if they were about to be interrogated. Shyren was humming to herself while looking away from them. Felicia says picking her teeth her nail, and Grillby was tapping his forearm.
"Lately, and quickly, this Spider-Girl, from a race we thought was extinct and we made sure that it was extinct, comes out with the ability to stretch and starts to forcefully hammer her way through the East Blue. She somehow converted our strongest Marine Captain at that time, Undyne, to join her. Then an unnamed doctor...and then the daughter of a really terrifying woman. However, Susie doesn't know of her lineage, as her mother intended and I plan to keep it that way."
He took a deep breath, rarely he spoke in a rant or in tangents. He cleaned his glasses before calming down.
"The defeated our pending Warlord, Marshal Bronzio, defeated Silva Peers"
He gestured his hand towards her.
"Destroyed the ancient landmark, The Emerald Peninsula, managed to awaken Hera and Gaia, broke through the Grand Line, making it easier for new coming pirates to ooze in. We can't allow her spree to continue, we can't afford it. Not to mention she had the middle initial 'D', meaning that she'll get away with most things."
Everyone was quiet. Grillby took two deep breaths, increasing his flame output.
"You two have a history with the crew, now tell me all you know...and we mean it, Silva!"
Silva gasped and covered her mouth.
She thought she could get away with not telling them the full story, but she now saw that it was futile.
"Fine...they didn't ambush me...it was a fair fight...I was winning, but then...then..."
Everyone leaned in.
"Morial came, and took control of her daughter's body and defeated me."
Everyone froze, the room, got cold.
"W-what there's no way! Unless...no..."
Grillby pounded his hand on the desk. Making everyone else in the room tense up in shock.
"Her Determination is linking with her own daughter...does she have full control over her daughter's body?"
Silva shook her head.
"No, in fact, it rarely comes out, it needs to be under a specific set of circumstances but even then it lasts for a short time before her daughter takes control again."
Grillby nodded slowly.
"That's good...that's good. Then we needn't worry about her at the moment, but we need to finish her fast in case she does master it."
The room was filled with many discussions on Morial and how strong is she and how they can stop it. They simply chalked it up to sending Grillby and Felicia after her.
"Now Red, what do you know?"
Red gulped.
"Well, back when I was on maternity leave, I was able to watch Muffet D. Baker, Sans, and Papyrus Snowdin grow up as children. I couldn't do much as I was harboring a child but, one thing I did know, and I'm not sure about the two skeleton brothers, but I know without a doubt, Muffet D. Baker is the protege of Frisk D. Remurr!"
Everyone was taken aback by this news.
Felicia pounded her fist again.
"These rookies got me fired up!"
Grillby nodded.
"Thank you for your input Red. I currently have the Soul Parlour Crew placed on the Continent of Constricta, with Hydra Gordons, the Warlord there. I played them with a fake invitation to initiate Muffet as a Warlord also, however, when she gets comfortable, the King will seize and arrest her. When the King, Zews, gives the call, we shall send one Admiral to confirm the trade."
Everyone nodded. Shyren tugged in his cape again.
"W-what if, they somehow, defeat Hydra and the King? What are their chances...?"
Grillby thought about it.
Everyone leaned in for his answer.
"Their chances of defeating and leaving the island before we can get them...about four percent."
Everyone nodded.
"This meeting is closed, thank you for coming."
Red, Silva, Felicia left the room. Shyren was about to before Grillby pulled her to the side. She blushed.
"You wanted a week's vacation?"
She nodded shyly while not looking directly at him.
He chuckled.
"Alright then, starting next week, since you've been working hard on the Dark Queen Susie case, I'll give you two weeks off."
Shyren blushed brighter.
"T-thank you G-Grillby, I'll be leaving now..."
She slithered her way out of the room.
Grillby sighed.
"-ty percent."
The cinder man turned to the two Vice-Admirals, Ronaldo and Christie.
"I'm an old man, a wise one at that from those amounts of years I've spent being a tactician. And if there's anything I've learned, is that unless something is 100%, always plan a countermeasure."
Ronaldo and Christie looked at each other weirdly. They raised their brow at him. Ronaldo was the first to speak up.
"That's cool man, but like, what do you mean?"
Christie nodded like they were two halves of the same energetic and free-spirited person. She only got like this when she was around her partner like this.
"Yeah! Whatcha mean?"
Grillby adjusted his posture and took soft paces to both of them.
"I have a job for the two of you. Seeing as how it goes, it either goes on the news or is forgotten to time. Are you two willing to be up for it?"
Ronaldo and Christie looked at each other and fixed their postures as well, one befitting the presence of a Vice-Admiral.
Grillby laughed.
"I always love the free spirits like you two. It's even more fun to assign missions with people like you and Felicia. However, fun aside, the task I'm going to send you two on, may be higher than your pay grade."
There was a brief silence before Christie spoke up.
"Doesn't matter sir! We'll take one of your missions!"
"Yeah!" said Ronaldo.
"Even if we die!"
"Now let's hold on a minute-!"
Grillby gave an amused chuckled.
"Listen you two, the plan I have going on at the Constricta Kingdom is pretty soundproof but vastly open to some interference by a specific person. A Warlord that I hadn't anticipated would've lived there for that long. Knowing him, he's up to something nefarious."
He turned his back to them to think.
Ronaldo was the first to speak up.
"Wait, you mean Hydra? You want us to apprehend Hydra Gordons?!"
Grillby sharply turned around.
"Not him directly. I plan for you two...to play a third party."
"Third-party?" They both said.
Ronaldo and Christie were no older than 18, so their voices peaked a little in a childish gleam.
"Precisely, I know my plan for the king to arrest the Soul Parlour crew will be affected one way or another. I'm not stupid enough to not consider that...I'm just asking if you two can make sure my plans go smoothly."
There was another silence in the room.
"Okay, sir! How many people do you need?"
Grillby took no time to reply.
"Just you two. I needn't anyone to impede on our already expedited process. You two are capable fighters and experienced in your field. I entrust you two to handle this problem."
Ronaldo and Christie proudly puffed out their chest.
"You guys will arrive at the country in a day through the sea train. Remember, play both sides. I want neither Hydra nor Muffet benefitting from this ordeal. Now, you two may go. You have two hours to stock up and leave. If luck has it, you should arrive by nightfall."
They both bowed and bolted out of the room. They were loyal to their passions.
"Oh and Christie..."
Christie stopped in her tracks before turning around.
She gave him a soft stare.
"Don't hold back."
